This is such a cool place and we will definitely return when back in Port Alfred! The staff were so attentive and friendly, it felt like we were visiting old friends. The building is a treat on its own, with a must-see downstairs area that carries a lot of history. The food was without a doubt the highlight of our visit, the chips, the pizza (would 100% recommend the biltong one) the mussels, everything was superb. Overall 10/10 😁👍.

Excellent service. Great food irrespective what you choose on the menu. Wow atmosphere is so welcoming and warm. Best restaurant in Port Alfred. Recommend to anyone that needs a break whether private function, corporate or just need me time.

We had an espatada and it was amazing. Will definitely go back. The service was great as well, thanx to our waitress ‘Thula’ and the owner himself. Ps….thank you for the lovely free salad😉

The crew will welcome you and make sure you’re well looked after while you enjoy some drinks and hear a bit about the building’s history. The food is top notch, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair. Highly recommended. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great looking decor, i enjoyed looking at the large reprints of the old historical photos on the walls. There is lots of historical evidence in the surrounding towns, and the building fits in. Staff was friendly and helpful, good selection of beer, including the exceptional craft beer on tap from next door. The pork Belly main course appeared smaller than the 300 gram portion, the crackling was tough as shoe leather. Maybe the other dishes are good?

Such a lovely authentic pub with a warm fire going. The staff is so friendly and the beer comes straight ice cold from the brewery next. Would def visit again :)
