We arrived around 8 p.m. to a large property and were welcomed by a receptionist who was friendly and provided a clear explanation of the resort amenities. Our villa was spacious and clean, comfortably for four people. However, there was a noticeable, slightly odd smell when we entered, possibly from the washing machine or simply the age of the building.Parking was easy during our stay since there were few guests, but it could be challenging when the resort is busy. Because the property is so large, a car or golf cart service is essential for getting around. Our villa was conveniently located near a small pool, which we enjoyed. The kitchen was well equipped for anyone who wants to cook. Overall, it’s a roomy and well-equipped place for a relaxing stay, though the initial odor and potential parking issues are worth noting.

We decided to take our family to this resort for our family vacation in August 2025, big mistake. Our trip was delayed due to hurricane Erin, so we missed the first day. After our first night there, at 8:00 am, there was construction work being done directly above us. Our third night, there was interrupted by a flood in one of the bedrooms in our unit, due to the construction work being done on the floor above us. I informed the front desk and they sent someone from the engineering dept. that brought a fan in an attempt to dry up the water, not a vacuum, just a fan. The floor was flooded, a fan alone would not do the job in my opinion. so I asked to be moved to another 3 bedroom unit. We were moved to another three bedroom unit, smaller in size. However, there were a few issues that needed to be taken care of in the unit in which we moved to. The bathroom door in one of the bedrooms would not close. One of the Engineers came and corrected the issues in which we were experiencing. I was told that the head of engineer manager would contact me the following morning to see what could be done to make our stay a more pleasant experience, as we had to move out during the night. No one has yet to contact me. I forgot and left an item in the unit we moved out of, so I called the front desk to ask if I could retain the item that I left and she said I would have to get it before housekeeping clean the room in the morning for the next guest, and I said, how is that possible, one of the rooms are flooded. The following morning I meet with security and we entered the room, and the room had already been clean for the next guest. There is no way that floor was dry. The units right underneath the construction work should not be occupied. The units at this resort are out dated. And the showers in each bedroom was missing stones. Some of the people working at the front desk and at the towel hut were not friendly. However, there were a young lady name Bri and another young man at the towel hut that was very friendly. I am a Titanium member with Marriott and I have visited many Islands in the Caribbean, the St John Westin Resort Villas is one I can truly say, been there, done that, and don’t want to go back.

This is the first time we have stayed at a Westin resort. It is also the first time we have been to St John. To be completely honest, we are more than underwhelmed. The resort needs a lot of updates. The rooms are worn. The pool area is gross. The water is filthy. No outdoor showers or places to clean off after going to the beach so the pool is full of sand. The three bedroom unit we were in had construction happening on the unit directly above us. The noise started at 8 am. They hit a pipe and caused one of the bedrooms in our unit to flood. They sent an engineer over to assess the damage. We were moved to a different villa at 9 pm. We were told it would be the same type of three bedroom villa. It was not. The second bedroom had a smaller bed and was so tiny you could barely turn around. The bathroom door was off the hinges. The room was dirty. They told us we were told we were lucky to have a place to stay. Less than 12 hours later when we asked to go back to the old unit to get something left behind, we were told housekeeping already prepped it for the next guest. When asked about the water damage, the front desk just shrugged her shoulders. The phones in the rooms do not work. There is only one AC thermostat for the entire unit. The bedrooms are hot. You need a cab to go almost anywhere. Westin has its own cabs which is handy. Getting around to get food or go off the resort is costly. We are only three days into this vacation and it feels like a mistake. This feels nothing like a 4.5 star resort.

My husband and I went for our 25th wedding Anniversary. When we got to the resort, they had upgraded us to an ocean view 2 bedroom suite. The staff was extremely friendly. Lewell one of the transport guys was hysterical and very knowledgeable about where we should go. The manager sent us a bottle of wine and card on our Anniversary. Raymond at the Snorkel’s pool bar makes some of the best rum punch on the island! It is dated but they are in the midst of renovation. We were told at some point in the near future they were going to close and redo the pool so make sure you verify it’s open. The food at Lemongrass Restaurant and the Mango market which has a small deli, grab and go items and especially the pizza was delicious! We would definitely recommend renting a jeep if going to be there for a few days. But there are always taxi’s available. Free parking although you will need a ride to your room but the golf carts run constantly or you can call to request one. We will definitely go back.

We spent 5 days in an ocean view room at the Westin. I recommend upgrading to this view. The room was spacious and clean. The outside of the hotel could use some TLC in a few areas but the inside is lovely. There are plenty of restaurants and the food was good. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The location is nice and close to many attractions. We enjoyed being on top of the hill as there was always a nice breeze. The walk to the beach requires a staircase but it was an easy nice walk. The beach provided chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, paddle boards and sailing. We participates in the night kayak tour which was a lot of fun. Some reviews indicted the service was not good but we found the staff to be too notch, friendly and eager to make our experience a good one. We would stay at the Weston again.

We enjoyed our stay here overall. The rooms could use a bit of updating, but they were comfortable and worked well for us and it was quiet. The service was great for the most part, though we were disappointed that the concierge we were assigned wasn’t available to welcome us and never responded to our email about restaurant reservations we booked through him. However the first shuttle driver we had, Neil, was amazing and we loved the welcome drinks they provided after we got off the ferry. One downside was that the on-site restaurants closed pretty early, and because our room was a bit far from the main activity areas, we often had to rely on the shuttle. It would be nice if they had some late night options past 9pm. That said, taxis were easy to access, and despite a few inconveniences, we had a good stay and enjoyed our time here.

I would not recommend staying at the Westin. We rented the villa that came with a hot tub in the swimming pool when we got to the room the pool and the hot tub have not been cleaned. It took them a full day to properly clean it. mind you this cut into our stay time. The hot tub was never Adequately cleaned, and it didn’t get hot it never ever at any point got hot and when you turn the bubbles on, you can see the foamy Nasty stuff bubble up in the water. They do not clean those private pools in those hot tub tubs for the rooms. It was a waste of money. We could’ve been better off, renting a room that didn’t have a private pool and hot tub. Also, the fire alarm kept going off it goes off forever and it’s loud and obnoxious. I tried to warm up food in the microwave, and the fire alarm went off.

We loved St John! The restaurants downtown are a taxi/shuttle ride. However, pretty expensive if you go into town every night. $7.00 per person each way. But worth the $ and ride to enjoy great restaurants with cocktails and wine. The Westin villages needs repairs which the resort has started. A shout out to Dorloris and Icy! Great service!!

Yelp
It's good they'll be redoing the pool later this month as it is very run down and the pool flooring is rough. Tile pieces are coming off and the rubber sealing pieces are hanging from the walls. It was a relatively small pool for the protect size, but with the beach right there it doesn't really matter. Nice they have a hot tub and the amenities are pretty average. The golf carts are also very much needed for some of the rooms since they can be a long walk from the single parking lot by the office. Stayed in two different room specs, and both were pretty normal for a Marriott property. The two bedroom we found someone's underwear mixed with ours after we did a load, so housekeeping didn't check that well before signing off on the room. We also found a clear razor cover on the bathroom counter that they had missed as well. The living room balcony door was very hard to slide on one of the balconies, the other master bedroom door was smooth. The second room we stayed in was a studio, and it is very small so be prepared if you come with more than 2 people. It's hard to get the sofa bed out with all of the extra seating and coffee table in the way. That room we found makeup on multiple towels we tried to use, so sadly the laundry wasn't great there.

Yelp
I was planning to wait until the end of my vacation to leave a review, but unfortunately, the issues here just keep piling up, and none of them are ever resolved or even acknowledged. While the property itself is beautiful, don't let that fool you. Even as a Platinum Elite Bonvoy member and an owner, don't expect any sort of preferential treatment, not even something as basic as an ocean view. The front desk staff and all the other staff has been some of the least helpful and least welcoming I've ever encountered, making interactions feel more like a burden than hospitality. We arrived late from St. Thomas and were stranded with no transportation, and no assistance from the hotel. When I asked where I could buy bottled water (since they don't offer any as a welcome amenity despite my status), the response I got was a shrug and "I don't know." If I had known this is the kind of service I'd receive, I would have never spent my money here. Save yourself the disappointment and money and book elsewhere.

Yelp
Will not return or recommend this resort! Highly shocked and disappointed. We have a timeshare in Hawaii and the Westin thinks this is equal to their resort on Maui- absolutely ridiculous! The resort is not poorly maintained. The pool has large chips, algae is growing along the entire edge, broken lights, poor sound system, paint is needed. The restaurants have a limited menu and are of low quality. You really only have one option for a restaurant on site as the other is only open for 3 days per week. The restaurant by the beach has garbage in the sand that was never cleaned. Nearby garbage cans were covered in animal excrement. Small condos- need to be updated. We rented a cabana at the pool. The front side of the cabana was also splattered with animal excrement. The pool chair covers were so strong with mildew; it was unbearable to sit on them. The majority of the staff are lazy and unfriendly. Why are the high standards of other Westin properties not here in St. John?

Yelp
The Westin is a great location on St. John. For the price the resort is worn. I know vacation clubs get a lot of use, but being part of Marriott I had higher expectations. The pool was large, but the area around the pool was dirty. Our room was two bed two bath but it only had a tiny kitchenette area. The layout of the unit was odd. Rent a car and drive to a different beach each day. Come back to the resort for the afternoon. One nice thing is that Cruz Bay Watersports is located on property. We did a snorkeling day that was great. I would stay here again but with lowered expectations.

Yelp
A wonderful time at our Westin villa, but...housekeeping needs to get things better! A post visit Marriott Bonvoy survey was completed. No follow up from anyone. It's been 2.5 weeks.

Catherine W.

Yelp
The resort is pretty, however the staff is not friendly at all, maybe 3 workers were friendly out of all the ones we encountered for a week. The resort did grow on us, but does not compare to Hawaii by any means. Be ready to spend a lot, not cheap by any means!!

Yelp
My parents are timeshare owners And they love it here. They have generously brought me three years in a row. This place Feels like home upon every arrival. There are a few honest feedback points that I will Share. Snorkels is the only restaurant for sit down. The food is always excellent though the Menu is Limited. Service can be slow but relax and remember you are on vacation. I am a bit disappointed on some general upkeep maintenance things. The pool needs to some Tlc there are spots Where the caulk at the coping is sagging and looks shabby. There are Several spots in the pool the the raw concrete is exposed where the paint is worn. The grounds are beautiful. If you look close there are signs of lack of attention to details. Small litter issues. The beach around the restaurant are a bit disappointing straws etc. beach crew very nice but maybe they could do a bit more to clean the sandy areas. I love it here but only wish to share my observations. Home away from home

Yelp
09/25 - 9/29/2023 What a beautiful resort. Once again the Westin did not disappoint. From the property to the service top notch all the way. We had a 2 bedroom villa through my timeshare. The heavenly bed indeed. 2 balconies, kitchen amenities, 2 bathrooms washer and dryer and dining area. The grounds so green and well kept. Was off season so perfect not crowded and the perfect relaxing vacation needed. Things to note St.John does not have an airport so you will need to fly into St Thomas. Upon arrival at airport there is a Westin desk where you check in purchase your ferry ticket only way to arrive at resort. Your luggage is picked up transported to the shuttle which takes you to the ferry and the next time you see is when it is delivered to your room. Food pricey, alcohol not. Free WiFi Daily $25 resort fee Upon arrival welcome drinks. I can't say enough we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Most important: BRING BUG SPRAY AND MAYBE SOMETHING FOR ITCHING. SAND FLIES ARE BRUTAL. Few shout outs: folks below made our stay even more memorable. Sherma - great pool attendant Dina - best omelette maker Bob - server and bar tender Xena - server Helena- server at the beachside

Yelp
Our party of four stayed September 5 through September 12, 2024. There is plenty of parking, but finding where to check in was difficult because there is a serious lack of signage/no signage on many of the doorways. The shuttle drivers are excellent, thank you Neal. Two of the waitresses by the pool, Sunny and Icey, were both a wealth of knowledge and both had a great sense of humor. I will reserve commenting on the need for updating/routine maintenance only because there was signage stating that room/villa upgrades/remodeling would begin this fall. I will note that a couple small issues that we had in our villa were promptly addressed.

Recently stayed at the Westin hotel in St. Johns, USVI, and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect and the amenities are top notch.

Yelp
We are Mariott people but the son and family wanted to treat us to this resort. Our expectations were high because we love the quality and comfort offered by Marriott. When we flew into the St. Thomas airport we checked into the Westin checkin area. We signed up for the next ferry going to St. John. They took our luggage and gave us a van ride to the ferry where we got on a Westin ferry. When we arrived at St. John we were greeted, given a complimentary drink, the keys to our room and were given a cart ride to our room. ( You should also check in with the Concierge in order to get your Welcome Packet. It includes taxi rates, restaurant suggestions, map of island, etc as well as a coupon card to get discounts at local establishments.) The grounds were beautiful and the staff was AMAZING. The two room suite we stayed in was a little dated and there was not a stove in the room. (My fault. I should have checked on that.) The table situation was not ideal for a toddler. Although we requested and received a high chair it came without a tray and the table was too high for the high chair to work with it. We made do but it didn't work for sit down meals together. We ate out WAY more than we planned because of those two reasons. That being said, although there was some construction on site it did not interfere with our stay at all. It seemed like whenever we needed to get from one place to another on site there was always a friendly staff member driving a cart willing to take us to our destination. We could have taken the Westin ferry back and forth between St. John and St. Thomas as many times as we wanted. Since the son rented a car we didn't take advantage of that. I think next time we would. There is a complimentary shuttle to Trunk Bay and taxi prices were fairly reasonable so you really don't need to rent a car. If you decide you want a rental car while you are on St. John you can rent one there. Pictures of food and restaurant are from Caribbean Night which is held on Tuesday nights on site at the Lemongrass Restaurant. This was expensive -$65.00 /adult but you will find all meals are expensive on the Island. So for the price and the variety, it was worth it. Overall, it didn't meet Mariott, five star rating, but it was definitely four stars. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the staff was. The water on Trunk Beach was an amazing turquoise colored and a great place to enjoy the beach. The pool was very nice. everything's definitely on island time. But I guess that's really the intent if you're going to get away.

Yelp
Facility just misses. Staff is preoccupied with unimportant things at the expense of important things; customer isn't valued; the importance of a first class experience is lost on them; everything comes up short. Our room had a broken washing machine that was still broken when we left; a light was hanging off the wall when we arrived and despite its report, it was still hanging off the wall when we left. The coffee machine in the room was broken and there were no frying pans, save one 8" egg pan. The hotel invited us to an owner wine and cheese party that was to take place at an outdoor pavilion. They moved it, without informing owners, to the pool area. When we finally arrived, we laughed hysterically at a single paper plate of cheese, salami, and crackers; backed up by a NyQuil plastic cups of wine. The wine was a selection that was economical. My guess was a bottle cost of $8-$10, with a choice of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, & Rose. Most were from Chile. Restaurants were closed Monday-Thursday. Staff was out of sync. Three people asked us if we wanted bread. Finally, one of them remembered 20 minutes later. I am not saying I would never go again, I would spend sometime to find something better. If I was unable to do that...I would settle on the Westin, but it will not be my first choice without some major improvements. We are Marriot owners and perhaps have higher expectations or perhaps they are just off during the off season. If you have experienced better than what we have then roll with that. I stayed in a Westin in Maui and it was top notch...that was my expectation.

Yelp
We spent 4 nights here. Overall, the resort is a nice place. It has a nice location, right on the water with their own private beach and close to the town of Cruz Bay. With that said, it does leave some things to be desired. We stayed in one of 4 buildings that are across the main road from the resort. This isnt that bad except that you have to walk a quarter mile to get to the beach and once you cross the main road, it was all uphill (and rather steep toward the end). Everything at the resort is expensive. Our first morning, we ate at the restaurant for breakfast; our simple meal was about $60. It's difficult to eat a meal here for two for less than $75. There's a convenience store, which is a good place to get some food, but some prices there are inflated (some of this might be because everything on the island is more expensive than we are used to on the mainland). Other than that, the quality of accommodations is not what we are used to at other Westin properties. The idea that a room here goes for $600/night is just plain laughable once you know the quality of room you are getting. Despite all that, there are some good things. There are guys who will drive you around the property for free. There's a taxi service that takes you into town for $7/person each way. They have an [overpriced] ferry that goes from the hotel directly to St. Thomas for $60/person (more if you go at the wrong time of day; you can get one in Cruz Bay for $13). Overall, its not a bad place, its just not a great place. Just average; really, below average for what it tries to be. And expensive.

Yelp
Great hotel with plenty of resort amenities. Two restaurants Snorkels and Lemongrass. Accommodations were very comfortable for 4 people. Two rooms with 1 king bed and other room 2 queen beds. Spacious room size and air conditioned.

Yelp
I'll start off with a disclaimer. I have a family who works for Marriott so both times I've stayed here, it's extremely discounted from the rate that's given if you go on Marriott.com. We first visited in May 2021. Covid was still "a thing" then so the resort was dead when it came to things to do. The first visit, we had a pool view on the bottom floor. 2 bedroom. Great spacious room. Fast forward to now... Dec 2022, were saying in 1012 which is a bay front or beach front view if you will. They have daily activities, more restaurants open. We paid about $500-600 more this go round but worth it since they have more to do. We've done bingo which is $12 per person. 3 rounds. And you get a drink every round (and they are strong lol). I've seen them have movie night, karaoke, poolside pleasers which is free shots of rum. Overall, they are definitely bringing the resort vibe back. Now on to food. The food is fine. But it's expensive. I mean everything. Lol i will typically walk to the Dolphin market which is right outside of the resort. They have breakfast in the mornings. Eggs, meat, potatoes for $10. They also have cream of wheat (not to be confused with gravy ). They also have prepared foods during lunch. Overall - we throughly enjoy the Westin. The ferry is a nice benefit. I would visit again, however, I could never pay (or afford lol) the standard rate.

Yelp
Best resort on St John...well...only resort on St John We had never visited the USVI before and while we liked St Thomas we were blown away by the splendor, beauty, and sheer fun of St John. And if you want a resort experience on the island your choices are the Westin, the Westin, and the Westin. And there was a lot to like about the Westin. Most aspects of our villa were spectacular with up to date furnishings and a lovely view. The bay, pool, and hot tub were quite enjoyable and the onsite Mango Cafe had a good selection of tasty dishes, snacks, and essential groceries. There was a 'real' grocery store a very short walk from the resort and getting to Cruz Bay (and other destinations) was quite easy - there was ample parking at the resort and taxis were readily available. And the local 'wildlife' - iguanas and cats - kept us entertained. That said...there were some downsides. We were assigned a villa in Sunset Bay which is right next to the bay (and pool). While wonderful overall, the second bedroom had *no* windows or access to open air or natural light of any kind. Our adult children had difficulty both getting to sleep and waking up as a result. And the Sunset Bay villas are *small* for a weeklong stay - it felt a little cramped for the four of us never mind more. That said, I'm not sure we would have liked the resort nearly so much if we were assigned to one of the Virgin Grand villas across the road. Older and isolated from the main resort and bay/pools I would only ask for one if you particularly valued privacy and/or having your vehicle next to your villa. In short, I strongly recommend that you visit St John and do recommend the Westin. After all, it *is* the best resort on the island!

Yelp
I decided to pack my suitcase and live the gypsy life for an entire month. Call it a wanderlust desire or the simple need to escape the routines of a mundane life, I jumped on a plane and let the compass guide me. To be honest, I didn't care where I was going; I trusted the universe to map out my journey. My travels unveiled a world of endless possibilities. I met the most amazing people, chased magnificent sunsets, sailed in the bluest of waters, sunk my toes in velvet sand and found my inner mermaid. This sun kissed beach bunny had the most epic summer of a lifetime. By this time, I had hopped around the Caribbean islands Sint Maarten, Antigua, St. Barths and St. Thomas before my final stop in St. John. Prior to the pandemic of 2020, I had booked a stay at the Westin. Unfortunately, I had to cancel this trip last summer, but the Westin was wonderful and accommodated my stay for 2021. The staff at the Westin are fantastic...every single one of them!!!! The Westin is top notch in my opinion. I mean every single logistical part of this trip was managed by the resort from my arrival to departure. This type of stuff can be very stressful and they took care of all of it. This resort is huge and they do a great job assisting guests with golf cart transportation around the property. They even have an area for taxi transport around the island. The bartenders were great and made delicious drinks. Being a resort, I stayed in a 2 bedroom villa, which had all the amenities. I love having a washer/dryer and kitchen. My villa was very modern and the most stunning view of the bay. I loved everything about my stay at the Westin. There is a HUGE pool and hot tub on the property. I love having a drink and enjoying the hot tub before heading off to bed. I only spent one day at the pool as I was out exploring the beautiful beaches around the island. lol The resort has a car rental facility, one main dining area located on the beach, a small cafe with snacks/coffee, and even a gift shop on property. Every building was equipped with large outdoor grills and there is a small supermarket within walking distance. Things can be rather expensive on the island so if you come with a family, the villas are great. While on vacation, I make my own breakfast and small lunch. This gives me the option to splurge on a nice dinner or excursion. As I reflect on my adventure, each of the islands are unique in their own way. That's why its important to explore each one. I appreciate the differences between them. I fell in LOVE with St. John; the island is beautiful. I will most certainly be back next year....I already have it booked! lol

Yelp
Highlights: Westin has their own private beach and taxis are readily accessible to whisk you all over the island. Especially helpful for downtown Cruz Bay where parking is extremely tough. Nice pool, loungers, water sports, activity schedule every day, free non-motorized sports like disc golf. Our unit was up on the hill which had an awesome view and lots of space as a townhouse. They will shuttle you up and down the property so you don't have to walk if you don't want to. We had a small pool up there for the units up top, which I imagine would be great for families. Drawbacks: The appliances in our unit were very old and barely worked - the washer took ages, the dishwasher didn't fully close, the knife set was super dull. The walls in the bedroom were paper thin (again, likely due to it being an older unit), which made it hard to sleep hearing our neighbors. Groceries at the dolphin market are so extremely expensive ($8-10 for cereal, $12 for oatmeal packs) that it doesn't make much sense to cook unless you are 2+ people or plan to cook multiple days. The hot tub was closed on the day we wanted to use it and the adult movie night, the one activity we were interested in participating in, was cancelled within short notice. We planned our whole day around that event at the hotel. Restaurants are - as you would expect - somewhat pricey and looks like folks are not a fan of the prices and food. Snorkels restaurant seems to be the only bright light there. We had planned to walk into town from Westin since it's not far, but the road is too dangerous with no sidewalk so no one does. A group taxi into town (5 min drive) will cost you $7/pp/way. I'd recommend renting a car if you are 2+ people so you can see more of the island, but the taxis are very easy to come by if you prefer not to drive. Cruz Bay is a fun little town, lots of restaurants, nightlife at Beach Bar and a few local spots, good happy hour deals on drinks. There is amazing snorkeling in almost every single bay, right from the beach, and beautiful beaches beyond your wildest dreams. And fantastic hiking! To keep costs down, I'd recommend the following: -Take a taxi and the public ferry instead of the private Westin ferry transfer from the STT airport -Reserve your rental car on St. John's in advance. Remember that the large car companies like Hertz and Avis don't rent there, it's just small operators like Sunshine's. You CAN drive a rental car over from the STT airport onto the ferry, just make sure your rental car company allows it (I think Avis does). O Connors Rentals I believe is located directly at the Westin but other operators will gladly drop your car off at Westin for your convenience. -Grab groceries in Saint Thomas to bring over to St. John! Groceries are MUCH cheaper on St. Thomas. -Bring snorkel gear with you in your luggage (mask, fins). -Bring reef safe sunscreen and bug spray with you from your hometown (the mosquitos are strong at sunset).

Yelp
We can't understand how you can give this resort anything but 5 stars. Not sure what people are looking for that would warrant anything less. St. John's is amazing and the resort itself is just as amazing. There is a nearby market where a family can get almost anything to cook in your Villa at the resort grills. There is a nice 17'ft Scout that you can rent for the day and take out to explore other coves and beaches. kayaks and paddle boards are free. The on site restaurants aren't bad, but we we come here it's the island we want and it's the island we get.

Yelp
If you are looking for peace and a quiet place to relax, you have found it! The property is nice, spacious and very clean and up to date with all the technology trends. There's a spacious kitchen, BBQ grills near every building and several pools. The property is really big, we were at the 33 building which is at the highest point of the property, so it is far from everything but very quiet, peaceful and has a great view from your window. There's just one restaurant opened right now. Food is okay, although I did enjoy the guava BBQ sauce. The drinks are good though. Sodas are not chilled and yet are $3 ! We have opted for the expensive ferry service from the airport to the hotel. While this is very convenient, it is inconvenient at the same time. The ferry isn't that frequent. We landed at 1pm but have not arrived at the hotel until 4:30pm. The process itself is too long. On the way back our flight was at 4:30pm, but we were forced to take the 10:30am ferry because we have to arrive 90 minutes before the flight at the airport. This was awful because we were not able to eat lunch and there's just one option at the airport which is awful and overpriced. My recommendation is to ask for the ferry times before you book your flight to determine what you need to do. We ended up pretty much "loosing" the first and the last days. Our bags were not quickly brought to our room, so, I would recommend packing a few clothes on your backpacks to avoid this inconvenience. The staff here, overall, is incredible rude. The lady that runs the "family activities" couldn't be more rude to adults and kids. It is just unbelievable. The shuttle was often taken more than 10 minutes to pick us up from the rooms. There's a lot of fear around because of COVID within this property, but, this property along with the territory is asking for negative COVID tests to arrive and check-in. And they do check it very thoroughly, yet they are way too afraid (or extremely overcautious) asking for masks even in the outdoors, opened areas. There's a grocery store within a reasonable walking distance. Island prices, but I recommend buying breakfast essentials there and also some snacks/dinner items. Taking a taxi into town for dinner is very expensive on top of expensive meals. Renting a car isn't that cheaper, but I might do next time because we would like to explore more local places and the restaurants in Cruz Bay don't really have a local fare. Would I come back here? Yes! But would do a lot of things differently, starting with not taking their ferry service. In addition, I tried to connect with the hotel manager prior to my arrival. I sent 4 emails within a month and got no responses.

Yelp
Are you interested in being treated like a 2nd Class Citizen at a "5 Star Resort"? Then the Westin St. John is the right place for you! Well maybe, because they made that "5 Star" part up. This place would be a disappointment as a business hotel in Poughkeepsie. Warm Sands, Cool Breezes, they put those a 1/2 mile walk from our room. Yes the $5000 single bedroom suite is across the road and behind a 1/2 dozen parking lots, on a different property. Our dingy micro balcony has a fantastic view of the power lines and a waste water treatment plant. The shower with the moldy tile runs at a dribble, the toilet runs all the time, and the tub on the first level doesn't drain at all. I expressed my displeasure within a few minutes of walking into the place, and was promised a call back from the manager. He must be busy, it's been a whole week. We did manage to make our way down to the beach complex. There are a dozen or so beach umbrellas and plastic loungers for what I expect are 400 guests. They're first come, first serve for your convenience, no reservations or beach stewards. The staff suggested we arrive before the concessions open at 7:30 am and claim one for our own. Did wrangle a spot next to the kiddos pool, which lined up perfectly for the organized activity of the day, beach Connect Four. This place is an absolute joke. Tomorrow is make your own tie-dye day! This is not a spot for a Luxury vacation. This is not a resort. This is a grand disappointment. And I would say a disservice to the fine people of St John. You get an F, and that's being generous.

Yelp
So I would not say the Westin was a fantastic stay, however I will say it was nice. The food was average, the service was average, and our run was slightly above average. The stay for our first time in St. John was fantastic as it gave us a safe place to call home. Our two bedroom suite with two Burner stove was perfect ( I believe we may have been lucky with a newly remodeled store because it was clean and very nice). The Shirley service was easy to use and useful for getting around to see the town. There is very little action at the Westin and I would recommend using the shuttle to travel for superb food and island life. Take advantage of the free paddle boards and I kayaks and ferry service to at Thomas, it is not promoted on arrival. I was surprised and disappointed that the smoking area was right in the middle of the hotel lobby, work out areas and deli, not very friendly to non smokers

Yelp
Terrible experience. We are owners here and pay huge annual maintenance fees. No maintenance is done. The midweek "tidy" still has not been done and it was scheduled yesterday. We are still here and I have called 4 times today to ask to get it done so we could get our towels replaced- nothing but "we will have to check the schedule and call you back." Nobody ever calls back. Save your time and money. Go elsewhere.

Yelp
The 3 bedroom villa is absolutely perfect for a week in St.John. We took the Westin ferry, which brought us straight to the resort and when we got off the boat there was someone with a golf cart, fruit punch and our room keys waiting to drive us to our villa. We have our own private pool and we are just around the corner from Dolphin Market where we stocked up on groceries. The rental car company on the Westin property was out of vehicles but one phone call to Mr Piper Jeeps and we had a4 door wrangler dropped off at our villa in an hour and a half. We have gone to Mango Deli more than once for pizza ($22 for a pepperoni) and tried Snorkels one night (a touch over priced but it was good - we had pasta with shrimp). I will note that the two times we went to the concierge desk they weren't super helpful, they basically told us to go online and do it ourselves (dinner reservations, help finding a vehicle to rent) so that wasn't what I was expecting but overall a great experience. The villa included a fully stocked kitchen as well as an outdoor grill. The master suite had a big jacuzzi bathtub and sliding doors straight out to the pool/hot tub area.

Yelp
This is strictly a timeshare property Please don't advertise it as a resort. There is no complementary shuttle service just local taxi services. Food at the property is very hard to find. The 2 restaurants they have are extremely over priced and very poor quality. There is a rundown grocery store in town about a half mile walk from the property that guests are urged to visit and stock up on snacks for their stay. The staff also urges guests to eat locally on the island which is nice but taxi service is $7 per head one way so for 2 people to go out for dinner will cost about $40 for transportation alone

Yelp
The Westin is a beautiful large resort on St John. Private beach, big pool. The staff is above and beyond helpful and kind. Everyone has been amazing. The pool bar has great service and always has the games on the TV for those sports fans. The beach has everything you need chairs, towels, floats, umbrellas, paddle boards, and kayaks and at no extra charge which is lovely. There is a small store on site for last minute needs and a grocery store literally in 2 min walking distance. The Westin ferry is such a breeze with all your bags. The only downfall is that this huge resort has no spa. It has a really nice gym facility with treatment rooms but no spa. We staying in a 3 bedroom villa and it was absolutely perfect. Clean and well kept up.

Yelp
5 stars for the amazing staff. They go way above and beyond. They truly made the trip for us. Apart from the beauty of the island, the staff at the resort are the most memorable!

Yelp
This is a beautiful and spacious property. All of the rooms completed a refresh about a year ago. When you arrive off of the ferry from Red Hook your bags are quickly brought to your room. The villas are equipped with everything needed for comfort and relaxation. They are clean and equipped with upgraded towels, sheets and pillows. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The pool is huge and offers lots of chairs and umbrellas. The beach area also has adequate lounge chairs, umbrellas and floats available. Every staff member has stopped and extended a greeting while my husband and I are out and about. Snorkels restaurant is not only convenient but sitting out by the water is a pleasant experience. Lemongrass Restaurant will reopen in about six months.

Yelp
We were looking forward to a very luxurious and fun vacation, but left the resort completely let down. Rooms were dirty, shower drains clogged, rugs stained, ROACHES, food was disgusting. Staff and managment were horrible. Flys and seagulls attack you while your eating and cats beg you for leftovers. Do not reccomend. Save your time and money .. book elsewhere!

Yelp
Our stay at the Westin St. John Resort started off nicely. The resort is beautiful and the accommodations are immaculate. However the only quality customer service you will receive is from your golf cart/shuttle drivers. At the front desk, the host completely disregarded Marriott Bonvoy membership. Information provided on a slip of paper regarding open times for restaurants is completely different from what they still have posted on their website. You would think by now they would have updated this important information for guests. Upon checkout on the 4th day of our stay June 2nd, we called the front desk at 10:00 a.m. to inquire about the checkout time. I was told it was 10:30 a.m. At 10:05 a.m, I heard the front door open, and it was housekeeping. I told her we would be out by 10:30 a.m. as instructed over the phone. At 10:15 a.m. the housekeeper called and asked what were we doing and when were we leaving? At 10:20 am the front door opened again and the housekeeper barged into the unit while I was partially undressed downstairs, due to hot water not working upstairs and having to take a shower downstairs by the front door. At 10:33 a.m. we walked out the front door. This very same housekeeper again said repeatedly did I bother you? I didn't mean to bother you. On top of this issue of being thrown out of the property, the power went out, maintaining hot water was was a frequent issue, called maintenance several times, and still not repaired. There was also an unnecessary fire drill at 4am. Had everyone standing around outside the units for 30 minutes. Marriott Bonvoy membership entitles guests to a later checkout. They refused to uphold this standard and chose to play games about actual checkout time.

Yelp
We booked the Westin on St. John's after visiting the island before and falling in love with it. Previously we had stayed at the Ritz on St. Thomas, which was an overall great experience. We expected at least a decent level of service, staying at the Westin. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE! Upon checking in, we were greeted by no one at the front. No Valet or direction on where to park or check in. After figuring out where to park, we located the lobby. Immediately upon entering you could tell the staff had an attitude. It was like we were inconveniencing her by checking into the hotel. After dealing with her attitude, she pointed us which direction the room was and dismissed us. The room, while decently clean, had almost a Smokey smell. We were in a Studio unit and the layout of the room was a challenge (for just two people). Also the turn-down service and housekeeping were not good at all. We decided to give Snorkel's a try, since it was the only dinner restaurant on the property (more on that later). The food was terrible, we sent back an appetizer and the "special" fish dinner was greasy and did not taste good. Speaking of Snorkels, I think it's ridiculous to only have one dinner restaurant on the property. Mangos deli was a decent breakfast and lunch spot. We were staying with another couple, who also had a similar experience staying here. Below is a picture of what she found in her breakfast potatoes at snorkels. UNREAL. After less than 48 hours on the property we checked out and checked back to the Ritz in St. Thomas. After all, $200 more a night, if you can swing it, is absolutely and completely worth it when you compare the two To say this place is overpriced, is an understatement. If this was $200 a night, I get it, but over $600 is robbery considered the level or service you receive. If you're reading this, I'd definitely stay elsewhere. Please see the picture attached!!!

Yelp
Not sure why the sub-par reviews but I assume its for pre-renovations. We stayed in a 2br/2ba in Building 25. Clearly it had been renovated in last couple years as was well furnished and generous amenities. Lots of space and sitting areas. Kitchen was well stocked for all of your cooking needs. Bathrooms had plenty of all supplies you'd need. Property was very clean throughout and staff friendly. We rented a car on site at O'Connor and that was also a great experience. Taxis to take you anywhere were always available and reasonably priced with prices posted in some of them and no attempts to charge over the set price even when I couldn't find the price list. Gym was also very nice and had plenty of equipment for cardio, weights and TRX. I also recommend using the Westin ferry transportation from airport as it just makes life easy.

Yelp
First Muhammad was the best! He was our concierge and was so nice! Laurien who was one of the resort shuttle drivers also is a taxi driver and gave the BEST island tour! We learned so much! Grounds are very pretty but just little things... a few missing pool tiles and (pool) could be cleaner, only one restaurant option for dinner (they do have two themed buffets during the week but expensive!) and majority of staff are, not rude but are not as friendly as some other resorts. Odette at the pool area/activities area was nice! The beach is lovely, clear warm water which I loved! Paddle boards and kayaks are free to use and fun since water is calm! They do you have little sailboats that are free if you know what you were doing, otherwise it is $80 to have one of the staff take you out. I would understand if the staff was busy but for the most part, the guys who work over by the water sports are sitting on their phones, not doing very much, so I would think they would want to go out on the water. The fitness area is nice, they do have a spa area with treatment rooms but apparently they do not have a massage therapist on site. If you want a massage, someone offsite comes in. We went to do our owners update and sat for half an hour, which is something you usually don't do for an update... The guy came in and was rude to the receptionist and said in front of everyone there "I need a break. I need five minutes" and stormed out. I said out loud, " is that our guy?" The lady behind the desk was embarrassed and needless to say, we were excused, and did not need to go on the presentation, since the guy was very rude. But these are just a few things. Overall, the week was very nice, the views were beautiful and so far this is the nicest Caribbean island we have been to. We will be back! Oh, make sure you do the champagne sunset cruise. We had Captain Erin on the Jammin. We have attended many sunset cruises in the Caribbean and Mexico and this was the best one! The appetizers were delicious, the music was nice, and not obnoxious, Izzy, and Mike, who were her staff were great! Beautiful, sunset, calm water... This is a must do! You get the boat right at the dock at the Westin. And make sure you go to Trunk Bay beach!!!! One of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world, and you will understand why once you are there! While we were here, there was some construction going on... But mind you, we never heard anything, but because of this construction... The Westin taxi has two runs to Trunk Bay that are free, 10 AM and noon. Check-in at the front desk 20 minutes before the taxi leaves and get your ticket. They bring you back to the resort at either 2 PM or 4 PM again, this is truly worth going to! Last thing do not panic if you look at your weather forecast before you come here! We saw rain and clouds almost every day... And considered canceling. We had one, three minute shower one day. And I think it rained one night while we were sleeping. Don't let AccuWeather/google weather/weather channel scare you from coming here! BTW Beverly at the Mango deli is awesome! You'll have a great visit!

Yelp
Our first visit to St. John's USVI occurred months after the resort reopened after a lengthy closure due to 2017's Hurricane Irma. The recovery on the resort was still occurring but minimally. The landscaping was impeccable and you could see the staff were putting their best effort to present the resort as restored to its prior glory. And it was! We stayed in a recently remodeled building on a higher hill. I think it was the best building in the resort. Our view was stunning every morning, every day & every night at sunset. We were so fortunate! We were also celebrating our anniversary so I think that played into us receiving such a phenomenal room. They even delivered us a delicious bottle of Prosecco in our room upon check in to celebrate. Those gestures go a long way in my book. The beaches here are unparalleled. Seriously, some of the best in the world and stunningly picturesque. The snorkeling was fabulous although you can see the reefs took a massive beating during the hurricane. The concierge can also hook you up with day trips. We really wanted to go to virgin Gorda in BVI but our dates didn't sink up. However, they have tons of day trip options like sunset cruises, zodiac rentals etc. I'd recommend using their services. The concierge is there late too so whenever works for you. The highlights: - rooms are spacious and very well laid out. We had space to get away while all staying in the same villa. - loved the outdoor bbq for when we wanted to stay in & eat - we even had steak & eggs one morning for breakfast. The grill is hassle free & they have team members cleaning them regularly. - private beach is the ultimate. It's gorgeous and in a protected cove. The jumping inflatable thing is a blast - Private Westin ferry is worth every penny. We took the public ferry in to St. John's & the Westin out. Mistake, absolutely worth taking the Westin. Yes it's more but after the cab fares it shakes out. - great front desk staff who were friendly - the onsite rental company was fantastic. Got my car reserved, drop off was a cinch. They do not offer insurance, which I'm a huge fan of purchasing so just FYI use a travel credit card with rental car insurance should you rent. - iguanas abound! - the frisbee game was a hit with us! So much fun! Love that they have it along the property, so novel. And we got plenty of corn hole in too! - excellent gift shop and fair pricing. If you forget sunscreen they have some here. - the Westin discount card is hugely helpful in scoring meal discounts. I stupidly kept forgetting to ask every place I dined if they were part of the program. You can save a good amount by taking advantage of this! Needs improvement: - not sure what happened when my parents checked in but they waited for a shuttle for 30 minutes & it never came. It was around 5/6pm & I noticed that was around the shift change. They had to walk their luggage up our hill. Not the happy, excited start I was hoping for for them. - massive miscommunications with Cruz Bay sports who are separate from the Westin & give inaccurate information rather than directing people to the concierge. They told us the Westin Ferry was free & that we didn't need tickets. Thank god we knew better but we'd been directed to buy tickets through them when we called the front desk. Miscommunications are a hair problematic. We did like renting our beach chairs & snorkel gear from them though. - despite an earlier review there is no "free shuttle" to town. That would be a great idea though. It's a half mile & we were charged $40! What a rip off. - snorkels was extremely mediocre at best and staff was untrained. The bartenders on the other hand made delicious cocktails & were on top of it so I'd go for a cocktail. This is a great resort and I'd imagine very comfortable for families. Unfortunately while we were visiting they were in a massive drought so the typically lush island landscape looked a bit more like California than expected! However, there's Plenty to do. The resort is well located with a nice gentle, protected beach. The location on the island is fab. Close enough to everything like other world famous beaches and in a beautiful location surrounded by hills capped with homes. The Annanberg sugar plantation ruins is a fascinating part of the islands history and easily explored. While there, a team from Marriott was assessing what needed to be improved at The Westin. Sounded like they had a lengthy list so I think this resort is just going to keep getting better. I'd absolutely return. I love the Caribbean and traveling within the US makes everything simpler. Also no sales tax! Bingo!

Yelp
We just returned from a seven-night stay for our 15th wedding anniversary. We are Starwood owners and made our reservation eight months in advance and were only able to get a studio. We weren't necessarily disappointed by this since it would be just the two of us, but we were disappointed when we arrived to find that we had no balcony - only a large window. We were in suite 2126, which is central on the property and close to most everything, so we decided the pros outweighed the con. The studio had everything we needed; a king-size bed, huge TV, large bathroom and kitchenette. We were set. The property is gorgeous and meticulously maintained. There are free range chickens wandering around in addition to the lizards and iguanas. The birds can be aggressive when there's food around, so beware. At night, you can hear the frogs and other night callers in the trees. Surprisingly, we didn't have much trouble with insects other than the 'no-see-ums' at the beach. Be aware that to get to this resort you need to allow one full day for travel. Once you fly into St. Thomas, it could be hours before you can take the ferry to St. John. You can arrange this through the Westin and you'll be dropped directly on the property with your room key in your hand, or you can go on you own to the public ferry that drops you and many others in the downtown district. You'll then take a taxi to the Westin and, if it's before 4:00, you'll have to wait to check in. Not sure which is best, but we took the Westin-arranged ferry. It was effortless for the most part but there was a lot of waiting involved, and it was a very long day. We arrived around 5:45 pm. The beach is quiet and peaceful, and there are no large waves. The waterfront is a bay/marina, which is great for paddleboarding and kayaking. These water sports and more are free when you're staying at the resort. The pool area is large and very nice with padded lounge chairs and a pool bar. There are activities every day, such as bingo and bobbing for beer, and one day they made ice cream sundaes for $4. One thing that I'm noticing from the other reviews is the inconsistency with service and friendliness of the employees. I found most of the resort employees aloof and unfriendly, especially at Lemongrass. Snorkels at lunch was much better with the service and somewhat more friendly. And be prepared - everything is overpriced. You'll shake your head and think about what you pay at home, but you gotta let it go. Budget minded? There is a grocery store within walking distance of the resort if you want snacks, lunch meat, bread, etc. And rum is around $5 a bottle. This will save you when you consider the $10-15 per (pre-made mixture) drink you'll pay at the pool bar. And there's a blender in your suite! When it's time to go to town, the taxis are open air trucks that hold about 16 people. If you have dinner reservations, consider that many other people do too and allow time for this. For the most part the drivers are gruff and have no patience for silly Americans. Towards the end of our trip we found one (Kenneth's Taxi) that was very kind and more accommodating. You'll pay anywhere from $5-11 per person depending on where you want to go. If you're with a large party and you want to go off resort often, it would be cheaper to rent a Jeep. The workout room is great and the spa is even better. Ask for Aaron if you want the best massage of your life! We had no issues with Wi-Fi or Verizon cell phone service. Want more info? See my reviews of restaurants, other businesses and beaches we visited on the island. Overall, the Westin is a beautiful resort and worth the trouble to get to if you're looking to relax as a couple or with your family. This is not a party resort, is calm and peaceful, and the place to go to unwind. For these reasons, we'll be back!

Yelp
I'm particularly tough on Westins/Marriotts since I am a timeshare owner and now Platinum with them, however, this place deserves 10 stars, in my opinion. The Westin St. John has done such a good job restoring this property after the hurricane, you can barely tell anything was damaged. The hotel room was in building 11, which overlooks both the pool and beach. Additionally, it was very centrally located to the beach pool, lobby area, and the taxi stand. You don't have to walk more than five minutes to get anywhere. The pool is massive, relaxing, and offers something for everyone. I even took a quick scuba class in the pool without feeling on top of anyone else. There are more than enough chairs, and you don't have issues with people reserving them for hours with a towel and not using them. Each guest is given a towel card and you get two towels per person. Make sure you return the towels/towel card so you don't get charged! The beach, in my opinion, leaves a little to be desired. It's a bit murky, and there are a good deal of boats that dock in the harbor. Here's a tip, don't spend your time at the beach here and go off and enjoy the many beaches St. John has to offer. I promise you will be impressed. Another tip, bring bug spray for off-resort islands. You will thank me later. The room was perfect, and clearly, everything has recently been redone in the best way possible. They thought of everything! The bed was heavenly, and I slept perfectly each night. The room temp was easily adjustable, and I loved the statement ceiling fans. The balcony offers a small table and two chairs where you can sit outside and watch the sun rise or set. Doesn't get much better in my opinion. The bathrooms were designed to be fancy, and I loved them. I loved taking a shower and looking out through the high window and seeing the tops of palm trees. Talk about relaxing. There was a fully functional kitchen with a small fridge/freezer, sink, stovetop, microwave, and dishwasher. As a huge bonus, there is a grocery store less than a five-minute walk from the property. It offers a good and healthy variety and is very reasonably priced, especially for island food. The store is so close, there is no need for a cab. It's a very safe walk, just commit to crossing at the crosswalk. They also carry wine/beer/spirits, etc. I loved almost everything about this place, and it really impressed me. I arrived just a short week ago today, and I am dreaming about how soon I can return.

Yelp
Plain and simple staff is rude. Tiny amount of chairs with umbrellas so if it's busy get ready to claim those chairs very early in the morning. Service at the Pool restaurant was so slow we left. For the money it is not worth it. We went to the beach every day and just left. The property.

Yelp
We just checked in for our honeymoon. Latisha at the front desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the resort. We are excited to spend the next week here!

Yelp
A joke. No customer service. Zero. You pay to take their ferry over. Give you your room key when you get off ferry with a map. You are on your own. Find the restaurant, pool, everything on your own. Nothing about room service , how to get around, the market on site , nothing. For the price you can be treated with respect and as if you matter while on vacation if you go elsewhere. We have been here for 2 nights now. Room hasn't been cleaned. Don't even know what their policy is because no one cared to tell us anything. Like I said you were handed a key and a map. Don't do it. The world has a lot of islands. Find another one!!

Yelp
Loved my stay here! It was so convenient to get driven in the car / taxied over here off the ferry! Love the restaurant by the ocean, the convenient shop with the quick snacks and gifts, also loved all the amenities by the ocean! Also if you don't feel like walking into town or renting a car (most likely a jeep due to the steepness) theres free bus that will bring you and other fellow Westin guests over into the heart of downtown! What a great amenity.

Yelp
Best stay ever!! will be returning. We were going to stay at the Ritz Carrolton, but thankfully we stayed here. The people here are so nice. The rooms are so clean. The grounds are so beautiful. The food is good, pricey but good. They have free kayaking which was awesome and a boat rental place on the grounds. The Westin in St. John is a must!

Stephanie V.

Yelp
This is our 3rd stay and the Westin never disappoints. This year we brought extended family. The property is amazing and very clean. Housekeeping is great and the employees are fantastic. Reynaldo was very kind and took time to keep our teens entertained with riddles. We met Sharma a few years ago and was so excited to see her again. She's always fantastic and attentive to our needs. I wish I would have got the name of the bartender at Snorkles. She was also fantastic. Can't wait to plan another trip soon!

Yelp
Marriott's Customer Advocacy department reached out after my recent review; promises were made, hoping to quiet me down. A week or so later, those promises have been broken. Everything I was told was a deception; Marriott is not to be trusted...

Yelp
I will NOT be returning. The shuttle service is a JOKE! Be prepared to make at least 3 phone calls before one shows up. Taxi's in and out of this place will cost you AT LEAST $40 to go to and from a restaurant that is only a mile away which is highway robbery. The food is expensive yet the quality is subpar. There's a lack of activities and the ones that are available the staff doesn't give proper direction on how to use them. The attitude from some of the staff is appalling as if you owe them something and didn't pay too dollar to stay there. They cancelled TWO of our excursions at the last minute. We had actually paid $40 (round trip) for a taxi only to get to the location to be told that the excursion was cancelled for which they didn't even offer to reimburse us for the cost of the taxi. Stay here at your own risk.

Jedd L.

Yelp
Been here for five days. The staff easily follows through on transport from STT to ST John. Definitely coordinate their ferry directly to the resort. True Westin style- clean, manicured property, nice beach, and a really nice pool. Staff is exceptional. Shout out to Fitzroy (kind and smiling waiter) and Jeremy who welcomed us. Breakfast buffet is plentiful. Snorkels food is good. Suggestion is add some pizza. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
Had a nice relaxing family vacation here! The resort was very nice and super clean! We enjoyed a 2 bedroom loft that was very spacious with beautiful views! The service was great and the staff was so friendly and kind. The hotel restaurant had some amazing dishes and the salmon was perfect! Pool is big and spacious. Overall enjoyed our stay and trip!

Yelp
Wish I could give no stars. We have an air bnb in St Thomas but we wanted to stay a night at St John. We booked the 2 bedroom villa. We requested an early check in and they kept up waiting right till 3:50pm before we got a call that the room is ready, regular check in time being 10 mins away. For the next day, we requested a late check out. Just 1/2 hour past check out time is all we asked. They said they will put in the request. Our cards stopped working at 9am. My husband called the lobby and they asked us to come by to get it reactivated. So we went to have breakfast and before going to the lobby. When I went back, they told me that since it's past our checkout time, security will have to accompany is to pick up our stuff from the room. If you want to shell big money for a mediocre stay and be treated like 2nd class citizens, then you are making the right choice!

Yelp
We stayed in the original part of the resort up on the hill. It was very outdated. We had to call housekeeping six times before someone would bring us another blanket. Most of staff was pretty unfriendly. We won't be returning.
