Went to the Woolpack in Bermondsey Street, London today for a roast.
We loved the seating in our own box, and that our dog was able to join us.
However, it was not clear how you would order food, as no one seemed to come to the table. So we ended up going to the bar to order everything.
We ordered roast and they came out 10 minutes later. This was really fast and the food needed to be hotter as it was luke warm. The food was good.
When we came to ordering dessert they seemed to have ran out even though it was so early on in the day. Therefore, we suspected that the numbers were not properly looked at for potential food orders. We were going to nothing and go elsewhere, when they said they had sticky toffee pudding which was nit on the menu. On the online menu it said it was £6, but it was over £8 which surprised us.
Something that is really important to me is accessibility due to my disabilities. One of the main reasons for my 3 star review is because of the things above and the quite obvious lack of support of facilities for me.
Be prepared that there is not a lot of room to negotiate around the place. The men’s toilets were very unfriendly, tight, and inappropriate for someone like me. There is no accessible toilet, which would have made the trip here a lot better and less awkward.
I was shocked at the price of lemonade and blackcurrant, as a non-alcoholic drinker, it was nearly as much as my friend’s pint. 🍺
I feel the pub could make changes to accommodate people with disabilities.
Also, the menu is very much geared toward vegans and vegetarians.
