The White Horse Brancaster Staithe

We came to celebrate my wife’s birthday and absolutely loved our experience. The food was delicious and the customer service was outstanding from start to finish. We truly felt welcomed and looked after. A very thoughtful touch was finding a birthday card on the table when we arrived, which made the occasion even more special. Thank you for helping make my wife’s birthday so memorable. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We went here for a family meal before Christmas. We have been wanting to come here for a while as the reviews were good. We were not disappointed. The seafood is stunning. We had two sharing platters between 4 of us (2 adults and 2 teenage boys) it was delicious. Very fresh, locally sourced seafood and fish served on a huge platter with as much sourdough bread as you want (freshly baked on site I believe?) There is also a very comprehensive wine list. Get a window seat if possible and you have a beautiful view of the sea as you eat. It gets very busy in summer time so you would need to book but its well worth it. Price wise it's a bit higher than normal but I believe it to be fair based on the cuisine and service. All the staff were nice and friendly too.

I had a lovely morning here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was just perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home, even with our puppy in tow. We enjoyed a simple but tasty breakfast in the bar area, which set the day off beautifully. Everything from the food to the atmosphere was spot on, and I couldn't have asked for a better start to our special day. Highly recommend!

The location is stunning, the food is excellent, the bar has very good ales and wines, but most of all the service is always oustanding. This is a truely professionally run establishment where ALL of the Staff make you feel very welcome and continue to ensure you have a superb time there. We had a fabulous time at The White Horse as part of a long weekend break in the area, and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A very memorable day. Thank you to everyone at The White Horse.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location with direct access to the marshes and ‘coastal’ footpath.|The staff were all extremely welcoming, friendly and efficient.|The use of Christmas pictures and cute Christmas cushions ( in our room) added to the festive feel of the hotel.|We stayed in room 11 which has a Juliette balcony and looks out across the wetlands to the coast. It comes with a telescope for great up close viewing of the wildlife.|The usual tea and coffee options,|crisp clean linens and towels. Basic toiletries but all in all everything required for a comfortable stay. |The restaurant served a great choice of seafood as well as various other options.|Our choice of locally smoked salmon, so much better than anything you buy in a shop! and scallops was perfect. The sea bream to follow was also perfect. |Sadly they only had one night available but would happily return. For us going off season was ideal. In the summer months it would be extremely busy due to its perfect setting.

We had the best time at The White Horse. The three of us could not have asked for a better stay. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly, accommodating and great fun, and the location was perfect right by the beach. A huge shoutout to Nathan and Tiff, who were absolutely fantastic and made our stay even better. Also a thank you to the young chap at the bar (we didn’t catch his name). Lovely rooms, excellent service and such a warm atmosphere. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to come back.!

Bar. The two of us. With dog. Warm welcome. Food was wonderful and the staff were brilliant. Attentive and friendly. Get oysters. Enjoy the wonderful seafood. Have a lot of food ( nothing is less than good ) Above all else then have coffee and have many more relaxed drinks in the lounge area afterwards. Watch the staff who appear to love working there. Been once before in the restaurant which was really lovely as well. The service tip top. I hope the owners appreciate the employees who make the place. Sue they do.

I stopped by the pub after an evening walk on the weekend for a cup of coffee. This was my second visit, and over the past three years, some pleasant changes have taken place. The place is very popular with locals, so be prepared for a queue on weekends. I ordered a latte — the coffee was tasty, the staff were friendly, and the tableware was clean. The venue is child- and dog-friendly, and it feels comfortable and safe, even when visiting solo. There is parking nearby, which is very convenient. I really like this place and would recommend it.
