The Wooden House Lodge

This was a very nice hotel set apart from the other hotels so it is quiet at night. Walking distance to the port and to town. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also tasty and of very good qualify. The only thing to be aware of is the mosquitos. We didn't have any problems on the other islands but had numerous bites on this island so make sure to bring repellent. Some of the rooms didn't have screens so mosquitos at night in the rooms were a problem. I recommend this hotel with that caveat.

We had a fantastic experience staying at The Wooden House Lodge during our visit to Isabela Island. Although we only stayed for one night, the hospitality left a lasting impression. The owner was incredibly helpful and caring, ensuring that all our needs were met and going above and beyond to make us feel at home.||The lodge itself is charming, with a cozy atmosphere and all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was convenient for exploring the island, and the staff provided excellent recommendations for activities and dining.||We couldn’t be happier with our stay and highly recommend The Wooden House Lodge to anyone visiting Isabela Island. Had a great stay at Wooden House on Isabela Island! The rooms were comfortable and stylish, and the staff was super friendly. While it's not right by the beach, it's still a fantastic spot with a relaxing atmosphere and a nice pool and bar. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Wooden House. The rooms were large, comfortable and had good amenities. It is very close to the dock (with great snorkeling right at the dock!) and an easy bike ride or 15 minute walk into the main town. The staff were very nice and the food was wonderful. The entire place was very clean and had a welcoming and comforting atmosphere. If you visit Isabela Island this is a great place to stay!

Had the privilege of eating dinner here. The service team are fantastic, warm and accommodating. Chef Julie’s food was delicious. Thank you Dolka for taking such good care of us! Highly recommend this place!

The wooden house is a hidden gem. Family run and very kind, also clear communication which we really appreciated after a few days of miscommunication with our tour company. The rooms are recently renovated and gorgeous. Comfortable beds with cozy linen and beautiful wood structures everywhere. Their daily breakfast is delicious and changes; we had dinner there one evening and it was really good as well with many options. The hotel manager was awesome and helpful while we were there. Walking distance downtown and to many sightseeing spots. It’s about 100m from the marina which is also very convenient. Highly recommend!

The Wooden House was a perfect stay in Isabela! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Carlos the manager was very accommodating during our stay. There is cute courtyard and balcony to relax after busy mornings. The breakfast each morning was fantastic! They even have snorkel equipment you can rent for very fair price during your stay. Perfect spot for great vacation!

The wooden house provides a very nice refuge after all of the exciting Galapagos excursions. It provided a nice breakfast, has a full bar, small swimming pool, laundry, service, a line for drying your own clothes and strong Wi-Fi. The staff was truly lovely and extremely helpful. they called us taxis whenever we needed one, let us use their dryer.|The downsides that we noticed were that the room was a little bit small, and the location of the hotel is close to the dock and walking distance to town but not the most central. There were many hotels that were much closer to the beach.
