My family's stay here was the best 4-star hotel stay experience we've had, by far. Well kept, very clean rooms. Nice pool area and family game room with some classic arcade games. Great location with amazing views, and all within walking distance to many attractions and the harbor. Food here is good too. We especially enjoyed starting our days with the breakfast buffet. We'll definitely be staying here again the next time we're in the area!

It appears rooms are currently under renovation as half of our hallway was shut off. However we never heard anything. Rooms were clean. We had a balcony overlooking the water which was nice. There is a dedicated bike path by hotel which was awesome. Walking distance to everything. Right next to the boats that take you to The Islands. Staff were great!

The hotel is beautiful and so clean. The view is wonderful. The location is excellent. The staff are very nice and friendly. The only problem is that the Ac unit was not working,Thank you They sent someone to fix it immediately. However, during the night it stopped working again. It was annoying. We liked it so much and we would like to try it again in the future.

The most expensive motel we have stayed at. Rooms like in an average motel. One robe for two people, cheap shampoo, dirty mirrors, no proper amenities, no BREAKFAST. Valet parking only. Everything is outsourced. The worst part was being woken up at 1am as we could hear everything from the next room - we shared a suite door and it felt like they were literally in our room. No sound isolation. The fan was incredibly loud and elsewhere in the hotel it was very hot. Might’ve been a nice hotel a few decades ago but certainly isn’t anymore. I’m sure one can find much better options for the same price.

Stayed her to attend a conference in Sept 2024 and had a good experience. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. There was a complimentary lavender essential oil that you could roll on before going to sleep. I loved the smell of the white tea toiletries. The staff members were very friendly throughout the stay and at the conference hall. Drinks at the lobby bar were great and I enjoyed the cocktails. The location is also convenient with shops close by and tourist attractions (e.g. Ripley's Aquarium). Overall I'd stay here if I visited downtown Toronto again.

I found Western Harbour Hotel to be a pleasant stay overall. The service is courteous and the ambience welcoming. However, the rooms and washrooms are just average, and the lack of proper air conditioning was noticeable. Also, parking is not included in the stay, which is inconvenient. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel maintains a good standard in hospitality and provides a comfortable enough experience for short stays. A decent option with room for improvement.

From the moment we arrived, we could sense the romance. The brass elevator doors reflected our faces like two lovers in a vintage postcard slightly distorted, slightly tragic. Outside, the brightest city in Canada glittered. Inside, we decided to say goodbye to love and passion the way only people being forcibly removed from a country can: with room service and a complimentary robe. The carpets were so clean my wife lay down on them, eyes closed, whispering something about “preparing for Africa.” I suggested she upgrade her simulation and sleep in the bathtub porcelain being the more universal experience. She agreed. Breakfast was exquisite. We devoured salmon until the staff looked concerned. Each bite took me back to my fishing days in Senegal, except in Senegal there were no $35 buffet charges hidden inside the concept of “complimentary.” The staff were impeccable gentle smiles, soft voices the polar opposite of immigration officers, who wear the same expressions as people trying to solve a Sudoku puzzle with a hangover. We left the next morning, not for Canada’s promise (which had been quite successful while it lasted), but for The Westin itself the hotel I never truly got to finish.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at this hotel. Despite presenting itself as a premium establishment, basic amenities like breakfast are not included, which is unacceptable at this price point. Their heavy promotion of the gym and swimming pool is misleading. During my stay, the gym was closed in the early mornings, making it unusable. The "connected rooms" are another issue. For guests not using this feature, the door between rooms allows noise to travel easily, disrupting privacy and rest. This hotel fails to deliver on both value and comfort. I do not recommend it.

Yelp
I recently attended an event at the Westin Harbour Castle, and while the venue itself is stunning, there are a couple of areas that could use improvement. Firstly, I found the lack of clear signage made it a bit challenging to navigate the space - additional signs or directions would make it much easier for guests to find their way around. Secondly, my experience with the staff near the entrance was disappointing. There were two staff members present who were unhelpful and came across as rude, which left a negative impression. I hope the management addresses these issues.

Yelp
My partner and I were passing through Toronto for the weekend and decided to stay at the Westin Harbour Castle. It was a fun location right on the water, and we had a great view from our room. Although the rooms are somewhat dated and in need of renovation, it wasn't a bad spot overall. I used the gym and sauna, which were excellent facilities. The location was convenient for both reaching the hotel and exploring the city. While I'm not sure if we would choose the same hotel for our next visit, we overall had a pleasant experience.

Yelp
Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Toronto. The rooms are spacious and come with microwave and refrigerators which is a plus. Fitness area and indoor pools look top knotch. We tried the hotel restaurant which was amazingly delicious. The chicken wings were tasty and you get a lot. Salmon and burger was cooked to perfection.

Yelp
Super fast service, right in the lobby of the Westin Harbour Castle. Very good prices compared to area restaurants. Specials by chef-market prices. I was looking for a place and saw the menu offered lots of choices. Appetizers, main entrees, desserts, beers, liquor, mixed drinks. All right here and convenient. I was surprised by the stout local craft beer Cowbell. Looks like at least 6 types on draft. Game day combos too!

Yelp
How is there a Westin that doesn't use the Westin heavenly bed? It very clearly says on the mattress beautyrest. It's a standard firm mattress with no pillow top. The heavenly bed was the-only reason I booked this hotel because I know this place is out of date. It's got 1980s brown carpet. The bed was the only thing I stayed here for, which would be a vast improvement versus Marriott properties switch to these hard as hell mattresses that screw my back up. Massively over priced and out of date hotel.

Yelp
Don't waste your money on a lake view room. Deceptive advertising practices and lack of empathy will leave you frustrated and angry. Apparently, a view of the industrial area and half the shoreline of Toronto is considered a lake view by Marriott/Westin standards. I paid extra to get a hotel near the lake and even more extra to have a view of that lake. The room should have been advertised as a partial view but wasn't. Fraudulent.

Yelp
I wish I could give this hotel 10 stars for the amazing experience we had from the pull in to the valet until we waved goodbye. The valet's were wonderful. We travel with 2 dogs and they understood how difficult it would be to juggle them and get our luggage up to the room. They took care of the luggage so we could deal with the dogs. The check in went easy and we were up in the room on no time. The Westin is located conveniently downtown and by the harbor. Our room had an incredible view. We were able to take off on foot and explore the city. After a day of exploring we came back to the room and outside the door was a care package with chocolates, macarons, berries and sparkling water. Such a nice touch! Since we have the dogs, housekeeping didn't come in but when we came back on day two, housekeeping made a point to deliver towels without us having to request them. The breakfast, which was comped because of our Marriott level, was the best buffet that we've had to date. They made custom omelets. The breakfast bar was stocked with cold pressed juice, overnight oats, a variety of fresh cut fruit, meats, cheeses, pastries...I could go on and on. The service at the table was 5 star both days. Now, if you read this review thinking, we'll they were treated differently because of their reward points status, think again. We have been to Hyatt and Hilton, also at their highest levels and not treated the way we were treated here. The Hilton we went to wanted $14 for a basic hotel fare breakfast and weren't friendly in the least. It's about the culture of customer service and the Westin got it right, above and beyond expectations! We wouldn't stay anywhere else while in Toronto. Marriott needs to recognize this staff for the excellent job they do to ensure their guests remain Marriott loyal while traveling.

Yelp
In dire need to a refresh and remodel. Friendly staff and good housekeeping with a convenient location carry the two star rating but everything else the Westin Harbor Castle is serviceable at best. Definitely not reflective of the brand standards that have become synonymous with the Westin name.

Yelp
I stayed here for two nights. I wish they had room house keeping service (June 2022). Not sure if it is due to the pandemic and they got rid of it. Anyways, I got a standard king size room looking out to the water. It had a beautiful view. Only issue is that the window was very dirty on the outside. The room inside was clean. It was small but that is probably because it is in Toronto downtown. This hotel is quite big but as mentioned before the rooms are small. That doesn't bother me. The washroom is a very good size. You do get a free bottle of water just for staying here. I liked how they have the shampoo, conditioner and body wash squirt bottles on the wall. I can use little or a lot as needed. Overall the bed was comfy and the stay was nice.

Yelp
All in all nice location to stay in Toronto and to have a major society meeting. My room had a beautiful view over the mini harbor, otherwise pretty much standard. Not at last in light of significant rain, it was good to know that there were several opportunities under the same roof. A reception provided numerous all to delicious little bites from sliders to vegetables dips, to ...

Yelp
I've been staying at this hotel since our convention function was relocated to this hotel in 2017, I basically don't have a choice but to stay here every year due to its proximity to the conference. -Beds are probably the worst I've ever slept in. We book the same room every year for the space (Corner King Room) and the sleep is equally as awful. -The one year we booked a room their system double booked our room so the entire process of signing in was a nightmare, we got to the hotel to check in and was told 'there's someone in your room, you cant have that room'. Manager had to step in, gave us a lesser room, and comp'd parking but that was it's own contained catastrophe which included a lot of running around between front staff and valet because no one was informed on anything. The worst experience by far (2023) -Their south tower, or whatever, has been under construction for the second year in a row and now they are offloading the costs to patrons and the hotel is honestly not the nicest compared to Novotel down the street and other competitors. - When we did stay in the presidential suite the thing was basically falling apart, tiles coming off the floor, mold, stripped wallpaper, dirty couch (Trudeau suite, 2020) They are price gouging like crazy, take your money elsewhere. When we first attended corner king was 350 a night, they've hiked up the prices to 670 or something real close to that.

Yelp
Not impressed. Understaffed.. restaurant in hall took forever to get food and I could've cracked someone's head open with the rolls they served. Same at a banquet I went to there. Is a fresh rolls too hard to ask for ! I expect more from a Westin.

Yelp
Stayed a night here as we were in town for a show at the Princess of Whales Theatre. Also happened to be NHL All-Star weekend at Scotiabank Arena! Hotel was great, even with increased event experiences at the hotel. Staff were all lovely to interact with. Recent beautiful renovations to the guest rooms and we had a lovely view of the bay! Bed was extremely comfortable! Shower layout is excellent and really enjoyed the scent and quality of the shampoo/soap. Hotel is in a great location. I would recommend The Westin Harbour Castle to anyone looking for an upscale place to stay and will look here first for any future trips to Toronto.

Yelp
Related to the Chatroom Bar only, the customer service experience was not good - actually I can't genuinely comment because we were never acknowledged let alone sat. Yes it was relatively busy - tables busy, no line up - but the hostess and the manger were too busy either dealing with the business (which I understand) or talking to each other (which I don't) to make eye contact, say something/anything, or actually try to seat a table. For the number of times I've been a client of the westin harbour castle, and that shouldn't matter but somehow it does, their brand as any type of client experience went to 0 pretty quickly. We went down the street to a casual bar/resto and have to say it was 5x better. This is a generous 1 star.

Yelp
Great location on the harbour. Incredible views. Nice indoor pool. All the amenities and quality accommodations you would expect from Westin. Highly recommend.

Natasha P.

Yelp
They have great views but for the price not a great room. Plus they had fire alarms going off at 5:30am. Seems like it was an issue due to construction.

Yelp
We rented 2 rooms on February 29th one was a suite and the other was a regular room. Both rooms were tidy but certainly did not feel clean. The suite especially was in bad need of new carpeting and a total refurbishing. It was tired and certainly did not meet the standards that neither Westin or Marriott are known for. The smaller room was also in need of a proper cleaning and refurbishing. I would never stay at this property again in future.

Yelp
FEMALE TRAVELERS AVOID!!!! I checked in on Wednesday Sept 20, 2023 (it took 25 mins to get checked in, but it was busy). I took my key and went up to my room. I unlocked the door and WALKED IN ON OTHER WOMEN already occupying that room. The hotel had issued me a key to a room already occupied. I was able to walk right in. It was SO SCARY to think how easily that happened. The clerk insisted that 'my system shows the room is available' - well that doesn't make anyone feel better!! They then gave me another room - a downgrade - a lower floor and in the elevator lobby. Then, 30 mins later, my co-worker comes to register for the last of the 5 rooms in our block, and is given a key to a room ALREADY OCCUPIED by our other team member. So, TWICE, this hotel issued keys for a woman's room to someone else. They offered me a free breakfast coupon and then followed with a call to offer a refund on my room. That is great for my company (work travel) but doesn't really make me feel better. No idea if the women I walked in on were compensated. Finally, the room had ZERO outlets. I looked everywhere for someplace to charge my phone at night and only found one in the bathroom and one in the coffee nook. Good luck if you have a laptop you'd like to work on.

Yelp
This is a huge hotel, so lots of people going in and out. The rooms are not good. The room I stayed at was a standard king size room. I paid for it in advance and got a good deal at $177 a night during April. But it was connected to another room, and the walls are really thin so I heard EVERYTHING. A group of drunk girls where yelling and screaming all night. If I didn't have earplugs I would have not slept at all and would have had to ask to change the room and hope that they had another. In addition, it seems that they may have only renovated the room partially. The floors and furniture and wallpaper and lamps are extremely outdated. The only thing that is nice is the granite vanity, the lights in the bathroom (great for putting on makeup) and the full length mirror. The grout in the bathroom is moldy, the fixture for the handle on the bathtub was falling off and a one of the lamps didn't work. Also sucks there is no master light so I had to go to each individual lamp (there are 5) and turn them on and off. When I told the front desk about the broken things she said she can send maintenance. But that's inconvenient to me since I am trying to go to sleep or getting ready. I wouldn't stay at this location again.

Yelp
This hotel is trash , customer service does not exist here even when mistakes are made on their end . My shoes were stolen from out of my room and the place smells like mildew. I would not recommend.

Yelp
Had a stay over at The Westin Harbour Castle (which I reserved via Hotwire) for two nights. It's a bit further from Union Station and the Downtown Core, which is where I inevitably ended up at for the most part, but heyo more steps for my Fitbit haha. I got into Toronto just after 12 and I decided to see if I could check in here. Their front desk service is really nice and it's easy to talk to them. Ended up getting a room in the North Tower (which was newly renovated) with a lake view (which was really nice to look at). Yeah it's really calming to end up with that view. The room itself was enough for one and only complaint was that it was awkward trying to close the bathroom door. Had to walk and get close to the shower to close the door. I enjoyed their white tea+aloe products though and they have plenty of towels. They also have Starbucks and Tazo tea in the room, along with a microwave. The bed itself was really comfy but had way too many pillows haha. Outside, there were two chairs that you could sit at but a word of warning on the door said that during the winter, the outside isn't serviced/cleaned. It was nice looking at the rain at night with the lights in the park below haha. Their fitness center was - at least at night in the South Tower. Go to the 5th floor and walk through the pool area. Walk up a small area and there's a decently size gym area with a lot more machines than I expected would be there. They have a full set of dumbbells and I guess it's called a Smith machine? in the back, along with all the ellipticals and treadmills you could ask for. They have a small room in that small gym area with water + towels. The room did its job; it's just a tad far from everything else and I got used to that walk on Bay way too many times.... There are bus stops along + the streetcar stop as well if you do need to use the TTC. They also have a bridge connector to the convention center which I never ended up using. Give it a try!

Yelp
Had a wonderful stay @ Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable! Was able to sleep and manage temperature in the room without any issues. Water pressure in the shower was good. Love staying @ Westin and especially their White Tea Aloe products. Very spacious lobby area, check in was quick. As one walks into the hotel, smell of white tea aloe is refreshing. Free Wifi and complimentary water for Marriott Bonvoy members. Elevators are quick. In room fridge and safe, ironing board available too. Black out curtains to help you sleep...won't know time of day when the sun rises, which helps you sleep in (unless you are an early bird). Stayed in the both the North Tower with connecting rooms and South Tower. Glad it was easy to book a room with availability due to flight being cancelled and the front desk was able to get us 2 rooms next to each other and on a high floor. Talk about great service! Both rooms had views of the Toronto Star, looking down at the tennis courts and partial view of the harbour. The hotel offer gear for fitness workout as well for a $6 CAD or so for your stay (an option to consider to pack less). Parking is $50 CAD/day. Toula restaurant with 360 view no longer rotates due to a lightning strike (fun fact that I learned that on the harbor tour). Located about 30 minutes from Toronto Pearson Airport - can take the UP Express to Union street and walk about 10 mins or UBER for about $40 CAD or so... Great location by the harbour and easy walk to get to the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Aquarium, Harbour Tour across the street, right next to the island ferry and more. There are a lot of restaurants are within walking distance and supermarket as well. A couple blocks from Union Station and the other rails as well, which is very convenient. Would definitely stay here next time I am back in Toronto.

Yelp
Nice hotel located on Queens Quay. Great location for business travellers. The views from the rooms facing Lake Ontario are amazing. The parking is available only for hotel guests, not for visitors. Lots of parking available close by if you're not staying the night. Many big sized halls available for weddings and office conferences.

Yelp
Booked a room for a one-night stay-cation. This is my second stay-cation here. The first time was about a year ago and I stayed in the king guest room (lake view). The view was meh; it was a smaller window which barely looked onto the water. So this time around, I opted to stay in the corner king studio suite (lake view) (photo attached). The main reason I came back to this hotel was because the staff is wonderful (friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable). Also, the first time I stayed here they had a free coffee/tea station but sadly it was no longer there this time around. Main lobby is very nice. Check-in was 3 PM. There was quite the line-up around this time but overall smooth check-in process. They did check vaccine passports. Although the lobby was busy, there was hand sanitizer stations around the hotel and the elevators weren't too busy. The room wasn't renovated and was a little dated (same as the first time we stayed here) but the corner suite had a nice view of the lake. A few other notable mentions about the room were that some of the outlets were "hanging" off the wall. The bathroom was quite small so each time you opened the bathroom door it would hit the toilet and you could see damage from over time. We called for bathrobes but unfortunately they didn't have any. However, there were some some pros. The location. The TV connects to your Netflix. And the pool was open now as well. We didn't swim but we still checked it out and it seemed pretty sizeable. We opted not to park at the hotel but they did have parking available for $35 dollars. Overall, for me personally, it wasn't worth the price for a stay-cation. It came up to about $375 for the night (I did splurge for the corner room). There was also an extra charge. I'm not sure if it was the Wifi or something else as I was not able to get a hold of the hotel afterwards. Like I mentioned, there are some pros of this hotel and I would recommend staying here if location is important to you.

Denise H.

Yelp
I was turned away from the handicapped entrance today and told the only way to get into the hotel was to climb 30 to 40 steps which was a struggle. The last time I went in my car and learned it would be $55 to park for lunch. I'm shocked big businesses can get away with this.

Yelp
I usually don't like staying at hotels that are located in a remote parts of town but they supposedly are really good hotel. It just was unpleasant the whole entire time staying there! From the check in process to entering/leaving the hotel which was dark most of the time, then every night finding random things on my room door, or room service trays in front of my door which wasn't mine at all, windows where filter, random things in my room were broken, and then the cherry on top was on our final night with a friend, we wanted to have cheese cake on the nice seats in the lobby and it was literally dead empty and pretty late and they wouldn't allow us to sit there because it belong to the cafe but to sit on the crappy high tables looking at the cafe instead. I wouldn't recommend this Westin to anyone, look elsewhere or get an Airbnb.

Yelp
I dont normally shit on hotels, but This place *looks* luxury. Its not. So many things went wrong here. We paid alot. The room didnt have the view that was advertised, and the toilet was leaking all over the floor. It was nasty. Staff was helpful though, they changed our room for us. But neither of our rooms came with the bathrobes, which is supposed to be there. Room was extremely humid and beds were very damp and sticky. The pool wasn't heated (as advertised) and it was actually cold. It was big but still, we paid for a heated pool. We didn't get it. Dinner took 1 hour to get to our room, and it wasn't a luxurious experience at all. We paid about $700 to be here for 2 nights. Wasn't even worth it. Everything here is extremely overpriced too. Although the hotel itself isnt bad, its the lies that we were told when we booked the stay. Its honestly just a average cheap hotel but with a pretty building. Would not reccomend, sorry.

Yelp
Disappointed as to price and quality doesn't match! Other then the view and the breakfast buffet that's worth the three stars. The room was very basic. Bathroom outdated. Lobby so underwhelming, the look of a one star hotel, worn, small, crowded. Visit their rooftop bar, stayed for a drink with the view. The hour that I was there, no other customer except for two ladies diners at one of the table. This hotel really needs an upgrade! Until they do, will not return.

Yelp
Hotel was decent. Check in process was easy if using mobile app. If not, you will have to wait in a very long line. However, parking fills up way before check in and it's a pain getting to the front door in your vehicle. Rooms were pretty clean. However, only got one robe and no slippers. My view was pretty good of the water. Could see the Porter planes coming in to land. Very close to the ACC and in a great location.

Yelp
Falling apart is the first thought that comes in my mind after staying here this past weekend. So this historic and gorgeous hotel that it used to be once upon a time is no longer a great place to stay. If you're a tourist visiting from out of town you might love it's location but here's my few reasons to give it a one star: Room wasn't dusted on my arrival lamps had piles of dust on them.Bathroom wasn't clean either. The curtains are blackout but between the curtain and the window was a huge gap and all night long I saw the light coming in which was painful since I love sleeping in pitch dark.Even all these mediocre inns and express are on top of this. The room had the worst heating i had to push the heating to 85 F to feel comfortable- I did mention it to the front desk while checking out and I won't lie I was hoping for them giving me to give me a discount but they completely overlooked it.I was actually there for an event and came back to the room at 1 am this was something I did notice much earlier but was so tired that thought I would just mention on my way out. They don't have free WIFI hello we're almost in 2020. Ridiculious! The valet took 20 mins to bring out the car. Rooms are so outdated and need a serious facelift.

Yelp
This place is stellar, and I think perfect in location and accommodations for your trip to Toronto. I was impressed with the service - as available I was offered upgrades and to include meals without having to grovel The rooms are well appointed and if you get a lake side view on a higher floor, the view is amazing. There is a very impressive pool and workout facility onsite as well. If I had one pint of contention it would be that the self parking is very limited and inconvenient. That said, valet was reasonably efficient and friendly. It is also close to a major metro stop in the city. Finally, the pricing was very competitive. Overall my experience was excellent. I would not hesitate to book here again for a future visit to the area.

Yelp
Do not let the pictures deceive you, this hotel is by far one of the worst Marriott properties I have stayed in. I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel as I encountered numerous hygienic, cleaning and staff issues. This was our first visit to Toronto as part of an early birthday trip and we are now completely exhausted at our poor experience at this property. Starting from night 1, the hotel room had numerous blood and other stains on the bedding particularly the comforter. The desk, cabinet and furniture tops were not adequately cleaned as there were many fingerprints and dust all over them. When I first requested the comforter to be replaced, the staff only brought bed sheets which were also stained. After I asked for the comforter to be replaced, the staff unapologetically brought a duvet cover and asked us to remove the cover on the existing comforter to replace it ourselves. We did not want to touch the comforter or the filling so we slept with the few bed sheets that were clean and had a restless night. After we brought up the concerns from night 1 to the staff, the management team was able to move us into the Chairman Suite. We waited a few hours for the previous guest there to check out and for "thorough cleaning" to be done. When we entered the suite, it was in terrible condition. There were leftover noodle scraps on the carpet floor, more blood stains on the bedding, hair and various other dust particles in the bathroom sinks and on the floors. It took almost 2 hours for the housekeeping manager to come clean the room herself and our plans for that day were interrupted by the room change and me running around trying to get staff to clean our new room. That evening in the "chairman suite", we also noticed a strong cigarette stench coming from the A/C vents towards the entrance of the room. We are sensitive to second hand smoke so we woke up with sore throats. We brought this up with management numerous times but nothing was done. Most of my stay was spent back and forth trying to correct basic issues that the hotel failed to meet in the first place. When asked for a full refund, I was only given 35,000 Bonvoy points for my time which they believed was sufficient enough to cover days of no good sleep, time wasted and unsanitary conditions. Marriott customer service keeps telling me the cliche statement of "this does not reflect our standards" but this hotel is a reflection of how the quality of customer service is going downhill. Please rethink your choice before you stay at this property.

Yelp
I was there for a business event. The hotel location is very nice, the employees are super professional. The moment you get there, you'll feel the luxury of Westin. The rooms are okay, I do find they need to modernize it a bit, especially the bathroom. To my surprise, they have built in Chromecast on their TV so I get to enjoy my TV shows right from my phone. That's a Big plus! My company probably chose this hotel due to their outstanding service, locations as well as they have multiple stages, conference rooms to hold the event, we were about 1500 members. Overall I enjoyed my stay since it's right in the heart of downtown Toronto, can't ask for any better location :)

Yelp
A total dump. Embarrassing that Marriott can have a hotel of such bad quality in their portfolio. Broom-closet-sized rooms. Worn carpeting. No housekeeping at all unless you request it - but nobody tells you that on check in. In major need to a complete refurb. Never coming back and won't be taking any more chances on Marriott properties in the future even though I used to be a loyal customer in the past. There are plenty of nice hotels in and around Toronto. This is not one of them.

Yelp
Had a great one night stay. Room was clean and had a partial lake view which was nice. The highlight of this hotel is the gym with the views overlooking Lake Ontario. I had dinner at the hotel bar. The service was great and the bartender was attentive. I ordered the fish tacos which just so you know are fried. Although what I ordered was good, the overall menu was lacking. I picked it for convenience but you can likely find a a better menu. This would be my pick for another downtown Toronto stay but just be aware of the menu. Can't wait to try out the sleep oils provided in the room!

Yelp
This hotel is located in the downtown area with great city views, large dining areas both upstairs and downstairs and well taken care of. The gym was used once and offered good equipment though it had a crowded layout.

Yelp
The Westin Harbour Castle Hotel at 1 Harbour Square, Toronto, ON M5J 1A6, Canada was an excellent stay for our meetings this week! Everything about this particular hotel was just great.  Location, location, location.  First and foremost this hotel is smack dab in the middle of downtown.  Just a short walk away from dozens of restaurants, bars, grocery stores, the CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame, Air Canada Center and much more.  Wow, they are centrally located to just about everything. Secondly, this hotel is massive.  It's convention space alone can handle just about any group size, it's restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are convenient, and the fitness center as well as tennis court is great.  Plus, if you just want to go for a run, there's a path right out the front door. The rooms are well on their way to being all renovated.  I was fortunate to have an already renovated room.  The sleep area was very comfortable, the bathroom space was plentiful, the technology in the guest room was great (no lack of charging options), and the heating & ac worked perfectly. And what is a hotel without service, just a building right.  The Westin Harbour Castle Hotel has the heart, soul, and energy of a truly great experience.  All thanks to folks like: Genevieve Dsouza at check-in.  Genevieve was outstanding.  So friendly, courteous, helpful, just an absolute delight!  Saida in Banquets.  Saida was just a blessing in disguise.  So a great help during our banquet functions and so nice.  And lastly, Laveera in Banquets.  Laveera was a real ray of sunshine at each of our events.  She was so helpful and friendly to all of our guests and seemed to be around every corner helping someone. We loved our stay at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel at 1 Harbour Square, Toronto, ON M5J 1A6, Canada this week!  Everything about it was just perfect.  Thank You!

Yelp
I have nothing but nice things to say about this place! They gave me a free upgrade with a water view when I checked in. The rooms are big, clean and have all the amenities - in-room coffee, refrigerator, bathrobe. The bathrooms are spacious with a good amount of counter space. The showers are really nicely tiled with a niche in the wall to put all your shower stuff which is nice. What I love is a legit workout room! All the treadmills look out onto the harbour (awesome!). They have weight room and a really nice indoor pool as well!! Only down side might be the restaurant. We didn't try it because the reviews are so bad. But there are plenty of places right next to the hotel to choose from.

Yelp
Admittedly, I'm very impressed. I'm a Hilton girl and my first choice wasn't this property, however, I stand corrected and appreciated the chance to stay at the Westin. I do have their rewards system so it's not like we didn't benefit from it. Water view on the 22nd floor. Hit the hot tub every night and got to meet different people every night. Drank at the bar a couple of times while we were there. Their current drink, Slam Dunk, was amazing - vodka based. Honestly, what impressed me the most was the staff. Great property. Clean. Professional staff. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Really good property. Walking distance from a variety of things to do, places to eat - fancy or simple. There was a previous managing company that held the reward points and transferred everyone to the new system - begins with B. Can't recall the name. My only hiccup was as a member they claimed their $14.95 charge for Wi-Fi would be taken off our bill and it wasn't. So not entirely happy about this...we did our homework prior to getting on to ensure I would not be charged. I would love to hear from a General Manager on this....Overall, I'd go back again. Loved the property.

Yelp
Westins are among my favorite hotels. Can't beat the perks especially if you're an SPG member. I stayed at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto for 5 nights, and I had an overall pleasant stay. As I'll describe further, the Westin took great care of me by upgrading my room and helping me with my WiFi issues. The Westin Harbour Castle's lobby was beautiful and constantly bustling with vacationers and business folks. It has a pretty big bar/lounge area, which was always turned up in the evenings no matter what day of the week it was. Most importantly it was in a great location: - Right next to Lake Ontario - 2 min walking distance to my work office located at the RBC building - 15 min walking distance to the Ripley's aquarium and CN tower - 5 min walking distance to the Scotiabank Arena and Hockey Hall of Fame - Quick 5-10 Uber ride everywhere else. When I was booking my room, I got a basic room rate with a partial view of the lake. I opted to forgo housekeeping, because I was the only person in the room. For no reasons other than the front desk staff member was just super awesome and feeling generous, I was kindly upgraded to a premium room with no additional charge. My room was huge! I had a whole "living room" space with a single sofa and ottoman all to myself. The views were phenomenal as I had partial views of both the lake and the city. I had a nice business workstation desk area, giant flat screen TV, coffee maker, fridge, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and other standard amenities. The bathroom was spick and span. I did experience a couple of minor hiccups but nothing to totally damper my stay at the Westin. I've ordered room service a few times. I had lox and schmear with a plain bagel for breakfast. The serving of smoked salmon was very generous. The dish came with capers, lettuce, and red onions to add to your sandwich. I ordered the eggs Benedict with Canadian ham for breakfast another morning. The eggs Benedict was spruced up with sautéed spinach and a tomato. It was fine, but I didn't particularly enjoy it. The butter chicken poutine off the kids menu was pretty good. It was a different take on poutine as the butter chicken sauce, which was like tikki masala, was in place of traditional gravy. I was anticipating that it would have chicken, but it didn't. The name was misleading! One of my issues was with the WiFi. After I checked in, I was unable to access the WiFi via room # and my last name. I was on the phone with Westin's tech support for 30 min or so while we were troubleshooting it. Somehow the tech support personnel overrode the settings, and I was able to get on the WiFi. The WiFi, however, resets every 24 hrs. The next day I was unable to access the WiFi again. When I called tech support I was told that the reason why I couldn't get onto the WiFi was because the last name linked was Chang, who may have been the last person who stayed in the room. I confirmed to tech support that I was able to access the WiFi with the room # and "Chang" instead of my own last name. Despite identifying and validating the issue, tech support wasn't able to change the last name on their end... Unusual right?! Like... hello! aren't you supposed to be IT type of support?... Anyway, I was then advised to talk to someone in the front desk to have them fix it. I went downstairs and spoke to the gentleman working that evening. He said that he wasn't able to see any "Chang" linked to the WiFi, and he also thought it was bizarre that I was accessing the internet with that name. He proceeded to not only reset the WiFi access for my room but also grant me ultra-fast WiFi. By the time I got to my room, I was finally able to get onto the WiFi with my last name. Problem solved! The other issue I had was not being able to maintain an ambient temperature in the room. I was very much like the Katy Perry song - hot and then cold. I just couldn't find the sweet spot even though I played around with the thermostat all week. This was not a make or break for me, but I wish I could've been all the way comfortable rather than be comfortable while being uncomfortable.

Yelp
View was amazing. It was my boyfriend's 25th birthday and they upgraded my room and gave us wine and balloon (balloons, I paid for). Amazing service. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Great for couples who want to enjoy downtown Toronto.

Yelp
Old, beat up and dirty. Didn't see a single carpet that wasn't badly stained. Walls are banged up, elevator buttons don't light. Windows are dingy and the in room thermostat is not accurate. Totally unacceptable at this price point.

Yelp
I stayed here for two nights while in Toronto for work. It was right on the water and in a good location. I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go. The downtown area where most offices are is about a 10 min walk. Distillery distinct (must see in Toronto!) was about 20-25 min walk. The hotel itself was very clean with helpful staff. They had complimentary Starbucks coffees in the room. You could also get toothbrushes, tooth paste, and other toiletries for free if you called the front desk. That was really nice as I forgot my toothbrush. The beds and rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The gym was extremely nice! It had so much equipment and space, including a squat rack! There is also a full pool next to the gym for guests. As a platinum elite Marriott guest, it's good to note they didn't have a concierge lounge. I did however receive a breakfast coupon for their lobby restaurant buffet. The food at the buffet was really good and they had a wide arrangement of options. They did "upgrade" my room, but it was just to a room with the view of the water.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed a one day stay at the Harbour Castle and found the hotel swanky and with great views. I booked with credit card points and checked in Friday late evening. The big "uhh, are you serious it's 2017?" moment was when wifi cost $$, but a quick call to the front desk and they waived the fee which was appreciated. There were complimentary waters in the room and the room was spacious and we were on practically the top floor which had a great view. The bed was super comfortable and the location was fantastic. The best part for an avgeek like myself was that I had a view of the Billy Bishop runway right out our window on the 35th floor. Score! I could watch planes land and take off! Totally had a little nerd out when I saw the view. The top floor of the hotel has a restaurant with fantastic views. We went up just to take a look at the views after hours, but didn't get a chance to eat there. It looked fairly nice though. Overall, I'd recommend The Westin Harbour Castle. Great location, comfy beds and a late 4pm checkout for SPG members, which was definitely appreciated!

Yelp
Hotwired the Westin Harbour Castle in our pursuit of a downtown TO pet friendly hotel for a quick 36hr visit with 3 different relatives. So impressed with hotel (very clean, courteous, readily available elevators and lovely room view), amenities (in room Starbucks coffee & Tazo teas, weighted duvets) and the grassy knolls at the nostalgic ferry docks right at their back door. Perfect home base for our adventures! Even the dogs approve.

Yelp
The experience at this hotel is bad the room was supposed to be ready for 3pm but waited an hour for the room to be ready after that my bags were supposed be up there already but they were not none of the bags were in the room and after that 2 or 3 keys weren't working so went down to the lobby to get new keys and got no room upgrades no free breakfast Nothing! Will never recommend or stay at this hotel ever again and the rooms are out dated and desperately need to upgraded

Yelp
Right on the Harbour Front and close distance to Yonge St. friendly staff. Room was a little outdated but overall great hotel!

Yelp
We stayed one night at the Westin and it was a really fantastic stay. At check in I got upgraded to a higher floor and the front desk personnel was extremely polite and friendly. Rooms have been updated but I still get the sense that the bathrooms here are stuck in the 70s, with their dim yellow lighting and yellow sinks. The TV system is pretty sick - you can connect Spotify from your phone if you have the app. Heating took a little while to heat up the room fully. Mini fridge wasn't cold enough and there was no setting to adjust the temperature. Lots of closet space and a large hutch. The king bed was comfy and there was a lounge sofa in the room. I am used to a hotel providing PJs in Asia but this isn't the norm in NA. Toiletries were just alright - wasn't a fan of the white tea soap - it left you with a film on your skin. Overall I would come back to this hotel and am very happy they are a part of the Marriott Bonvoy program.

Yelp
This review is for the hotel and the restaurant on the first floor. HOTEL: Rooms were nothing special but the view and location were perfect! Great views of the water and pups running around in pure joy at the dog park down below. Service was good, too. RESTAURANT: A little pricey and the food is sort of hit or miss. Soup was standard but nothing special. I got the cucumber/mediterranean salad and my friend got the salmon salad. Mine had just a little olive oil or something drizzled over it and really just lacked flavor. Hers was way better and more flavorful but that might just be in comparison to my bland concoction. Presentation was nice, though!
