Dubai's Man-made Islands: Everything You Need to Know

"An archipelago of some 260 small islands laid out like a world map that stalled after the 2008 financial crisis and faced erosion concerns, later partially revived by a themed development (Heart of Europe) that plans six high-end European-style islands due by 2026; visitors can already stay at a French Riviera–inspired hotel on one of the main islands featuring a beach, live entertainment and a climate-controlled street that can simulate rain and snow, reachable by about a 15-minute boat ride from the nearby palms." - Danielle Berman Danielle Berman Danielle Berman is a lifelong Jersey girl, travel journalist, and marketing professional in the hospitality and publishing space. I went here a couple of years ago for some projects and I must say nothing is impossible in Dubai after visiting here. What a marvelous achievement of human marvels. Huge construction and most of the projects are already operational and you can enjoy holiday with a great views. Absolutely stunning and one of the most admirable places made by humans.

This is a place one should never miss visiting , we booked our day pass from Groupon and headed to this island by a ferry . It was wonderful ferry ride to reach this place. We made so many memorable memories here the pool with bubble bath , the beach the raining street the restaurant everything around makes you forget everything and you just keep on enjoying . We will definitely visit this place again in future .

"The World" represents a glaring example of human presumption over nature, with objectively kitschy and failed results. This urban design, instead of celebrating the diversity and beauty of nature, embodies a distorted form of human grandiosity. The entire project is "crowned" by significant environmental damage, caused by dredging ocean sands for its construction, compromising biodiversity and the balance of marine habitats. "The World" illustrates how human presumption can lead to grandiose yet harmful projects that irreparably damage the environment and undermine natural values. Rather than celebrating nature and "the world," this project degrades it and turns it into a mere kitschy tourist attraction.
