We've been in Canada now for 8 days and we've had a lot of really great food, but the food at the Wolf Den was simply amazing. The atmosphere was unique. We wanted to watch a NFL game and they suggested going upstairs so we could actually listen to the game. I think there were 5 TVs. We were able to sit in comfy arm chairs and we walked around the upper floor and see all of the trophy's (see pictures). My husband had New York Steak and bacon wrapped scallops and I had their Buffalo ribs (which were to die for). If we were locals we would be regulars!

We came here on New Year’s Eve without a reservation. The staff was very accommodating and we were still able to be seated right away. For those looking for pub food the menu had a lot of options and a couple unique takes. We ordered a Mixed green salad, Gunsmoke burger and Bison Ribs. I’d recommend them all. The pricing was very fair for the portions given. This is a great place to refuel after a day on the slopes.

Made a reservation for a group of 14 and we got a big table upstairs which comfortably seated everyone. The ambience was awesome. Live music downstairs and could also watch sports upstairs. I ordered the Tatonka (Bison patty burger) with the Traditional routine and it was delicious. Probably one of the best and the biggest burgers I have had. It was perfectly cooked and so juicy. They have a good selection of beers. Service can definitely be improved. The girl who brought us our food didn't know what was exactly on the plate. Our server seemed totally uninterested in serving a large group.

Well this was my first and last time eating at this place. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a blue cheese burger with onion rings and some salt and pepper wings. The burger bun was dry! The blue cheese was definitely old it was so sour! Onion rings were super greasy and soggy - yuck! The chicken wings were burnt and most definitely cooked in old oil. Couldn’t eat the food and another waitress came to ask if we needed anything else (saw we didn’t eat the food other than a bite) got chocked at us saying “I just work here” totally get that but all we said was the food wasn’t edible. We weren’t offered a discount or nothing. 78$ for uneaten food. Never ever again will I go there. Definitely don’t recommend.

The ambiance was unique and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious and came fast. We had an elk burger and bison ribs, both were pretty good. I was pleased with the portion of the mixed greens on the side. Sticky toffee pudding was served warm, really enjoyed it.

Google
Great food, fantastic venue and the staff were amazing. Calamari was cooked perfectly, the chicken burger with avocado was perfectly cooked and the poutine hit the spot. If you are staying in golden you won’t regret having dinner or drinks here.

We came here for lunch. The terrace was beautiful and the service outstanding. They were setting up for an evening patio local band live show. The food wasn't great TBH. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. The tiger shrimp salad had wilted brown greens. The beef burger patties were like the ones you would make from frozen. Fries were the same. The bison ribs had too much BBQ sauce that overwhelmed the flavors. We saw many people and they all seemed to like the place so it is popular. Chicken burgers may be their specialty but we didn't try that.

Wings, nachos, bison ribs all incredible. Very cool space with amazing menu and super friendly staff.

Yelp
Looking for a bite to eat near our Airbnb in Golden, we stumbled upon The Wolf's Den. It was absolutely packed when we arrived, but we managed to grab a spot for two tucked away in the corner. This place is known for their burgers, and they are massive! Thick and juicy with tons of unique options in terms of toppings and flavor profiles. I opted for the Tatonka while my husband got the Grizzly. They definitely hit the spot after a long day of hiking and exploring. My husband ordered poutine for his side and I was insanely jealous because it was delicious and I wish I would've ordered it as well. I opted for their onion rings, which were tasty, but the poutine was to die for. Fast friendly service, and a nice juicy burger. What more could you want?

Yelp
We're VERY glad we returned tonight. (Tried on Sunday night, but changed our mind due to it being "band night"...too noisy for seniors.) Wolf's Den has ambiance in spades...lots of ski-lodge charm. Quite the collection of artifacts. Comfortable seating, particularly comfy upstairs. Busy place both visits. Excellent service! Friendly, professional, timely, helpful. Noah was great. Bison ribs, garlic mashed, and just right bowl (an honest "bowl"! ) of daily soup hit the spot. Finished off with the toffee dessert left us just right. We'll go again while we're here visiting Golden for a week.

Yelp
Looking for something to warm me up on a rainy weeknight and The Wolf's Den was just the ticket. The place was pretty full, but I was able to find a chair at the bar where I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff. I ordered Poutine with Montreal Smoked Meat (I had never heard of it before, but apparently it's a common regional food similar to pastrami, though less fatty), plus Chipotle Tomato Soup. The portions are huge - way too much food! But they are happy to provide to-go containers. And both were so good!

Yelp
You want great atmosphere? You want fabulous food? You want friendly waitstaff? You want a joint that is a rare find? This is the place. We were greeted by the owner, bartender, hockey coach, baseball coach, basketball coach, fill in band member, and all-around nice guy. He regaled us with the history of one of the oldest bars in Golden. Our waitress was fun and has been at The Den for many years. It was very evident all the waitstaff seemed to really enjoy working and reflected the owners fun vibe. The menu also reflected the fun atmosphere. The building has two levels accented by antiques and local wildlife. A real log cabin feeling. Also, poster homages to great NHL players. Needs more Blackhawk mementos. The menu has many burger variations including bison choices. It offers a wide selection of main courses. A wide variety of appetizers,of which the ribs were amazing. We were told that Sunday night is live music night. We plan on attending. Especially, since our waitress offered a free beer if we got up to sing. A real eclectic mix of music played from choices of the staff. It included picks from Johnny Cash to the Pouges. A must stop in Golden. But don't tell anyone. Let's keep this place our secret.

Yelp
On my first full night in Golden, I went here, and I was absolutely starving after a good day of skiing at Kickinghorse. I found the food to be excellent. I had steak and lobster. It's generally hard to complain about that but I got to be honest it was done very perfect. The server was absolutely awesome too and very friendly. I enjoyed my time so much that I went back a few nights later . It's a warm, cosy atmosphere and seems to be a pretty popular spot. If you go make sure you bring some cash because he will want to sign it and staple it to the wall.

Kweb G.

Yelp
Walked into an old log cabin look. Staff was rude! Smelled like an old bar. Didn't order went elsewhere where. Staff was rude several times even followed me out of the building to the parking lot.

Yelp
Food was so good, filling, and super tasty. Ambient inside is very lady back country style with these wacky cowboy songs. Food was delivered fast and our server gave us good suggestions and was ultra friendly. Thank you Cory!!!! I highly recommend trying out this place if you're in the area.

Yelp
This was a great dining experience! We got the Hog Heaven poutine and mixed salad and it was outstanding! Service was SO friendly by our sweet waitress. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very fun. We will return next time we are in Golden! Highly recommended.

Yelp
As a Celiac I wasn't to sure about ordering when I tried to ask my server a few questions to ensure safe preparation of my food and got the "Ya, ya, we have a option for that when we place the order" response. Decided to order anyway and see how it went. When our meals came it was brought by someone from the kitchen who declared my meal as the gluten free one when he approached the table. That made me feel a little better that the message had gotten back to the kitchen. I was a little bit concerned about cross contact when I was eating but I think that was because of the interaction with the server. I had the California Dreaming Burger on a gluten free bun with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. I was too nervous to inquire about dessert options.

Yelp
Fantastic burgers, great atmosphere, friendly people working there and good drinks. All that you want!

Yelp
I was born and raised in the beach cities of Los Angles so I've grown up having access to an assortment of very delicious food. So when I came to the tiny town of Golden, B.C I was happily surprised with what I found. Tucked away in the town center is The Wolfs Den! (great name btw) the restaurant provides very generous portions of some of the best food my tongue has tasted. They even have dairy free/gluten free options for people with sensitivities. The Tatonka with fries is my top fave and my husband loves the Hogs heaven poutine, which is the equivalent to a bbq buffet for your tongue. Honestly you can't go wrong with almost anything you order there. I highly suggest checking this place out if you're looking for some excellent food!

Yelp
Nice staff, buy burger was burnt. Still tasty though. Surprised a great burger place here burns their burgers. Mashed potatoes & IPA was tasty. Onion ring was very tasty. Food is good here. My raft guide recommended this place. A bit loud inside, buy peaceful outside on the patio. Good music.

Yelp
Great atmosphere; we were seated pretty quickly and this place was lively with live music, people chatting, and drinks being clinked together. Our taxi driver that dropped us off said that this was a local favorite and it's easy to see why. The Wapiti (Elk Burger): patty is VERY soft and pillowy, leading to a different mouthfeel that you'd expect for a burger; I found it to be very pleasant and loved the taste of it! This was my boyfriend and my's first time having game meat in Canada and we are happy to say that this burger did a fantastic job of introducing us. There were some bits where the flavor was inconsistent (some parts more sweet than others, other times more peppery), but that didn't detract from the great overall taste of the burger! The Kraken (Wolf Den Patty topped w Calamari): okay this was actually the BOMB DOT COM, there was a FLAVOR EXPLOSION that was so wild and new and delicious. There was a tanginess from the sauce, a refreshing soft / bouncy texture from calamari, the savoriness and juice from the burger patty itself. Wow. Great burger. I would highly recommend you have this. So each burger included a set of sides, so I'll review those separately. There are sides that are included for free, or you could spend a little more for a substitution or upgrade. -- Onion rings: probably the least best thing at dinner, but the entire dinner was great so I'm just nitpicking. The color and crunch and size of the rings were just right, but I think the taste could've been better. They were just too bland and plain compared to everything else on the table. I didn't finish these. -- Sweet potato / yam fries: damn good, especially when hot. I wish more places would offer sweet potato fries as a substitution for normal potato / French fries because I personally think they're great tasting. Loved the crunch and color on the ones served at the Den, I wanted to get an order of just these fries to go to snack on but my boyfriend said I probably shouldn't ... I miss them already. Moving onto dessert! We got the maple syrup pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, as recommended by our waitress. She said that this was "hands down" the best dessert they had to offer, and she was right. We were expecting the pie to be rather sweet thanks to the name, but were delighted to find that the sweetness was not overbearing in the slightest and almost savory. My boyfriend said it was probably the best thing we'd eaten in Canada so far during our trip, and he's not very big on sweet things. That's a huge compliment from him, so the Den's got this dessert thing on lock. Would definitely recommend you finish your meal with this delicious morsel. The service was amaaaazing! Really wish we got the name of our waitress, she was super helpful and always checking in. (You were pretty tall and wore glasses??) The dessert recommendation was spot on, and the whole dining experience was super smooth and enjoyable. As a whole, the Den is a local favorite that sports great eats for the traveler. I'd highly recommend stopping by here while you're in Golden. **As a note, they don't take American Express; if you plan on drinking, make sure you bring two pieces of photo ID with your birthdate on them.

Yelp
Rad spot in Golden. Interior is dope and the food is simply awesome. Simply a must check it out kids place. Our fave.

Yelp
We tried this place on our way to our Airbnb during a pit stop in Golden, BC and we were very pleasantly surprised! I ordered the salmon burger with fries ($22.99) and my partner ordered the terminator with a single patty with yam fries ($17.99 + $3 for yam fries upgrade) and we also ordered the calamari to start ($16.99). We loved all of it! The calamari was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and the burgers were super well done. The yam fries were super yummy as well. We were so full by the end of the meal and the price was quite reasonable. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a meal in golden!

Yelp
Decided to eat here based on its good reviews. Ordered the Elk Burger since I didn't know when I'd get the chance to try this kind of meat again. Our server said it was an "awesome" burger, but sadly this wasn't the case. The patty was flavourless save for a slight aftertaste similar to lamb. It was a good thing there was a generous amount of peppercorn sauce. The side of fries were old. They were barely warm. Borderline cold, actually. Elk Burger with fries costed $17.99. Pop was $4. My boyfriend had the Grizzly Burger (beef, not grizzly meat) which was better than the Elk, but still pretty mediocre. The pulled pork was the only thing you could taste. He paid an extra $4 to upgrade the side of fries to a poutine which I would not recommend anyone do. The cheese and gravy were nothing special and certainly not worth $4. It might have tasted better if the fries weren't old. Burger with fries costed $17.99. Both burgers and fries were of average portion size for most restaurants. The service was average. The server was friendly however he did not come by anytime to refill our drinks. Even when taking away our plates, I had to ask for a refill as he did not offer to. The place itself is very nice. It's a wooden lodge type restaurant. Overall, I would not return here as the food didn't taste good despite the price being slightly above average.

Yelp
I stopped at this place with my partner and a friend after biking 104 kms from Radium Hot springs. I was ready to eat and drink! I was told this place had excellent food. We ordered three entrées, 2 jugs of beer and an appetizer (totaling over $150). I also decided I would like to add on some extras to my meal as I felt like I could eat everything on the menu after biking over 100kms. I decided to get the shrimp skewers and deep fried pickles. The deep fried pickles were an extra $5 and the shrimp skewers I believe were $6. When the food came I looked at my plate and the two quarter (half of a pickle the size of my index finger) pieces of deep fried pickle on my plate that I had just ordered for $5 and figured that there must have been some mistake. I asked the waitress if I could speak to the manager. She asked if there was anything wrong? To which I replied, yes do you see these two pickle slices here that I ordered as an add on to my meal for $5, this is ridiculously priced. I asked her if this is something she would pay $5 for, and she replied probably not. She then went and got the manager. When the manager arrived I asked him the exact same question. Would you pay $5 for two small pieces of a deep fried pickle? To which he replied I don't eat deep fried pickles and I have nothing to do with the menu. He then grabbed the plate with the two $2.50 per slice pickles and said no problem we can remove these from your order and promptly left with them to dispose of them in the garbage. I don't know about you, but this was the wrong way of going about solving this issue. A. I'm a paying customer who is spending a large amount of money in your establishment B. I ordered the extras for my meal because I am hungry and I wanted them C. If as a manager you haven't eaten the food on the menu and you "don't have anything to do with menu"... then what per say, is it that you do? It surely isn't solving patrons concerns over value! I'll give this to him, he was good at ignoring the root cause of my concern and passing the buck so to speak. I work in customer service and this "resolution" if you'd like to call it that sucked. If I were the manager in this situation, I probably would have apologized to the client and asked if there was anything that we could do to make things better. To which I would have responded, yes you can start by removing the $5 charge for the the half a pickle you gave me from my already very large bill. Then you can talk with the owners about either lowering the extra charge for this minuscule meal add on, or adding a few more pickle slices to the add on item. I figure a dollar per quarter pickle sounds a bit more reasonable and fair. But Instead of just removing the charge from my bill, he decided to remove the food I had ordered from the table to throw it in the garbage. Now you have lost three customers (maybe more) and have a bad review. If I were the owner of this establishment I would throw your managers job in the garbage with your two pieces of overpriced deep fried pickles (which I can only imagine were probably pretty good). In conclusion, the food (that I did have) was good but you definitely pay a premium for it. I will not be returning and would not recommend spending your hard earned dollars at this establishment because I feel the service was lack luster and staff could use some more training or an overhaul. The End.

Yelp
Service was absolutely excellent and food was fantastic! We had the Mexican Cannelloni, Bison Ribs and Duck Salad. Live music in the summer too! Definitely recommend!!!

Yelp
It was okay. Service was good. Atmosphere was alright. Food okay. I have an issue with the mussels in miso broth. The miso broth is a thick peanut sauce. The first three mussels had not opened. When I mentioned this to the waitress, the response was "there is always some." Not the correct response!!!

Yelp
We have been here a couple times over the years. This is our MUST GO TO once while we are in golden! The staff are so friendly and very accommodating and helpful! It is a very comfortable relaxed family like vibe! The food is phenomenal we have NEVER a bad experience. Love the interior all logs! Their sister restaurant in golden is also awesome! Their menus is very gluten and dairy sensitive friendly! With a awesome cider too! My husband always goes for the terminator burger, I have tried a few things but recently the sweet chilli chicken bacon mushroom melt and it was TO GOOD TO BE TRUE. Absolutely delish! As always we will be back! If your thinking of this restaurant without a doubt you should pop in and try it!

Yelp
Nice staff but low quality food. Steak was chewy and over pricey according to the quality of the meat. Most of food is super salty. It's a nice drinking place but not for fine dining.

Tima D.

Yelp
We liked the cozy/hometown-y feel of the Wolf Den. I wasn't a huge fan of the burger (I prefer a full beef patty) but it's probably good if you're more into pork. The portion sizes were all good and the pricing was fairly reasonable. The service was quick but not pushy. Definitely recommend a jug of beer over multiple glasses if you're dining with 3+ (or 2+, let's be real) people

Yelp
Stopped here on our way home, saw the reviews and decided to try it. It was the best burger I've had in a long long time. So moist and juicy and so much flavor. Kids loved the chicken tenders and fries. And I tried my first yummy poutine. The portions are very large, we ended taking food home. I thought my burger wouldn't be as good, but it was still very yummy after reheating it. This is a must try and we're coming back next time we come through. Don't let the environment fool you, it's not a bar's I was I little sceptical at first with my young kids but I'm so glad I went in.

Yelp
For a trip through the middle of nowhere, the Wolfe's Den is definately the highlight of stuff trip. Golden is actually rather Golden, and I'm not slighting the town- I just mean it's literally in the middle of nowhere. That said finding this golden Buffalo den was a true highlight. Ok technicalities: it's bison, as Buffalo are the Asian variety of the same kind beast. So even as bison, I can't stop calling them Buffalo. Thanks a lot The food was fantastic, the portions enough to share liberally, and the ambiance was fantastic. According to a local friend though, the menus haven't changed in as long as they've been open. I know it's a big menu, but there's only a few other places to eat in town ergo there's almost no variety once you've had the fourty or so items. We had four items. That's a huge chunk of the menu if it never changes, LoL. Great food though, for sure! If you're passing through, don't miss it! Sample the beers for sure, they're great. Minus a star for the both dry and soggy old fries they served us.

Yelp
Being a Canadian, I was really craving a poutine, and of course with the help of Yelp I found this gem. The inside has a very rustic feel, with all of the furnitures and decor made out of wood. The service was great, and she introduced me to a great local beer. It was refreshing, and paired very well with my poutine. My boyfriend had a burger with fries, and he mentioned that the patty was very flavourful with a lot of juice in it. The poutine was great, especially with the sweet tangy BBQ sauce, and the mix with the pulled pork. I'm craving it right now as I write this :).

Yelp
The sandwich board outside of the restaurant boasts "World Famous Burgers" and I think they're probably telling the truth! The burgers were amazing - my travelling partner had an Elk Burger, and I had the Chicken burger with brie, and both were really great! The menu lists a bunch of different area beers, but we asked for 3 in a row that they were out of, so finally we just asked her to bring us whatever she had so we didn't waste anymore time going one by one down the beer list - I forget what she brought, but it was pretty good! There happened to be some sort of Open Mic Night going on while we were there, and it was enjoyable - just a touch loud at times as we were seated by the band! No big deal though! I will definitely make a point of stopping by The Wolf's Den again, because I want to try one of the portobello mushroom burgers! and the rock lobster burger! and the bison burger...
google avatar

Charly A.

Yelp
The waitress said she "didn't care" if my dog died of heat stroke after I Nicky asked if I could tie him up on the shady side of the restaurant. It's exactly the same as the other side of the restaurant but because of the sun angle it was in the shade. It's 90% out and the only place we are allowed to leave him is on the concert parking lot out of sight so we couldn't see him or check on him easily. Her callousness and disregard life shocked and appalled me. She should be fired
google avatar

Yelp
smokey pig poutine was worth the upgrade. the mussels were cheesy and whilst the sauce was flavourful, it overpowered the mussels taste. Elk burger was apparently really good though.

Yelp
AMAZING! My hubby and I got the burschetta, golden temple and the mac. Holy cow it was great. The building is super cute too. A lodge style building with ample outdoor seating. Very good staff and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
BURGER HEAVEN! The restaurant is lovely, the decor very fitting for the cabin look, it's cool. The atmosphere is calm, friendly and very laid back (in a good way). The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food!......BIG portion sizes! If ur a big water it'll suit you down to a T. I had The Green Monster burger...it was amazing. My bf had The Mountain Burger which he loved! I'd say a 5 star review its fitting here.

Yelp
This is a great place to go. They do so many things right. Lets start with the people, Cory our server was awesome, she is so friendly and on top of our needs. The food was served HOT my burger was right off the grill to hot to eat. I cannot remeber the last time we got our food so fast off the grill. The presentation was awesome! Very pleasing and looked so good. The taste of all of our meals were outstanding. The facility was clean and attactive with a true BC feel. So few places get a couple things right but they get them all right. This place is a must visit.

Yelp
The smoked pig poutine was on point! !! It was so delish after a long hike... perfect! we also tried the Thai chicken noodle salad, was good, but too spicy and sweet for my liking. Pool

Yelp
Amazing staff, amazing food!!!! We can't say enough about this place! Stopped here for a late night supper, 4 children and 2 adults. Found it on YELP and decided to stop in...... and they were awesome!!!!! The live music was perfect to listen to after a long drive with 4 kids, and the staff was so amazing with my children!!!! Thank you for the wonderful service tonight, it was so nice for our family to be treated so well when we r all so tired:)

Yelp
We went here for burgers as they had been recommended by a guide earlier in the day. They certainly were interesting. I got a Green Monster and what arrived was a massive stack of food with fried beans inside and an onion ring on top. And although they call it Green it's far from healthy. It was good but a bit complicated to eat and I wasn't sure what I was tasting. I'd order it again sans-jalapenos because they over powered everything. We ordered a sweet tooth burger for desert and although it looked cool it wasn't as fun to eat. I think they focused too much on the artistry of making it resemble a burger and less on the flavor profile. There was no star of the plate if you will. Visually awesome but from a taste stand point it was too complex and I would have been happy if it were a dessert slider verse a huge burger. I don't often say it was too much dessert but in this case I was a bit sick of the super sweet caramel sauce by the time I stopped eating. Overall it was a nice place. I like the wood decor. They had live music on the patio for some afternoon entertainment. I'd go back but skip dessert.

Yelp
After a day driving from Jasper along the Icefields Parkway, stumbled on this excellent pub/restaurant. Friendly, attentive service helped us find a new table when it turned out to be too cold to sit on the patio. (Btw, patio would be boss when you're dressed for it, no gas heaters that I could see). Staff were clearly in sync and having fun, a good sign. Atmosphere was rustic, wood beamed, cabiny feel - like you'd expect in a winter resort town. Now the food - it was super. GF had rib eye steak and it was 10/10, seared to perfection and seasoned expertly. I had California Dreamin' chicken burger and it was the 2nd best chicken burger I've ever had. Sides for both meals were tasty and above average. Overall a great stop in beautiful Golden, BC!

Tonya P.

Yelp
Ambiance was great as well as our server. The bison burger was perfect and flavourful, but the sauces were skimpy.
google avatar

Fatimah G.

Yelp
I'll start off with the positives - the ambiance is great and so is their beer list. The food on the other hand is terrible. Given they're known for their burgers, the least you would expect is they would make their burgers from scratch. The meat looks like the flash frozen patties you get from costco. You definitely get to choose from a wide variety of toppings, but it still didn't make up for the meat. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Yelp
Stopped in with our kids for dinner when we got into Golden. Super sweet waitress and the burgers were excellent. Highly recommend!

Yelp
A great selection of burgers - creative use of ingredients! The live jam band as part of the Sunday Howl was amazing. Definitely need to check it out. I had the elk burger that was fine but the black bean veggie burger with slices of zucchini was amazing.

Nicole W.

Yelp
Really fun atmosphere! Staff was great, super friendly! The burgers were juicy and succulent! Drinks were very tasty! Would for sure be back!

Yelp
Very Expensive and way overpriced! The food is ok at best. Service was good. It felt like a bar as much as a restaurant. The mac and cheese was out of a box, the burgers were ok. I would probably never go out of my way to go back.

Yelp
Are here tonight based on previous reviews. Great place if you like mediocre burgers, cold poutine and inattentive service. Never mind the loud boorish customers who are obviously regulars. Once was more than enough. McDonalds would have better, especially for the price. On a positive note, the rest room was clean.

Yelp
Visited Wolf's Den on the recommendation of a local, and am sure glad we did. We sat out front on the porch, which had a lively atmosphere perfect for a summer evening. Poutine was great, although we did not sample the burgers they seemed like the go-to dish of the restaurant. I had the Caesar salad, which was ok, but nothing to write home about. Also, make sure you try out the local Golden brewer the have on tap, Whitetooth. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
You only get a 5 from me when you have exceeded our expectations, and Wolfs Den did! The friendly wait staff suggested very favorable seating and we enjoyed the outdoor venue. I had the crisp huckleberry wheat and my darling enjoyed the local red. Delicious! And so perfect on a warm summer evening. But, the best was the Terminator 2 burger! My husband who loves burgers more than most (and in more than 6 decades has consumed his share) proclaimed this the best burger ever! 6 oz patties of ground prime rib on a homemade bun with delicious extras. We'll be back!

Yelp
If you are staying or passing by Golden, BC you definitely must drop by this place for dinner. We have dined here on the way from Calgary to Revelstoke as well as on the way back because it was so good. It is cozy wooden interior reminds of hunters lodge somewhere in the forest. Kitchen offers a variety of exotic meets, however we just had rib eyes both times - the best steak I've ever had (and I have tried steaks in every country every town I've ever visited ).

Yelp
This place is Awesome....Rolled in on a Sunday night to live music. Curtis the owner quickly accommodated our large group of seven. Food, beverage and service was fantastic. MUST GO when in Golden.

Yelp
Sub par and super expensive. Burgers average $20 and are not up to snuff for many burgers that average $3-$4 less. Bun is dry and crumbly. Add slow service and this is a hard pass.

Yelp
When we looked back on our week in banff/jasper/yoho we ranked our top food, hikes, lakes etc. Among our group, the burgers at Wolfs Den was the all around favorite meal of the trip. It was even better to enjoy with a tasty local beer! And, the outdoor patio was great too. I'd go back next time I'm in Golden!
