Heard this new concept place for a while and went to visit this new place in this great weekend weather, the place inside looks really unique in TO although a bit dim during the sunny afternoon, lots of stores with market food court downstairs. Did not find any brand names franchise and not Tims/Starbucks coffee shops either. But overall looks very attractive and I enjoyed my time there !

Google
The Well is a cool spot to explore — great mix of shops and casual eats. The architecture is beautiful and modern, making it a nice place to just wander. We spent most of our time downstairs looking for a bite to eat and loved the variety in the food court.

Google
Great place to explore with a nice food market. Pretty busy on Saturday, unsure of other days. Great design overall and it’s pretty much outdoors with some nice shops and a glass ceiling which adds to the atmosphere.

Google
A wonderful small shopping mall with an incredible food market. The mood and atmosphere is very busy yet intimate. The whole architecture is simply marvelous with a modern design and great lighting during sunny days. I stumbled upon this hidden gem and was blown away by it. Absolutely deserves a visit.

Unfortunately, we were only here for a short visit, but it sure made quite an impact on us. There's a great variety of dining options available in the eatery on the lower level. We really appreciated that several restaurants have a remote notification system, which we found convenient having found a table first. The covered canopy, open concept, along with many simple aesthetic details, made this a visually wonderful spot to enjoy! We'll be back to visit the shoppes, try other restaurants, and discover more about this urban mall in our city...

Google
Very modern looking mall utilizing a lot of natural light. Looks amazing to be quite honest. Well laid out and plenty of room to walk about. Some nice shops and great food in the lower level. There are often events held in the mall. It's generally a semi-outdoor mall.

Google
The architecture of The Well was beautiful! Not that many store options but their food market/ food court was surprisingly big and had a lot of options to choose from. Wish there were more stores but it’s definitely a good stop by if you need a bite somewhere. You can dine in with the restaurants on the side or get a quick bite at the food court.

Google
This is a nice outdoor mall. We came during Spring, so the weather was conductive to outdoor shopping. The Well has typical stores along with unique ones. They also host interesting pop-up events. The food court also has a nice selection of stalls offering typical franchises along with mom-and-pop food. We liked the food court.

Yelp
Tip: When you park at The Well, take a ticket. You can pay at kiosks everywhere, online by scanning the QR code on the ticket, or at the gate before you leave. For the longest time, I heard about The Well through friends. I had no idea what it was until I asked. I recently visited National, an bowling alley-arcade-bar establishment on the Upper Ground level of The Well. The Well is an outdoor mall. It has The Wellington Market, which is the food court. It also has a lot of shops and restaurants. The Well is on the northwest corner of Spadina Avenue and Front Street West. It's convenient to get here by taking the Spadina 510 streetcar. I came from Mississauga after work on a Tuesday. I drove on Front Street West heading east and made a left to park at The Well. I took my ticket and paid on my way out. I parked on P1. I took two separate elevators to get to National, which is on the Upper Ground level. I like that it's built for accessibility. The design is a bit strange having to take two different elevators to go up two levels. Parking rates are good for downtown Toronto. The daily max is $20 from 6 am to 6 pm. I do like the stores that The Well has. Indigo. Crumbl. Shoppers Drug Mart. Chatime. I have a lot more to discover, but I do like the mix. As with most developments downtown, there are condos and residences above the shopping and dining floors. It's convenient if you live in one of these places to come down for a bite to eat or shop before heading back home. As mentioned, the design takes getting used to. Elevators and escalators are found on opposite ends of this mall. See stairs? You'll be near the elevators and escalators. I didn't have a lot of time to check out the restaurants. What I did notice is that all entrances for eateries face the street, outside of the atrium. It's different. I'd like to go back and spend more time at The Well. I was there in the early evening, so I squeezed in as much as I could. I need to spend a casual day here of shopping, dining, and more. I like different. The Well is special because it's different. It's a nice addition to the downtown core. (182)

Yelp
I really love the market at the well. Some of the best local spots in the city are featured there. For tourists who can only be at the downtown core, it's pretty great for options. I ended up satisfying my cravings by having my favourite taco from Gus Tacos (fried fish). They would do better with more seating options and washroom locations. I think also having food events there would be fun, it's such a convenient spot and plenty to choose from. It's definitely going to be a regular spot for me.

Yelp
Awesome venue in the lower 3 floors of a large residential/office building. Great shops, great casual dining options, supermarkets. Loved the back area with bowling, games, two bars. When I am back I will mos def come here.

Yelp
The Well located near Spadina and Front is an outdoor shopping mall with a huge food court (called The Wellington Market), shops, and restaurants. There is also a fitness boutique (Sweat and Tonic), as well as Arcadia Earth (an immersive art experience) located at The Well too. There are also multiple residences and condos above the shopping mall. The mall can be quite impressive the first time you go visit, however, the design of the mall gets quite confusing as elevators and escalators are only found at opposite ends of the place where you have to walk to either end to go up or down a level. Not all stores are fully occupied at The Well (I'd say less than half) where finding the restaurants can be confusing (all the restaurant entrances are located outside the atrium, not inside). Overall, they currently have decent stores located at The Well. The only real downside of The Well is the overall design of the place.

Yelp
A pretty cool outdoor shopping mall with a big food court and lots of nice food choices. It's an amazing place in the Front St and Spadina neighborhood. You can easily spend a good half day, or even a full day, for shopping, eating, or simply just looking around there. Stylish architectural structure for nice IG photos. In terms of eateries, unlike common food court found in GTA shopping malls, they have quite a number of specialty stores available there. All in all, it is an interesting place you can easily spend some good time there during weekend with friends and families.

Yelp
Parking garage is not cheap for shopping. The garage goes below ground here as well. Parked on P3 B. Saturday and Sunday flat rate is $15. Not so great to have to park to shop at all. It's mostly cold today and the majority of the shop is outside. It's an outdoor mall. Only the food court is inside. No one seems to know how to get to the shopping entrance at all. The food court isn't too bad, a variety of options to choose from for sure.

Yelp
Cool outdoor mall. I like the artwork in the middle. It reminded me of some of the malls you see in New York. Here you will find residential and offices along with some dining options. It is located near the center of downtown.

Yelp
The Well is an open-air mall in the heart of downtown. The setting reminds me of the open-air malls in some cities in Europe (especially Germany) and California. Vendors include apparel stores, furniture stores, health clinics, fitness and wellness centre, and lots of great food selection (ranging from high-end restaurants and cocktail bars, to cafés and a food hall / food court with global choices that are superior to other mall courts). The supermarket at the lower level is pretty good - small but has all the basic essentials, including fresh produce and wide selection of international products (pasta and sauces from Italy, ingredients to make sushi, imported snacks, etc.). There are also grab-and-go items such salads, inari pockets, overnight oats with nuts and berries, chia seed puddings, etc. There is also a 24/7 convenience store (Aisle 24) that is cashier-less. Wellington Market Food Hall (the food court at the lower level) has a great and eclectic selection of foods from all over the world: Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, Canadian, Mexican, Indian, fusion, and everything in between. The popular vendors are Blue Claw (for their lobster rolls), Uncle Tetsu (for Japanese cheesecake, including special seasonal flavours), Samosarie (for their colourful bite-size samosas with SO MANY different types of creative fillings), Japadog, to name a few. For those wanting a different entertainment experience, Arcadia Earth at the terrace / upper level provides a unique Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) experience with the theme of promoting Earth's sustainability. Each room / section transports you to a different world or ecology habitat, and brings forth a different type of environmental issue to tackle. You can either download the app using your phone or tablet, or borrow one of their iPads on site. The whole experience takes about 1 hour. Sometimes there are also pop-up events at the lower level, with music and different vendors.

Yelp
An outdoor mall that's massive. Went here with my sister for a cycling class we've booked at Sweat and Tonic and walked around the mall after. I like how sometimes they have small local shops available that changes from time to time and occasionally you might hear someone busking and singing where the stairs are located. The foodcourt they have is also pretty amazing with many different variety options. I got to try one of Isabella's Donuts, Gus's Tacos, and sushi. Overall, they have so many unique options for you to try which you can't get in any regular mall. So I would definitely check it out!

Yelp
It's a nice outdoor shopping mall on the intersection of Spadina and Front Street. It's both accessible by TTC and if you drive here, they have a spacious parking lot which is very convenient. They have a flat rate of $15 for weekends and holidays that's fair. Most of the stores, specially on the third floor haven't opened up yet. And I hope the Food Market opens up soon enough; that would make this place much much busier. I loved Indigo; you can find books and collections here that other Indigo stores don't sell.

Yelp
The latest outdoor mall in the heart of downtown Toronto. It offers a robust food court, new restaurants, a market and local shops here. The architecture is beautiful and spans across 7.7 acres. There's residential suites above, and also has office spaces. The space really seems to be a one stop shop for people living in the area. You have the sweat and tonic workout classes here, a small grocery store, restaurants, and a food court. They really have everything for everyone. A great additional landmark for Toronto and definitely a great space to check out. Curious to see how it'll be in the winter when the snow hits, as I can see it being a huge wind tunnel since it's outdoors.

Yelp
I returned recently to visit one of the newer restaurants that opened here. The complex looks fully open and constructed now, and is a nice addition to the local dining scene, offering a mix of quick bites to full-service restaurants. The beautifully constructed complex is enhanced by small events and popups that usually takes place over the weekends. However, the retail options remain somewhat lacking, so unless there's a particular restaurant that draws me in, I find myself less inclined to visit The Well. Nonetheless, it's a convenient establishment for those who live near by, and promising for food enthusiasts in the area.

Yelp
Today is the grand opening! Lots of local establishments and some that are new to the Toronto food scene. Everything is brand new with lots of seating. Need some groceries? Pop by the specialty food shop. Interested in seafood? There's fish and chips and also lobster rolls. Looking for Chinese food? They have it. Just need a burger? They've got you. Bubble tea? Yep. The one place that really caught my eye was the Japadog. I've only had that in Vancouver and it's always been a go-to when visiting the west coast. I personally think there should be more variety. There are too many places for various beverages and sweets. I'm biased since I much prefer savoury. I would've liked to see Belgian fries or a poutinerie. Maybe down the road! Dog friendly! Bring your fur kid(s)!

Yelp
Visited the well chatime location and all went well! Located at the lower level in the wellington market. Service was quick & easy. They also have a self serve kiosk to order from. The chatime spot is quite small but plenty of seats in the food hall to grab a seat!

Tara C.

Yelp
It is a shopping mall with a food court. There is absolutely nothing special about this place. I really did not get all the hype.
google avatar

Yelp
Iconic architecture and great brands to discover in this unique retail experience. I'm here almost everyday to sweat it out at S&T, however spending 4-6 hours at The Well is easy with the diversity of food and shopping to browse when you're waiting for a class or taking a stroll in between meetings (remote work ;)) Things tend to be on the pricier end but that comes with Downtown Toronto in a premium location. My only quip is that (while it's still under construction) the circulation is awful -- there's literally 2 escalators (one at each end of the complex) and elevators tend to be slow with confusing signage. Once it's fully operational I expect it to be such a huge spot with a great mix of retail experiences.

Yelp
I've been here twice, which is quite a lot for a tourist in a 5 days trip. I really like the vibe here. Upscale, clean, tidy, and friendly.

Yelp
I came here a couple of times and they were still working on bringing in new stores. The ambiance is great and perfect for a nice stroll. There's a good variety of shops and when you're done shopping or walking around, you can see various performances on difference days. In the winter there is an ice skating show and sometimes a nice relaxing buskering. When you're hungry, you can head over to the food court with a good amount of selections. There's even a mini grocery store and a couple of bakeries. I highly recommend to come here on your day off to just hang out and chill with good food and good people. Looking forward to seeing the final with all shops opened. :)

Yelp
Love that this place is dog friendly! Also loving the food vendors and a couple of shops like Mr. Surprise and Le Creuset. The only cons is that since it's outdoors, it's quite cold.

Yelp
This gem was the most overwhelming amazing food court I'd ever been to. All that was missing was a rep giving out samples at the tons of quality restaurants located in the food court. No matter what you're craving, your dietary restriction, or price point, there's something for EVERYBODY here. I cannot wait to come back to try every single option lol
google avatar

Lilian C.

Yelp
It was a nice sunny day so it was good to visit this new marketplace. I can already imagine in the winter time there won't be as many people visiting except the food market as the shops have their own doors and you still have to access them through open air mall. Even though the builder was smart to at least put a roof to block rain and slow, but without doors in winter time it's still not catered to Canadian weather, lots of wind tunnel effect will blow people a lot. Lots of people were in the food market area underground level, I guess it's probably due to the place just opened recently. There are a lot of options to choose from, good to go through them. I had some ox tail and chocolate sample only as I was not hungry, ox tail regular menu set seems reasonable, I'll definitely try for the good value. Haven't really experienced other services, but generally pretty friendly.

Yelp
Review is for Bridgette Bar at the Well - great location and vibes! Recommend the happy hour that runs daily 2 - 5 pm!

Yelp
A favorite spot to walk around downtown. The space is super cool and has lots of different shops. Theres a large food market downstairs, and other trendy restaurants all around also well. It does get a little cold during the winter, walking outside between stores.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice outdoor mall for the summer time. There are often events happening there. Lots of new shops and restaurants opening up.

Yelp
I do hope to see this mall evolve in the next year or two. It has potential, but it's clearly a work in progress. The parking structure, turns are narrow but not abnormal in Toronto. There appears to be a fair amount of parking, and electric car parking too. I think the signage to elevators could be a bit better. There was some signage that said ' "Shop" and "Work", so I could guess maybe one set goes to mall and other set is to the offices. Best guess? I also notice as I was taking elevators, but on different levels there are different number of elevators so I don't think they all go to same number if floors. Once, I pressed 3 sets of buttons to go down, trying my chances to see which one came first. There are some seating spaces scattered around and picnic tables too. But you gotta hunt for them on the lower level. The area by corner of Spadina and Front feels very dark, much different than the promo material advertises. Also noisey and colder than other parts too. I hope to see it evolve more in the future. But it's a work in progress.

Yelp
looks really nice but lacking in shopping options.... lot of property,,, not much reason to return

Serge B.

Yelp
Great choices what kills it for me is the noise, loud music and multiple dogs, yes the food hall when I went was full of dogs & not the service kind. So if you enjoy eating dog hair it's a great place! It's unfortunate. It's offer an interesting sellection of eateries, has a couple of nice court terraces & it's architecturally beautiful place.
