The Wild Orchid Resort

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every aspect of it. The rooms were spacious, extremely clean, and well maintained in spite of being a very old property. The bathroom was nice, and all essential amenities were provided. The environment was very serene…sitting on the verandah with my husband, enjoying a cup of coffee, was incredibly relaxing. We booked two rooms and traveled with my parents as well, and they thoroughly enjoyed their stay too. The overall atmosphere was calm and comfortable, making it perfect for a family trip. We had breakfast at the hotel. While it was slightly on the expensive side, the quality and taste were very good, so it felt worth it. Even if one chooses not to eat at the hotel, the location is excellent…there are many famous food joints and good restaurants nearby where we had our lunch and dinner. The staff deserves special appreciation. Everyone was polite and helpful, and a special mention goes to Deepak, the manager and the lady at the reception. We contacted Deepak right from the time of booking while we were still in Guwahati, and he guided us throughout. He helped us plan our entire trip at Havelock. Based on his guidance, we visited Radhanagar Beach early in the morning, and it felt like heaven…peaceful, beautiful, and free from crowds. He also arranged scuba diving for my husband, and it turned out to be an amazing and memorable experience. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a relaxing experience.

This place is value for money. While the washrooms were clean, it was a little rundown. The beds were as depicted in the Google pics, beautiful and rustic. Good place to stay.The food was very very good. The staffs in the reception and restaurant were welcoming and helpful. The main reason we got this place was because of Deepak, who I suppose was the property manager and had excellent connections. He got us connections for adventure sports, scuba, sea bed walking, even for scuba in Neil island. He helped us get the best scuba experience. The property by itself was small, next to the road, slightly smelly because of storm water drain flowing nearby, this did not affect the stay in any manner. Despite this small issue, this property is still one of the best stays in the place. It was close to all important places you visit. The beach was less than a 5 min walk and beautiful beach at that.

Room was very spacious, maintained neatly and felt quite luxurious. - Property is very close to the beach - less than a 5 minute walk, which makes it as good as a beach front property. - It is centrally located, with easy access to the Jetty (which makes it easy to access - Kayak and Elephanta branch), to Kalapathar Beach (which is not to be missed - especially the secluded spots on the way to the main beach). - Restaurant has amazing food! And the services is fantastic. - Mr. Deepak who manages the property was extremely helpful. We stepped into Swaraj Dweep without any plan on hand, and everything got sorted just thru Deepak. We did a couple of activities on Elephanta beach (sea bed walking and submersible scooter - both of which in my opinion can be skipped if one wants a true experience of the marine life, which only scuba/snorkelling can provide) kayaking - which was truly beautiful, we got to see the bioluminescence. Highlight of the trip was the scuba diving experience, which was arranged by Deepak through Experience Scuba. He was truly a one stop solution for us. He also put us in touch with the scuba instructors in Shaheed Dweep, which too was fantastic. Highly recommend staying with them for a wholesome experience.

I had a really nice stay at this hotel. The place has a pleasant bamboo forest vibe that feels calm and relaxing. The best part was the scuba diving arranged by the hotel in a different site other than commercial sites. We went around 15 metres deep into clear water, and the dive master guided us very well. If you’re lucky, you might even see a turtle underwater! Thanks to Mr. Deepak, the manager, for arranging everything smoothly for the guests. A good place to stay and enjoy a great diving experience.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The food was very yummy - my compliments to the chef. Special thanks to Mr. Deepak, who helped me explore places around Havelock and made the experience memorable. For the price I paid, a few improvements could make the stay even better. Thank you.

We truly enjoyed our stay on Havelock Island Wild Orchid Resort. The location of the hotel was perfect — surrounded by plenty of cafés and places to eat and relax. All the major beaches were easily accessible, just about 15 minutes away by scooter, which made exploring the island very convenient. The breakfasts were delicious, and the service was consistently fast and attentive. The staff answered all our questions, always greeted us warmly, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. It was a wonderful experience, and we would gladly return 🥰🔥🔥

A mesmerising place within nature's serenity offers ample for the visitors. The staff have been generous, approachable, and helpful. The services have been impeccable, with exceptional cleanliness in the huts and surroundings. The food has been excellent and sumptuous. The menu has also been well-crafted to suit guests' varied preferences. The location is well placed for exploring the adjacent delicacies on foot. Our stay at Wild Orchid was truly pleasant and memorable. The rooms were very clean, neat, and well-maintained. We especially loved the small sit-out veranda outside the room — a perfect place to relax. The only thing we felt missing was direct access to the beach; it would have been wonderful if the property had that. But apart from this, everything else was absolutely up to the mark. A special appreciation to Deepak. He went above and beyond in helping us plan our itinerary, suggesting the best places to visit, and arranging experiences like bioluminescence kayaking and scuba diving. We had checked everywhere and were told kayaking slots weren’t available, but Deepak took the extra effort, contacted multiple sources, and finally arranged it for us — especially helpful since we didn’t have time on other days. Another big plus was that they allowed us early check-in. Our ferry arrived early, and even though the check-in time was 2 PM, we were able to check in around 11 AM. This really helped us freshen up and head out quickly to explore the island. Overall, we had a fantastic experience in Havelock, and our stay at Wild Orchid contributed a lot to it. Definitely recommended!
