The Westin Guangzhou

Excellent service and comfortable room. Staff helped me with a few items including sending some sports equipment to HK. Breakfast was very nice. It was only missing smoked salmon and bagels. Good variety of local and Western food at breakfast buffet. Only minor issue was another guest smoking on my guest floor and the air conditioner seemed to get warm overnight in spite of the low settings. Other issues such as no top sheet on the bed and a damaged door latch were quickly taken care of. The room was comfortable and it was great for a short stay. I would definitely stay here again but smoking guest should have been penalized or fined a cleaning fee after I first reported it to the front desk.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at The Westin Guangzhou hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. The service was outstanding, and every request was met with a smile. The food was exceptional—delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. We looked forward to every meal! Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, adding to the overall fantastic experience. Without a doubt, we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay. We can’t wait to return!

My friends and I made reservations directly via Marriott Bonvoy app. separately. Upon check-in, we need to charge for deposit. My booking for a Kjng room for 2 persons for 1 night. Room rate was around CNY754, our deposit was charged CNY1500 (But my friends were charged less than me! Why🤔). After checked-in, the booking record shown in app was changed incorrect (it stated as triple room and with extra person cost) Why🤔. Having clarified, I was told it’s the system error. |As my booking was a King bed for 2 persons, the turndown service was made on one side only! Why🤔 (& with 1 Vitasoy drink, thus not sure if this was offered by hotel or left by housekeeper😅)|Room is a bit old. Anyway, it’s spacious and clean. But we may consider to stay at other hotel next time.

I like the hotel location is in the CBD area, traffic at Guanzhou is busy which is better to travel by MTR to save time especially for business. Hotel is just next to the Linhezhong station easy to access to all places by MTR. The train can go to Baiyun airport which better than car. For dinning, the shopping mall has many restaurants to choose so no problem to find food There are also fast-food chain store in the area so at night for supper is not prolem. Will come back to this hotel again. Since we check in late at night and hte next day my flight is at night, hotel allow for late check up at 3pm. This is very helpful for us so that we don't need to rush for noon check up.

Nice place.I was upgraded to Executive Suite. The room is spacious with very nice view bath tub. Breakfast is awsome with many choices, good taste. The only concern is that the smell is not good- smoking smell although it is smoke prohibited, and no washlet. Staff does not speak English very well. Location is very center, easy to access to shoppings, restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Great rooms, good services and nice ambiance. Be prepared to pay deposit that will be sent back when you check out. The location is great and very central. Minutes walking to Guangzhou east railway. Will definitely come again in future

Stayed there for 8 nights during the canton fair. |The hotel was a bit old. But clean rooms and very spacious. The location is great because its just next to station. Free shuttle bus to the fair. |Starting from morning. And back from afternoon. |I was shocked once I arrived. |The reception staff asked me for 1,000 RMB deposit per night! And honestly I reject that. |So they want to hold 8,000 RMB + room fees. |I asked the lady please check my bonvoy profile before you asking for that. I gave them only 2,000 RMB for deposit. Because I paid in two different cards. Alipay didn't work once I arrived. |Later on I ask for laundry. Next day I found a letter from management. We will not send you your clothing before you pay. Your guarantee is not enough!! I went to reception and asked them. I have a deposit why that letter. |And they try to say sorry its the system etc...|I will never stay there again.

We picked Westin over Marriott as the first is cheaper under the Marriott Bonvoy group. But in terms of location, the latter is better and situated just next to a popular mall and shopping street. ||Westin room is very spacious at 50sqm, very comfortable beddings and clean. Our room doesn’t come with bf as we wanted to have dim sum at local restaurants. Club lounge access is at additional of rmb300/pax/night even for MB members. ||Most international 5 star hotels would provide a nespresso coffee maker in the room, but this one only has a kettle , tea bags and 3 in 1 coffee. Fortunately Luckin is just at next office building. The TV is also very small and old relative to the room. ||Concierge is very helpful and offered many good suggestions of walkable yet quality restaurants, shopping and massage. Not touristy, nothing much in the vicinity and need to didi to get around.||Overall served our purpose and a very comfortable stay.
