The Wharf Street Pub and Grill

I came from Europe and, together with three friends, discovered a truly remarkable restaurant in South Africa. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, with attentive and professional staff. The food was excellent, full of flavor and refinement, and the selected wine perfectly complemented the experience. A place where genuine hospitality and quality are felt from the very first moment. Highly recommended for special evenings and memorable culinary experiences with friends.

Had such a fantastic time at this bar and restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the vibe was spot on—fun, lively, and welcoming. Our waiter Dylan really made the experience special with his friendly and attentive service. On top of that, Raymond went above and beyond—an absolute legend who made us feel right at home. With service this good and such a great atmosphere, I’ll definitely be coming back again!

We had the pork ribs and the eisbein with various beers. The porter was tasty and the food was fall off the bone good. The definition of finger licking good. It was so good, we are planning to return tomorrow.

This pub and grill has a lekker vibe. The standout for me was the beer tasting. A well-curated selection of 4 beers with something for everyone. Shout out to our cool waiter Tristan!

A must visit when you are in Port Alfred. Excellent service, great selection of drinks, brilliant atmossphere and tasty food. Dominic is an excellent waiter - knowledgeable and helpful.

Great service, food and such a lekker vibe! Had the eisbein, it was incredible! Proper pub food! Dom, as well as all other staff were so friendly and welcoming!

Great venue, my destination point when in Port Alfred. Great ambience, excellent service from the staff, bar well stocked with my favourite whisky Benriach 12yo also available. Had various meals on different occasions, all well priced and very tasty. Big thumbs up to Sandra and her team!

Really nice place to eat and hand out in Port Alfred. Ask for Tristan, he's a character and makes the meal fun.
