A beautiful small theater, with comfortable seating and great viewing. Ample and convenient parking along the street. So happy to learn about the history of the Edmund Fitzgerald, and to see Home Free!! I learned that many gather on November 10th, every year to hear the ringing of bells for the 29 people who perished while serving on the Fitzgerald in 1975. I don't remember where that gathering is located, but I'm sure that a quick Google will identify the venue. Certainly a beautiful tribute with Home Free championing the cause. Thank you for the great experience, the history lesson, and beautiful music!! :) Blessings :)

This is NOT directed towards the staff. this is directed entirely towards the owner. I went to a movie last week, and this has been weighing on me. I went there with my girlfriend and the staff that was there were AMAZING, however when I saw the owner walk up and demand to the girl behind the counter to fill his pop for him and then berate her for saying she had customers, it was completely out of line. I have come here a few times and each time I see him harassing the employees or just being a jerk. The way he operates a business is outrageous, conning good people of West Duluth out of their money for his hair-brained ideas. Which he has not followed up on ANY of them. I am well connected to many people in Duluth and I have heard nothing but rotten things about him. I'm only posting the facts on here and not posting any opinions as to not cause any false claims. This theatre would be much better off if he sold it and whatever new owner bought it (because it would be a shame to let this fall to a bank or just close) treats his employees with respect, dignity, and a sense of gratitude for not just quitting their first day. edit: I got a notification from google that the owner of this account has deleted my review. I've come to the conclusion that if he is deleting negative reviews he must be deleting more than just mine. shame on him for trying to cover up the truth of how he treats other humans

Such a great performance venue and they also show movies. We saw Walter Trout here on July 8th, 2024. Such an amazing show at this amazing place. Get on their notification list for future performances. You won't be didmdappointed. Light food and great adult beverages available for those that wish to partake.

Horrible experience…. Took my child to see Jurassic world. He is hyper obviously stayed right next to me. Sat right next to the exit incase he got to be too much. He wasn’t yelling, crying or being loud. Unless he got spooked and would go “oh no dinosaur”. He would say the Dino’s names aloud when he’d see them. He knows them all. Not loudly just speak them. This rude lady came and grabbed me from behind and kept insisting for HER TO TAKE HIM OUTSIDE AND PLAY. I said no and that he isn’t bothering anyone as the people in the back row of the theater were chatting and laughing and being louder than my son. She then came bringing him crackers trying to take him with her and he literally cowered between my legs because she got in his face and was trying to grab him… then a man came up to me and said I needed to leave until I can get him to be completely silent. Mind you again they were all in the back being so loud that I could hear THEIR conversations word for word. I could understand if he was throwing a fit and running around. He was either standing between my legs or sitting in my lap excited to see his favorite things ever. DINOSAURS. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Went to this theatre for the first time to watch a dinosaur movie with a dinosaur obsessed toddler who was SO excited. He sat nicely with the two of us as he has been to many movies in theatres before and knows how to behave. There was a very talkative, loud group behind us that I could hear over the movie many times despite us sitting as far forward and away from them as possible. That being said, the occasional “oooo” and “t-rex” “dinosaur” from my child had not one but both of the couple mentioned come up to us. Initially a woman came up and grabbed me from behind, startling me, only to insist “can I take your little one” and try grabbing and pulling him away from us. After numerous declines she went and grabbed him crackers to “keep him quiet we can hear you” and then return to her seat where she continued loudly talking over the movie. Then about ten minutes later the man with her came down and said “why don’t you leave until he can be quiet” as my child was still quietly seated in my lap eating his snacks, watching the movie. The man also returned to the group that continued loudly talking and laughing over the movie. We left halfway through being we were so uncomfortable, stopped at the desk to explain the horrible experience we had just spent $50 on and were told the couple mentioned is the owner and his wife. Moral of the story, don’t bring kids to kids movies here! Please note as mentioned my child was seated and engaged the entirety of the movie, just happy to be there. I could understand if he were upset or rambunctious but that is far from the case. This will be my first & last time here. I am incredibly disappointed.

Beautiful place with a vintage look and feel. Definitely something we need more of in this town. The place outside draws in people, and inside has the beautiful blue room. I like that there are movies as well as on stage performances, a nice change from the standard corporate movie theater style.

We were there to see "The Band" and we loved it! The whole thing was great! The staff, the seating, and the ambiance of it all was great . We're looking forward to seeing the "Sir Elton John" event. As he is one of my favorites. Can't wait! Thank you West Theater! Sheri
