"From the porte-cochère entry at the Westin Puntacana Resort & Club, you’ll catch an inviting first glimpse of coconut palms, manicured grass, and a long swimming pool that seems to end at the sea. The view only gets better upstairs, where all 200 rooms—including 16 suites—offer swoon-worthy ocean vistas. On the hottest of days, the high-ceilinged, open-air lobby is a great place to hang with a cold one while catching the ocean breezes. When it’s cooler, have lunch by the pool or at the beachside La Palapa, and plan for dinner at the open-air Brassa. As a guest at the Westin, you also have access to Puntacana Resort & Club’s eight restaurants, two golf courses, tennis center, Six Senses Spa, aquatic center, and Grupo Puntacana Foundation activities."

We absolutely loved our stay at The Westin Puntacana! The pool area is beautiful, and every member of the staff was so friendly and welcoming. A special thank-you to Rosana at the Anani Restaurant and Jerison at the pool—both went out of their way to make our experience extra special.||The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and all three on-site restaurants served delicious food. We also really enjoyed the cigar bar—it was a fun and relaxing spot to visit after dinner a couple of nights.||Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a super-cozy bed, plenty of bottled water refills, coffee in the room, and nice touches like the robe and slippers. The ocean view from our room was stunning.||The only downside was that the ocean had a lot of seaweed during our visit, which we learned was due to a tropical storm that had just passed through. But that just gives us an excuse to come back again when the water is clear—we can’t wait to return!

Our stay at The Westin Punta Cana was very enjoyable! The resort is well-maintained, with beautiful grounds and lovely ocean views. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The restaurants offer a good variety of tasty meals, and the service throughout the hotel was professional and friendly. They also have cigar club with the store, golf cart, and SPA. In the evenings, when it’s sunset, the bungalows have a very romantic atmosphere — softly lit and cozy, making for a peaceful and pleasant setting. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Punta Cana! 😍

I was very excited to spend my 53rd birthday at the Westin Punta Cana the 2nd week fo July. When I arrived with my daughters, we were amazed by the calm and relaxing vibe of the hotel, which we were seeking. The staffmember who first greeted us and got us all checked in was kind and enthusiastic. |I do feel, though, that a resort of this caliber where families are bound to travel should have a "family room" that sleeps three without charging for breakfast and an additional guest fee. My daughter paid for breakfast daily, and was charged a sizeable amount per day as an "extra guest." This seemed a bit much to me. That being said, the service at breakfast and the breakfast selections were terrific. |The biggest glitch in our visit, though, was when I put my earrings down on the dresser to change to go to the pool, and when I came back to the room to freshen up (approx two hours later, after the room had been serviced), they were gone. They were gold, yes, and I should have put them in the safe / remembered to put them back on my ears, but again, at a five-star resort, a guest should feel safely able to leave an item out without fearing it being stolen. I speak Spanish fluently (I am a Spanish teacher) and it pained me greatly to have to "snitch" on housekeeping, but I had to report it. The security folks were gracious and they did take my issue seriously, but as a Marriott resort, this sort of thing really should not happen. |The Dominican people are wonderful and hospitable.

The hotel was okay. But the main issue was with the agency they work with for activities. They charged us a large amount for an excursion, and on the day of the activity, we waited in the lobby for over an hour for the bus to pick us up.. it never came. The agency canceled the tour without notifying us. Even worse, the lady from the agency was sitting at her desk the entire time and didn’t bother to tell us it had been canceled. When we asked her, she didn’t even seem aware that we had a booking. They are scammers. We trusted the Bonvoy app, and as ambassadors, we usually rely on the companies that partner with the hotels. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. When a hotel works with an outside agency, they should make sure it’s trustworthy first. After checking the reviews of this agency, we discovered that many guests had experienced the same issue .. being charged for activities that never happened. When I went to the front desk to ask for help with this situation, no one assisted me, even after waiting for hours for the agency to refund my money. I’ve never had any problems with Bonvoy hotels before, but this experience was very disappointing. Definitely never again with this hotel.

This hotel was beautiful, modern, clean and had a beautiful beach with free lounge chairs and cabanas. It’s a private beach so you’re not worried about people selling things and other people from other resorts. It’s a very quiet place with beautiful restaurants and delicious food. Prices are expensive but food and drinks were delicious. |The supervisor Tomy could use a few classes in customer service. He was very sour, stern and not accommodating. ||Overall a very relaxing place and 6 minutes from the airport. The spa on this huge property was also very beautiful and the staff there were amazing!!

My wife and I stayed at this property for three nights beginning August 13. We give it mixed reviews. Scale is 1-5 with 5 being the highest. Property itself – 5: It was modern and very clean with nice amenities (extra-large and beautiful swimming pools, very nice gym, hot tub, etc.). Service – 5: We were very happy with the service from beginning to end. The staff was great. Beach – 3. We came to Punta Cana to see and access the beautiful beaches and beach water the area is known for. But this beach was a mild disappointment, mostly due to the sargassum permeating the island. I give the hotel lots of credit for trying to clean it (sargassum) each morning, but try as they may, the effects of the sargassum worked to the detriment of the water color and at time permeated an unpleasant odor. Definitely not the resort’s fault, as its (sargassum problem) occurring throughout most of the Caribbean, but a disappoint non-the-less. Food – 5: We were happy with quality of foods from both the on-site restaurants and room service food. Be forewarned, however, that an 18 percent goods and services tax and 10 percent mandatory tip fee is tacked on to every thing you order to eat and drink, not just at this hotel but at most places across the island. As it relates to the Westin, that’s pretty hard to swallow when you consider the cost of food is super inflated to begin with. To end on a positive note, we give the resort credit for providing a free shuttle to and from the local airport, the eateries in The Villages area, and the spa and restaurant owned by neighboring Punta Cana Resort and Club. The service comes in very handy.

Amazing experience! We arrived here after an awful experience at a hotel in the Bavaro side. Our experience at The Westin, turned everything around positively. Their staff was wonderful! Shout out to Emmanuel at the beach, Vladimir, Front Desk, Rossy & Rossana at Anani restaurant. Housekeeping does a phenomenal job, the room was cozy, clean, comfortable, everything you expect when your goal is to relax while on vacation. The facilities are beautiful! We had the chance to experience all the outlets except the steakhouse. We will gladly be back and recommend to our loved ones!

The location is wonderful. The facility is excellent. The staff works hard for you. However, while I was there, the restaurants were closed or limited to one. I had to order-in food. And the resort would not permit delivery of the food. I had to travel outside the entrance gate to pick the food up. Regarding the food and drink, very expensive compared to other resorts. A meal for two will average $160 dollars, with two drinks. And that could be your lunch.
