My husband and I were originally disappointed because we booked the wrong Westin hotel, it was not the hotel to which our event is held. However, once I arrived, I meet a wonderful woman at the front desk nameMarie. I walked in sort of deflated because it was me who booked the wrong hotel, and she noticed that I was down and said that she was here to help brighten our day. I’m grateful for the Marie’s of this world. She was kind, attentive, intuitive and intentional in how she encouraged and entreated us. Now I’m happy that I chose to not cancel this reservation, because I might have never met your/our Sweet Marie. I know that she might not ever see this, but she deserves to be celebrated for her exceptional hospitality. We LOVE MARIE!!! Please let her know that she is the BEST THERE IS!!!

This was my first experience at this Marriott location, but it will not be my last! Ms Marie at the front desk made SURE that I will be returning to this location! She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and made sure I reaped all the benefits of being a loyal bonvoy member. I cannot say enough good things about Marie! The breakfast buffet was also one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. So many different options and great customer service. A MUST stay hotel in Tysons! 10/10

I had a wonderful stay at The Westin! From check-in to checkout, everything went smoothly. A special thanks to Marie at the front desk — she was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. She really made me feel at home and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. Truly one of the best receptionists I’ve ever met!

Stayed on Business - closer hotel was fully booked and this was recommended as a backup. Stay was ok until I went to shower and had the largest 3”+ cockroaches come out of the shower area. The front desk wasn’t surprised and didn’t offer any accommodations. I was trying to be discrete and just let them know about the flashing light being out in the bathroom and certainly wasn’t expecting room 203 to be full of cockroaches. I moved to the Hyatt after this and had a bug free stay for the rest of the week! No points, compensation or apology offered by the Westin.

A True Gem – Our Home Away From Home! My husband and I have been coming to The Westin Tysons Corner since we met, and it’s truly our favorite getaway spot. Every stay feels like a mini vacation – rejuvenating, relaxing, and just perfect. The beds are absolutely heavenly — I wish I could take the entire setup home, from the pillows to the blankets to the crisp sheets! The signature Westin scent is invigorating and instantly lifts your mood. The hotel has everything you need: a great restaurant and bar on-site, a clean and well-equipped gym, and very reasonably priced parking. The staff are always kind, welcoming, and professional. The surrounding area is one of the best in Virginia — fantastic malls, amazing food, and a lovely atmosphere. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we’re in the area. Highly recommended!

I had the most amazing front desk experience I’ve had in a very long time. As a business owner who travels often and stays in many hotels, I rarely come across service so exceptional that I take the time to write a review.||Marie Rida was working at the front desk when I went down to ask where I could find a place to get some drinks. She was so helpful that she actually walked me to the right spot. Later, when I came back and was struggling to carry my purchases, she noticed and came over to help. She even walked with me and helped carry everything up to the tenth floor.||When I thanked her, she smiled and said, “It’s my job and I love it.” That line stuck with me. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does, and it shows in the way she treats guests. I even asked for her name because I wanted to make sure she gets the recognition she deserves.||I wish more people in hospitality had her attitude and pride in their work. Marie made a lasting impression and turned an ordinary stay into something memorable.

When I was checking in, the guy that checked me in seems not a front desk in Westin as he was wearing a Deloitte Air Force jacket, and no other people were at the front desk. Thinking of a random person checking my ID makes me feel uncomfortable. The room smells moldy, seems like no one has open it for years. Reminds me of basements. They also didn’t have window to open. You can only clean up the air with very weak AC. The ventilation in bathroom is broken too. When I book it they say the breakfast is included, but when I arrive they said it’s not. And I paid $60 for two people. Parking system is very broken, I see multiple people having trouble leaving the parking garage because they cannot open the gate. Overall a solid 2 star hotel experience. Some other 3 star hotels I’ve been are way better than this. Be cautious when you are considering this hotel.

I checked into The Westin Tysons yesterday and had a few questions that I needed assistance with. I was lucky enough to be helped by Marie, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to answer all of my questions with genuine care. It’s rare to come across someone who makes you feel so welcomed and valued as a guest. Marie is truly awesome! I 100% recommend staying at The Westin Tysons—especially if you have the pleasure of being assisted by Marie! You can tell she truly loves her job and caring for her guests!

Yelp
Well I just realized another reason why I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was, emphasis *was*, more reasonably priced than other similar quality hotels. My last stay's price increased by more than $100/night. Yikes. When I asked at the front desk when checking in about the increase in price, I was told summer is over. I find that to be an odd response. Either way, I will be staying at a new place until I can stay here again for more reasonable rates, which apparently may not be until next summer.

Yelp
I had a 2-night stay at Westin Tysons Corner, which I chose because of its proximity to where I needed to go for meetings during my trip. That being said, lots of good restaurants were nearby and the Dulles International Airport was 20 minutes away. Overall the hotel was fine. The front desk staff, who were super friendly and helpful, were nothing short of amazing. We hung out at the lobby bar a couple of times and especially enjoyed the loungers by the cozy electric fireplace. I liked my room a lot, which was clean and spacious. I did not have comfortable nights of sleep, however, because of their hard pillows. The height of the pillows didn't help either as they cranked up my neck. This hotel is pet-friendly, which is a plus.

Yelp
I did not have a good experience at this hotel. I was staying there with my daughter and her two daughters (ages 1 and 3). They had an event at the hotel and the parking process was not working. Had to make several trips to the front desk to make sure that our car wasn't going to be towed as I could not pay for the parking with their process due to the gates having to be opened for the event. The room was dirty and the floor obviously wasn't swept as we found things on the floor that were left from a previous guest. The comforters were stained. In the morning, there was not hot water to take a shower. The room was free to me with my Mariott points so not sure that is why I was given such a crappy room but I was very disappointed in it. They also advertise a convenience store which was not opened in the evening. Has to puchase milk at the bar for the baby for a total of $8.00 for two cups of milk. The only good thing I have to say is that the front desk people were friendly and the beds were very comfortable.

Yelp
This is still the most affordable and super nice option in the Tysons corner area. The food is stellar, the bartenders are nice and the front desk staff and the valet people are wonderful.. This is my go to spot when I visit my family in the area.

Yelp
I've come to expect a bit more from a Westin. I definitely appreciate the empty fridge in the room, the coffee maker, and the 2 complimentary bottles of water/day. We were staying at this place due to a wedding about 20 minutes from here. In hindsight, we should have stayed in the city; even though the hotel would have cost more, we could have saved a ton of time and money on Ubers to and from the city for sightseeing, eating, etc. Not the hotel's fault, certainly, but there wasn't much in or around the hotel to keep us interested in staying in. The HVAC system was pretty noisy as we tried to keep the room nice and cool for sleeping. As people have said, lots of parking if you do have a car. Gym is open 24/hrs a day and had sufficient free weights and machines (though most of the tvs on the treadmill had no signal). There were also cool towels and a filtered water machine, which was nice. Service was friendly and the price was pretty good.
google avatar

Jim G.

Yelp
The plus... Rates are less than in the city. Fridge in the room. Nice facilities. The rest... Not up to the typical standard of Westin, not bad but the rooms need a little work. Especially the electrical. At least in our room plugs did not work or were so loose the plug would fall out. AC was also extremely loud and disruptive at night. Not bad, not good, but a-ok.

Yelp
1982 called and would like the hotel back yet another westin I'm staying in that has gotten rid of their heavenly beds for cheap ass Beautyrest mattresses just like every other crap hole Marriott yet they still charge $300 a night for this shit. The uncomfortable couch has stains on it as shown in the picture. Ordered in room service becauseits 102 outside and I don't feel like going outside for dinner tonight on my quiet evening. Had a decent looking steak figured it'd be OK. Food wasn't bad. The steak was overcooked for medium rare however room Service delivers it in a paper bag And a cardboard box that the steak and potatoes is in with plastic silverware. the pandemic was three years ago not serving actual room service dishes ispathetic.

Yelp
This was a yikes - and I relied on Expedia reviews to my detriment. Should have jumped right to Yelp. My bad. When I arrived at 9pm on a Saturday evening, there was a medical emergency on the 9th floor, so they had shut down the elevators. When I inquired about using the stairs, the front desk receptionist looked at me like a deer in headlights. I walked to the stair location to find the doors LOCKED. When I came back to the reception desk, I was escorted to the service elevator and essentially left to fend for myself. Total nightmare trying to navigate out from the 3rd floor service area with absolutely no one to guide! Also - their hotel service area is disorganize, covered haphazardly with packages, boxes, cleaning supplies, papers, food and drink wrappers, all manner of junk. It was as if they took no pride in their work. Once I found my way to the hallway, I was transported to the scene in The Shining - you know the one - and I half expected 2 eerie children to be standing at the opposite end. The hotel floors, with the exception of the lobby, were dark and incredibly uninviting. The room itself was good size, and clean in appearance. Upon closer inspection, I found a light in the bathroom was out, the bathtub handle fixture was coming off the wall, the jet part of the shower head was not angled properly so it shot water out all over the bathroom as soon as I turned it on. There were water rings on the sink from lack of proper cleaning solution or towels. The bed was clean, but I have the same issue with almost all pillows and beds at hotels - too soft! It took me FOUR pillows to equate the fluffiness of just 1 normal pillow since they all collapsed as soon as my head hit them (and I'm not overweight by any stretch, nor is my head). They did not offer decaf coffee in the room, but I did appreciate the complimentary bottled water. Refrigerator worked fine. The closet shared a door with the bathroom and was on a barndoor-style roller, so the bathroom did not fully seal closed. And the toilet flushing was SO loud - like jet-engine loud. Ridiculous additional fee for parking, which I expected, but still ridiculous considering they have a large private lot. Would definitely not stay here again!

Yelp
Friendly staff. Helpful. Convenient to DC. Wish they'd replace carpet in rooms with flooring. Dated bathrooms.

Yelp
If I could give this a zero I would. We were quoted a one night stay last night at $269 after quite a runaround about rates and availability. It took almost an hour for check in. Our credit card charge was $528!!! We were not provided a folio either printed or by email. Called today to dispute the charge and the GM said "doesn't matter what you were quoted, this is a valid rate...tough!" Had breakfast in the cafe and the creamer for the coffee was spoiled (think chunky milk) and both "to go" cups leaked. This hotel isn't worth $20 a night, let alone $500!!

Prasad V.

Yelp
The first time I stayed here, my family and I were relocating to the Tyson's and McLean area, my son loves staying at hotels, but there were no suites available to book on the website. I booked a normal room on a high floor. I wanted to try my luck, so I asked is they had any suites available and they said yes, 1107 so we came to our room and there was a big living area and a bedroom and bathroom in the next room. Our stay was amazing but the best part happened In our next stay. Since we loved the hotel we came back and asked if they had room 1107 available, and YES we got the best room there. The staff were so nice. If you get room 1107, you got very lucky :) Bonus points if u find the breakfast lady with Oncloud shoes.

Yelp
First class hotel with professional, helpful and efficient staff; a large, lovely, impeccably clean room and terrific amenities like the exercise facilities. They even take pets!

Yelp
We reached out to a few hotels in the area to book a wedding block of 20+ rooms and Westin was the best offer and also the most detailed approach to this. Many thanks and compliments to Lina Polloso who answered all the questions and helped us with the contract. She was really wonderful to work with. We also appreciated the flexibility with the guests stay where some Guests had emergencies and the hotel was nothing but helpful and courteous. Family members also said front desk was courteous and helped with any requests while they had multiple vents happening at the same time. Also it is a great location and price in Tyson's Corner area. You are close to both malls (Tyson's Corner mall and Tyson's Galleria) and there is a shuttle that goes to the mall. 495 highway is also a few minutes away that makes it about the same distance to IAD and DCA airports.

Yelp
Here now for a planned HS reunion happy hour. One bartender trying to serve so many people so getting a drink takes 40 min. Well at least he is trying. There is a waitress walking around collecting glasses etc and literally pushing people out of her way. She is rude, she stated she's not having a good night and has the meanest look on her face. Horrible customer service

Yelp
We just stayed the night at the Westin and our stay was enjoyable. Check-in was quick and easy. The staff was great and provided excellent service. We would definitely return. Our room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable to sleep in.

Yelp
About 30 of us stayed at this Westin location for my nephew's wedding. We came from Dallas-where everything is bigger and better - so were our expectations for this hotel. Westin is our favorite hotel brand, but this one didn't quite meet our expectations. Majority of the family stayed on the 7th floor, with one exception - one family was on the 8th floor due to one room on the 7th floor first given to us, which smelled like very potent cigarette smoke. We requested a change immediately. First let me start with the pros. Nice and comfy bed and pillows. The front desk staff was courteous. That's all. The cons - 1) Our rooms didn't get serviced. We requested multiple times (to the courteous staff), but the first day our request was not fulfilled. Had to ask multiple times the next day. Some rooms got cleaned, others did not. That went on for the duration of our stay. 2) A horrible incident happened on the day of a big event in the room my niece and her best friend stayed. The sliding bathroom glass door came down - completely shattering. Her friend got hurt on the forehead, but thankfully no other injuries. They immediately notified the front desk. How does this happen? Someone could have seriously gotten hurt! To make matters worse, the staff is blaming them for breaking the glass door. How does a 90-pound girl break a very heavy glass door? I'm floored! 3) The hotel breakfast is at most average for $20 pp. Overall, This hotel needs better upkeep, immediate updates, and better management for the "old" feel for this establishment. There are better options nearby.

Yelp
We used this Westin for our wedding block, and we are so glad we did! The rooms were nice, the staff was excellent, Lina the sales manager went above and beyond and was always willing to help us as we got closer and closer to the actual event day. The front desk staff were excellent and went above and beyond, even getting the bus to take our group to a restaurant that is normally outside the range for free! We have family in the travel industry and they could not stop raving about the service at this hotel, so that just tells you how good the service was!

T T.

Yelp
We called the hotel to book a room for the night. We arrived shortly after 1:30 AM. Standing at the front desk, Syed greeted us. We told him that we had booked the room by phone 10 minutes ago. He said that our phone reservation is not found until after 3 AM. That is ridiculous! Why we were not warned on the phone about any possible delays? So we ended up booking a room directly with Syed, at the desk. We were exhausted and wanted to rest up ASAP. The next morning, we checked out and asked for the final statement. Plus wanted to confirm that we would not be charged for the second room. We told the front desk person (a new person) about the phone reservation and then what Syed told us. He looked into the computer and found no trace of the phone reservation. Plus, he said that there aren't any delays in booking online or by phone. He also said that we were given false information by him, Syed! Are your staff trained? We would never return or book another room with The Westin! Bad service...bad business practices by your staff.

Yelp
When I walked into my room at The Westin Tyson's Corner, I was immediately happy with the room. It seemed clean with modern, sleek, furniture and plenty of surfaces and seating. A nice size room. On first look, the bathroom looked nice but once actually using the bathroom for showering, it could have definitely used some updating and improvements. The staff were all friendly and I did get the text asking how my room was. Usually I do not complain but because something was on my mind, I mentioned it in the text, along with a question about the room. My question was answered very quickly but my complaint wasn't addressed. As I said, I didn't think the issue I had was a huge deal so I didn't pay any mind. When I got to my hotel later that night, there was an apology note with a few snacks. I was surprised but also happy to know that customer service is not dead. 4.5/5 - Comfortable bed, modern atmosphere, friendly staff and great customer service.

Yelp
This review is for the restaurant. OMGOODNESS if you haven't eaten at this restaurant you are missing out on some of the best food OF YOUR LIFE!!! Walk, jog, RUN!!! So amazing

Yelp
I stopped by the front desk on Saturday morning and asked if they would send maintenance to my room to address slow bathtub drain. imagine my surprise when a maintenance worker knocked on my door at midnight. I mentioned this to the front desk attendant this morning and he could not have cared less.

Yelp
I had a good experience at this hotel. The lobby and room is up to date and modern. The bed was comfy and everything felt clean. It's in a convenient location close to the mall and restaurants.
google avatar

Yelp
Updated rooms and a convenient location. Wish Marriott would give complimentary parking for top tier elites, especially when amenities like a lounge is not available. Stayed here for a work trip and was impressed at the overall comfort. They were doing some renovations on my floor and as I had an afternoon meeting, I was in the room during the morning trying to prepare. Unfortunately, the noise was a little too much to bear for me. Ate at the restaurant one morning and the service was a tad too slow for my liking as I didn't want to have the buffet style breakfast. Still a solid place and with a few tweaks, it would be great.
google avatar

Yelp
This is probably the worst Westin I've stayed at. At first blush, the lobby looked nice, not glamorous or welcoming like other hotels I've stayed at, but decent. I was greeted quickly and checked in. My room was 305, and I made my way to the room. It was obviously that it hadn't been refurbished recently...not enough outlets, cheap furniture. The room was also miserably hot. When I checked the temperature it was 77. I ended up turning the heat off and turning the ac on. When I looked outside my window, I was overlooking an open area with lots and lots of lights that shone all night. Ugh. I tried and tried to make the room dark, to no avail. The bed was uncomfortable. The mattress was clearly old. The breakfast buffet was sad...I ended up just having a piece of toast and fruit. Every time I left my room my key wouldn't work. I was constantly at the front desk getting it fixed. The parking lot is awkward and dark, and if you are arriving at night, the hotel is hard to find. Not a nice hotel...not a nice stay.

Yelp
Spent a night in a standard King suite. While the king suite was tighter than I had expected, it was efficiently laid out with ample lighting, charging docks, and and shelves. A couple of surprises were the minimal closer space in the very narrow hallway and the lack of a proper desk and table lamp (a movable table was available but it was comparable to a table for a tv dinner), so I would not recommend this suite for business travel. The hotel otherwise is nice - good restaurant on site, Starbucks available on weekdays and weekends, close to highway.

Yelp
As a parent of a son who has a severe food allergy. this hotel went into my room threw away my son's shirt and $125 worth of food that I spent prior to my checkout. the staff has no regard for my issue. they are all poorly trained. btw I am a titantium elite member. DO NOT STAY HERE. it's infested with roaches btw. not clean and they never clean your room. this hotel does not deserve the Westin name.

Yelp
An OK choice for staying in the Tysons area. Rooms are basic Westin rooms and the beds are really nice. Seems like maybe it was another hotel that was bought and refurbished into a Westin. Weird, dark parking lot that is not very customer friendly. Had to wait in line about 5 minutes before I could get checked in even though I had done the mobile check-in. Front desk told me I had been "upgraded" due to Titanium status but I didn't see anything special at all about my room (didn't get my king bed preference and instead got two queen beds and it was a standard room with no special view or anything). I was too tired to complain. Would prefer that they just tell me an upgrade wasn't available. On the good side (besides the awesome bed) - I arrived around 9:30 p.m. wanting dinner and was relieved that not only was food still available but the sushi bar was still open. It was good and very reasonably priced - especially for DC area prices. Location is also good.

Yelp
Post covid update Way less service than pre covid such as no breakfast, no shuttle and no room service, which is understandable. One night we lost power from 9pm to the next day afternoon due to a storm. There was no announcement during the blackout or anything from the hotel the next day, which was quite disappointing as it was highly inconvenient for guests. I would still stay there because of its location and its proximity to where i need to be, and the rooms are quite comfortable. I was slightly disappointed at the service level.

Yelp
I stayed here on a business trip when 1 night turned into 2. The staff is incredibly hospitable and are very aware of how to cater to business travelers. I checked out the Manager's reception which is randomly only on a Tuesday. It was in one of the conference rooms that are to the left of the main lobby. It was a small room but nicely setup with a plethora of warm, room temp and cold snacks. Unfortunately, none of the warm snacks were vegetarian friendly, but there were some other snacks that kept my snack prow was at bay. They even had quizzes you could complete and be entered in a drawing for reward points. But they make the drawing at a later time and let you know if you won. They even had a table with a solid selection of wines. The room is small so it's easy to socialize if you want with a mix of tables and high tops. Many people came on their own or in pairs or groups. There was a good mix and plenty of food and drink. The breakfast buffet and service is fantastic. You can't leave their hungry, it's setup well with variety of breakfast favorites and even healthy options. It is both a sit down service and buffet! The room was modern and clean and the cleaning service always did a great job of tidying up. This will be my go to for my next business meeting in the Tyson's area.

Yelp
Hotel is clean and safe. Some areas are a bit out date. King bed is comfortable. Very specious. Rooms have refrigerators. Check in was a breeze

Yelp
I almost always stay at Marriott, sure the points are nice, but they have great beds, are clean and tend to have excellent staff. This one is no exception. I got in from a late flight, I was cranky, hungry, and had just driven a crowded dark raceway called GW Parkway! When they come around the desk to hand you the keycard, look you in the eye and say welcome...worth every penny. I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
This hotel has been one of the many older Tysons establishments that I often stayed at. The location and abundant parking is definitely one of the pluses of staying here. The rooms themselves are on the older side, but they are relatively spacious and as expected in a Westin hotel - the beds are quite comfortable. The service here is somewhat spotty. A request for a bathrobe and some slippers took a long time and multiple follow-up calls to confirm (after an hour long wait). The hotel has a decent lobby area and bar as well. While I would definitely recommend the new Hyatt that recently opened up by the mall as the first option for travelers, this place isn't a bad second choice for anyone who's in town.

Yelp
COVID-19 Review: This location couldn't be more convenient. Right off the beltway. Not sure what the parking situation is normally (I think valet only), but in COVID-19, you could park in Valet Only spaces at no charge. During the pandemic, they're not offering any food services, but they had their little vending area open. And the gym. Check-in was easy and contact-free. My room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Refrigerator in the room. No complaints whatsoever.

Yelp
Two great stays in 30 days. The bar makes a great Old Fashion. The Wagyu burgers for lunch are awesome too. Worth the stay to see shows at Wolf Trap.

Yelp
Good, clean hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. Disappointed that there was no room service and the lobby Starbucks had very limited hours. Also the bathroom fixtures were in disrepair - T.P. holder falling out of the wall, bubbling paint & plaster around shower area, old tub painted over too many times. But a nice double showerhead with hose/sprayer. Adequate for business travel but nothing fancy. Overall a good no-frills visit.

Yelp
Wedding venue review: about 3.5 I was attending a wedding here and I'm really glad that it was here. Because the food was outrageously good! I want to have my last meal done by the chef here please. The steak was juicy and the potatoes they served was the most delicious juicy little babies I ever had. Their staff was really good with holding the crowd down. They served dinner in the fastest and most efficient way possible that I ever seen be done at a wedding. The venue itself is ok for a wedding but I think if you have a large group it wouldn't be ideal. If your throwing a small wedding this spot is perfect or if you want to throw a birthday, grad party, etc. One issue I had that really can be bothersome is that guests go through the venue area so you might have random guests scattered around the venue area halls. Personally that annoys me if your having a private event and random people are walking in their pjs. One guy almost tried getting into the private venue hall. This is a major problem that they need to address. Overall I think this is a nice spot for having a event especially it's location is in a deserted part of the Tyson's area.

Yelp
We live about an hour away and like to enjoy date night in the Tyson's or DC areas and usually grab the best deals we can find on Marriott properties and for this staycation, we chose this property. Checking in was smooth and very professional. The guy who checked us in explained the parking, housekeeping, etc to us and checked us in very swiftly. He was very friendly. The room looked decent and comfy. The bed was very comfy and Westin towels are great! The TV worked perfectly (sleep timers usually can be problematic in hotels, but not in this room, it worked perfect). The room was rather clean, but definitely could have been cleaner, as attention to detail in keeping it clean was lacking. Regarding the property, the elevators were quick and worked well. The attention to detail in keeping the property spic & span was lacking (I mean it was clearly obvious that one of the ceiling windows in the lobby was completely shattered, yet was still there... Why hasn't it been replaced?). The day we arrived, there was a very nasty, sulfur smell on our floor too, but fortunately this was gone when we returned to the room a few hours after checking in. Overall, it was a decent stay and I could see staying here again.

Yelp
This is my second time staying at this location and I have been disappointed each time. This time we had a suite booked to entertain guests and when we called to confirm the room was arranged the day before, we were rushed off the phone and told all was confirmed. Low and behold, when we got to the hotel, we ended up in a regular room and this room is so cramped we are tripping over each other and the furniture. The bed was great but the AC is terrible. If you like it cold, do NOT book a room here. Rooms do not get colder than around 75. Too hot for us. Worst Westin I have stayed in and I have been to many. Shame.

Yelp
3 stars= average hotel Pros: - It is a Westin (well, more on that in a minute.......) - Lobby is updated/decent - Room was a good size/clean Cons: - Average! - Nothing special - Over $200+/night (rip-off, ie- let me take advantage of business travelers!) So this is a Westin, LOL! According to Wiki: "Westin Hotels and Resorts is Starwood's largest upscale hotels and resorts brand".....and what should be added to the Wiki page is excluding Tyson's Corner. Would I stay again? No thanks.......

Yelp
The absolute worst Westin I have ever stayed at. 0/10 do not recommend this location. Even if the room was free, I still wouldn't stay here. My entire family and I stayed here for 4 days for a family wedding. Very unfortunately, as we were getting ready for the wedding event, a terrible incident occurred in my room. The bathroom door (which was glass) completely shattered on my friend, who I was sharing a room with. The glass sprayed all through the room, and even near me, when I was on the opposite side of the bathroom. My friend was injured on the forehead while friends and family members in other rooms on the same floor all heard a loud crash, rushing outside our room, calling out our names to see if we were ok. As I was helping her clean up her bloody wound, another family member called the front desk to get immediate assistance up to our floor. One of the managers came up, offered to switch us to another room if we wanted (yeah, no crap I need to be shifted to another room.) And he said that this has never happened in the history of this hotel. As we went downstairs to file a report with the manager, one of the other hotel employees slipped up and said the same exact incident happened the prior week with a group that was staying at the hotel. So clearly, the manager had lied to us about "this never happening before." Weeks later the staff is calling us and blaming us for breaking the glass door. Please let me know how a ~95lb girl is able to pick up and smash a HUGE glass door? I'm no scientist but I don't think that is physically possible to do. Matter of fact, who even has time for that right before leaving for a wedding? I sure don't. I could go on and on about how few to none of our rooms got cleaned for the 4 days we were staying there (even after asking the staff to send housekeeping up,) how multiple rooms had other issues in there, how we asked for non-smoking rooms but one of them clearly was smoked inside of. But I think this sums up the frightful and traumatizing experience we had.

Yelp
Maybe if they get enough one star reviews, they'll fix the damn AC! I've stayed here over the years, and while it's a decent hotel, the AC does not work. Review after review after review comments on the fact that the AC does not work. I write this at 5 AM in the morning sweltering in my room.

Yelp
Business Venue Event: I came to this hotel for a business function on a Saturday morning. My company has been using this venue for the past year for their company events. The hotel is located off of 495/Leesburg Pike. It's really easy to locate and enter the hotel premises. In the past, the parking was free and now they have paid parking lot. I've seen people park across the street or nearby to avoid paying the parking. There are tow signs posted all over the area. It is at your own risk. I recommend to park at the hotel and most likely they will give you a discount rate for parking if you are there for an event. Just go to the front desk and ask them about it. The conference room can hold a lot of ppl depending on the function. I've seen the room hold about 500-1500 people and the set up is nice. The chairs are comfortable and they have water coolers throughout the room. The conference provides standard Starbucks coffee with cream and sugar, and also hot tea. If you prefer a more fancy drink, they do have a Starbucks barista and pastries to purchase. Additionally, there are two locations for the restrooms. Every time I pass the front desk or any hotel staff, they greet you with a smile. Overall my experience has been positive.

Yelp
I assumed because this hotel was in a nice part of town, it would be an adequate place to stay. I was not satisfied with my stay at all. Upon check-in, some random guy was standing at the front entrance smoking marijuana. I requested a crib for my newborn and they brought my something that reminded me of a bed from the 1960's mental asylum. The room looks nothing like the photos. Carpets are dirty, the elevators are tiny so we took the stairs and the stairwells look similar to what you'd find in the New York City slums (mold, mildew, hot, dark, and scary). We also had to pay $10 for parking (not included in stay). Definitely not worth the $100+. Better off staying at a cheap Motel 6.

Yelp
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. Pros: Comfortable bed and nice amenities. Very good customer service in resolving issues. Cons: A/C is weak during the summer months and turns off in the room when you leave. I have had issues in the past with room / room service mixups.

Yelp
I'm here for a business trip and my company uses this location often to host events. So I thought it would be a good experience since we're regular clients. Nope. Don't waste your money. The accommodations are nice but nothing special. They nickel and dime everything. Internet is $5 for slow service $10 for regular speed. $10 per night for parking, there is no free parking. $100 hold for incidentals. Frankly, these aren't extraordinary things I'm asking for. Internet should be included in the $200 per night cost. Might as well have stayed closer to the mall where I could enjoy myself. This place is off the highway and you need to take a shuttle to get to the mall or drive and get charged for parking twice.

Yelp
This is a good hotel in what appears to be in middle of the boonies but since the airport is a 15 minute cab ride from Dulles and that most people who work in DC live in the burbs this is NOT in middle of nowhere. I was here for three days for a conference. The staff was really helpful and when I requested that the building engineer lower the thermostat in the main meeting room because people were shvitzing (sweating in yiddish) The food was catered by the westin and it was very tasty. The food in their lounge is ok but not that bad that you will have to have a egg salad sandwich...Who loves gas station food? say I :) The hotel had a free shuttle to the Tysons Corner Galleria mall 1 and 2. Also when you first walk in the area that is just to the right of the front desk is a small place in the hall that serves sushi...It's pretty good and it's very fresh. I saw them making it in front of me. It does not get any better then that.. The room was very good. My only complaint is that the computersl froze in the business center and it appeared that whoever was there before me was downloading a virus..it asked me if I wanted to continue downloading...HECK NO..This is just something to mull over if you ever plan a cyber security meeting. Given that this is not so far away from DIA HQ near Dulles it's not so far fetched.

Yelp
Great amenities and good customer service make this hotel a great lodging option for out of town guests or locals who need a staycation. My hubby chose this as our hotel for wedding guests and my "getting ready" photos. If you are a Starwood premier member, you'll be treated to a very spacious suite on the 10th floor, with sleek furniture and the most comfortable king size bed of your life. I slept like a log on the night before my wedding and I attribute my restful night to the exhausting day before the wedding combined with the Westin's plush and comfy beds. The bathrooms are filled with all the necessary toiletries, including a disposable shower cap and bottles of body lotion. The shower has more than one bottle of shampoo and body wash, so they're very generous. The suite that I stayed in also had a flatscreen in each room. Nice. The only knock: no wooden hangers in our suite (not ideal for delicate clothing and/or picture taking). They do provide thick terrycloth robes for guests (wonderful if you forgot your pajamas or need to quickly answer the door while already undressed). The hotel as a whole smelled fresh and clean. There was no mustiness. They have a nice lounge near the reception desk and serve up Starbucks coffee during the day. Being conveniently located off the beltway, Westin Tysons is an ideal place to spend the night if you're heading to Maryland, DC, or other parts of northern Virginia. Its proximity to Tysons Corner shopping mall, which has become a tourist attraction of its own, is a plus for the mall rats and shopping fiends in your life (or you). Though I stayed on an "elite" floor, I heard that other rooms were very comfortable and nice, too, though not as spacious as our suite. The people at the front desk, the first people you'll deal with when you enter the hotel, are efficient and friendly. My person couldn't stop saying thank you and wishing me a good stay. All good signs. For business or pleasure, Westin Tysons is a great lodging option in northern Virginia.

Yelp
You can be sure to enjoy all the amenities you come to expect at any Westin here at Tyson's Corner: the Heavenly Bed with the lavender balm bedside, White Tea Heavenly bath amenities, decent workspace with outlets at the desk and bedside, runWESTIN with area running maps. The Westin Tyson's also has a convenient shuttle for pickup/dropoff at Tyson's Metro and Tyson's Mall/Galleria. Service is also cordial and attentive - from check-in to check-out. What would make Westin Tyson's Corner even better would be a refresh of the rooms, in my opinion. Weary business and leisure travelers want to feel at home when they enter their room after a long day of work or travel. - Approaching my room on the 9th floor, the paint on my door was visibly peeling. - The interior light of the coat closet would not turn off because when closed, the door didn't make contact with the light switch. - It took me a while to order in-room dining -- not because no one answered, but because when I pressed "Service Express" on the phone (to order room service, housekeeping, the front desk, etc.) the call wouldn't go through and would give a busy signal. Fed up after 10 minutes of trying, I dialed '0' and apparently, that was the number for "Service Express." - The refrigerator-looking object in the room is actually a 'refreshment center' and not a refrigerator. Huh? (probably best used for medication that needs to be kept cool, but not cold) - I wanted to browse the featured movies, but the hi-tech remote wasn't configured to 'page-up' or 'page-down' to browse the movie choices. I'm a platinum preferred SPG fanboy and think that improvements to these small details would make a big difference.

Yelp
Stayed here last night. Was a very clean and quiet hotel, my room was great. I stayed on the 7th fl away from the elevators. Bad points; the housekeeping lady walked in on me while I was getting dressed. The hotel was gracious and provided me with breakfast, which was appreciated and wasn't required! The best points; the management here is absolutely spectacular! I overheard water issues in a room, my debacle and they were very hospitable and empathetic. Starbucks was full serve like a traditional storefront, offers sandwiches, fresh fruit and such. I'd come here again.
