The Wicklow Escape

Well Emma our Bride knew what she was doing booking here for her wedding. The most perfect setting for her special day. From the moment we arrivied we were met with the most helpful, cheery staff, nothing was too much for them. Special word of thanks to Kate who's attention to the bride on the day was exceptional. When you meet Derek you won't forget him, his character adds to the atmosphere of the surroundings. No matter the weather Wicklow escape have it covered fans, umbrellas etc. Our rooms were fab and so comfy. It is without doubt a little bit of heaven in west Wicklow... go on treat yourself, you won't be disappointed. Tks everyone.

Our wedding at the beautiful Wicklow Escape couldn't have gone any better, from the day-of organization to the tasteful decorations and cozy rooms. All the staff were so accommodating (especially given our group's chaos) and really seemed to care about making the day a memorable experience, even proactively addressing problems that we hadn't been aware of yet. They even helped us out when taxis canceled on our guests the next morning, which was above and beyond. Huge shout out to Kate for organizing everything, to Derek for keeping the party going, to Aga for the excellent food, and to every other member of staff (sorry we didn't get to learn all your names!) for everything you did to make our day so special. We couldn't imagine a better place to get married!

Had a wondeful family wedding there with great food und an awesome party. Staff is very helpful an friendly. The place is an absolute dream and very secluded, so children can roam around freely. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this place . It is in a ideal and idyllic location in the Glen of Imal . The guest rooms and cabins are nice and comfortable. The manager Kate is very down to earth and helpful. Best of all is the fact that the place is steeped in history and comes with its own story . Easy access to the wood and mountain walks , peaceful and serene . Completely refreshing .

From organising every detail of the weekend, to the stay itself, to the service, to checking out, my experience with The Wicklow Escape and with Kate and all the team was absolute 5 star. We were a group of 20 and the venue was just perfect, the rooms were lovely and clean, the lodge had the wow factor and the outdoor areas and hot tub really were the finishing touch. I couldn't recommend the Wicklow Escape more and Kate and team made organising our weekend so stress free, despite the thousand questions i asked! Was a weekend to remember and we will definitely be back!

We are so lucky to have found the Wicklow Escape. Everything about our experience was amazing from start to finish. We wanted something unique and beautiful for our amazing bride, and our hopes were far exceeded. Planning and booking with Lisa Ann and Kate was not only pleasant and friendly, but the care and excitement they showed really made it feel special. They were so relaxed and positive about anything we wanted to bring or do. On arrival the place really is something great. Nestled at the base of the mountain and in the woods, the accommodation is gorgeous, warm, cosy and dry, even at the beginning of February. The long hall is stunning and can accommodate and compliment any of your own decorations. We had dinner, set up a karaoke machine and partied the night away. Lots of people availed of the hot tub. Every single person working here is so fab. They are kind and relaxed and happy and we loved having them with us. We had such an amazing night, followed by solid sleeps and woke to beautiful birdsong. Breakfast was fab. The food, made by a private chef, is gorgeous and catered to all dietary needs with no issue. I had too good of a time to take any proper photos. I would like to live here, but if that's not possible, I'll definitely be back!

I stayed here for a weekend, with some extended family in October. It was a big group of 12 and I found the communication before arrival to be helpful with quick responses. Once we arrived we were treated to an amazing three course meal in a beautiful dining room. The food was clearly prepared with great care and attention. Lovely clean rooms. Had one issue with a broken door lock, which was fixed promptly. The outdoor pizza oven was a nice touch, which we enjoyed for one of the children’s birthdays. Outdoor jacuzzi was great in the beautiful setting! Thank you Wicklow escape, we will return.

Magical location ✨️ lovely staff beautiful food, everything so professional 😋 we were here for our sons wedding Mark and Barbara. The wedding organiser Kate is one in a million ❤️ nothing was a problem she has so much energy Dave aswell 👏 I'm sorry I don't know all the staff but they are brilliant.
