A wonderful place. Good food & drink. Very nice view. Friendly staff with excellent service.

Went for a lunch and I was surprised on how good the food & service were. The seafood platter was generous - could feed 2 people. Chips were absolutely delicious!

A lovely place to go to, particularly when sitting next to the Lake. Lovely staff, delicious coffee, and while avoiding the "AFL Finals" today 🙄, a very relaxing place to have a delicious pudding 🤗

Had a Sunday lunch at this venue. There are ample tables inside and outside and we were seated quickly. My husband ordered the open lamb souvlaki. It was quite low on the meat portion and the lamb tasted oven-roasted rather than the normal grilled, but it was ok. I ordered the capsicum/feta tart and was very disappointed as it was an eggy quiche! 98% egg with no feta in sight and very little capsicum, and smelled eggy too. The accompanying salad was cheap green supermarket leaves with 3 pieces of tomato and some slivers of onion and cucumber. Not good at all. Also the wait staff did not know enough about the wines on the menu.

What a terrible experience. When we walked in young boy who had no clue tried to tell us we didn't have a reservation. Asked the name three times asked how many people twice. Then directed us to a table for three when our booking was for four, we had to get our own chair to fix this. I have never seen so many staff trying to look busy doing nothing before. No came to take our orders I had to flag down a non caring teenager. Food was average fish was slimy, lettuce soggy. Had to twice wave down for a water refill only to be given soapy tasting water and was mirky. Tried to pay was ignored until by all 10 staff that were pretending to do something while doing nothing at all. Left and had dessert else where. Was not worth the $120 bill, what a waste. Will not return.

Quick stop whilst on a road trip - instant service and greetings from staff - choice of seating - highly accommodating & much appreciated. Food served with minimal wait & was just perfect. The open steak sandwich cooked to perfection and generous serving size. I had a chicken Caesar wrap - delicious & not too much mayonnaise. So nice I had to review. To all the staff at The Yacht Club well done⭐️ Thanks

An excellent location on Lake Wendouree, outdoor dining on the deck no table service outside. Inside some great window seats offer a good view of the lack. Coffee was good but again an issue when I order extra hot it comes out Luke warm. Good service, breakfast menu adequate I went for Canadian Pancakes bacon and maple syrup. A bit light on the maple syrup an egg on top would top it off. Good ambience inside I thought at 9am Saturday Australia Day weekend it would be pumping but a lot of locals maybe away. A must see if in town, I'd love a wine on deck if it was later in day.

This was our first meal at the Ballaarat Yacht Club, it won't be our last. As we explore the menu our rating will probably quickly improve. We had the Turkish Bread & Dips together with the Seafood Plate for Two. The dips were tasty without being over bearing. The seafood consisted of prawns, calamari and whiting, it was fresh and well prepared n presented. The house Chardy was an appropriate compliment. The setting was very relaxing, the service friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit.
