They ask for a cover but it did not feel worth it at all. And asking others in my party, we got charged different amounts for entry. I have been to skateboard rinks that have more ambience than this place, it felt more like a "toy bar". The food is not very good; ordered some Nachos and they were very blant. The beverages did not fare better. A friend ordered a mojito, it tasted like water with some mint leaves on top. Service did not feel appropiate either, I was not given my receipt after closing my tap, only after leaving the place I realized I got charged more than $12 for something I didn't ordered. I know this because I counted my drinks and my food. Extremely disappointed and I won't be coming back.

Just moved from Denver and I love this place. Lots of good swing dancers and line dancers Sooooo many good dancers, Large dance floor, reasonable prices Free bull ride rides, good food, free water. The live band is amazing I mean, what more could you want?

Strolling into The Westerner in West Valley feels like you’ve just ridden your horse straight into a neon lit saloon where the Wild West never died, and rides ALL NIGHT LONG. The mechanical bull sits there like an iron beast daring every cowboy and cowgirl to sacrifice their dignity for eight glorious seconds. (Which is a long time to last in my bedroom) Karaoke nights hit harder than a stampede, with folks belting out George Strait and Shania like it’s a showdown at high noon. Yeeehaw!!! Drinks flow like a busted water tower on a hot July day, each round making your boots stomp louder and your twang get thhhicker. By midnight, the dance floor spins like a lasso gone rogue, pulling strangers into two-step oblivion. The morning after feels like you’ve been trampled by your own herd, with the smell of whiskey, saddle leather, and regret still clinging to your hat. Yet somehow, you’ll find yourself saddling up again next weekend, chasing that same dusty, rowdy, honky-tonk magic!! Yeeehhaaww!!!!!

I was really surprised, this place is enormous. It has a separate karaoke room, smoking Lounge, with fire pits end tables you can take your drinks out, live music, line dancing swing dancing free lessons prior to the music starting Services excellent

Mentally disabled publicly humiliated by management from the Westerner. Pulled from the line waiting to enter, the management staff pulled aside a well known patron known to sufferer from mental trauma. After calling out non-compliance regarding ADA regulations the Westerner had to repaint their parking lot to finally include those with disabilities by giving them a place to park. However, they then pulled out directly in front of the main entree and entire line (ask them for camera footage) and humiliated a mentally disabled patron who suffered from severe anxiety and panic attacks. Forcing this trauma to now extend to walk away while the line protested. A panic attack then hit this disabled person as the manager turned his back and walked away smugly. The only thing left said was the manager telling him to never come back. Whistle blowers be ware. Those with disabilities especially need to be warned. The atmosphere died at the cruel act against completely non-violent, diplomatic review written and posted. Feel free to reach out to me regarding any and all specifics of this incident and vial act from petty owners After being mocked because of my disability which has been fully recognized by the ADA and SSDI - in the panic state driven by the owners I soon found they not only discriminate but are not in full compliance of the ADA requirements. Recent changes in employees from those trained to those who are cheap and verbally abusive to the mentally disabled. - The pictures and videos won’t be posted but saved for future action as needed.

I’ve been going here since 2018, it’s my favorite place to line dance in salt lake. love the bartenders the food the drinks. I’ve never had an issue with any of the employees and when I’ve had issues with other dancers or drunkards security’s taken care of me . I’ve never felt unsafe at the stern 🥰 that hardwoods healed me more than therapy ever could. Made some of the best friends and memories in this bar I could ask for ! Foods always been great , the cheese fries are my favorite go to! Sometimes it’s a bit of a wait but that’s to be expected especially on a busy night like Friday or Saturday! Always something to do even if you don’t dance! Mechanical bull, kareoke , paint night on Thursday!

I don’t think I’ve ever been treated this bad in a bar /pub/restaurant. Slightly feel like it was the color of my skin that was the problem. I’m sure it gets busy some evenings, I’m sure others have full time jobs…. And the last thing you want to do is deal with people, but it is your choice to be in customer service. My food was sooooo cold. The attitude was definitely uncalled for. As expensive as the items are here, what you order…. like food should come out at a decent temperature. I don’t think I’ll recommend this place in the future. Definitely not having my friends have their birthday events here again.

Had an absolute blast at the Westerner! The music was awesome all night — great mix that kept the energy high. The bull ride was the highlight of the evening — so much fun to watch. Huge shout-out to Zach (the bull operator) for keeping the entertainment going. Ashley at the front bar made me some great drinks and was so friendly, and also Kat for being so helpful all night. Can’t wait to come back!
