"I found The Wheatsheaf a traditional inn in Salisbury housed in a 19th‑century building with free parking and a pub downstairs—handy if you're visiting Stonehenge." - Matthew Kepnes

Arrived here after a three hour walk on all trails. We were both in need of something sweet and was pleased to find there’s a selection of coffee and cakes and also a desert menu! We ordered Eton Mess and sticky toffee pudding which was hands down the best we’ve ever tried. Impressed by the delicious sweets we decided to stay and have a light late lunch (available Monday to Friday until 5pm) so ordered a smoked salmon sandwich and a pulled mushroom bagel. The atmosphere in the garden was relaxed with some mellow background music and chat. I would thoroughly recommend a visit here. We loved it and will return.

Lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing. We had a large group that was easily accommodated and every single thing we ordered was truly enjoyed. We tried several items on the menu and everything was fresh and presented beautifully. Will definitely be back if we’re in the area again

stopped here for lunch on a cold, rainy day after a visit to Stonehenge. It could not have been more welcoming, cheery, and warm. we had the beef cheeks with potatoes and the mushroom celeriac risotto. Both redone to perfection It seems like all of the crowd is local; or at least not tourists from the states We could not have been more pleased

Awesome pub with an amazing beer garden. Always a welcome break after a hard morning fishing the chalk streams!! Thanks for the bag of wood - we were kept warm over firelight and stories of old.

We went to try the roast as have eaten from the normal weekly menu several times but we're disappointed with the pricing structure. £21 for a meat roast but then you have to pay extra for the veg, extra for toasties, extra for cauliflower cheese. However we had something else from the menu that we hadn't tried before and as usual was delicious. Hubby had fish and chips, great portions and super tasty 8/10. I had a veggie tart with rosemary new potatoes and a side salad. Absolutely delicious but could of done with the salad being slightly bigger as run out before I had finished the other items 9/10. We love the atmosphere and food at the Wheatsheaf.

My burger was ok however it was over cooked and bun burnt so a tad disappointed but my partners pie and his mother’s gluten free tart meals were really nice. Young tall chap very nice and did most of the work whilst lady and I guess the manager just stood at the till chatting most of the time we were there. Had pint of coke asked for no ice which it came with when said about it lady with shaved head and long ponytail gave attitude when stated I asked for no ice or slice, she went away and came back with the drink but wasn’t a full pint so clearly just removed the ice and slice and considering £4.25 for a pint which you don’t actually get is disgusting. For me just a massive shame. Also a 10% automatic service charge is added. No check back if everything was ok.

Found looking for food after visiting Stonehenge. Cozy nice pub. We got Sunday Roast (3 type to choose from) and it was great. Good beer selections too.

Great stop for a pint and lunch. Many choices on the menu. We had the pork belly, which was excellent! Casear salad, fish and chips, and chicken also good choices. Nice space inside with lots of seating. Plenty of outdoor seating. The servers were very friendly.
