The Woodhouse Bar & Grill

We both had a fantastic aged Black Angus Beef Porterhouse. My Medium Rare was cooked to perfection, the bone marrow jus and selection of hot and grain mustard were a delicious complement to the meal. The roasted potatoes added a nice balance to the dish. Impressive setting with attentive service, it's a great venue to visit.

Wow, what can I say.... melt in your mouth meat.. What a meal, well cooked, well presented, great staff... great atmosphere. Highly recommend for the experience and the meat 🍖 👌

Went there for dinner on public holidays and the restaurant was fully booked and we sat on the bar area which was quite nice and the service was great. We ordered the steak is medium and come up with over cooked steak and really chewy. The best part is desserts which we’re happy with. Not happy with the money we spent $230 for over cooked steak. Some pub can cook better than this restaurant and cheaper prices.

Visited the The Woodhouse over Easter weekend and the overall experience was sensational. The only slight disappointment were the Zucchini Blossoms which were bland and quite mushy. We also had the pork belly which was crispy and flavourful and the sourdough was to die for. Both of our Eye Fillets were cooked to perfection (1 Blue and 1 Medium rare) and melted in your mouth. Quite possibly one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. We ordered the dessert tasting plate to finish, this was exceptional and very reasonably priced, we shared this between two which was more than enough after our starters, main and sides. Service was fantastic, all of the staff were very pleasant and attentive even though they restaurant was packed full.

Had our anniversary dinner at the Woodhouse and we were blown away. The food exceeded our expectations and the service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Dined here for lunch whilst in Bendigo for the day. we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We ordered the prawn spring rolls, zucchini flowers, burrata, porterhouse steak and desert plate. Every dish was exceptional. We also had a glass of the Chianti and Malbec. Both were as good as each other. The wait staff were friendly and attentive.

Had a lovely evening dining at Woodhouse Bar & Grill. The atmosphere was perfect for date night, although we found the temperature inside too warm for us. We started with the truffle honey brioche toast which was average unfortunately. However we enjoyed the sher wagyu porterhouse which we paired with a side of portobello mushrooms. The mushrooms were so juicy and plump and very nicely complemented the steak. Steak was well-seared and full of flavour, but the bone marrow jus was a bit bland and didn’t add much to the dish. The dessert platter had some hits and misses, but overall it was still great way to finish the night. Service was also very attentive throughout the night. Would love to come back for a nice steak meal in the future!

Took Dad there for his birthday. The service from Tori was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, she answered all our questions re food and drink with an obvious high level of knowledge about the items on the menu and wine list. The food was fantastic, presented very well and extremely tasty. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Bendigo.
