The Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa, St. Maarten

Despite being far from everything else, this place is top tier in terms of the rooms and service. The rooms are three bedroom houses with everything you can ask for, including walk-in closets in the master bedroom. There isn't anything to do on the property as yet, they're going through some renovations. But there is a restaurant and live band on Sundays.

The resort is under development, which makes buying now super cheaper than waiting to later. I love the room and pool, and I rent a car and hit all the great beaches on the Caribbean sides. The price will triple next year. They rolled out the red carpet for us. Thanks Romeo

Any family will love it. Beautiful rooms, more than adequate parking and the most wonderful view of the bay. There are two large and picturesque pools and well manicured grounds. When the hotel opens back up it will be almost peefect.

Excellent resort absolutely 💯 beautiful! The entire staff is AhhhhhMazing especially all the guys n gals by pool bar. Everyone goes above and beyond! Security is the best. The daily activities are so much fun! Our 3 bedroom unit is very clean and comfortable can't wait to come back!

The entire staff was amazing, they work really hard to give you the best experience. The rooms were always clean and fresh towels daily. Food is delicious and drinks were on point. I would recommend to anyone I know. They’re only 2miles away from the French side where you c an get fresh pastries . The pool and the beach area of the resort was my favorite place to go and just relax. The bartenders/ waiters were super friendly and always makes sure your ok.

Our accommodations are spectacular. Part of the resort still needs to be re-done after suffering hurricane Irma damage (that's the only reason I dont give 5 stars) but don't let that stop you from coming. The pool is outstanding and the staff super friendly. We have a 3 bedroom unit with ocean views. We have grilled out each night here on the premises and enjoyed the pool side bar on several occasions. They have a private beach for you to also enjoy. We rented a car and have been out exploring the island. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

The Westin hotel has been closed since Hurricane Irma. Thankfully, the owner renovated the Dawn Beach Club timeshares first. The timeshares have been upgraded better since Irma and are lovely inside. All 3 bedrooms have king beds. I also own Marriott timeshares and the annual dues are half of what I pay for my Maui one. The staff is amazing and we were well taken care of following Irma, not losing any of our weeks. As with any timeshares, owners have priority in room location. I don’t even get put in building A as an owner. I actually prefer building D as it’s quieter and has a better view. It is a timeshare, so expect to be hit up for a tour. Just say no. It is on the Atlantic side, so it tends to have more surf. It’s our favorite place to be. UPDATE: The. Hotel is currently being renovated and will become a JW Marriott. Please note that this location was initially titled The Westin Dawn Beach Club Resort And Spa and is not to be confused with The Dawn Beach Club timeshares (which most of the comments reference to). The timeshares have nothing to do with Marriott Vacation Club and their timeshares.

GORGEOUS ROOM and view of the active ocean!! Can catch the sunrise right from our balcony, room 6205. Sheila was PHENOMENAL! She went above and beyond and providing most amazing customer service, she always looks so nice too! She has recommendations and answers all of our questions with class. The front gate, security staff are great, you feel welcomed and like family with them, they're always smiling and ready to assist. Housekeeping was great, they kept our place cleaned, replaced towels, they also scheduled cleaning day to keep social distancing practices. By the pool bar, Jean Claude, Rodney, Richard are so awesome, they always serve us with smiles, great drinks, the grilled shrimp was a good dish to have poolside. So thankful for such friendly and amazing staff, we will be back! The pool, beach areas look great! There is still damage from the storm but some parts have already been renovated. This is a gem!!! Theres a steep hill to drive over before entering resort, otherwise, you won't regret staying here with ocean view rooms and clean property. Happy hour on Sunday and Wednesdays I believe.
