The Wharf Hotel Wynyard

We had a delicious meal at the pub tonight! I haven’t eaten here for a long time and the meals were 10/10. Steak cooked to perfection and amazing Parmi! Very accomodating with our 2 year old with colouring books. Waitress staff were very lovely. We will definitely be back.

Had dinner here. I asked the waitress to confirm if the garlic prawn dish was with farmed prawns or wild cooked prawns. She came back with the answer that they were wild caught. Unfortunately they were farmed. This should be indicated on the menu. I would have happily made another choice. Farmed prawns taste inferior. Disappointed in the false information.

Booked a room for 2 night over the phone the guy was so nice, when we arrived we felt like we were important (not just anyone) check in was easy. Room is good, ( could do with a teatowel to dry up cups etc) Had meals both nights and meals were to die for. A big thankyou to everyone that works at THE WHARF HOTEL WYNYARD. Our stay has been wonderful.

What a lovely pub. Not overly flash looking but made up for it with excellent staff. Our order was slightly delayed through an issue with extraction fans in kitchen not working as expected. The staff spoke with us about problem as they had to open some windows and doors on a cold night. We had jackets so fine by us. Soon our meals arrived and I was blown away by the size and taste of my chicken schnitty with mignon topping absolutely delicious. Wife had seafood chowder and she demolished the bowl. 5 star meals. Bar service was also very quick. Very happy travellers.

We stayed at the Wharf last night. The reception was excellent, the rooms were clean and presentable. Lovely updated bathrooms. Maybe need an extra chair ( 2 people but only one chair) and a bedside lamp but would recommend this hotel.

I highly recommend this pub. The food is scrumptious, especially the steak and the food portions are very generous . The staff are super friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back for another yummy feed.

We haven’t been here in a while but since then the food has changed so much!! We were served by beautiful staff this evening and although having to wait a bit (Father’s Day understandable) our meals were perfect!! Thankyou so much your service, staff and food are exceptional 🫶🫶
