The Winchester Boutique Hotel Cape Town

The rooms are very comfy. The staff is helpful and welcoming. The location is lovely, right across from the oceanfront promenade. The breakfast spread is a delightful feast! Also, the onsite restaurant offers creative, quality food for dinner! Other restaurants available nearby were all very quiet. Complementary shuttle to V&A Waterfront was hit or miss but easy Uber ride away.

This is my most favorite hotel I have ever been too. Service was impeccable all the way around. The spa was incredible for massages and the best facial ever. The restraunt and bar were amazing. We ate there multiple times for dinner and breakfast. Or room was perfect and cozy and excellent location. Will only stay here if I come back to Cape Town.

I have been a guest of The Winchester for over 10 years. I recently returned and was blown away by the welcome of the front desk team - Darren and [forgive me I could not find the paper I recorded your names on] . I arrived having had some not so great travel news and the front desk team lifted my spirits. A BIG thank you.The front desk of Thalia and the management of Mr Murray was always impeccable. These two set the standards and a high benchmark. Today Newmark have raised the bar.||This hotel is a gem - it always has been. The refurb over the Covid period and the management of Newmark ensure a great welcome and extremely well appointed rooms. There is much comment on Trip Advisor about the food so I will not add to them except to say that all the positive comments are well deserved.||The Winchester stands alone pretty much at the centre of Sea Point. Walk out across the road and admire the artwork and roaring waves.||Until the next time dear friends at The Winchester

Very cute hotel with breakfast included in the garden patio area each morning. I accidentally left behind an entire bag of clothes when we checked out and the front desk kept everything safe for me until I arrived back a week later. We did have a leak in our room two nights in a row but they handled it well.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Winchester Hotel — a charming boutique property in a very safe and convenient part of Cape Town. The hotel is beautifully maintained, very clean, and has a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The staff went out of their way to help us make the most of our stay, especially when the weather turned rainy — they offered great suggestions and local tips. We loved starting each day with a delicious breakfast, and the on-site restaurant and bar were excellent for unwinding in the evenings. The property also has a small spa and gym, which was a nice bonus. All in all, a great home base for exploring Cape Town — we’d happily stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 nights to begin our trip to Africa. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It was quiet at night and had a great view of the ocean during the day. The staff was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was delicious. The location was good for most things in Cape Town. There was a promenade along the coast which was great for walking. We would stay here again.

We stayed for one night for our wedding anniversary and were so blown away by the amazing Winchester Hotel experience, that we booked my parents in the next weekend for my mother's birthday. The highlight was the excellent service we received from the moment we arrived in the parking lot, which continued throughout our stay. Even down to the man who was repairing a wall in the corridor who greeted us warmly and with a smile. Amazing! The buffet breakfasts are also supreme. Fantastic cocktails at Harvey's Bar which is part of the hotel. We plan to become regulars. Well done Winchester staff!

Super cute boutique hotel! Location is amazing, right across from the waterfront park and close to downtown and lots of restaurants. The bar downstairs has a beautiful patio where you can sit and get a drink and watch the sunset. The breakfast is amazing, get the eggs Benedict. Highly recommend for a unique stay!
