We had the best dinner in Revelstoke, out server Sarah was amazing! We had duck, bison, carpaccio and the charcuterie board and every single bite was remarkable. Left so happy and satisfied, we had such a hard time to find good food in town but they were the best. Will be back!

Google
The evening was made most enjoyable because of Sara - our waitress was amazing. She went out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect. We had several appetizers for dinner. Each one was spectacular. The chef - Miguel out did himself. I gave the ingredient list for a cocktail that we wanted and she willing created it for us. We will definitely be going back to this gem of a restaurant.

Google
Great service and really tasty food. Pricing is a bit high but overall a really great experience. The Caesar was not very good, put the rum mojitos were amazing. The pork belly you could cut with a fork, was delicious. The saffron muscles were also very good. The chicken and mushroom risotto was very good, and we added a piece of fish that was picked perfectly.

After a long drive, we wanted to treat ourselves. This one stood out with their tempting menu. The appetizers called out to us. Mussels, scallops, pork bellly, fried polenta. All were flavorful with bread to sop up the flavors. Baked zucchini was tasty too. We left room for dessert, a perfect creme brulee. Service was nice, the decor is pretty and welcoming.

Google
Definitely not a place full or larger groups and not a well-trained waitstaff. Had a reservation for a big group and waited, waited, waited for food to come out on what seems to be a half full restaurant. Waitress was nice to start, but very snarky when food finally came out (2 1/2 hour after seated) and told her I thought my meal was a little cold. Later came back at the end and told us we should have ordered ahead, even though person coordinating our reservation had confirmed with the restaurant that day. Same sized group has been to other restaurants in town without any issues so would recommend looking elsewhere.

Google
Great food! Hidden gem, dont walk by, the restaurant may look a bit kitsch, but the food is great. We tried 4 different dishes, they were all good, notably the duck, which had fantastic flavours I havnt experienced before. Points of improvement: Let the server come by more often to offer a drink, and make the portion size a bit larger.

Google
Came in for a girls dinner out and we weren’t disappointed. Tried the gravlax, carpaccio and squash salad and the flavors were great on all dishes- my friends said the same of theirs. The sticky date pudding was beyond expectations. Our server Sarah was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations.

Google
Food was average, but we waited for an hour before our dishes arrived :/ Took 30 min for the server to take our order and another 40 min to get our food. I understand the restaurant may be understaffed, but would’ve appreciated if they limited the seating to match the staff or gave a discount considering how long we waited. The food wasn’t bad - we got the burger, pasta, and crème brûlée for dessert Parking on site. Make sure to make reservations beforehand!

Yelp
After a long day of skiing, we like to be "wow'd" by the local chefs and the chef at Woolsey's didn't disappoint. The food is outstanding. Started with the soup of the day, tomato - tandoori soup, followed by entree of the steelhead trout with local mushroom, roasted pistachios, roasted potatoes all over a puree pea & mint. We were over the top thrilled with these flavors. Our other friend had braised beef (8 hrs) which as fabulous. Started with roasted Brussel sprouts, bacon, celery root, turnip root - blown away with how these flavors worked together, delicious. Our server was wonderful & went over and beyond to make sure we had a great evening & wonderful dining experience. Charming corner restaurant, lovely decorations, art and light throughout. We highly recommend.

Yelp
Friendly, attentive service and wonderful food. I had the chicken confit, mushroom risotto and vegetable. Nicely plated with all elements pleasuring those old taste buds. Comfortable seating which allowed the four of us to converse. A fine before dinner cocktail and a glass of wine to compliment the experience.

Yelp
This month was our first time eating at the new Woolsey Creek. We were sad to see it closed this past summer and it was at the top of our Revy dining out list for winter! The food was quite good - maybe not *quite* as complex as the menu made the dishes out to be, but they provided quality ingredients that were decently prepared/plated. Sadly, the waitstaff service was lacking. The restaurant was not, by any stretch of the imagination, busy. Perhaps they were incredibly understaffed. I know that January can be a weird shoulder season month in eastern BC. I asked for a wine menu halfway through our meal. The wait person forgot and then finally brought it 20 minutes later (the next time they stopped at our table). I ordered a glass of wine 10 minutes later (when they next came to check on us). I never received the wine. The main course arrived (delivered by a different waitstaff member) and, over the course of 40 minutes, no one checked on us. The wait person then had the gall to try and make small talk with us as we were trying to pay our check. We will probably return, but I really hope that their hospitality training and staffing issues get sorted sooner rather than later.

Yelp
Went here the first night in Revelstoke. They have a small private parking lot. Ambiance is slightly casual fine dining. My favorite thing there was the Roots and Kale salad. It had really fresh crunch kale with all kinds of roots. Beets, yams, carrots. Roasted pepita seeds added a nice little flavor. The charcuterie board was impressive. Home made tapenade, several cheeses, mustard, chorizo, dried fruit, home made pickled veggies, and once again the roasted pepitas. Sad they were out of the braised beef shank that night. Reportedly the ribs were pretty good. The stuffed chicken was also reportedly pretty good. The salmon was cooked nicely but I'm not a big fan of pureed pees. Should've remembered that before I ordered it. The pesto pasta was very creamy, to the point it made me think of alfredo. The star of the pesto was the mushrooms though. We were too full to try desserts.

Yelp
We were recommended to come to this restaurant while we were staying Revy. What a wonderful recommendation! The food was simply sensational, the service - impeccable, and very reasonably priced!! It was simply amazing!!

Jessica G.

Yelp
Wow just had the tapas Tuesday special at Wolsey and it blew my mind, Wosley is long-standing but the taps special is NEW and off the hook!! The service was amazing, honestly ordered every one of the tapas x 3 special prices are amazing! We practically licked the plate and ordered seconds! The pork belly was tender and it came with an incredible roasted fennel, the arancini came with the most delicious sauce, you think deviled eggs would be basic but it came with crispy onions and was so creamy blew my mind, I could go over every appetizer but just order them all you won't be disappointed. Tapas at Wolsey made my day! Thank you sorry no pictures we ate it all so fast lol

Veronica K.

Yelp
Food was very good. Three of us had the pasta of the day (risotto). One had the trout and one has the lamb. All of the food was delicious. We also had creme brulee and chocolate mousse. A very enjoyable dinner. Our waitress was very nice. Great evening.

Warren L.

Yelp
Came to Revelstoke for a ski trip and made this our pick for the Saturday meal. My party of 5 could not have asked for a better experience. The food was all fantastic, plus our serve Andre was so wonderful and seasoned. Our favorite thing was probably the mussels, although the duck and scallops were spectacular. Lastly if you like wine and chacuterie you'll love this place (even if that's all you get). I didn't take any pics of the food, but I did snap a photo of this epic bear art. The walls are covered in fun art by local artists and I think may be for sale. In short: perfect restaurant for a special night out and great for groups.

Yelp
This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. Food was great and our server was attentive and was hustling with 5 tables on the patio. A must do when pass they Revelstoke!

Rob B.

Yelp
Good spot that checks all of the boxes. Beef shank and apps were great, so was service. Definitely recommend.

Darin W.

Yelp
Fantastic evening out, the service is top notch and the food is spectacular. Definitely a place you need to visit. you wont be disappointed...

Kimberly D.

Yelp
I highly recommend this restaurant. There is true artistry in the food and the dishes were a great culinary experience. We came here on the last night of our 8 day trip and I wish we came sooner. It was both of our first times having elk dumplings and they were amazing! The wrappers were thick enough to hold the filling and had a nice texture. The elk filling was flavorful and moist. Next time I am in Revelstoke I'll be sure to order multiple plates of the elk dumplings. I'm not a vegan but cauliflower steak with cashew cream sauce was hearty and so flavorful. I didn't know that cauliflower could be prepared in such a manner. It had a nice crust on the outside but was tender in the middle just like steak. He had the short ribs which were fall apart tender and almost melted in your mouth. Again it was a flavorful dish and nothing short of wonderful.

Kris L.

Yelp
fine dining in an eclectic environment in Revelstoke. We started with the lentil soup, very good homemade taste and came with crusty French bread plus the wait staff brought some gluten free crackers for one of us. Bison short rib fell right off the bone and came with a generous amount of broccolini, local baby carrots ( real ones) and mashed potato. Husband had the duck and said it was the best duck he has had. The flourless choc cake was good but could have been moister, Gelato with whisky sauce was interesting and the whiskey sauce actually went really well with the chocolate cake. The atmosphere is a mix of contemporary tables and chairs and Southeast Asian style booths with cushions that you sink into. We sat in one of the booths, which was novel at first but a bit uncomfortable towards the end of our meal. Ask for a table instead. Service was just the right mix of attentiveness.

Yelp
Ate here last evening and must say it was an unexpected and the most wonderful dinner we've had on the road. Bar none, the food here easily rivals any first class restaurant you'd find in any large metropolitan city. The high quality of the food and technical preparation, down to the plating was flawless ! This chef is innovative and talented. The wait staff are delightful and knowledgeable. We'd give them more than 5 stars if that was possible. Don't miss the opportunity to eat here when in Revelstoke, BC.

Mykel M.

Yelp
We just had dinner here for our third night in Revelstoke. We had the dragon boat bruschetta to start which was excellent and was served in a unique wooden dish. I had the bison ravioli. While the blue cheese demi glacé made it very rich, it was delicious and the portion size was just right. The rest of my family had the salmon, short rib and chicken supreme. Everyone loved their meal. The chocolate truffle was also great. We will certainly return on our next ski trip or when we drive through to Calgary. Great service too. The draught selection could be better, but they did have some good bottled choices.

Alison G.

Yelp
Everything was excellent. Cauliflower with cashew cream entree was to die for. I asked for extra sauce and they promptly brought me some. Bison ravioli entrée was also absolutely delicious. Service was fantastic. Crème brûlée and Apple date crumble with ice cream were also excellent. This is the kind of place where I wanted to order everything on the menu.

Steve T.

Yelp
The food was quite delicious, with an interesting menu. We started with the bison meatballs $12. Nicely cooked with a mild sweet habanero sauce. Great start. We had chicken supreme rubbed with coffee and bacon jam $24. Lemongrass tuna with pineapple jam $23. Both were tasty with healthy portions. I would definitely recommend the chicken. Interesting restaurant decor. I can only describe it as worldly.

Sarah C.

Yelp
Excellent food, upscale feel, but has some "regular" not so upscale items as well. The group I went with quite enjoyed what they had. It's a bit further off the "main street" area, but search it out and I think you'll be quite happy about this choice for dinner.

RK K.

Yelp
Food was satisfactory, very poor service!! We got there 30min early and the server gave me a hard time even though there were empty tables. Then they sat our group in the corner where we barely got any attention. The servers had very little knowledge. For the price we paid, we felt poorly treated. Food was good but not great. I don't think we'll be going back...

Shannon A.

Yelp
Simply stated we love this joint in revelstoke. Great wine, great service and fantastic choices (beef short ribs and duck are amazing. Pasta was a bit smokey for me). I would venture here again... our third trip to Revy and we keep coming back. Ignore the exterior and enjoy your meal!

Ailin K.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The chef sure knows how to cook ! From appetizer to entree, everything was beyond expectation. We got the beef ravioli and du wop?(African stew) as entree and Wolsey salad for starter. Ingredients are fresh and every dish was well prepared and seasoned to perfection. This place is pricy, but given the quality of food , it's well worth the splurge :) and give some pampering to your tastebuds!

Dominique W.

Yelp
The best restaurant in Revelstoke. My favorite restaurant in Revelstoke. I've been here quite a few times and have been very impressed every single time, save one. If you are looking for interesting, creative, beautiful, and most importantly, delicious, dishes you are certain to find them here. My favorite thing on the menu used to be the Jambalaya, but I hear they've taken it off, which is sad.. However, the bison or the filet have bother been excellent. I've also had the chicken here, and a large selection of their soups (the wild mushroom/chanterelle was the best). I highly recommend this place if you're traveling anywhere near Revelstoke.

Jeff S.

Yelp
Wonderful creative menu! I had Tuna Curry with strawberries and some other ingredient you wouldn't expect - excellent. Great service and atmosphere as well.

John H.

Yelp
Holy expensive. Over $500 for a table of 5, after they removed two of our entrees as they completely blew the steaks as ordered, and sides. Our drink order sat on the bar for 15 minutes, I asked about it twice and was about to get up and retrieve it myself when our server finally clued in. Maybe I hit them on a bad day but I'll never know as I won't be back. Food was small portions, but good. Too bad the spotty service and high cost don't go so well together.

Wincy L.

Yelp
Quality food and very friendly service! I came for dinner with our family of six, and we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. Food portions were perfect and delicious! Compliments to the chef:)

Brian N.

Yelp
Amazing Food. Hats off the the Chef and kitchen staff. Too bad any great culinary experience doesn't rest only in the quality of the food. Honestly if quality of food was the only criteria this would be easily a five star meal. Unfortunately the wait staff determined as soon as we walked in that we were in the wrong place. I am not sure if it was that we brought our well behaved children or that we were in jeans and comfortable cloths. I'm pretty sure it must be the kids since many other guests were wearing jeans, shorts, and other normal road trip type clothing. I may be wrong, my jeans were bought at Costco and not Abercrombie & Fitch. The moment we walked in we got the up and down look of "seriously you must be in the wrong place". After being seated we were given menus then basically left to fend for ourselves. After an extended period of waiting we finally ordered. One drink was all we were allowed apparently, we were never asked if we wanted more drinks. After we finished our meals (all of us) we waited a good 25 minutes before being asked if we would like to see a dessert menu. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived and was only beginning to fill up as we finished. No explanation for the service other than we were pre-cast before we sat and were never given the chance to enjoy the experience. Absolutely amazing food!!!

Martha P.

Yelp
I was impressed! A funky little place that delivered big time! Had NY sirloin ( the scalloped potatoes were awesome)- a very nice piece of meat. The venison chops were delish- had to hold back from eating the second one since I wanted leftovers (and I was full). The farro risotto was unique and I can't wait to try at home- if mine is half as good, I'll be happy. The vanilla gelato with expresso shot ( and some liquor that I can't recall) was a perfect ending. Wish we were here longer- the menu was definitely worth revisiting!

Michael B.

Yelp
Go for the food and friendly service, not the decor! The food is exceptional. I had the free range chicken with bacon jam stuffing on risotto. Wow! The house salad is exceptional too. Unpretentious, great food.

Gary G.

Yelp
A real treasure for excellent tasting food with a nice presentation. Small, intimate setting nicely decorated. Friendly service. A very enjoyable dinner spot.

David T.

Yelp
Best restaurant by far in Revelstoke. And a delightful surprise for a small town. Interesting menu. Great presentation and balance of flavours. They do duck very well. Lots of good stuff. We ate there 4 times in the week we were in Revelstoke.

Joe P.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible. Cold soup. Warm salad. Cold steak and colder asparagus. And it took an hour and a half. Maybe being from Southern California make me spoiled for good food. This place was just dreadful.

sheila m.

Yelp
Not much curb appeal but super great food and service. There's an amazing photo of an eagle in flight with just the right amount of lighting when you enter that combined with enticing smells tells you that you made the right decision to try it. Cauliflower steak with cashew sauce was best I ever had. Keep thinking about it and I'm not even vegan. My husband had the short ribs. Great ipa too.

Salamander J.

Yelp
A foodie place. Excellent menu in a mat varnished pseudo-sauna dining space. The faux fountain is a bit like a 12 year old middle school project, but the taste of rabbit pastry makes up for lack of interior insight. Great tastes. The beef ravioli was cold though and much to heavy on the balsamic wine reduction. However, I think u would be hard pressed to find better food in town. Problem is the staff seemed rushed.

Josh L.

Yelp
Food was amazing!! Great atmosphere and excellent service. The dishes were really presented in a way I never expected. The salad was fresh and the dressing was the best part. I had the stuffed farm chicken and was extremely pleased with everything on the plate. Will definitely be coming back in the future

Stephanie C.

Yelp
After 4 years in Revelstoke, this was one of the only places I hadn't eaten. I can't believe I waited so long! The food was amazing. I had the duck, and it was cooked perfectly. Crispy skin and just a touch of pink inside. The Rosemary meatballs as an apply were also fantastic! The service was great. The staff really knew the food they were serving (a rarity with all the temporary workers in town) and were very attentive.

Karen N.

Yelp
Just wow. We ate at some mighty fine (and extremely expensive) upscale restaurants while vacationing in the Canadian Rockies, but understated Woolsey Creek was my favorite. The rabbit appetizer with phyllo was sublime, unforgettable, as was the haloumi salad, and my venison. The only dish that wasn't absolutely stellar (but was still good) was the bison short ribs -- not a lot of flavor, but we find bison that way typically and probably shouldn't have ordered. Overall, it was a wonderful meal, and I'm sorry I didn't have room for dessert. I sure wish I lived in the area so I could go back again!

Scott R.

Yelp
Great spot. Baked Brie, Ravioli and Grilled Prawns were amazing.

Colm M.

Yelp
I've lived in Revelstoke for a long time but have never made it down to the woolsey creek until today. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise with delicious food and friendly waiters. I ordered the bison short ribs and was impressed by the taste and texture of the meat. For desert I ordered the creme brûlée and was pleased to see it lived up to the level of the bison. Great restaurant for anyone looking for a nice sit down relax dinner

Rudi B.

Yelp
Fantastic!!!! We had chicken and steak dishes. As well as scallops. Everything was 5 star. The scallops and the chicken were both amongst the best I've ever had.... For fine dining these are great prices too. Highly recommended. Will return at every opportunity.

Karilyn K.

Yelp
This is the best restaurant in Revelstoke. The food is thoughtful and well-presented and the appetizers are spot on. The beef tenderloin is spectacular, as is the beef ravioli. The cardamom chicken is organic free-range and tastes great. There's quite a good wine selection. It really is a special place. It's not at all snotty, like a reviewer below mentions. The service is a bit formal, but that's what I want when I'm out for a nice dinner. They know a lot about the food and wine they're serving.

Konrad F.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Well worth the time to stop in and enjoy. Venison off the charts.

Andrea S.

Yelp
I grew up in Revelstoke, and was visiting my parents , and noticed this higher end restaurant we have not tried before, and to treat them on our last night. (July 3, 2013)I made a reservation for my parents and boyfriend for a Wednesday night,I asked for a table by the window. When we were seated, the tables were a booth by the window and the front there part where your legs swing in, was blocked by this wooden piece attached to the seat, so when you get in the booth, you had to "climb in" - awkward,! AND.. These cushions were on the benches that are uncomfortable, and you sat really low, and you but was sitting on the crack of these pillows! Very awkward for 4 people! We ended up getting a table. The waitress didn't seem impressed, oh well!. Ok... To the ordering.. Wait for it.. our waitress came over and asked our order.. ( she wrote it down by the way).. about 6-7 min later she comes up to us and went up to my dad and asked what he ordered again, she couldn't read her writing, then she asked us all again what we all ordered.. okey dokey.. Fine, 10 min later she asked us all again!! 3 times now! What the heck? ..she talked really slow and she seemed to be not " there". We were pretty flabbergasted! when they got us water , the water was tepid , No ice! Really? It July in Revelstoke and 30+ degrees,, we asked for some ice, the hostess seemed perturbed, ( we got a small bowl of ice and a spoon) . We ended up getting another small bowl, as we went through the 1st one in like 5 seconds,. when I ordered my drink, at the same time as my meal, I had to remind them, as I never got it before or after my meal, and either did my mom, when we mentioned this , their answer "it's coming,,! "Two things that may be excuses were, we overheard another waitress tell our waitress on the ordering system, So 1) waitress, 2) our waitress said their printer wasn't working.... Hmm. Ok. ,.... Food was good though [my bf and I are picky Vancouver foodies),... service: What the???? Food: good .
