"What's the vibe? The modern, chic Westin Charlotte lives in a funky, instantly recognizable high-rise amid a sea of Uptown skyscrapers. Is it part of a chain?Westin is a part of Marriott, and it participates in Marriott's Bonvoy rewards and loyalty program. Tell us about your room. The room design isn't anything for a shelter magazine spread, but Westin is known more for its experience than its look, anyway. Ergonomic work spaces, those signature Heavenly beds, rain showers: gang's all here. Is there a charge for Wi-Fi?Yes, $12.95 a day. How are the food and beverage options?Breakfast (not included in the rate) is either buffet or a la carte, and both are rather pricey. Better yet, head to SoCo Cafe for Starbucks coffee and a croissant before heading out. JP Charlotte has all-day dining and SoCo Bar is on hand for post-work cocktails and light bites. How did you find the service?Staff is helpful and friendly. What's the crowd like?Wellness-minded worker bees who like their meetings with a side of matcha. How's the location?Everything is right here, including the Convention Center, making this a good choice for conventioneers and anyone attending events. Additionally, the hotel has 28 meeting and event venues of its own. Is there anything you'd change? The Wi-Fi fee—c'mon, guys. Any other hotel features of note? There's a well-equipped fitness center with an indoor pool and sundeck. What's the bottom line? The Westin enjoys a great location and nicely toes the line between chilled out and professional." - Nancy DePalma

The service here is excellent! We stay at this Hotel when we come to Charlotte because of the Staff here. Everything else is nice, but the staff puts this Hotel over the top for us. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Nice conference rooms for all needs. The remodel of the lobby and restaurant is very well done. Overall, a great place to stay in Charlotte. Highly recommended.

Stayed at the Westin Charlotte while attending a convention next door, and the location couldn’t have been better—just steps from the convention center. As a Marriott Ambassador member, I felt very welcomed throughout my stay. The executive lounge was a standout—great space to relax or catch up on work. I really appreciated the option to self-park instead of only valet, which made things more convenient. Room was clean and comfortable, elevators were fast, and the lobby was bright and beautiful. Would absolutely stay again.

I first want to say that I never leave reviews, even though I know I should sometimes, but I couldn’t not leave a review after this past trip.||We just finished an 8-day stay at The Westin Charlotte. We travel to Charlotte often because we own a business and a home here, and we genuinely love Charlotte. Over the past 7 years, we’ve stayed at many of the Marriott properties in and around Charlotte, and I can absolutely say that this was by far the best experience we’ve had in our years here. In fact, it’s one of the top stays we’ve had at any U.S. based Westin or Marriott property since Marriott acquired Starwood.||Our experience started with Taylor at check-in (I hope I’m spelling that right!), who was incredibly polite and thorough while reviewing our upgraded room. On a side note, we were genuinely happy to receive an upgrade, something that’s become much less frequent at many Charlotte and other U.S. properties, even with Ambassador status.||The excellent service continued throughout our stay, especially with Symone at the front desk. She was always warm, helpful, and quick with answers to our questions, whether about the hotel or the Uptown area. We truly looked forward to seeing her and saying hello each day.||The Club Lounge here is one of the best Marriott club experiences we’ve had anywhere in the U.S. Every team member there was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. But the real standout was Celeste. Every morning, she greeted us by name with a big smile and positive energy. She radiates warmth and gratitude, the kind of person who makes your day better just by being herself.||I’ll close this by saying the team at The Westin Charlotte is exceptional. This property should be the model for how hospitality management is done at Marriott. You feel seen and heard here, all while enjoying a beautiful, well-run hotel that truly feels like a home base while traveling.

I had a great experience at this beautifully renovated hotel. The rooms were spotless, modern, and very comfortable—clearly reflecting the care put into the recent upgrades. The location is fantastic, with a variety of restaurants, cozy coffee shops, and a Whole Foods just a short walk away. The onsite restaurant was a pleasant surprise, offering delicious food in a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and charm!

Google
Great Hotel... Fantastic location, very cental...we were there for a convention, which was RIGHT NEXT DOOR, which was great! Arrival is quick and easy, check in was quick and easy. The hotel is very well kept and clean. We were upgraded to a king sized bed room on an upper floor so we had a great street view (no that Charlotte is that big anyways). Room bathroom were impecable... and linens were great. I do have one complaint... the beds were very very hard and the pillows were extremely thick. In an of itself this should not be a problem, but since they are filled with artificial material there is no way to "unfluff" (is there such a word?) them... My wife said that the pillows were so thick that she felt that was sleeping standing up! Apart from that the hotel is fantastic and we would definitely re-book here if necessary

“I’m the best there is at what I do” - Wolverine||Jordan is a valet attendant on the weekends at Westin Hotel Uptown Charlotte, NC. Much like Wolverine, he’s the best at what he does! I didn’t need valet service but I needed assistance with a flat tire. I’m from out of state and wasn’t familiar with the area. My husband and I were visiting from Gulf Shores, Alabama for the Heroes Comic Convention. I was exploring Charlotte while my husband attended the Heroes ComicCon. Jordan was more than willing to help in my time of need and made sure I found a safe location for the repair. He wouldn’t allow me to tip him at that particular moment, but I found out he likes comics just like my husband. It’s safe to say, Jordan was my Super Hero this weekend! I’m forever grateful for his kindness and hope his family knows what an amazing young man they have raised.

This is an amazing place to stay if you are visiting the city. It is very convenient, they have parking on site. Located downtown, you really don't need to drive anywhere unless you are planning on visiting other locations outside of downtown. Plenty to do, there are lots of restaurants, museum's, stores nearby, bar's and it is a short walk to the Stadiums. The service was wonderful. Room's are spacious Highly recommend.

Google
The Westin Charlotte nails the business-travel-meets-leisure balance. The rooms are spacious and comfy — plenty of room to crash or crank out some emails (or both, if you’re ambitious). The location is prime: easy walking distance to bars, restaurants, and whatever post-meeting mischief you’re into. The staff? Super friendly. Check-in was smooth enough to make you wonder if you actually did check in. On-site, you’ve got Dogwood for a drink or bite, and a coffee shop with grab-and-go salads and snacks that won’t make you feel like you just raided a gas station. Bonus points for the decent gym and well-kept meeting rooms. Would absolutely stay again — especially if I wanted to pretend I was being productive while secretly planning my next cocktail stop.

Yelp
Love this hotel! We stayed here for TWELVE nights for the world's longest meeting, and I would have stayed at least one night longer, the experience was so pleasant. All staff were professional and welcoming, every single one. The restaurant had amazing breakfast - we had the buffet four mornings and the other days worked our way around the menu. All food was cooked with love, and especially the French toast and the grits The bar handled nightly random assortments of people with finesse, and the drink prices were the same as nearby bars.

Yelp
Stars solely for location and proximity to convention center. Overpriced and unaccommodating. It seems like they are undergoing renovations, but in the meantime they are not making any concessions or giving any discounts to guests for the awkwardness and inconvenience. The rooms are tiny. Shared a room with two double beds and we were practically on top of each other. Only two small, basically unusable drawers. Room service is delivered in a to go bag with plastic utensils, disposable boxes, and no condiments. The "fitness center" is a box... smaller than the hotel rooms. It has three treadmills, three peleton bikes, some dumbbells and med balls , and a bench. That's it. I was in there at 6am with 5 other conference attendees and we were on top of each other too. Super disappointing. Since I couldn't wait all day for an available cardio machine, I figured I would take the stairs up to my room on the 20th floor. Nope, can't do that either. I may go to the YMCA for tomorrow mornings workout...

Yelp
The Westin Charlotte had a great location downtown so I was excited to be able to walk to most of the places I wanted to go (Whole Foods, my office, dinner, etc). The check-in process was exceptionally easy as they offer the mobile check-in and mobile-keys so I never even needed to stop by the front.. I just used my phone the entire time. The lobby was big and spacious and once up to my room, I was pleased with the cleanliness and that it was updated overall! The two things I didn't love about my stay were the gym and the security. Each day while I stayed seem to have some issue going on where security were called and I wondered how safe it actually was. My team members also noticed the issues with security and safety which didn't help with my confidence. On the gym, it is nothing like what is shown in the photos as it's closed for renovations. In the interim, they are offering a make shift gym with a couple of free weights and then a treadmill/ bike OR you can get a day pass and walk to the YMCA. I didn't love either of these options and ended up paying to go to another gym. All in all, this is a hotel I would stay in again if traveling for work as the location is good and I was able to work around the two issues.

Yelp
Very nice hotel and rooms were clean. Priced favorably and located conveniently to attractions in downtown Charlotte.

Yelp
We were forced to stay over in Charlotte (AA fiasco) and we were placed in a run down hotel by our airline. It took us to stay there less than an hour before we realized we'd need to stay elsewhere. The Westin had availability and so we booked and took an Uber ride over. The hotel was clean and in a safe area. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming- they even gave us a free upgrade! Upon checking into our room we were on the 7th floor and in the corner - we had wonderful views. The hotel room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The elevators do not work unless you have a keycard which adds to the safety. After checking in although exhausted we were hungry and luckily their restaurant onsite was still open at 10 pm! We had a nice dinner and the food was surprisingly good. Al thought i don't ever foresee myself going to Charlotte or getting stuck at the airport again- I'd def recommend this hotel to anyone who is searching in the area.

Yelp
Good Day everyone. My family and I stayed at this hotel and it is not family friendly. We had to park 15 minutes walk away from the hotel. Their recommended parking did not allow for overnight parking. So in reference if you you want to stay with a family please Reserve somewhere else.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Stayed here as a guest for work for 1 night. Our company rented one of the banquet halls for a function and hosted all the out of town employees here. The hotel is right in town with a parking garage where you can self or valet park. The interior of the hotel is extremely nice, very upscale and made staying there for the work event feel a little more special. I had a room on the 8th floor and it was extremely spacious with a great view of the city. I can't really speak to much more of the room as it was a place for me for me to change clothes and sleep as I had an early flight the next day. From what I saw and my brief experience, I would love to stay at this or another Westin again. I did sign up for the Mariott Bonvoy free progam, so who knows, maybe I will.

Kathy L.

Yelp
Change the sheets! I can't believe for a "four star hotel" ~$250 a night, they didn't change the sheets (but made the bed, trying to pass it off as clean). It took over an hour to finally get a resolution. I was moved to a different room, where the sheets appeared clean. I would never stay at another Westin. You don't get complimentary breakfast, either. It's just unbelievable, especially while COVID is resurfacing, that they'd leave rooms nasty. When I first called down, a man brought linens up to me and tried to hand them to me, as if I was going to do it. For $250 a night, I am paying for someone else to! Stay somewhere else, save your money for a true four star. This needs to be downgraded 2 stars, but at the very least, 1.

Melissa F.

Yelp
Such a positive experience @ the Westin! Room was ready early for us. We had a lovely breakfast at the restaurant within the hotel, as well as some drinks at the bar. The staff was so friendly and kind. The parking situation is ideal where the garage is attached to the hotel. They have self park and valet options. The garage has complimentary electric chargers in the garage as well for EVs. Definitely would recommend if looking for a hotel that's centrally located in Uptown. We walked to the Green + Mint Museum from the hotel.

Becky W.

Yelp
Clean rooms and nice friendly staff when checking into the hotel. The restaurant is also very good and serve lunch and dinner.

Jared M.

Yelp
3.5/5 experience. The valet staff did really well navigating a lot of vehicles coming in for the concert we attended. The hotel staff got us right into the room we reserved without any issues as well. The room itself aside from the bathroom was generally clean; however, the bathroom appeared to have not been touched from the last tenancy...with used washcloths still hanging in the shower. Yikes. We'd probably be at a 4 or 4.5 if we didn't run into this issue. The bed itself was good for at least one of us, ha. So, if you like a more firm mattress you're in luck. If not, then probably ask for more pillows to use or attempt the sofa (if you have one). There were plenty of options to eat and enjoy around the area where you could walk, which made it nice to leave the vehicle through our entire duration. Hoping we have better luck next time we're back.

Betty T.

Yelp
I've contacted corporate about the overcharge, rude front desk manager Symone Smith and the other snarky unprofessional front desk associates. They did not offer to assist me (being disabled) to move to another room. I had to come get the front desk key to move from a room that was not cleaned to a clean room. I am disappointed that I did not get a full refund of the money I was overcharged without explanation. They just reversed the incidentals fee. I'm also offended about being stonewalled when I called corporate. I'm being passed around now. So calling them won't help me anymore. Your empty words and boilerplate email "solution" are useless. Your staff act with impunity knowing nothing is going to happen to them and are okay with laughing at disabled people. Ignore any so-called response from them about a future stay.I don't recommend this hotel. Go where your business is appreciated and you aren't fed empty words. They refuse to refund!

Adria C.

Yelp
Before you book, ensure you are 100% sure you can make this reservation with no changes needed! After I booked, my card was charged for the entire reservation cost. They do not allow modifications, if you cancel you will not receive a refund. Front desk staff was friendly, however no one notified me of the incidental charge of $66.75 - while looking at my bank statement I found this charge. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed is firm which I loved! The bedding was just 4 flat sheets - I requested a blanket to have something a little extra (a fleece blanket was brought to my room). I was on the 10th floor, in a corner room, had two large windows and able to see uptown which was nice. The hotel is within walking distance of so much!! The shower had a rainfall shower head and a handheld, they also offer bodywash, conditioner, and shampoo which smelled so good!! I assumed a hotel of this stature would have a smart TV with apps - I was wrong. If you park your vehicle they charge $28/night.

Charito S.

Yelp
Lunching at JP - I probably should have checked the lunch menu before making rez. I ordered gnocchi and added a side of salmon for protein. Lunch buddy had a burger. Ms Celeste is a wonderful hostess.

Olivia M.

Yelp
Good hotel ! Overall clean and comfy beds! Shower was really good ! Downside is $35 per night parking for self and valet , if it appeases you to park elsewhere do it . We were met with dogs on our floor which was not pleasant because it barked all day and night. Other guests reported. It's in a great location however but for the price point rooms can be a little cleaner as I found dust on headboard and night stand . There are other hotels in the area that is much cheaper but for the experience of downtown this is a good hotel .

Jenn M.

Yelp
SMH, this review is from 2/2019. I stayed here during NBA Allstar break for a few days, and it was a very convenient hotel close to where the games were and walking distance to a lot which was good. Checkin was easy didn't take long and overall a nice hotel as to be expected for a Westin

Annette B.

Yelp
I stayed here for a conference and absolutely loved my time here. My room was very clean and comfortable and it was easy to get to the conference venue and other attractions in the area. Loved that there was a Starbucks in the hotel, too!

Stan S.

Yelp
I attended a one day training for work here and lost my keys - two hours from home. Michael and Nasha, who work in security, came with me to help retrace all of my steps and offer assistance. Ultimately we didn't find them while I was there and I had to get a ride home, but they took all my info and promised to call if they were found. About halfway home, I got a call from Nasha letting me know they had found my keys and would hold on to them and monitor my car so nothing would happen to it until I came back. So while I can't say much about what it's like to stay there, I'm unbelievably grateful to the security crew. They made what should have been a VERY stressful event much less so. I docked one star because to leave my car overnight (30ish hours) cost $53, and I feel like that's incredibly steep for one night of parking, especially because there were SO many spots available. But that doesn't reflect the service- only the price point. It is an upscale hotel, after all.

Jackelyn P.

Yelp
I had a great stay at the Westin. The rooms were clean and everything went smoothly. My only feedback would be that the room service was not great. I ordered a pizza. It was almost $30 and arrived late and cold. But if you are not planning on eating in, the hotel was just fine.

Lamont J.

Yelp
Great stay for my first stay here!!! Everyone from the beginning to the end was great!!! For my first time staying at a Westin I definitely will be back. Clean and politeness goes a long way

John C.

Yelp
Stayed here two nights while in Charlotte for the Football ACC Championship Game. Check-in went well; quickly with casual/friendly banter with the desk agent. Room was comfortable and I especially appreciated the large bathroom and the big shower with the rainfall shower head. However, I slept terribly both nights. The bedding wasn't my cup of team. Not the thread count but just the lack of a blanket. It just felt like they had stacked four top sheets together and called that a blanket. I needed something heavier to get to sleep. Ultimately I left really early on Sunday morning because I know I wasn't going to be able to sleep well. The lobby bar was very busy on Friday night and the service was slow. I know many places are understaffed so I know this may be out of their control for now. The lobby and hotel are pretty on the whole. Parking was easy.

Sheri R.

Yelp
My stay here was top notch. From the front desk staff to the lovely room to the tapas restaurant on the 10th floor.

Lawrence L.

Yelp
Great rooms and amenities! Wonderful location near lots of things in Uptown! Would definitely stay here again!

Anthony T.

Yelp
Great service with good friendly staff. Very clean hotel with some good food in the bar and restaurant.

Shuchi S.

Yelp
An incredible hotel staffed with happy and helpful staff! Was in town for a wedding and could not have been more pleased with my experience. The rooms were clean and well stocked and staff was very responsive to asking for extra toiletries. The ballrooms were amazing and the wedding was put together perfectly! I can not thank the staff enough for welcoming me and my friends with such grace - you really were the cherry on the top to a weekend filled with celebrating love :)

Alex P.

Yelp
Depressing yet comfortable, bland but welcoming, dated yet relevant. There are places that provoke emotions, and there are places that simply give a good night's sleep. The Westin, is without doubt, the latter, as the only emotions to be provoked would correspond with mediocrity, loneliness and blandness. In other words, it's a pretty typical Westin. In a contrast to this everpresent sadness in design, there is an element of Art Deco style of provoking emotion. It is the glass finished, eighteen wheeler sized chandelier as the focus point in the lobby. It feels grand, light, and thought provoking. In the continuation of this industrial inspiration, initially introduced to us by the chandelier, people working the checkin counter are focused on efficiency, cranking out guest checking rapidly and ensuring that the bankers coming back from long days of work have no complaints and proceed to their rooms momentarily. It's a smooth running operation. Despite being an Ambassador guest with Marriott, there was no noticeable upgrade. The room design is contemporary, with some dated areas such as the bathroom with a 90s style bathtub, aging wallpaper and is of average size. However, it is comfortable. The bedding has feather pillows expected at a Westin, an oil next to the bed to help one fall asleep and a great view of downtown Charlotte. It's far from being a spa feel that Westin has attempted to project, but it is comfortable. It is of little doubt, that this comfort, along with the efficiency of service, the core reason that many business travelers pick this hotel. Good sleep is important and this is where Westin excels. Life is a choice, filled with an abundance of micro selections that result in decisions and outcomes. If the preference is to have efficient service and a comfortable night's sleep, Westin is the place. If the preference is to have a character of the place in a hotel, probably best to go elsewhere. This a comfortable, dated, yet generally descent Westin that sits in the average area of life.

Cameron C.

Yelp
Nicest staff!! Stayed here a couple weeks ago for a business trip. The hotel staff couldn't have been any kinder, especially Jackie B. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is also located in a great location. Had an amazing stay and will be back!

Ritesh S.

Yelp
Was here for a work conference and found the accommodations great! Located in downtown Charlotte - it's close to many museums, the Epicentre, and the NASCAR Hall of Fame is literally a block away! The rooms were spacious, decent lighting, clean, and I liked the view my room had, especially with the great weather the city was experiencing. The bathrooms were also clean and came equipped with that touch of "extra" with robes and slippers for lounging, a sewing kit, and a few other things you don't think of but handy to have. There's an indoor pool and fitness center as well as ballrooms for conferences and large scale events. The attendants at the lobby were great at taking care of any questions I had and also helped guide on what would be worth the while to check out while in town for the evening. There's great places to eat nearby as well as a full bar/ restaurant within the hotel. There's a also a coffee bar that serves Starbucks. I do wish the bell hops were more attentive, but overall not a huge deal if coming in just for a weekend with minimal luggage. Overall - solid option if in Charlotte. Also since now that all the SPG brands are under the Marriott umbrella - you can take advantage of upgrades in case you were previously a Marriott rewards member - hollaaaaa.

Mark R.

Yelp
Would not recommend staying at the Westin Charlotte. On my recent stay, I asked for directions to local shopping. After employee glared at me they said there wasn't a Target of Walmart locally. Very rude and condescending. There was a party in the room next to me. Security at this hotel doesn't actually patrol the hotel. If they did, they would have found the party before I called to complain at 1AM. In the morning, I carried my luggage down to the car. I returned to the room (before I checked out) to use the restroom. Housekeeping was already in the room. I was told to use the restroom in the lobby. Again, I had not checked out yet. This hotel does not live up to the Westin name. There are several nice hotels within a few blocks, keep looking.

Ray-Ray M.

Yelp
Do not book!! Even if you have a emergency they refuse to refund. Furthermore, management has no decorum, is uneducated, unprofessional, condescending and are sexist. I emailed Director Sean Johnson and called several times. He failed to respond to me. It was not until I contacted their Consumer Affairs that he then responded and inappropriately addressed me. He refused to apologize and the General Manager Geoffrey Cousineau refused to address the situation and reprimand Sean Johnson.

Marney R.

Yelp
Exceptional customer service!!! I just stayed at this property for a business meeting and it was one of those "in and out" trips. The property is spotless and well maintained, and I hear there was a recent room aesthetic upgrade and it shows. I hit the lobby bar during the "no food witching hour" where lunch had shut down and dinner service hadn't started. Flying all day and being on work calls, and having 2 hours before my work dinner, I needed something healthy and quick. The bartender Tara Jo, F&B Director (Jason) and another manager (I didn't catch his name) went ABOVE and beyond to find a solution and were amazing! Customer service like this isn't very common these days and I wanted to make sure to leave a review thanking them!

Joey F.

Yelp
Very clean and nice rooms, overnight parking is a bit steep at $35 but that's what happens when you stay in the city, enjoyed my stay and view from 22nd floor

Haley W.

Yelp
Stayed here twice, once for a conference and once with the family. Both times were very nice. Only wish the coffee shop in the lobby was open longer, but I'm sure it's due to staffing. Convenient to many downtown attractions, and easy walking around downtown.

Cathy M.

Yelp
I would highly recommend the Westin Hotel. After being let down by anther hotel, I worked with the Westin Hotel to host a large conference for a work event, with many folks coming out of town. Everything went really smooth and management were very professional, I have to mention the staff, they were very courteous, and were a big help in getting setup and prepared. Thank you.

Kristene F.

Yelp
My husband and I came in on the red eye from LAX and were exhausted by the time we reached the hotel. Jessica at the front desk was very accommodating to us, and her customer service was perfect. As the first person we came in contact with at the hotel, our first impression was excellent. Dominic and Treyvon were also excellent managers to speak with; very kind and hospitable. We felt our entire experience was next level customer service. We will be travelling to NC several times over the next few months and because of our experience with Jessica, Treyvon, and Dominic, we will only be choosing the Westin Charlotte to stay at. Thank you for making our stay with you a great one.

Nancy H.

Yelp
Definitely better than the Sheraton across downtown. The Westin has that nice hotel smell, bright lighting, and spacious bathroom. The front desk was efficient and depending on who you get can be a hit or miss. Plush bedding, clean sheets ( which you can tell from all the crisp folds), the pillows are very feathery, and you can tell the carpets been vacuumed. The bathroom is spacious with a large vanity and a rainfall shower head. Toiletries include: shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, and even a nice lavender roller ball for when you go to sleep. Free bottle water if you're an SPG member. The room offers a luggage stand, fridge, desk, and a decent TV. This place is often booked and can get pricey if you don't book early enough!

Renee C.

Yelp
I would love to recommend this hotel, but I cannot. BEWARE CREDIT CARD FRAUD! Booked with them for 2 nights of which they charged my card. On the day I checked out, the fraudulently charged over $200 for a "No Show". I have tried on numerous occasions to get them to have someone from accounting to contact me and all they do is take my information and say they will get back to me and have not. Disputed charge and no resolution. Hey, admin; contact me to resolve. I will continue to post until it is.

Denise L.

Yelp
Great hotel, enjoyed my 2 day stay here. Loved the roomy bathroom and shower/bath combo. Bed was really comfortable, and workers were friendly for the most part. I also love the touch of having a lavender scent to sleep even better!

Adrienne G.

Yelp
Room was nice enough but there was no WiFi in the room, at all, throughout my whole stay I'd brought my hot post so it made no difference to me but I would have been in a serious world of hurt if I had not brought it with me Other than that, the room was quiet, the beds were comfy. The water pressure was great. I'd stay here again if my go-to Hotel was booked (like it was for this visit) but would need to make sure to be prepared for no WiFi

Jay G.

Yelp
Front Desk was awful during my stay. They were unhelpful at all times with the exception of the gentleman that checked us in. After that. They were ill equipped to answer my basic questions. I wanted to settle a room service charge the night prior to check out and the woman told me that she couldn't do it. Only at check out. I've worked for Hilton and Marriott and I know that is a lie. She's just lazy. This same front desk person was lazy the entire time of my stay. She was bothered by all questions. She was extremely unhelpful to my colleague as well. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Stayed here for a conference. Otherwise, I wouldn't book this hotel.

Yelp
Second time staying here, consistently good service from a very nice staff. It's in a perfect location across from the convention center and close to various museums and great restaurants. Not much of a view from my room but nice city views from the other side. Concerns: I could hear the elevator whirring all night but rooms a little farther out are likely fine. Pillows were not to great, just ok. Surprising for a Westin Also I think the bed might have had mites as I kept waking up with little itchy spots on my legs, some congestion and sore throat that went away once I left the room. Still a nice place I would come to again. I'd just bring my disinfectant spray for the bed next time.

Yelp
I attended an event at the Westin it was my first time there for the Hope for Community Health Luncheon. The food was great, the servers were very attentive, accommodating & quick, I was very impressed with their performance. I will recommend this place for any company that is looking to have a conference or any event high quality service. The lighting was ok, too dark for my taste but other than everything else was excellent.

Yelp
Very charming and sweet location. We had a fantastic view from our hotel suite. There is a convenient Starbucks with the grab and go breakfast by the lobby. There's a in-house restaurant that's frequented by most patrons. Served as a great workplace retreat meeting zone for our company. It's walkable for most things downtown and their a light rail station right by the entrance. Located beautifully in the heart of Charlotte.

Yelp
Very accommodating. We had a great corner room at a great price and a great view. Loved the full size bath necessities - shampoo, etc.

Yelp
There's a $2 charge if you call the front desk when you're staying there. Can you believe that? They also don't disclose it ANYWHERE. Wild. I was also woken up in the morning by the hotel staff knocking several times. When I finally got to the door they looked surprised saying they were just checking how many vacant rooms they have. It's not even close to check out time.

Yelp
Awful. Do not stay here. The staff has no clue what they are doing. I did self parking which said it was $35 then when leaving we were charged $52. I spoke to the manager and they said there's nothing they can do about it. I was never told "not to pay the parking fee" they had me running around in the cold trying to track down the parking attendants and nothing was successful. The room was not cleaned when we arrived there was a dirty coffee filter in a rag on the toilet. The toilet paper was not new. The beds didn't even have actual blankets they were sheets. DO NOT STAY HERE! Awful

Yelp
Room was fine, but service was indifferent. Valet parking - attendants were engrossed in their phones. Bellmen we're around but they nor valets ever offered help. My wife and I , both over 70, did before ourselves. There was no written information in the room re restaurants, gym or anything else. The usual part of the TV/Hotel menu system was "under construction." Really? It was like, "Here's your room, now don't bother us anymore."

Yelp
I stayed at the Westin during my recent trip to Charlotte; having stayed at other hotels in downtown in the past and coming away unimpressed, I was hoping that this might be a different experience. In short - the answer is no. The service, on balance was pretty good, with checking in and out done very quickly, and the waitress working the night shift at the bar (which also doubles as the restaurant, as the regular restaurant space is not open for dinner during the pandemic) was exceedingly pleasant. That said, the decor of the lobby is dated (as are the elevators), and true to form, the Westin rooms 'look' modern but definitely feel like the renovations were done on the cheap. The limited dining service was a pain, as I did not care much to venture out for food. The gym, with two (I believe) Peloton bikes and a decent amount of weights and machines, is something that is tolerable for getting one's sweat going. Given that business takes me to Charlotte at least a couple times a year these days, I will undoubtedly be back in town again. While I wouldn't say no to staying at the Westin again, I will probably try my luck at picking another '4-star' hotel in the downtown region and seeing how it goes at another spot next time.

Yelp
Nice, modern hotel in Uptown Charlotte. I was there for a conference at the convention center, and it's very convenient (right across the street!). I was only there for one night, so not a whole lot to say. I had a corner room, which did have a decent view of part of Bank of America stadium. The room and bed were comfortable enough, and all the hotel staff was friendly during check-in, check-out, and when I stored my luggage between check-out and departing for the airport. I didn't get to try any of the restaurants on-site, but they looked like good food options. Westin seems to have a lot of bonuses, like being able to rent running gear during your stay (not sure how they keep the shoes clean/disinfected, but it's a nice touch). My one complaint is that the rooms aren't very soundproof, as I could hear not only doors being closed out in the hallway but footsteps of people in the room above me. Also, they're doing construction in the lot across the street, so there was some banging and beeping happening a little on the early side. But, that's hopefully temporary. Overall, nothing fancy, but if you're just looking for a good modern hotel option, this would fit the bill.
