"A Very Happy Aperitivo in Florence If a stay at The Westin Excelsior in Florence may not be in your budget, but the aperitivo menu may be. Stop by their posh bar and for 12 Euros get the house wine and all sorts of goodies—a cheese plate, a meat plate, flat bread, and samples of peppers and olives. The menu is titled "Happy Moments" and, at the time I visited, from 7 to 9 in the evening. The attentive service and elegant bar made it a very happy moment, indeed."

We had a wonderful 7 day stay. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Our Marriott Titanium status was valued and we were fortunate to receive a nice upgrade since there were rooms available as well as breakfast. |The breakfast was one of the best I have had and included an omelette/egg station as well as juices, breads, pastries, cheese, yogurt. etc. |The staff were very friendly and helpful and passionate about their jobs. |The view from the top floor bar/restaurant was impressive. Our first day we went up just to get the view and one of the staff pointed out the various landmarks in the city.|The location worked out very well and we enjoyed the walk to various restaurants and attractions. If needed, there was always a taxi waiting out front.|The fitness center was open 24 hours which was appreciated.

Leonardo Concierge provided an exceptional service that truly made our evening special. He personally accompanied us to the Cosimo Restaurant on the rooftop and helped us choose a beautiful, romantic table for dinner, perfect for my wife and me.|Throughout the experience, Leonardo was extremely professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. His attention to detail and warm attitude made us feel very well taken care of, not just for the dinner but also for other services he assisted us with.|Thanks to him, the evening was seamless, relaxing, and unforgettable.

It’s a great hotel. Of course we were upgraded ($$$) to one of the riverfront balcony penthouses , which are fit for a king. There is not a better room in Florence, if that’s what you seeking. A highlight of the hotel is location, the rooftop bar and restaurant are unique and beautiful. we were shown the other king rooms and they were nice. Service and all respects in the hotel is extremely professional and friendly. The lobby is beautiful and relaxing. The location is wonderful. The food is average, nothing better than that. Highly recommended Hotel.

The Excelsior Luxury Collection Hotel is the perfect Hotel you can find and stay in Florence, Italy. It is also has a perfect overlooking view by the river. I would like to highlight my review to thank Beatrice for giving us this breathtaking view, as well as Nicko (don’t remember his name but he has a trainee badge, young guy, polite and very professional) who escorted us to our room and explained all the facilities, amenities in the Hotel. And also, would like to thank Virginia, because she found out the it was me and my wife’s 27th Anniversary. That day, we received a very nice bottled of Sparkling Wine. Much appreciated VirginiaThank you so much for the thoughtful gift of sparkling wine. Enjoying it while admiring the stunning view made the experience even more special. We truly appreciate your generosity!

Our stay in Florence was truly unforgettable, largely thanks to Constanza at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with warmth and grace that instantly made us feel at home. Constanza’s attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine kindness stood out every single day. She anticipated our needs before we even asked and handled everything with such care and compassion—it’s rare to meet someone who makes hospitality feel so personal and sincere. We also want to thank Manager Petra, whose thoughtful leadership and empathy made our experience even more special, and the tall gentleman at the concierge desk, who provided excellent recommendations and gracious assistance throughout our stay. The hotel’s location is simply the best—right in the heart of Florence, just steps away from the city’s most beautiful landmarks. The combination of outstanding service, comfort, and location made this one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

This property was outstanding. It overlooks the Arno on one side and the Florence city center on the other. It is conveniently located. The rooms were new and fashionable. However, the best part of this hotel was its staff. They were very friendly and helpful. They continually brought surprises to our room. Costanza at reception deserves special mention (forgive me if I am a bit off on the name). She went out of her way to help us. She was exceedingly friendly but in genuine way. She is truly one of the reason our stay was so wonderful.

We were treated with such professionalism and kindness our entire stay. A lovely young woman (maybe Hannah - she had a cute infant son who we met one night) checked us in and upgraded us automatically. She personally accompanied us to our room which had a bottle of wine and welcome note. The balcony is so lovely for watching the sunset. And I can not recommend the upstairs bar enough - breathtaking views. The concierge Beatrice emailed us before our arrival. I asked her about massage options and she arranged our appointments at the St. Regis which was perfect. The library lobby was comfortable and great for relaxing. The breakfast buffet was a great start to the day. A perfect stay!

The Excelsior|Fabulous staff, very attentive and responsive to needs. |We stayed in a corner room with windows that opened to small balconies overlooking the river. Each evening, we enjoyed the beautiful sunset as we stood on the balcony. |The ceilings are so high in the room that it makes it feel even more spacious. The closet has multiple hangers as well as a shoe brush, shoe horn and cleaning cloth. The bathroom offers very nice Italian bath products as well as items one may have left at home: Q-tips, emery board, shower caps. The bathroom even has a bidet. The bed is so very very comfortable. The room has multiple areas of storage with furnishings that are both beautiful and functional with drawers. I really can’t speak enough of how beautiful and comfortable the room and the hotel are!|We ate dinner at the rooftop restaurant the first night we arrived, and everything was beyond delicious! Even the bread service with the homemade focaccia, unbelievably beautiful fresh tomatoes, and mozzarella was so good. I had the spaghetti with clams, and my husband enjoyed the lobster pasta. We also had the fabulously delicious Eleanora cocktail. The view is unbelievable from this vantage point. Another evening, we went to the rooftop just to enjoy a cocktail and the view. |A special recognition to:|-Naomi, front desk manager, for fabulous customer service and follow up. Naomi, Ed and I did enjoy different types of lasagna in Bologna! |-Emanuele, creator of The Eleanora, our favorite drink at the upstairs bar, who was a joy to speak with and who offered great customer service|-Massimo, head concierge, we first met upon arrival and who was such a great representative of the brand. Massimo, I have attached a picture of our time in the Dolomites!|-Stefano, one of the fabulous front desk and concierge representatives, escorted us to our room and told us all about the hotel. He would greet us warmly every time we saw him afterward.|Ed and I hope to return soon to this fabulous place!
