Booking and checking in was easy and straightforward. All of our minor additional requests were organised before we arrived and with no fuss. During our stay a couple of simple maintenance issues were attended to promptly. The room had a great outlook across the Adelaide CBD and with 3 of us in the suite there was plenty of space. Undercover parking was a true bonus given the weather and proximity to shops and cafes even more so. Overall an excellent stay and we would definitely stay again. Thanks to Leigh and Alistair for their genuine hospitality.

The only thing that would have made this place better was a better quality of wi-fi since the reception to the room was spotty and inconsistent fluctuating between 1-2 and 3 bars. Other than that, everything else was quite nice. The hotel service desk person was very informative, helpful, and nice. They waved the indoor parking fee for signing up to the hotel loyalty program. Otherwise, it would have been $25 a night, or $15 a night outdoors. The room had everything that was needed except for a desk for a workspace. The bed was quite hard but comfortable. The AC worked great, and the balcony view was nice. Great location for food and shopping.

Jay, the security guard working nights at the Watson is a dead set legend! He is a staunch, super friendly and capable human being. Thank you for going above and beyond your normal duties for me in that bitterly cold evening to assist me with my central locking system mate. You really made my day in a very big way! I hope we cross paths again some day. 🤝 With thanks Jamie

Always love staying here. Super quiet so you get a good nights sleep, Clean and the best beds. Staff are all lovely and very helpful. Close to shops, hotel, restaurants and buses to the city in 15 mins. Amongst the beautiful trees and lovely walking path just across the road.

Experience might vary here depending on what sort of room you go for/are given. It’s a big place and some of the cheaper rooms overlook an internal courtyard and other apartments (including residential) so not much of a view or privacy. There was construction going on in the courtyard when I stayed so drilling during the day made it very difficult to work (lucky I wasn’t trying to sleep!) - would have been nice to be warned ahead of time but no disclosure from the hotel. Rooms themselves are reasonably well appointed with most things you could need - showing their age slightly with some things a bit worn and tattered but generally comfortable and clean. As other reviews have said, they really need to invest in better internet given the mobile coverage is a bit patchy and a work desk would be nice as currently the only place to work is a dining table with a cheap plastic chair to sit on. Pool and location are the absolute highlight - pool is huge and lovely and hotel is located next to supermarket, bakery, chemist, a couple of cafes/restaurants and pub. Easy uber or bus into the city. Front desk service is great and Accor ALL benefits are honoured without problem though it is annoying that the points earn rate at this brand is generally lower than other Accor brands. Overall, generally a solid offering if you need to be in the area and can get a good value rate.

This was my sixth or seventh visit to The Watson and I continue to be very happy with the hospitality and accommodation. I appreciate having a quality hotel in the area with easy access to the northern suburbs of Adelaide. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Our 1-bedroom balcony suite was very well equipped with all the facilities for a comfortable stay.

We stay here often as it’s convenient to visit my elderly grandmother. There was a mix up with our booking this time (not by the Watson but through Qantas) the manager saw our stress and went out of his way to do what he could to make it a happier stay! He excelled!! Thank you SO much we really appreciated it :)

Yelp
Cute, basic little boutique hotel outside the city centre in Adelaide. Not a lot to see in the immediate area, so if you do not have a car you might want to be a bit closer to the downtown area. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable. Small but usable bathroom with shower. Overall, no complaints for an overnight stay. If I went to Adelaide again, I would choose a more central location.
