The Watson Adelaide - Art Series

Booked online. Seamless experience with check in and check out. Undercover car parking and room rates all great value for money. Located next to Linear Park (awesome park for running, walking or cycling that stretches for many km and takes you directly to the city (5km away). Room itself was great. Comfortable bed, spacious room. I didn’t use the pool or gym, but they are available. Also close to public transport in a lovely suburb with supermarket and shops nearby. Essentially a hidden gem close to the city. I’m very happy with my stay.

Comfortable rooms with everything you need. Comfy bed. Room was tired though. Looked surface clean on first inspection but the closer/more you looked the more grime you saw - particularly in the bathroom.

Clean, spacious room. Excellent kitchen + bathroom. Secure undercover parking. |Close to Woolies and walking distance from the Sussex Hotel for food. Excellent cafe for breakfast is just downstairs.

After living here for three years I can confidently say this has been the worst residential experience I’ve ever had. The level of unprofessionalism from staff is honestly shocking. They are consistently rude, dismissive, and immature when dealing with residents. Instead of handling concerns with competence or respect, they respond with attitude and contradiction. Special mention to Lee at reception, who is consistently rude and unpleasant to deal with. Every interaction felt unnecessarily hostile, as if residents were an inconvenience rather than the people funding the building. He would not shy away from yelling at residents or guests if his authority felt challenged. It’s astonishing that someone in a front-facing role can behave so unprofessionally. The committee members are no better. condescending, disorganised, and clearly out of their depth. They make decisions that affect residents while seeming to have little understanding of what they’re doing. It would almost be comical if it wasn’t so frustrating to live through. I met with the committee directly to address several of the issues I experienced as a resident, and the meeting was a complete waste of time. I was met with closed-mindedness and outright disrespect. It was clear they had already made up their minds before I even walked into the room. Some members didn’t even look at me while I was speaking, which showed a complete lack of basic courtesy and professionalism. It felt dismissive and insulting. Safety is another major concern. Security is incredibly poor, and the building is designed so that anyone can wander into the building and roam the halls. There have been repeated incidents of people screaming in hallways or appearing to be under the influence of drugs in common areas, and nothing meaningful is ever done about it. It does not feel secure, and for the amount residents are paying, that’s unacceptable. The common areas are frequently dirty and poorly maintained. Alarms go off constantly for no clear reason. Car parking options are inadequate and frustrating. And yet the pricing is absolutely ridiculous for what you get. To think the strata rates here are comparable to major hotels in the city is beyond a joke. Absolutely no value for the price. I am beyond relieved to be leaving. I will never return, and I would strongly caution anyone considering moving here to think twice. Awful place.

A great place to stay when staying in Adelaide. It is 20 minutes from the CBD by driving and 58 minutes walk. If you're like myself that enjoys the walk to explore the place on the ground it's beautiful. The surrounding environment is also amazing and has shops nearby to buy groceries if you're not looking at eating out. Our room had an oven, microwave, stove, fridge everything you needed. Staff were friendly and when we asked for anything they were helpful.

Stayed for 2 nights in a studio suite.|The room was on the 8th floor.|The room consisted of a kitchenette, very comfy couch, 2 seater table and very comfy bed. The bathroom consisted of a large shower with very small shower head. The towels were large which for me is always a plus.|The tiles in the shower and around the bathroom could do with a good scrub but overall the bathroom was very clean.|The kitchenette has a coffee maker, stove top and a small fridge which had plenty of room in it.|There was only one window in the room which could’ve done with a privacy blind so you could leave the blockout blind fully up during the day. Our room overlooked many balconies in the side arm of the building.|A big plus was the ability to chrome cast.|Undercover parking and outdoor parking available.|This hotel is in a great location.|We would stay here again.

The staff were very friendly. I didn't realise when I booked that there was no restaurant, but the recommendations for food options close by were on point!! It was nice to have the closing times of the supermarket pointed out as well. Thank you so much!

The Watson is under the flight path to Adelaide Airport, we were on the 7th floor and the noise at night was terrible. It took quite some time to get the kids to sleep. In terms of the standard of the rooms, the two bedroom apartment we were in was run down and not very clean. I wouldn’t recommend.

Cute, basic little boutique hotel outside the city centre in Adelaide. Not a lot to see in the immediate area, so if you do not have a car you might want to be a bit closer to the downtown area. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable. Small but usable bathroom with shower. Overall, no complaints for an overnight stay. If I went to Adelaide again, I would choose a more central location.
