I was actually super impressed with this hotel. We stayed just one night during our long weekend trip to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We chose to stay here based on reviews and the fact they had breakfast. All employees we encountered were very friendly. The hotel was clean and quiet and we enjoyed the breakfast. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Watford.

I stayed here on Oct. 6th for one night and the room was disgusting. Oil residue on every surface, travel bottles of soap and lotion in the bathroom were used from previous guests and the odor was nauseating. I talked with the front desk and they didn’t have spare rooms and gave me a fragrance can to cover up the odor of whatever spray was used in there previously. I was told management was going to be in the next morning and to speak with them and I showed them pictures and told them what all happened. Nick, Trini, and one of the cleaners were all there and checked cleaning logs and didn’t have much of a reasoning to what happened just told my boyfriend and I that we didn’t sleep in a dirty bed. I was given the option of a refund or stay another night in a different room free of charge to make up for the disruption. I chose a refund and that they would call me when they got it handled and an hour later said booking.com was in charge of it and I had to go through them. Fast forward to this week finally being able to get ahold of booking.com they called the Watford to discuss what happened and Nick denied the claim and I was told The Watford was in charge of refunding me since they processed the charge. After getting off the phone with booking.com I called The Watford and Nick answered and I had asked him why he denied the claim and he said he didn’t but he knew instantly I was the “lady who took pictures of the dirty room”. Nick told me to call later in the day since it was only about 6am and Trini was not in till later and discuss it with her and he left a note and number. Around 2:35pm (ND time) I called to talk to Trini since I did not get a call and she was in a meeting so I waited till almost 5pm to call again and she had already left. I really do not recommend this place and the managers have been no help to me. All I wanted was the money back from this hotel and I’ve been chasing managers in circles to get the dispute taken care of. GROSS ROOMS, MANAGERS ARE NOT HONEST AND DO NOT CARE !! I probably did sleep in a dirty bed but they didn’t want any further issues so I hope this never happens to anyone else. TRYING TO DISPUTE A CHARGE WITH THEM IS A JOKE!!! I want my money and I hope everyone who stays here actually looks into their room and complains about odor and cleanliness. If this place is clean to you I am sorry because this is no better then some ran down super 8 or middle of BFE motel that smells like dirty socks and skunk ass. Enjoy The Watford👎🏼

Paid for a full week upfront, money was taken off my husband's card on a Thursday for Friday through the next Friday. Then they charged my husband's card again on Saturday at 3am for almost another $500! They couldn't tell us what the second charge was from and it put his card $70 in the negative! We needed to get diapers for our newborn and now we can't. Front desk was no help because there were no managers available. It has put our family in a serious bind..... If you stay here, keep a CLOSE watch on your charges. Hopefully they get this issue resolved and return the STOLEN money before we have to seek legal help. Be careful

What a great stay. Wonderful smaller hotel with great, friendly service. There's nothing special about the facility itself, but our stay was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff is really the plus and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

I could see this place was top notch by the time I came down from running my first bag up to my room. I stopped to tell the two clerks behind the counter how impressed I was. The place is exceptionally clean. The room was complete with microwave, refrigerator, Bible, and telephone (things a number of places are lacking these days). I could change the input on the T.V. so I could watch my Roku. Everything about this place is fabulous. The continental breakfast is worth the stay alone.

Google
I don't normally review hotels unless they are unusually bad or exceptionally good. The Watford falls into the later category. This gem, in the small town of Watford City, ND is the place you'll want to stay when visiting Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l Park- Northern Unit. The rooms are spacious, clean, and we'll furnished. Service is very good and location is nearby to most attractions in the area. Highly recommended.

This hotel earns its high stars rating. I would go here again without question. The rooms are clean. It is quiet. The breakfast is good and the people were excellent.

Not a bad hotel for the price! It had everything I needed and worked out well for me. Staff was good. My only concern was the breakfast was not good at all!

Yelp
The Watford has a pretty lobby and helpful staff. That is about as good as it gets. Our room was a king sized luxury room. While it was large, the air conditioning wasn't really working well. It got cold, but didn't blow it into the room. The bed was hot! Not sure what type of bed this was but it was hot and uncomfortable. Something in the box spring was broken so it slanted a bit. In the morning, my hubby checked out the free breakfast...it was a hard pass. Eggs made from powder and cold cereal...not appetizing. The next time we will skip this place and go somewhere else. BTW, the soap is called Tree something and it was horrible. Wouldn't lather up and felt like plastic...glad I brought my own.

Yelp
Great hotel in what seems to be a working mans town. Room was perfect. This is a full service hotel; has a bar, offers some food and has a better than average breakfast. We stayed a couple nights, destination Teddy Roosevelt National Park. It's very close to the small north unit of the park. 75 miles to the smaller south unit. Had a flawless stay.

Yelp
Decent accommodations. But the girl at the front desk was not very helpful when we arrived. Plus the walls are paper thin. Not only was I awoken by the next room's alarm an hour before I needed to wake up. And not only could I hear the room's occupant talking on his cellphone during his entire phone conversation... But I could actually hear the person he was talking to on his cellphone... That's pretty thin and not well insulated.

Yelp
I love this place. The staff is amazing and helpful. The rooms are well appointed and cozy. The beds are so comfortable. They have a lot of channels and descent TVs. Breakfast is always good and plentifully stocked. Every now and then they have a free taco night in the lobby. Hands down one of the best hotels I have stayed in.

Yelp
Booked a reservation and my flight was cancelled due to weather. They absolutely would not cancel my reservation. Never will book here again! I am certain they sold this room twice which should be criminal.

Yelp
Just want your $. Couldn't care less for the guest. I booked a room on 3/30 but could not make it because of a blizzard. I called that night and again the next day. I rebooked for 3/31, but when arrived I was told I would have to pay for both nights. When I called the night before the person could not tell me that even though I asked. I know this is an oil boom area and they can basically do what they want, but some things just are not right. The worst part of the experience was the cold stare I got from the manager who couldn't have cared less. I suggest the Comfort Inn across the street.

Yelp
Excellent hotel. Great service, large room and free breakfast. Excellent hotel for a small "city." Great for families

Yelp
I have stayed here several times before and they were good but not this time. To start with, they put a $2700.00 hold on my card for a $750.00 charge and every time I asked about it I got a different story. After I checked out I got the credit card people on the phone with the hotel people and they convinced her the hold was still in effect. About an hour later it was finally resolved. The WIFI didn't work, the hot water didn't work and the rates went up. Time to look around.
