The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa (Sohna-Gurgaon, Haryana) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There’s more to India than riotous city scenes and stately old palace hotels. Two hours south of New Delhi, and less than an hour south of the tech-heavy satellite city of Gurgaon, there’s a luxury resort that’s quite unlike what we’ve come to expect from five-star Indian hospitality. This is the Westin Sohna, a thirty-five-acre estate that’s as tranquil as Delhi itself is chaotic, home to a hotel that’s as understatedly modern as the Taj Mahal is unashamedly traditional." - Tablet Hotels

The property is brilliant! It's big, lush green and very well maintained. The best part is the kid friendly options. There is an indoor play area, an outdoor play area which has nice swings and an animal farm which our daughter really loved. We stayed at the private villa with an indoor pool and all of us, including our pet had a lovely time! The staff is really courteous and they looked after us with a sense of genuineness. This was one of our best short vacations ever and a huge thanks to the entire team for this. Special shoutout to Komal from your front office team for providing us with constant support and service throughout our stay. We would love to come back soon!

Beautiful property. Really well built and laid out. We stayed at the one bedroom Premier Villa. It was spacious, very well lit up and the interiors were very nice. Bathroom was amazing with a skylight above the bathtub. His and Her sink + separated shower and toilet areas were a great add on. The property is very green and one would hear birds chirping, peacocks calling, hens, turkeys, white pekins around the property with some rabbits, guinea pigs, emus and even a horse in the pack . Pool area is ideal for the kids and even adults. There is cart service that one can avail to go around the property or even get a bicycle. But the property is perfect if you want to go for a stroll and check out all the amenities. Food quality is good. Buffet has a decent variety. Staff is well trained and looks after you well. All in all a great experience. Definitely recommended

We had a wonderful stay at the resort. The service was prompt, and every staff member we interacted with was courteous, polite, and genuinely helpful. Our room was well-maintained, and both in-room dining and room service were efficient and timely. The buggy/cart service was always just a call away, making it easy to get around. My daughter especially enjoyed feeding the animals at the mini zoo, and we all loved spending time near the serene lake. Living amidst lush greenery, with the soothing sounds of birds and the occasional sighting of peacocks, made our stay incredibly peaceful. The food was a standout highlight—absolutely 10/10. The buffet offered an impressive variety during both breakfast and dinner. The staff and chef at the Red Brick Room restaurant went above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience. Food quality, taste, variety, and service all deserve a perfect score. The ambiance was also lovely—I'd rate it 9/10. I would highly recommend this resort to everyone. It's truly a must-visit destination near Delhi.

Our stay at The Westin Sohna Road was truly exceptional — a perfect mix of nature, relaxation, and outstanding service.||||A special shoutout to Ranjana, our main server, who was the sweetest and went out of her way to make our kids feel comfortable. Chef Rathore and his entire team was constantly checking in, tailoring meals to guests’ preferences, and delivering amazing food.||||Our mornings started peacefully with a professional yoga session, and the kids’ sports activities were fun and engaging. The environment was serene, surrounded by lush greenery that made for a perfect getaway.||||Service was impeccable throughout — Keshav ji, the Room Service Incharge, ensured everything ran smoothly. Servers Mr. Dinesh, Suraj, and Aryan were efficient and attentive. The tea by Ms. Florence and Mr. Dileep was simply perfect. Lastly, Mr. Ishaan at the front desk was extremely helpful. From guiding us all about the property, to taking care of our minutest needs, he was always there with a smile. ||||A truly refreshing experience — we can’t wait to return!

Had a two night stay with my wife and in-laws. We each stayed in individual villa king rooms. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. The activities really suited us: the spa with whirlpool/steam room and yoga, the gym, lots of walking, etc. For that reason, it was overall a very enjoyable time. The staff was very hospitable all around, from front desk to room service. The gold cart service was prompt and really helped with my in-laws and we made good use of it. My biggest complaint would be the buffet food. The indian food section is pretty good, but the rest is not. It looks/tastes old, as in it's been reheated over and over again. Same with all the desserts, they're often stale and not fresh. We did stay in the middle of the week on a Tue/Wed with not many guests, so it's possible the food wasn't turning over fast enough and may be a non-issue during busier times/weekends. My one burning question to staff/other guests: How does everyone open the glass water bottles? It takes a HERCULEAN effort to take the black cap off

We want to **thank Westin Sohna** for making our stay special. This resort is one of the best in India, not just because of its luxury but because of the **amazing staff** who make sure guests have a great time. ### What We Loved: - **Beautiful rooms & peaceful surroundings:** The resort is surrounded by green landscapes, and waking up to birds like cuckoos, peacock is a rare treat, especially in NCR. - **Great food & special touches:** The **high tea**, with live flute music, was fantastic. Dinner was grand, welcoming guests of all ages and backgrounds, with **excellent service** and personal visits from the chefs. - **Fun activities & a wonderful pool:** The **warm-water swimming pool** was the best part of the resort. There’s also a zoo, cycling, and indoor games for everyone to enjoy. - **Outstanding staff:** Special thanks to **Ranjana (dining), Chef Rathore, and Vikram (services)** for their amazing hospitality and services. They gave gone beyond miles to make our experience wonderful. ### What Could Be Better: - **Better directions & signage:** The resort is **75 km from Delhi NCR**, and the last **5 km** has **narrow roads with no signs**, making it hard to find. The **last 10 km** feels empty, which might not be safe at night. - **More interactive activities:** Adding **karaoke nights or dance events** would make the stay even more fun. Overall, we had a **fantastic stay** and left with great memories. We highly **recommend Westin Sohna** to anyone looking for a enjoyable and peaceful stay.

We came with our children who are 3&6 yrs old to spend some quality time at a resort which is near Delhi. We stumbled upon THE WESTIN SOHNA ( managed by Marriott Group) online and booked it directly. We booked a family studio room. The room was decent and well connected with all areas unlike villas. ||The resort is huge and there is greenery all around. It has ample activities like 2 pools - one is for all age groups and one is an adult pool only due to its depth, indoor kids play area having many games for all age groups, animals was a special attraction as the person handling them Mr Rajesh Patel allows the children to play with them like ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits, emu, goats etc. you can feed them as well which children really like. Then there are paid activities like go karting, horse riding etc. There is this small westin lake as well adjoining the resort which you can visit in day time and relax if the weather is good! Food overall is fine specially with kids. ||There are some improvements required in the area of hospitality which was conveyed to the concerned people and they were receptive and assured to act upon the same. ||Mr Rajesh Patel is the most honest guy here whether you like it or not!!! Do meet him if you want some dry humour and witty answers from a down to earth man! ||Mr Himanshu was quite helpful in choosing the right buffet option. Very helpful. ||Mr Keshav is the person to go to for all your house keeping needs and customizing things for kids.||I thank Ms Majumder, Mr Dharam Bhatt, Mr Deepak and others who patiently heard me for honest feedback. |I look forward to returning with my family for a relaxing weekend soon.

A Memorable Stay at The Westin Sohna – Royal Pool Villa||We recently stayed for two nights at the Westin Sohna Resort & Spa, choosing the Royal Pool Villa for a relaxing getaway. While the stay was overall delightful, there are a few observations worth sharing — both highlights and areas for improvement.||Let’s start with the positives, which were many:||The dining experience was truly the highlight of our stay. Every meal at Red Bricks restaurant was exceptional — not just in taste but in the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Special thanks to Executive Chef Pradeep, along with Amit, Saurabh, Gaurav, Dinesh, Chirag, Himanshu, Ujjval, Ranjana, and Mercy. Their hospitality, genuine enthusiasm, and personalized service created a memorable experience that set a benchmark for resort dining. From custom touches to engaging conversations, their attitude compensated for every other shortfall during the stay.||However, a few areas of improvement did stand out:||Bathroom design in the villa felt slightly dated and not quite aligned with the premium nature of the Royal Pool Villa.||Staff availability in the gym and recreational zones was inconsistent, making it difficult to get assistance or use facilities smoothly.||We experienced a few technical glitches with the Marriott Bonvoy app, especially related to check-in and service requests, which delayed responses on a few occasions.||That said, the exemplary service and effort by the restaurant team did a lot to offset these inconveniences and left us with warm, positive memories.||In summary, while there are small gaps that can be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience, the people and food at Westin Sohna truly shine. We’d be happy to return — and sincerely hope to see the same amazing dining team again.
