Update as of May 31, 2025: I look forward every summer to dine here during my visits to the Wellfleet area. The service and food continue to exceed expectations with attentive and friendly servers. On this visit, the food highlights were: the Sole entree with a smooth spectacular buerre blanc; the kitchen changed my favorite sherry sauce on their mussels to a tomato chorizo sauce that is worthy alternative…I still though miss the sherry version and I wish they offered choice of the sauce; and the chocolate mousse dessert - so smooth and creamy like chocolate pudding and fudge had a baby, and the best thing I love about their desserts is they continue to be perfectly balanced - not overly sweet with subtle savory notes and textural accents (nuts)!!! Another notable change this time around is their cocktails have improved for the better: the Espresso Martini was superb and the Margarita was finally well balanced and smooth (so hard to get right!). Overall, more fabulous food and service at one of my favorite restaurants. Update as of June 28, 2024: Consistently amazing! Service is excellent! The Mussels continue to be the standout dish. The lobster gnocchi is very good with the gnocchi like pillows. We tried their desserts this time and what a nice surprise to have desserts - the chocolate cake and sesame ice cream - that are savory and sweet, loved them. The chef changed the sauce on the Skate to a red pepper sauce but we prefer the pot pie sauce. I added more photos of the delicious food!!! We cleaned our plates. Original (first) review: New owners and new menu! We liked and enjoyed the previous version of this restaurant and we are so happy the new version is excellent! The food is very delicious. Highlights were the Steamed Mussels, Roasted Skate and the Smoked Half Chicken. We can’t wait to return and try more dishes on the menu! They are still working out the kinks with new staff - there were little slip-ups here and there - and new reservation system so patience and understanding is needed.

Made me enjoy eating out again! Eating out has gotten so expensive, often the food and service are just OK. Happy to say Wicked Oyster had outstanding food and service. We loved the fresh menu, our service was genuine, and we liked the seating options (indoor, out or bar). We also sat and finished our drinks in the seating area. Not inexpensive, but the food was worth it.

Dining at The Wicked Oyster was truly special. From start to finish, this experience was impressive. The food was innovative and delicious. The portions were just right to enjoy the incredible flavor pairings. Presentation of the food and the service we were given, excellent. What a jewel in dining right here in Wellfleet. Thank you so much.

My sister and I went here for dinner and we loved everything from the food, staff and atmosphere. We were greeted by a big smile from the hostess who seated us promptly, not long after our server came by to ask for our water preferences and tell us about the specials. She was very professional and detailed with her descriptions. We placed our drink order, I got the smoke and mirrors (excellent mezcal margarita)and my sister doesn’t drink but they made her a mocktail she loved. We ordered the warm focaccia to nibble on before figuring out our meals and oh my goodness- BEST focaccia ever. Had to hold ourselves back. We almost ordered more to go. One of the owners, Sebastian, came by to personally check on how our experience was going. Very genuine and lovely person. Second app: We got the heirloom tomato salad and it was just as refreshing as we were hoping. Full of flavor and perfect texture. Entrees: I ordered the pan fried sole: I’m picky about sole dishes because they can often be overcooked or too battered. This was perfectly balanced. I’m also very very picky on the sauces usually paired, the lemon caper beurre it came with was phenomenal. Definitely will be ordering it again next time. My sister got the rib eye (I think it was a special? Not sure) she loved it! It was melt in your mouth and not all fat where you only get a bit of edible meat. Of course I tried some, very flavorful and carefully prepared. Everything I saw being brought out looked amazing, beautiful presentation and made me want to order more. Clearly a lot of thought and passion put into each dish. My only regret is that I didn’t order dessert, I certainly plan on it next time because they all sounded delicious. Kudos to the new owners and staff! We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit!

We had a fantastic meal last night at The Wicked Oyster in Wellfleet. We’d been here in previous years and thought we knew what to expect (an excellent meal). What we didn’t expect was under new ownership/management/executive chef it was even better than we remembered. We sat at the bar and service was kind, prompt, engaging and helpful. We ended up eating appetizers which were substantive and phenomenal. The beet salad (with pistachios, tahini dressing and pickled onions) was the best we’ve ever tasted. The oysters, while out of season, were a briny, ocean flavored kind of deliciousness. Wellfleet oysters are hard to beat. I couldn’t resist ordering the thinly sliced coppa with evoo (which, being married to a vegetarian I knew I’d be finishing alone). The housemade focaccia, the little gem salad (with Parmesan and hazelnuts) were on point. The seared scallops (which sat atop a corn and shellfish sauce “relish”) were perfectly seared on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside. We had no room for dessert but upon our return the Basque cheesecake with saffron peach compote is certainly on the table. The use of fresh and available ingredients (sourced from Chatham Bars Farm), including interesting garnishes like marigold fronds and purple basil, make this a remarkable dining experience. Cocktails were equally delicious. For dessert we enjoyed Spanish espresso martinis which use Liquor 43 and tequila (we opted for a more traditional Belvedere). Kudos to the new owners. If you’re ever in this area, get here as quickly as you can.

We had a lovely Friday evening at this local restaurant under new, but experienced, leadership. The cocktails were fantastic: creative, old school and delicious. To start, we enjoyed the roasted beets, brussels sprouts and the focaccia bread. For mains, we had the day boat scallops, nicely seasoned and tender pork chop and the gourmet, hand made burger. Everything was exceptional. We are just sorry we couldn't try more things. We will be back!

Google
The absolute best place for dinner here in Cape Cod. The Brazilian Steak, Scallops and Fresh Raw Oysters were all delicious and cooked to perfection! Our waitress Hayley was the best and made the experience so pleasant

The new owners have pulled the Wicked out of the doldrums! The short new menu combines excellent local ingredients with fresh influences. The prices are higher, but plates are quite generous and many lend themselves well to sharing. Perfectly light gnocchi with lobster, crispy shallots, wine and cream was absolutely delicious. We were also fighting over the unexpectedly fabulous seared wild mushrooms and farro dish. If you like mushrooms, a must try. We liked the crab salad, ( very fresh crab)but felt it would have worked better on a bed of greens instead of the leeks, for some texture and acidity. Lovely atmosphere, and appreciate the acoustics panels in the ceiling to hold down noise. We will be back! Thrilled they plan on being open year round.

Yelp
New owners - new menu. The Wicked Oyster was sold earlier this year. It looks like the restaurant got a new coat of paint and a new menu. The cocktails are ambitious and tasty. The menu is smaller, but most plates feature local seafood with a creative presentation. The Lobster Gnocchi is delicious. I would have given the meal 5 stars but the service was understaffed. It took 20 minutes for the server to collect my credit card and process the card after presenting the check.

Yelp
After having the incredible pleasure of eating here three times, I can only guess that any bad reviews date from the old restaurant/owners or from grumpy old bags having a bad day. It is IMPOSSIBLE that the mouth watering experience I have now had three times in a row could possibly be less than 5+ stars for anyone on the planet. The cocktails are a mixologist dream; creative & delicious. The warm house focaccia with whipped butter is so incredible I keep dreaming about it, I honestly need to fly back to Boston just to drive there and get it. On our last visit my husband got the New England Clam Stew and I tasted it rather indifferently because I am one of those weirdos who doesn't actually like clam chowder very much... AND I ALMOST FELL OFF MY CHAIR! Quite literally the most delicious soup I have ever tasted in my life. I adore Cape Cod, I adore eating, and I adore coming to Wellfleet and enjoying the various excellent restaurants between there and PTown. I am so thrilled to have another fabulous restaurant to add to the list of Foodie Pleasures on the Cape when I want a gastronomic swoon experience. Kudos to the new owners of the Wicked Oyster, you have hit it out of the park and I can't wait to return!

Yelp
A most excellent dining experience with great service from owner Sebastian and bartender server Olivia. The food was well prepared and very tasty and the Wicked Oyster ambience is always relaxed and enjoyable!

Yelp
Under new management, we had heard that the food was not as it had been, and we were pleasantly surprised with an absolutely delightfully experience with excellent tastes and thoughtful consideration to balance the adult meal with the desires and expectations of the two children with us. We had an early reservation and by 6:45 pm when we left, the bar and restaurant were nicely filled. We started with a lovely soft, salted focaccia with whipped butter. Cooked to perfection! The wait staff gave us detailed information on each dish, patiently explaining the prep of scallops crudo and then selling us on the seared scallops. We also shared the roast chicken with fennel and tomato salad with an incredibly rich butter jus and a little gems (new leaf to me!) salad with hazelnuts and shredded Parmesan (just enough to add a flavor and texture). The children enjoyed dine-in worthy chicken tenders and chips with white bean dip. Dessert was chocolate cake from which the chef removed for child-presentation purposes the delicious topping of pickled cherries and hazelnuts. The cake itself was moist but of no impressive quality. The cherries were delicious. The atmosphere is inviting and busy with each wait staff person ready to help. We will emphatically let others know that under new management means a delightful meal and experience for all.

Yelp
We went one time last summer but ended up going 2x this summer. I feel like it was far better than we remembered it being hence the double visit in one week. It was great. Great service super kid friendly..FOH super kind and servers were great (Daniel:). Also the acoustic treatments on the ceiling are excellent at making it easy to hear the conversation at the table while not blocking out the overall chatter and ambience. Nice spacious dining room. Efficient staff who were really nice too getting out the door quickly as we were hustling to catch the sun set. Oysters both visits of course. Solid dirty martinis. First night got fried clam strips and lobster gnocchi. Wife had seared scallops w corn pudding and heirloom tomatoes (she raved about the tomato). 2nd visit I got Jonah crab salad which was very refreshing and loaded w crab meat. I thought maybe it had a little too much basil but still was fantastic. The cod croquettes were so good too. A generous amount with an amazing honey sauce. It was very heavy and sweet and a nice offset to the crab salad. Also had the homemade focaccia which was great too. Literally the only suuuuper super minor gripe we had is that this is the only place we've ever been to where the garnish sauces for the oysters was a choice between horseradish, cocktail sauce, or mignonette and it's an up charge if you want more than one. I'm sure they make a lot off that minor .50-$1 add on and I get they want to not be wasteful and/or also the purist will say, "good oysters don't really require those let alone 3."Just kind of weird considering how much we were spending there but literally epic spot otherwise. We felt like the restaurants in Wellfleet stepped up their game in general this summer.

Steven C.

Yelp
Overall not a bad experience, I came up from DC and must say the food was good for coming in after 9 am with a party of 9. The lazy lobster was good although the gnocchi was a bit doughy and dense. The clam chowder was a bit loose and clams were not large, I was looking for a bit more flavor but the consistency was on point. The crab cake was good and full of crab meat but the shrimp egg rolls were a bit thick. The star if the show was the lemon risotto and shrimp. Really good! I'd come back to see if an earlier meal is better.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Skate and Lobster gnocchi were both excellent. COD croquettes had a honeyed sauce best described as "off the mark" that was too sweet and drowned out the fish flavor. Steamed mussels' broth was too much heavy cream. Chocolate cake drowned in too many sauces that didn't taste very good. Sometimes simpler is better. Service was excellent.

Amy G.

Yelp
Total spur of the moment stop on our drive back from Provincetown cuz I was getting hangry! So glad we saw it and pulled in - whole experience was fabulous. Oysters! little gem salad! Fish and chips! Night shift light beer. All delicious and they were so friendly and the ambiance has a bit of a European country inn esthetic. Service was professional but also chummy. I loved it.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Wonderful outdoor seating. We really enjoyed ourselves here. Great ambiance for a relaxed dinner. All good very good. Not great, but would return. Favorite of the table was the picatta! Excellent house red wine

Ann S.

Yelp
The food was amazing. Hands down, the best cheeseburger on the Cape. Beet salad was delicious.

Dave Z.

Yelp
I was here two weeks ago and we ordered various snacks and two entrees to share. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, the stars were the day boat scallops and the mussels. Cocktails were great, too. I came back solo two weeks later so that I could enjoy a full order of the scallops myself! Great food, attentive service, very pleasant atmosphere. As a year-round Wellfleet resident I look forward to some wonderful winter culinary experiences at this gem of a restaurant.

Yelp
Well new owners be aware...I hate to leave this review. A 70 yo 5 generation cape codder. This was a local treasure. NOT NOW. New owners nasty hostess...it was odd for a weekend at prime time not many there. Asked for patio...it was a nice night apparently not anymore. No explanation just surly hostess. OK then menu is god awful. Here's the thing...don't fix what ain't broke. Meal was screwed up wrong our guests ate we had 5 minutes to eat the most mediocre food after 30 minute wait The bill was 100. For 1 hamburger (vile) sent back one salad and 1 glass of wine!!!! I'm guessing because it was a local place and no one from wellfleet was there. Our waitress was pleasant but completely indifferent. Ugh.... no wedge salad the whole frigging town ate that...fussy weird combos of fish. Come on skate wings are delicious in brown butter and capers. Duh...French bistro??? Not that strange and horrible. Here the best part. The "french frys " were left over breakfast potatoes...seriously. If you remember the wicked this is a expensive mistake. Do not eat there...it's gone

Stephen G.

Yelp
Sorry to have to report that we did not enjoy our meal. New owners and chef have changed the old menu to one with very limited choices with only 2 fish entrees and some unusual preparations which did not appeal to us. Tastes were on bland side and lacked depth of flavor and salt. Mussel starter and entree lobster gnocchi seemed to share similar broth which was creamy and buttery but still tasted bland. Crab salad was ok but could use some greens and veggies to dress up the plate. Service was ok and friendly. Would prefer a larger menu with classic New England preparations. Sorry to say we won't be back unless we hear that the menu and chef has changed.

Emma M.

Yelp
I ordered a cheeseburger on a gluten-free bun with french fries and a glass of Pinot Grigio. It was a great burger that was cooked rare just the way I like it and the juiciness of the burger combined with the thick and gooey mozzarella was really good. The restaurant was beautiful and it was wonderful seeing my friends. They had beautiful artwork up on the walls and I enjoyed the service. I would really come here again for the burger. I was really impressed with the mozzarella cheese and how delicious everything was.

Eric O.

Yelp
The food and service was amazing! It is top on my list compared to all the other fine dining from Wellfleet to PTown.

Joe S.

Yelp
Food delicious, very creative flavors. Not a large menu, but quality of food makes up for it Beautiful dining area Very quaint bar Service was perfect

Joyce K.

Yelp
Maybe just an off night or maybe an off summer. There are new owners this year, new staff, a new menu, and the food is not as good as it was. Lobster gnocchi was overly sweet. A fish dish was poorly cooked. The focaccia and little gem salad, though, were quite good and the bartender (we ate at the bar) was great.

Steve G.

Yelp
We have always enjoyed the Wicked Oyster, and when we visited upon opening for the season, discovered they were under new ownership and management, and WOW. This restaurant has gone from good to exceptional. They have delicious classic fish dishes, as well as creative and outstanding dishes new to the menu. We had buttered bread (homemade grilled focaccia and butter), perfectly shucked oysters with granita mignonette, and potatoes with romesco sauce to start, followed by warm asparagus caesar salad, and the lobster gnocchi, which were pillows of potatoes with a light sherry sauce. The cocktails made by Sam and Dan were creative and on point. We will be back, and soon!

Libbie A.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants on Cape Cod. The menu has a great selection with daily specials also available. We started with gazpacho and the heirloom tomatoes with polenta. Both were very good although I felt the polenta lacked seasoning. For entrees my husband had the blackened sea bass special and I had the grilled halibut served with fingerling potatoes and summer veggie melody. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Dessert was the summer fruit tart with strawberries, rhubarb and peaches. Yummy. Attentive service and the dining room active but you could still hold a conversation. The crowds come in around 7pm and that's when it starts getting loud. Wicked Oyster is always very busy so get your reservations!

Gary D.

Yelp
What a great place for a great meal. There was 22 of us having dinner on a busy night during the summer season and they hit it out of the park. We're not a quiet group by any imagination. They were great accommodating our group with several changes to the reservation, very graciously I might add. Kellen our waiter was awesome! Can you imagine handling a group of 22? He did it with almost perfection. Everyone raved about their food. I had pan fried sole which was delicious. The menu has numerous choices with seafood being the main thrust but they also had flatbreads, burgers and steaks! Great drink menu, a couple of decent craft beer choices and also a nice wine menu. Prices were very reasonable considering this is Cape Cod at the height of the season. I highly recommend you give them a try you wont be disappointed.

Richard W.

Yelp
Oh no !!! New owners who deserve a fair shake so I will return next time in hope they fix things - the menu wasn't broke before. Let's start with the good. Service impeccable and the oysters great as usual as were the cod cheek croquettes. The not so good is that most of the menu (scallops, crème brûlée, lobster Mac) have been stripped and replaced by a menu which is trying too hard and seems to have been designed by someone with an overt nut fetish. The affordable NZ Sauv Blancs are gone replaced with French high markup wines. The lobster gniochi was good, but the walnuts had no place in the dish and jarred the enjoyment. The sole itself was delightful, despite the ambush courgettes which helped keep the fish crispy (bravo!!!) .The risotto bed however had not factored in that lemon flavors are so diluted by rice that you have to close your eyes and think about the Amalfi coast in order to believe there are lemons or even capers in it. The real crimes on the menu were in the dessert section. Cheesecake with jam was ok but I left some as it was interesting but quite bland unless paired with the jam and the completely unnecessary hazelnuts. The chocolate cake with lovely pickled cherries (if they stopped there it would be good!!!) nut butter, nut sauce and lots of salt was pretty poor. The lovely waitress recommended the sesame ice cream, and it felt like someone had a trip and decided sushi ice cream was a good idea. Of the 2-3000 deserts I've eaten in restaurants two of these are the worst ideas ever and possibly violated human rights laws. We couldn't stop laughing until of course the bill arrived, which still left a taste better than the ice cream. I LOVE this restaurant and desperately want it to succeed hence the 3 stars rather than the 1 it struggled to earn. Nothing wrong with the execution but people don't come to Wellfleet to be shocked by their food and at the same time is potentially taking down an institution. I implore the new owners please have someone impartial taste test the menu and please consider that they bought a restaurant with a very successful menu which didn't deserve dragging behind the woodshed.

Susan S.

Yelp
Absolutely excellent food, service and ambience. Wonderful staters and entrees (and cocktails!) that can't be beat. We will be back often and I'm happy they will be open year round.

Don M.

Yelp
The new wicked was delicious. Sitting outside with heat lamps, dog friendly, and outstanding service. Our waitress was wonderful. And, oh yeah the entries, appetizers, and desserts were so good!

Jillian B.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service, worth the prices! We were seated outside and it was a great atmosphere, some people brought there small dogs which is a friendly place as long as they don't bark a lot. The Lazy lobster was delicious! This was our first time and I am very glad we tried it! The service was spot on, all hard workers!

James L.

Yelp
I had hoped for so much more under the new ownership/new chef. But our dinner was a big disappointment. Both fish dishes were swimming in overpowering sauces, without much fish. The $25 burger was bland--nothing like the delicious Harry's Burger, which was $17 before the new owners took over. The appetizers we got were greasy and too rich. The drinks were tasty--but a manhattan now is about half the size it was with the old Wicked Lobster. I'm a local and had been eating there for years. And I hate writing this. I want to support our local eateries. But $39 for chicken with no side but tomatoes? $7 for a piece of bread? People on vacation will come there because there are so few places, but please, listen to your customers. We want to keep coming back, but until a lot changes, we will not.

Dawn D.

Yelp
When we introduced friends from Indiana to the Cape this weekend, we had no idea how amazing our dinner at the Wicked Oyster was going to be. From the moment we stepped inside and were greeted by a smiling, friendly hostess then seated in a candle lit room where others were enjoying their meals , clearly already privy to the fact that the food was going to be euphoric. Our 'snacks' as they called them and 'starters' were ordered per our server's recommendation on sharing a few things...he was so right! Our heirloom tomato salad and mussels, the scallop crudo and focaccia (which was perfect to dip in all the sauces and broths)! Moving on to our entrees of su vide prime rib eye and lobster gnocchi I can't even describe the experience because it was that good and will forever remain a core memory for our weekend away with our neighbors and friends! So thank you so much for this amazing night...can't wait to return to Wellfleet for another go! And we hope to have Daniel again as our server...he needs a raise!

David G.

Yelp
For many years I been a huge fan of the Wicked Oyster , it has long been part of our summer time restaurant repertoire here on the outer Cape. On a recent trip my husband and I returned for dinner and we learned that it is now under new ownership and management . I am thrilled to report that they took a restaurant that was really good and made it even better , The service under the direction of Sebastian Taffara formerly of PB Boulangerie is absolutely outstanding . The menu has many of the Wicked Oyster old standby's with some amazing new additions that are creative and delicious. So happy to report that the place is better than ever . I am looking forward to the opening of their outdoor dinning area .

Gail D.

Yelp
Three of us went last night, our first time and we went to follow the Chef, Garrett, who used to be at The Pheasant. We were very pleased with the atmosphere, the hospitality and the good food. Happily, we had a few things that we recognized as Chef signatures and enjoyed new-to-us items, as well. Loved that sharing is encouraged as part of the experience. Our waitperson, Emily, made the evening special by taking good care of us...she is a huge asset to the restaurant. We'll be back!

Jeanine D.

Yelp
Delicious dinner with friends on the patio. Our server, Nicole, was excellent. Love the vibe in the outdoor seating area. We had grilled romaine salad, spinach salad, seafood stew and blackened striped bass, all were delicious! The tuna appetizer was yummy, but only 4 small pieces, which was a bit surprising. Chocolate torte for desert didn't disappoint.

Bonni D.

Yelp
The pan roasted skate was UNbelievable!! With a glass or two of dry white wine ... scrumptious. The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable about each of the foods. It was slightly rainy and we ate outside, which was fine because they are adequately covered. Overall, A+. Really enjoyed this delicious evening out with my husband.

Glenn W.

Yelp
The Wicked Oyster had for years been on our A-list of Cape Cod eateries. No more. In 2004 Ken Kozak and Eliza Fitts opened the restaurant, but due to the loss of their chef last year decided to sell the business to new owners Alex Hay, Garrett Smythe, and Sebastien Taffara. Judging by last night's meal, they have miles to go to recapture the Oyster's former luster. We started off by attempting to order coffee, but the waitress informed us half and half wasn't available, just oat milk and whole milk. We passed. I had no complaints with my appetizer of crab salad, but when the entree of sole arrived, I saw an abundance broccoli stalks in addition to a few florets. These stalks were tough, fibrous, and barely edible. My first thought was the management was trying to stretch precious resources, but it could have been sheer culinary incompetence. On the plus side, the service was fine, and the ambience of the outdoor dining area was enhanced by a jazz acoustic guitar-upright bass duo playing bossa nova tunes. Still, that wasn't enough to tempt us to return.

Leon B.

Yelp
A fantastic experience! The food is delicious. Classic with a twist to contemporary. An expertly crafted menu that makes it easy to make choices. Service is expert, but friendly and casual provided by Evie. Ambiance is comfortable with traditional style meeting modern interpretation. Garret's new venture is a sure winner!

Robert S.

Yelp
Our friend Bob mentioned this nice restaurant during our stay in P'town, so we decided to check it out. The grilled octopus app was delicious. A large portion of a tender but nicely seared octopus with a delicate and tasty flavor profile. The steak with bourbon sauce was outstanding. We asked for medium and it came perfectly medium. The meat itself was tender and well seasoned, and the bourbon sauce on top made the dish unforgettable. The staff is very friendly and very efficient. We sat outside under a gas heat lamp and the evening was perfect. Check it out next time you are in the area.

Anne Halloran T.

Yelp
Delicious dinner and wonderful service. Congratulations to the new owners and THANK YOU for keeping this Wellfleet mainstay open and running so well!

Melissa D.

Yelp
Yummy food with a menu that offers a good variety. The tuna app was delish along with the shrimp egg rolls. The martinis were Fun as well.

Ariana L.

Yelp
I had an unbelievable meal here with my fiancé for her birthday. I absolutely loved my entree - he was not as enthusiastic about his but I feel like I loved mine so much that it made up for it. I absolutely loved the half roasted chicken special. The gravy was so unctuous and flavorful and had just the right amount seasoning. You can just tell that this food is made with so much love. This place certainly isn't known for its ambiance but it was a lovely spot and I'd definitely go back. They need better lighting in the front dining room. Good service for sure.

Peyton H.

Yelp
The risotto here is amazing , my favorite thing for sure. No matter what was on it, I recommend the scallops and salmon for sure. Other dishes around the table were the Panko fried sole, also very good, and the burgers. The service is also excellent. Our waitress Lizzie was great! We also had another waitress for my twin sister and my 21st birthday and although I don't remember her name she was absolutely amazing (short blonde hair, tattoos, very cool). We were super loud and I'm sure annoying and she treated us so well, we couldn't have asked for better service that night. Hope the owner sees this and can recognize who it is lol, she deserves a shout out.

Kate K.

Yelp
They have oysters. And they are wicked... Good that is!! Plus the crab cakes, halibut, lobster... I think pretty much everything on the menu is going to be above and beyond seafood wise. The atmosphere is friendly, and its a place I can bring family and friends. Can't wait to try more menu items when I come back again and again.

Liz B.

Yelp
Eh, mediocre, particularly for the prices. Had the mussel appetizer which was good, a Harry's burger which was ok served with what tasted like Aramark frozen French fries, and my husband had the seafood stew which was a few mussels, a few clams, two shrimp and what appeared to be a pulverized fish (rather than chunks) - aside from the shellfish he said it was not edible. The waiter was good and it's a lovely atmosphere, but the food is your basic three star food. It might be considered good for this area but coming from Boston it was disappointing.

Betsy K.

Yelp
My partner just dropped a bundle on a very disappointing dinner--we betrayed our "Macs only" (well, PJs too) dinner policy and are so sorry we did. We'd heard the dinner situation had improved (previously Wicked Oyster was a breakfast-only place for us) so we figured a 5 pm seating would be safe. Our salad tasted like it hadn't been dressed, my pasta came with chicken that had been cooked some other day, and my partner's dry, crumbly cod was accompanied by some soggy diner broccoli that looked like it belonged next to an open turkey sandwich. The server was very nice and my Paloma was magnificent. But no more dinners here for us--we'll stick to Macs which is so much better for the same price point.

Erik S.

Yelp
I've been coming to The Wicked Oyster every year as part of our summer vacation tradition. The indoor atmosphere is steeped in history and old world character, while the food is contemporary and inventive. The Buttermilk Fried Calamari was so good I asked for a second order for the table. The grilled Romaine salad had a hint of smokiness from the grill and was highlighted nicely with a smoked tomato dressing. The spiced tuna sashimi was vibrant, fresh and wonderful. However it could have used two more slices of tuna to be perfect. The Clam Digger Flatbread Pizza had a great flavor profile but could have used another 2-3 minutes in the oven to crisp up the dough. They offer a great variety of specialty house cocktails, beer and wine. They also have a vast outdoor area to enjoy a meal. Don't miss out on including The Wicked Oyster in your must visit restaurant list.

Yelp
We love love love this spot for breakfast! Have been cooking to Wellfleet for years now and always make a point to get breakfast here. The food is tasty and reasonably priced as well as a great selection of beverages both alcoholic and not. My favorite dish is the Green Eggs and Ham! So unique and fun! It's a scrambled egg dish with ham, pesto, arugula, and cream cheese and it's incredible! The pesto really makes this dish stand out. The home fries are good but nothing to write home about. Feel like they could use an extra something because the char on them is very good. My #2 got the lobster scram which was perfect and so cheesy! The parking situation is hit or miss depending on what time you get there. Extra parking in rear is very helpful. You can also call ahead which is great when you have a bigger party.

Yelp
One of our most reliable and longstanding go-to spots when we make our annual Indian Summer pilgrimage to the Outer Cape. Consistently good seafood and service. Decent wine selections. Bit we are major league bummed that they stopped serving breakfast mid-COVID. Their breakfast menu was, hands down, the best on the Outer Cape - and was always our first stop after our long car drive (where we would clink to vacation with yummy Bloody Marys) Every other option around is either take-out or mediocre or both. Please bring your breakfast back ! Even if just the weekends We miss it !

Yelp
Wonderful! Everything about every minute of our dining experience here was terrific. We made an early (somewhat last minute) reservation that was easily accommodated and were greeted with smiles by every single person that we came in contact with. That just set the right tone. The interior is lovely - great, super clean layout with plenty of beautiful, wooden tables and paintings reflecting the local vibe. Our server was delightful. Beverages were awesome and the food was fabulous. We started with cocktails - a "nor-easter" (ginger beer and maple whiskey concoction) and the special of the day (that tasted like a bright citrusy not overly sweet treat). One of the appetizer specials happened to be mussels - so we started there and also ordered a half dozen oysters. The mussels were in a light beer-based broth with banana peppers throughout. Give me a spoon and let me drink that up. Oh, wait...I'll just use the bread. The bread. I forgot to mention the bread. The bread basket is my achilles heel - especially when it's this good. Warm, sliced bread "sticks" served with a couple of pats of butter and perfectly roasted garlic for spreading. Oh. My. Goodness. I love bread and this carb-laden basket and I had a brief and fleeting affair. Our wonderful server brought us a second serving thus increasing her tip even more. And...increasing my waistline.... OK. back on track here. The mussels were meaty and plentiful. Crusty bread on top was very nice but, as you now know...the other bread stole my heart. I was having a hard time figuring out what to get for my dinner...so we just shared the ahi tuna appetizer and I went with crab cakes (appetizer) for my main course. My companion had the pan seared cod served with littlenecks - also cooked perfectly. I loved the ahi tuna - it had a slight kick from the spices on the outside. The soy reduction and wasabi dipping sauces were beautifully plated beside the tuna slices. Crab cakes were surprisingly large, not greasy and full of delicious, shredded crab. No filler at all. By the time we left, the restaurant was almost at capacity. I can understand why. Loved it.

Yelp
We sat right down to the best oysters in Wellfleet. Everything was delicious especially the desserts! The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere is beautiful- very historic!

Yelp
Went for dinner last night. Sat at the bar and ordered drinks, a dozen oysters and dinner. We never got our oysters! What a disappointment to go for oysters and not get them. Our dinners were good (sole and tuna). Probably will just stick with Mac's Shack.

Yelp
Fabulous fish! And their Wicked Burger is truly amazing. Love this place. We eat here several times a month.

Yelp
We've been coming to the WA for a few years while on vacation and are going to take it off our list for next year. After doing NYC-style competitive parking in their lot, the dining room was chaotic (maybe it was just a stuffy night with lots of loud-Harolds) to the point where we asked to be moved outside, when things got better. Food was good and prices a little better than some others in Wellfleet. Service was quite good. But bottom line, I'd rather wait at Mac's Shack or plan ahead for Winslow's.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant right of route 6 in Welfleet. Very nice food and excellent service. Patio in the summer is the place to be.
