Stayed here for a long weekend for an international Motocross event at the nearby track, stunning Hotel, lovely staff, great breakfast food, great evening food too, service excellent, and the room we had was a mini suite with microwave, fridge, sink etc., shower excellent and spotlessly clean, well done to Lucas and staff, and a hidden bonus is a distillery in the basement dating from the 13th Century, with a lovely gift shop too, and a lovely picturesque town too

Nice people, clean and simple rooms, good local food. The historical hotel building themed around its most famous sevenfold visitor, the paintings, and the beautiful surroundings make it a must-have-seen.

This hotel has been welcoming guests to this unbelievably photogenic town since 1899. It occupies a prime location right on the town square with on street parking (very cheap) in front.||||We were greeted by Hiliarijus Ribikauskas, the hotel manager. He was the most welcoming, helpful and friendly member of hotel staff we met during our self-driving tour of the Czech Republic. He spoke excellent English and could not have been more charming. Hiliarijus was the only person who offered to help with our bags the entire fortnight.||||Whilst the rooms are functional rather than luxurious, they are more than adequate for a short stay. You can choose between viewing the pretty town centre or a view out the back overlooking the river valley that surrounds this beautiful town. Ours had an lovely view of the castle – magical when illuminated at night!||||The hotel has recently been refurbished so that, at least for the moment, the restaurant only serves breakfast. This was a shame as there is now no access to the shaded terrace seen on their website. Breakfast was very good and judging from the number of guests we saw there this hotel is deservedly popular. ||||A well run and efficient hotel. A joy to visit.

We were there only for breakfast, but it was so nice, delicious and the staff was excellent.||We came at 10:00 and asked if the breakfast is possible, yes of course said the lady. On the door was written that the breakfast is served till 10:00. We asked before in other few hotels on the square, and the answers were not very professional...||The restaurant where the breakfast is served is very charming place with a great view to the romantic square. All the food was fresh and tasty, the lady brought also some fruit in small bags as a snack for our children. We were very nicely surprised, how beautiful the morning in Loket thanks this amazing breakfast was.||Thank you very much for your kindness. We will come back, and we will be pleased to recommend you.

The Bily Kun is a hotel with great history. Goethe dined on the terrace overlooking the river. Today the BK is a well managed family hotel. We enjoyed a very spacious 3 bed family room which was great value at €82 for 3 people inclusive of breakfast. The rooms are functional and very clean although not luxurious.||Free wifi in the lounge and restaurant area, cabled internet in the rooms.||Sadly we could not sample the restaurant because the kitchen was overloaded with two pre booked groups and the head waiter said that it would be impossible to prepare additional meals when such big groups were booked in. However this is not an issue in Loket since there are a number of other restaurants and a fine local brewery to choose from.

If you are heading to Western Bohemia, to see the spas or the film fest in Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad), you will definitely visit Loket. Monumental castle above the river is beautiful. And it is also good idea to stay in Loket and make one-day trips, the hotel is directly on the main square, few steps from restaurants, small city is quiet, so you don't have to be afraid. The parking was also not a problem. Above average breakfasts, spacious room, only the bathroom would need some renovation.

Though our contemporary room did not make the most of the history of this gracious hotel, it was extremely clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. Service was very welcoming, and extra pillows were supplied for our comfort. Breakfast was very good.
