We booked this room last minute after we go into town. I never looked at the property other then it was across the street from the park.... Walking up to it is a little intimidating as all hotels are older in Solvang. Once inside the property is very well kept.. The decor, ambiance of the common spaces is very nice, it even has a little quiet library also... The rooms was Amazing!! We had the Clock Tower Suite which puts the bar as high as it gets for the area.... 10/10 would recommend this hotel...

The place is visually pleasing to the eye. The location is perfect in terms of walking distance to the town. The staff even though they’re not on site they were still very quick and helpful over the phone. Staying on the first floor is not a good idea, you will stay up all night from the upstairs stays- even if they’re just walking) the walls are thin. The blankets and pillows are not comfortable, I’d bring my own next time.

It was such a great experience! When we arrived at the hotel, I was a bit confused at first because there was no reception desk. However, the service was excellent later on—we received the access code over the phone, and our room was cute, spotless, and spacious, featuring two large king beds. Our family kept saying this room was perfect for enjoying downtown Solvang and playing golf in the city.

Google
We arrived to find out our room was several stories up and the only functioning elevator was broken. The “invisible” staff failed to offer any solution or even apologies for what was a huge inconvenience since we were traveling with a stroller, several suit cases, travel crib etc. When I inquired about when it would be fixed, they offered no guidance. The room was nice but the service was horrible. Would not recommend.

Google
This was my first time in a hotel with no visible people, but it was excellent. The room and bathroom were huge and impeccably clean. I would definitely stay again. That said, you have to lock the door with the keypad when you leave. It won't lock automatically when it closes. A note to that effect in an obvious location would be super helpful.

Google
I’ve never gotten to stay at the hotel due to canceling my reservation at no fault of the hotel. This review is for the above and beyond customer service from Lolita helping me with Booking.com . She was helpful and patient even after the knowing that I canceled my reservation. I do hope to stay at the property in the future. And never book through booking.com

Thus is an unmanned hotel. The lobby and building is nicely decorated. But the problem is with the communication. They send out a confirmation email about 30 minutes to 4. It has a confirmation number in the email. Nowhere does it say that is your pass code. When I arrived there was an elderly couple who were completely confused about the entire experience. I figured out the pass code. And got us in to the building. But my email said I was staying in the clock tower suite. There is no signage saying the names of the rooms only numbers. So I texted the number they say will be support. No answer. So I call the help line. Get sent to voice mail. I wanted and called the vinland the sister hotel. They answered. I told the young lady of the problem. She confirmed that I was indeed staying in the clock tower suite. I had to tell her there was no signs for such a place. So she emailed me a map of the hotel, that also had room numbers. So I finally was able to get out of her that my room was # 11. How much easier would it be, if you just said that in the original email? The room was beautiful. Until it was time to go to sleep. And the motorized blind would not close. So we spent the first night sleeping under the romantic glow of a high voltage city street light. The next day I again texted the help line. Still no answer. I called and left a voicemail. I then found a cleaning staff member, who did act like I was bothering her. But she did tell someone. Because they answered my text. I gave them permission to go in while we were out. When we got back the blind was down. I didn't want to mess with it just in case. So I looked forward to my first night's sleep. Except the city does a street fair every Wednesday. So the cities power washing crew showed up at 5 am to wash the sidewalks and store fronts. While listening to the Eagles greatest hits at full blast from the work truck. That's probably why the hotel supplies you a sound machine. The room was covered in someone else's hair. Including the toilet. So not super clean. All in all dont stay here. I understand what they are trying to do with the unmanned format. But they fail at every opportunity. Answer the text. Or at least the phone. Macking people hunt you down for help is frustrating and sets the tone for the entire stay.

Google
Absolutely loved staying here. I stayed along with my adult kids and were given rooms in the left wing. Our rooms were absolutely gorgeous, spacious, unique and extremely thoughtfully designed. Our rooms opened up to a library and common area that felt like our own living room. This was like staying in our own private mansion. The location couldn't be any better and we enjoyed walking to all of our activities. 5 stars all the way!

Yelp
The most Luxurious Swankiest Bistro hotel your dreams could ever imagine and then some. Pet friendly heaven, smack dab in the center of town. If your lucky you could snag the room with balcony over looking the beautiful tree lit park. What a treat yourself little vacation to cleanse your soul. Just Do It.

Yelp
We stayed here on New Years' eve and I was able to book a room very last minute but it was pricey. We paid over $400 for our night stay but everything in the area was already pricey. It's a very spacious room and it was just right for my family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). There's a separate sitting area with w TV in the living area. The bathroom is huge and they also provided 2 small bottles of Fiji water complementary which was a nice touch. Be aware that this a self service hotel so there is no front desk to greet you and they don't have a restaurant onsite. But there is a restaurant right outside of this hotel. I would stay here again if I was in the area since the rooms are all suites and it's centrally located. We were right outside of the park that had a light show for new years' eve so it was great to be able to celebrate right outside of our hotel room and head back quickly once we were done.

Yelp
First time at this type of hotel. There's a parking lot under the hotel that's covered which is nice but it's also tandem parking which sucks but we went during the week so no one blocked us in. The room was on the first floor which was nice but you can hear people walking in and out and closing the door. The room itself is very modern and during the week the price is worth it however during the weekend, the rooms start at $300 and up which I do not think it's worth that much but that's just my opinion.... There's no table to eat but there is a mini fridge and coffee machine which is nice but also no microwave. Pup came along so they had a doggy bowl out with some treats, a puppy pad, and Fiji water, not for us but for the pup which is super cute. I wish the shower had 2 shower heads cause they only had one in the walk in shower with no door so that was a little inconvenient along with the one sink and the toilet around the corner. Sort of a weird design but I guess it works. They had a sound machine which I loved, small little balcony but overlooking the parking lot - meh, and a TV that is really far from the bed which was also weird. You are 100% paying for location because this is right off Mission Dr and 1st.

Sierra J.

Yelp
To start off our visit they do not have a front desk check in and you receive a code via email , we never received one . Called their phone number and they were no help. We ended up hanging out in the parking lot until a lady who helps run things helped us out? Not sure why they would not just have a front check in . We stayed in the double king room which is right about some sort of really loud restaurant until about 9:30 so if you have small kids be prepared for them to be awake. Fan in the bathroom barely worked and the shower squeaked so loud the entire time it was on (water pressure was very soft as well) Beds are semi comfortable but the pillows sucked. Definitely would choose a different hotel next time we come up here.

Rachel K.

Yelp
Amazing stay from start to finish! Even though there is invisible service you wouldn't even notice which is also a great perk. I received communication the day of my stay with easy check in instructions and a warm welcome from Marci! I brought my pup and she ensured that she was taken care of from the beginning with bowls, treats and a bed. Marci greeted me the first night with some special records for the record player which was so thoughtful. I loved all the special touches! From the chocolate in the room to the wine to the cheeseboard that Marci offered us on the second night as well. It feels like home at the Winston and you won't regret staying there! The rooms are also beautiful I was in the clock tower suite which was just amazing and right in the heart of town!

Julie N.

Yelp
The location is good, and the WiFi and AC work great. The room is huge and very clean. And yes, there is an honor bar and a fridge in the room. Those are definite pluses! The cons are: The parking is tandem, so you might get completely stuck there. And though the contactless checkin thing is fine, there were a couple people a little confused when they got here. And it might seem minor, but right now it feels major to me-having a smart tv in the room with only basic cable and without any movie channels or access to Netflix or other streaming devices is sorta unacceptable. Especially in a place like Solvang without much nightlife. I've stayed in many hotels over the last few years , some of them cheap and pretty awful, and they at least had Netflix or something. After splurging on $400 a night here, having to spend the end of the evening watching reruns of Law and Order sucks. And the extra blanket in the closet is truly the scratchiest most uncozy blanket ever! Who picked that out?!? I feel bad because the place is actually quite nice, but the little things sometimes make a big difference.

Yelp
This rating is for the reservation confirmation process. They call you several days prior because they need to "ask you a few questions". They left a voicemail. When I called back the first time, it just rang and rang. When I called back the second time, the person couldn't get a simple email address correct. (I said, "F-I-L-M, film, as in cinema", and she said, "So, SYKL?"). That went on and on, until I said I'd just call back later. The whole process of having to get on the phone with an actual person three days prior to check-in is weird, but they make it actually painful.

Yelp
I'm giving this hotel only 2 stars for multiple reasons. One being is that check-in is at 4 and we didn't get into our room until after 5. We had travelled and were very tired. When I called I was told we'd get a discount for our inconvenience but that still hasn't happened!!! The room was beautiful and clean but we both got bit by something. We were just glad we stay one night. This hotel is also "self-contained" so no one is one the premises if you need something immediately. That's not something that I noticed when booking our room. Again...the room was beautiful but I wished we would have been able to get into our room sooner and didn't get bit!

Yelp
Very beautiful hotel in the heart of Solvang. Wonderful how you don't have to deal with anyone to get into your room. It's the morning of my 1 day staycation and I still don't know if there is an actual lobby to speak to someone. First off the rooms are gorgeous. Who would think that a room painted partly green could be so beautiful but it is. The room is impeccably clean. The bed is super comfortable and the pillows aren't too hard or too soft. Honestly, for me at least, the beds were way better than those in Las Vegas. Also the bathrooms have great water pressure for your morning or evening showers. Now for the one star subtraction: we likely would have been super excellent to have stayed here if the people upstairs didn't clomp around like water buffalo. We could also hear them talking faintly. So this meant to me that the walls are thinner than I thought. I kid you not the people upstairs must have been an entire family. I would guess with young kids with skateboards since they were evidently riding them in the room since we could hear the wheels rolling above our head. Perhaps management could hput parties of 2 upstairs and larger parties with kids downstairs first when possible. All in all if come back here for the location but I'd definitely see if I could get an upstairs room.

Yelp
Fantastic apartment in South End Charlotte. I just moved my 22-year old daughter here to start her career in education and was relieved to find such a great community at The Winston. Safe, secure and a good value are all hallmark characteristics of this location. A special shout out to Melanie for her first-class service.

Yelp
I hate leaving a negative review for such an adorable and comfortable hotel in Solvang, but my explanation will show why it was necessary. First the positive: the self check-in and location was great and easy. We were able to check in an hour early, which we appreciated, and our Room 4 was clean (or so we thought), beautifully decorated, and the room/lobby was easy to access with keyless entry. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The room even had complimentary coffee and water for guests. The staff communicated through text and were responsive and sweet. Now onto the negative: not the fault of the hotel, but we stayed Thursday through Sunday and it so happens the trash is picked up on Friday and Saturday and our windows faced the alley where the dumpsters were located. We woke up both mornings at 6:45 am to the sound of a trash trunk beeping and dropping empty dumpsters - not fun. Wish their windows and walls muffled the sound better. Minus one star. The big dip in our review is because on our second morning (Saturday) I walked into the bathroom to find a small, dead roach btwn the shower and toilet. It was not the typical "oh it's a water bug" type of roach. It was the infestation type. AND on our way out of our room, we noticed another dead roach in the hallway of which I snapped a picture (although maybe not a very good one). The two roach appearances made me worry about bringing them home with me in my luggage and no matter how cute the room was or the great location or the attention of the staff, that is a deal breaker for me. I sent staff a text letting them know what I found and included a copy of a picture. They responded within an hour and offered to clean them up and offered us a bottle of wine, which I accepted (because honestly, why not). But I won't be returning to the hotel and until they spray for pests, I would not recommend.

Yelp
A wonderfully designed boutique hotel and perfectly located for those that way to be a bit off the main road. The beds were very comfortable and all the amenities were well enjoyed. The only thing that was tough is commuting with the digital front desk. It's best that you call because texting takes a very long time. If you want to use the jacuzzi and pool, you'll have to use their sister hotel down the road. I'd recommend you driver there instead of walking. I would love to come back here and enjoy their space more.

Yelp
Pretty cool place. The location was perfect. It was super clean, although it was a self check-in location it was pretty easy. I would definitely recommend this place and I would stay here again. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is cause the bed sunk in on one side so my husband did not sleep comfortably and the windows and walls are super thin you can hear everything.

Tim M.

Yelp
Had a great start at this quiet staff-less hotel. The rooms were spacious with a separate sitting area and walk in shower. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Yelp
What a nice surprise! The Winston is located in the heart of Solvang - everything is just a convenient walk away! We received a call a few hours before check-in letting us know our room was ready and a code was provided. We easily entered the building but were a little lost upon entry. A note in the lobby directing you to what rooms are located on what floor might be helpful but with only 15 rooms it wasn't too hard to figure out. The room was massive! The bathroom was massive. The shower was massive! With high ceilings and wood beams on the ceiling the room felt like it was meant for royalty. Everything in the room felt fresh and clean - no scuff marks, no worn carpet, no frayed furniture. There was a small station with water, coffee and tea available for our use, in addition to a mini fridge where we could store some items from home. The view from our room was not pretty (just a parking lot) and the garbage truck came on Friday and Saturday morning around 6:45 a.m. If you are light sleeper you will likely find this annoying. The hotel also has hardwood floors in the lobby and hallways. You will hear people's shoes as they walk by and you'll hear their roller bags as they come and go. Again, with only a handful of rooms the noise is infrequent but it is noticeable. We received a text upon arrival and one after our first night just to confirm that everything was good and to let us know how to reach anyone should we need assistance. We never needed anything because they had prepared for our every need before we even arrived. We were in town for the tree lighting celebration and Christmas parade. The hotel was right across the street from the park and nestled in between shops and restaurants. We could not ask for a better location. We loved at our time at The Winston and will be staying here again during our next visit. I highly recommend you do the same!

Yelp
We came to the winston for 2 nights. Check in was very easy, we were emailed a room code and were able to go right to our room. The room (#7) was enormous. Beautiful and huge! We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location central to the main area. Easy walk to all of the restaurants and shops. We would highly reccomend staying at the Winston. It was quiet, clean and cozy.

Yelp
Be aware that this hotel has no employees to help w bags, with guidance for parking or help to your room. It's one thing for them to tell you not to expect anybody to help but it's another to experience it first hand. The hotel was clean and well-maintained. The concern I had was that it took more than five minutes to get hot water when we 1st arrived in the late hours. When we attempted to call for help, nobody answered the first time. Eventually, the water did get hot, but we experienced the same issue in the morning. Another five minutes for the water to get hot. Just very wasteful... The parking was challenging as well. Finally we had issues entering the building because a code was needed. Again that wasn't made clear but we figured it out. Cute hotel but just not for us.... You don't realize the little things the associates do for you at a hotel until you don't have them...

Joy Y.

Yelp
The room I got is #12. It has a balcony facing the park. Great decor. Very spacious. Best experience I had at Solvang. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This is a new, standout hotel in Solvang, with impeccably spacious rooms and private parking in a routinely busy downtown. I spent my first three nights in Solvang, and couldn't be happier with my hotel choice. The Winston, while unstaffed, enables you to come and go via a smart key access code. The hotel is attached, from First Street, to Fitzgerald's Tavern, which I found convenient despite a surprising limited selection of Irish beers. In any case, the rooms are quiet, and you actually enter down a narrow, sloped driveway right near Fitzgerald's and park essentially out of site. Our room, No. 9, was on the second floor and was spacious, with a comfortable bed, large bathroom, and attractive, minimalist decor. (Our view out back was to a parking lot area near the exterior of the Belgian Cafe). This location, with its attractive and distinctive clocktower, is close to everything and easy to spot.

Yelp
We had a sublime stay at the charming Winston Hotel in Solvang. It is so elegantly (yet cozily) decorated, and located right in the center of town, set back off the Main Street so that it is quiet. The staff (Terry) is wonderful. The breakfast (included) is great. The accoutrements are marvelously selected. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We usually stay at the landsbey hotel and absolutely love it! This time we decided to stay at the Winston and were happily Surprised! The room was big and Clean the bed and linen comfortable and Clean also had a beautiful upgraded bathroom and a cute espresso machine that made great espresso! Definitely will stay again!

Yelp
We had a wonderful 27th Wedding Anniversary at the Winston! They exceeded our expectations in every way. The cleanliness & attention to details was impressive. Rooms are huge& decor is comfy& cozy. Location is right in the middle of everything. We free parked our car& never drove it the whole vacation. The Nespresso Coffee maker in your room is the best! They also deliver breakfast in bed to your room every morning between 8am-10am. We were a little apprehensive about this invisible service& no front desk. We LOVED it but there is a learning curve. We suggest you take a deep breath& relax& work together as a team to figure it all out

Yelp
We got this on a Travelzoo. And we can't be more pleased. The room was huge Very quiet we stayed Tuesday to Thursday Super quiet !!! They left treats for our puppy and a nice note and a bottle of wine for our 40th Anniversary If I could give it 10 stars I would

Yelp
I have stayed here about 6 times over the past few years and enjoyed every visit. The rooms are decorated beautifully and have great amenities like a sound machine, fridge, nespresso, and water bottles. Very clean and large bathroom and comfy bed. It is located next to the park and within walking distance of everything in Solvang. The hotel is dog friendly and provided my pup with food bowls, water, treats, and a soft blanket. I enjoy the contactless check-in, very quick and easy and never had an issue getting a hold of someone if we needed anything. I can't imagine staying anywhere else!

Yelp
I'm a little torn about leaving such a "low" review...because there really isn't anything "egregiously wrong" about this place...however since I've been lucky enough to stay in some fancy hotels in many corners of the world over the years, I just can't justify paying $450/night for The Winston, and so the rating is meant to reflect that "value proposition" -- it most definitely isn't worth it. Suffice it to say that you can stay in basically any hotel on the Vegas strip for less than half the price and it will be much fancier/higher quality decor and you will get treated like royalty...or you can stay in this place that does its best to *appear* like an upscale place in a tiny town...and feel a bit ripped off. I'm not talking about the lack of staff -- that was known going in, and was frankly welcome during the pandemic. But my then-fiancée and I were staying at The Winston for our wedding weekend (!!) and the hotel just does not exude the standard of quality we were hoping/expecting to have -- the feel of it seemed more like someone decided to buy a Motel 6, spend $400K "sprucing it up" and then quadruple the price of the rooms. First of all, if you do elect to stay here you want to make sure to request the GRAY room, which is Room #9. The other king rooms they have available we affectionately dubbed "Christmas threw up" and we have no idea why anyone would want to stay in them...unless for the kitsch factor during a December sojourn to Solvang. But be advised that most of the rooms in the hotel overlook a **parking garage** and NOT the very cute town center that the hotel is located in. And from what I'm pretty certain must be all the rooms, you can hear a TON of noise from the hallways, and from the bar next door, and also from the aforementioned parking garage...which by the way is rife with gnats/mosquitos. (The silver lining to the pandemic was that we were wearing a mask and face shield every time we went to/from the car so that mitigated the insect swarm!) Our king-sized room was spacious and reasonably comfortable...however there were some mind-boggling "design elements" for such a newly-remodeled hotel, like having around 8 light switches to control 2 lights, and having but ONE towel hook in the bathroom that is possibly bigger than my living room. Did whoever they massively overpaid to design this place not realize that more than one person might wish to take a shower? 'Cause really, I can get around 8 towel hooks at Holiday Inn for $79/night. My now-wife and I have been up in the Solvang/Los Olivos area at least 5-6 times prior and had always stayed in AirBnb's that had cost less than half the price of this hotel, however for our wedding we wanted something that would feel special... And at the end of the day, this place is unfortunately just not "special" -- it is serviceable, sure. But to me at least, I don't pay $450/night for serviceable.

Yelp
For a $400+ per night hotel (Valentines Weekend 2022), I would have expected MUCH more. We were in Room 5, a handicap accessible room. Disappointed, to say the least. While ideal for someone in a wheelchair, it was NOT what we expected. I expected a room, similar to the pictures on your website. The room's floors were uneven. The sound from upstairs was LOUD, especially if they were rolling luggage or had high heels on. In fact, you could hear conversations from people upstairs, or outside the room. We will not be staying here again.

Yelp
We absolutely love this hotel! It's boutique style is very clean, and modern in all of the right places! I love all of the little details. It reminded me of Vegas in the way they thought of everything. It's very quiet and so comfortable. There is no lobby staff, so you check in on your phone and use a code to get in. They have a honor bar, and Nespresso in the rooms. Which I love! They deliver a breakfast to your door, which consists of croissants and fruit and coffee and orange juice. We will definitely stay here again! Oh! and pet friendly!!! There is a park across the street, which my dog loved!

Yelp
Horrible place to stay bad business people trying to run a hotel with no one on site what a joke parking lot is gravel watch ur step very slippery and u can't ask anyone a question so not highly recommend

Apple C.

Yelp
Website is very deceiving with the wording of "hands off," need to be more upfront with stating that there will be NO staff on the premise. Sadly, it took forever for staff to answer the phone as they sent me the WRONG code to get in our room via email & all we wanted to do was rest. What a hassle! We arrived on a Wed & it was farmer's market day so navigating thru the market to get to the Winston was horrible. Alarm going off early in the morning, called up staff, took a long while before they picked up & they didn't know what was going on; very concern for our safety. Loud music at night since we stayed at room 15. Tavern next door was moving furniture at 5a which woke all of us up. NO grab bars in the shower, this is a safety hazard. This is more like an Air BNB & it should state so on the website. NEVER again will I stay here. If you want the regular service from a hotel since you're on vacation & want a bit of pampering, this is NOT the place to stay!

Yelp
My husband and I recently planned a one night getaway to Solvang to celebrate our anniversary. We heard about The Winston hotel from a friend and were so glad we got to enjoy our night here! The contactless check in was outstanding, so simple and stress free. Plenty of parking, the room was immaculate. And can we talk about the bathroom?! All white and marble...just stunning. Large room with sitting area, Nespresso machine for espresso in the morning. Balcony with views. The room was decorated so cute with bright walls and fun wallpaper. We couldn't have felt more comfortable. They have a really cute honor bar if you forgot anything at home. And they deliver the most adorable breakfast tray of goodies every morning. The location is prime, steps from restaurants, wine tasting and the park. You must go!

Nick S.

Yelp
Beautiful boutique hotel. After booking I received a call from the hotel asking if they could help make any suggestions or reservations. It was an easy check in process with our door code texted so we were able to get right into our room. Room was beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and whimsical. Huge bathroom with great shower. Location was perfect. And we could text hotel with questions throughout the weekend and got immediate responses. We will definitely come back. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We had a remarkable stay at The Winston in the heart of Solvang. It reminded me of staying in a (memorably lovely) private house, but without any of the attendant social pressures. The interior design is spectacular with some extraordinary art and hand picked furniture which all fits harmoniously and beautifully together. Somebody here has seriously good taste. The staff is ever helpful, and discrete. Terry is an absolute treasure and looked after us SO well. I can't recommend The Winston highly enough. Tom S

Yelp
Very beautiful hotel in the perfect location! Close to everything, we were able to walk everywhere. The hotel is brand new. You need a code to get into the actual building and each room has its own code. Everything was clean and even though it is a contactless hotel, which is perfect for the pandemic, we were always able to contact someone if we had any questions. They deliver a continental breakfast to you in the morning, with croissants, juice, coffee and fruit. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Solvang.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at The Winston on a quick trip to Solvang. Our room was immaculate and the fixtures were upscale. The decor is super cute and the marble tiled bathroom was a favorite. Brittney and Elysia were super helpful. If you find yourself in Solvang in search of a great hotel, this is it!

Yelp
Omg I love love love this hotel!! Carie at the front desk was the sweetest and made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was so cute and clean. The breakfast in the morning was just the right amount to get our day started. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

Yelp
If staying in Solvang, look no further than The Winston. It's the perfect little getaway -- tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown tourists, yet literally steps (about three of them) away from it all. As of this review, the property is brand new, exquisitely sprinkled with all the amenities you could need during your stay. Plus, the contactless entry (keypads to enter the building and your room) is perfect for the COVID age. Warm colors, floral designs and lush bedding & bath make these rooms comfortable, clean and well-appointed. Ours, room 1, had a spacious balcony with beautiful sheer curtains, plus blackout shades. Prior to our stay, Terry (hotel manager) called and introduced herself, and made sure we were all set for our arrival. Complimentary continental breakfast adds a nice touch, plus the bathroom comes with all the toiletries anyone could ever need -- and the shower is incredible. We loved our stay and know you will, too. Enjoy!

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow! Without a doubt this will be my go to place when staying anywhere in this area. I just can't stress enough how important it is to me to stay at a place that is safe, clean, modern and has great service. Let me just say The Winston checked all the boxes. This was my first time at a staff-less property and I really enjoyed the privacy. I was with my mom and to be honest, it felt like a big house with a bunch of rooms. It just felt like home. Now the room was perfect. Great bed, so comfortable. I stayed in #9 and my mom stayed #4. Not to be honest, I loved #9. It was spacious with a huge bathroom. The walk-in shower was to die for. The room had everything you could need with the exception of wash cloths. But not a big deal. Now my moms (#4) was on the darker side and smaller but still had a great bathroom and comfortable bed. We both really enjoyed our stay. Instead of having breakfast at our rooms, we decided to utilize the lounge area and eat breakfast together. The staff was great in setting it up for us (see photo). All in all, this will be my spot and I will definitely tell others to stay here.

Yelp
This is the best place to be staying when you are in Solvang. Our clock tower suite was absolutely amazing. It was very clean and modern. The invisible staff was a new experience and we enjoyed how responsive they were. All the amenities were great and the staff was able to answer all your questions and provide excellent recommendations too. Parking was great too. The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect. When looking for a hotel in Solvang no need to look anywhere for other than The Winston. It's 5 star for sure and we will revisit our suite again soon for sure!! Thank you everyone for such amazing hospitality.

Yelp
If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would! Everything about this hotel is amazing! Terri at the hotel was so sweet, kind and accommodating! The hotel was so clean and modern, I was actually surprised how modern and upgraded the hotel is. I was hesitant booking in Solvang, as with theme of the town, I thought the hotels would be "older" and not as well kept. Boy was I wrong! This was better than some of the 5 star fancy resorts we have stayed at. The breakfast tray left at your door in the morning was not only the cutest thing ever, but so delicious! Such a great addition to this hotel! The rooms are huge and the location is perfect! So happy my family and I stayed here! Best hotel in Solvang hands down!
