I recently coordinated a wedding at The Woodhouse Lodge, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The venue itself is stunning — warm, stylish, and surrounded by such beautiful scenery — but what truly made my experience exceptional were the people. Kendra and Mallory were an absolute dream to work with. From the earliest stages of coordinating to the very last moment of the couple's wedding day, they were responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making the day everything the couple hoped for. The entire staff at The Woodhouse Lodge went above and beyond. They were professional, friendly, and attentive, making the guests feel welcomed and cared for. Everything ran so smoothly — the couple didn’t have to worry about a single thing on their wedding day. I can’t recommend The Woodhouse Lodge enough. If you’re looking for a gorgeous venue with an incredible team behind it, this is the place!

Had the wedding of our absolute DREAMS here. Guests from all over couldn't stop commenting on how much they loved the venue and how special it all felt and that is all due to the amazing team. Mallory the Director of Venue Operations is the definition of DO-er energy. She was so supportive and excited by all the things we were doing to make the wedding ours. She made us feel genuinely so taken care of and the whole weekend (my heart melted when she brought me non-alcoholic champagne so I could do a toast with my husband after our first look—I don't drink and I get so overlooked especially in a wedding environment lol). It was also incredibly special staying at the venue with friends and family. The Bridal Loft is to die for, I really miss it! Can't recommend this venue enough. It's a special one for sure!

We are so happy we chose The Woodhouse Lodge for our wedding weekend! The property is beautiful, the vibe is relaxed and fun, and it was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. On top of that, working with Mallory made the whole experience incredible. From the moment we booked all the way through the wedding weekend, she was so calm yet completely on top of every detail. She answered all of our questions, coordinated logistics and deliveries, and even provided thoughtful touches like décor items for our favors. She also went above and beyond at our rehearsal dinner when fewer guests arrived, making sure food didn’t go to waste by packing it up for us to eat later. On the wedding day itself, we didn’t have to worry about a thing because Mallory and the venue had everything handled. We couldn’t imagine a better place or a better team to work with. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing.

I worked at the Woodhouse Lodge for a client's wedding, and the venue was gorgeous, the staff were absolutely lovely and did a fantastic job of staying flexible despite multiple curveballs during the day. The grounds are well maintained with a spaces for rehearsal dinners, after parties, a cozy fire pit, and the lodge itself had well maintained rooms and the bridal suite upstairs is gorgeous with lots of natural light (great for photos!) Mallory was a joy to work with and an overall great venue coordinator, highly recommend Woodhouse Lodge for your wedding venue needs!

My wife and I got married at the WHL in June 2025 and it was a true dream come true! Mallory was amazing to work with from touring the venue, to months of planning and finalizing, to being our MVP on wedding day. I can say with 100% certainty that things would not have all gone off without a hitch without her! We couldn't have asked for a better venue coordinator, who will make sure everything is done, whether according to plan or thinking quick to solve an unexpected wrench in the works! And all of this while we got to just enjoy our day :) We truly could not have felt more taken care of all weekend. If you are looking for a beautiful, intimate place to have a wedding or any large gathering, look no further for the coziest, most welcoming location with the best staff.

My wife and I along with our baby visited Woodhouse Lodge recently, and absolutely loved our trip. We planned a couple days getaway and unfortunately it was quite cold and rainy for end of May (40s... wow) but that didn't dampen our experience one bit. We were greeted upon arrival to a seamless check-in (our room was even ready hours before our scheduled check-in) and were given plenty of suggestions of things to do and see in the surrounding area. While our trip was rather short, we chose to spend a day walking around Hudson (~30 minute drive) and ended both nights at the Woodhouse Pizza restaurant next door which has a fantastic menu. Everything we ordered was great to say the least. We tried a couple different pizzas that we loved - don't sleep on the sides / small plates either. The hotel also has a very welcoming space with a common fireplace to enjoy, s'mores provided upon check-in, and a kitchen / lounge area for the guests to enjoy (packed with all kinds of games, items to purchase, and just overall good vibe). We spent plenty of time enjoying the outdoors, sitting by the fire which was a perfect touch. The service was also outstanding from the beginning of our stay through the end. Fresh coffee and breakfast to order in the mornings, and always a welcome conversation about anything from the hotel's history, to activities and experiences to get into while visiting. An outstanding wedding venue, I'm sure. But also a cozy, quaint spot to getaway and take in all that Upstate NY has to offer. Thank you so much, Woodhouse! We will be back soon, without a doubt!

The venue itself is beautiful — a great mix of rustic charm and modern touches. The Lodge is situated in a peaceful setting, making it feel like a private getaway for our big day. Many of our guests commented on how charming and inviting the space was. One thing we kept coming back to was the personalized care from the staff. They were always there when we needed them and took the time to ensure everything went according to plan. It felt like they genuinely cared about making our day special. Home away from home vibes! Rooms are cozy and comfortable. The staff are friendly and efficient. Bonfires and s'mores are a must. The tavern also offers various snacks/appetizers and a delicious selection of homemade pizzas!

This is a great place for an intimate getaway. The service and food was amazing and rooms were cozy and had great designs. We loved the daily bon fires and afternoon snacks. The only downside was that there are not many restaurants/activities in the area to visit, its definitely more of a place to have a cozy stay in. We would love to come back!

Woodhouse lodge restaurant, I ordered a large pizza for takeout service,I went to pick up and realized my bill was $28.00 and I questioned charge,the cashier advised they added 20% service fee,I advised staff this order was a pick up for takeout and I refused the service fee as I was not eating inside the restaurant. Staff understood and removed fee. Also tipping is upon discretion based on wait staff service etc. The pizza was overdone and sauce was a bit tangy, dough had good texture, in today's inflation you expect excellence and tonight this was not excellence. The owners need to add excellence on food rather than trying to nickel and dime clients. Usually tipping is added to 4 and 5 star restaurant and this Woodhouse lodge does not meet those expectations.

Called to order some pizza's and was told I had to Order online. They don't take phone orders. Very inconvenient for pizza. Let's talk about the pizza. Horrible! Semi burnt and 80% sauce. Barely any cheese on any of the pizza's we ordered. I did not ask for a tomato sauce pie! Will not be returning.

Woodhouse is an amazing gem of a property in the Northern Catskills. My fiance and I booked the A-frame suite during our wedding weekend at a nearby venue and hosted a Friday night welcome drinks and Saturday post-wedding after party at Woodhouse. Both events were spectacular and we really appreciated help from Mallory and Holly. Many of our family and friends stayed on-site and we all enjoyed the super comfortable beds, modern furnishings, beautiful property, delicious pizza at the restaurant, and friendly staff (Allison was particularly lovely at the check-in area!). Our after party featured a bonfire with pizza, a cooler full of natural wine and local beer, and s'mores -- it was everything we'd hoped for and more. I wholeheartedly recommend the Woodhouse as a great hotel to stay in for a vacation or to host a big event -- particularly wedding weekend events as we did. (Additionally, my mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, and I all got our hair and makeup done in the A-frame suite, which has plenty of space and amazing natural light for a wedding day bridal suite.)

This is a concept that is perfect in ideas, but execution is horrible. Our room had no AC and when I went to tell them, the response was oh yea, someone mentioned that two weeks ago. The price point at over $420 a night provided no housekeeping, an outdated bathroom and a campy vibe that lacked. Amenities included a flyswatter. So if camping plus at $420 is your thing? Then book.
