The Yacht Club Ballarat

First visit in the decade plus I have resided here. Should have come sooner. Coffee is top class, and large is large, in thick keep-my-coffee-hot-to-the-last-sip mugs. Good friendly atmosphere, and the staff are smiling and friendly. Another lake side establishment that has earned my definite return patronage.

Had breakfast on a whim here with the family this morning, was so pleasantly surprised at how amazing the service is. Thank you for having us and providing a lovely meal and fantastic service, staff just go above and beyond. I stepped away for a moment and they kept my food under the heat for me and as soon as I walked back in I was greeting with a beautiful smile and my meal. The most admirable experience of this dining experience is we observed this amazing treatment to every patron we seen in our vicinity.

Went for a lunch and I was surprised on how good the food & service were. The seafood platter was generous - could feed 2 people. Chips were absolutely delicious!

Dropped in for a quick bite to eat after my passengers had finished their appointments in Ballarat. Good service, menu was varied(lunch time) Not over priced both were seniors. It was a pleasant change from the usual "food court" style they knew. Well done.

Food is very ordinary, but very large serving. When it is windy and too sunny, it is not advisable to dine outside by the lake. All the tables near the window by the lake are reserved even on week days and non peak hours. Overall, it is OK.

Had a lovely breakfast at the Yacht Club! The food was absolutely amazing, the service was fantastic, and the staff were so accommodating with our baby. It made for such a relaxed and enjoyable morning. Highly recommend!

A lovely place to go to, particularly when sitting next to the Lake. Lovely staff, delicious coffee, and while avoiding the "AFL Finals" today 🙄, a very relaxing place to have a delicious pudding 🤗

An excellent location on Lake Wendouree, outdoor dining on the deck no table service outside. Inside some great window seats offer a good view of the lack. Coffee was good but again an issue when I order extra hot it comes out Luke warm. Good service, breakfast menu adequate I went for Canadian Pancakes bacon and maple syrup. A bit light on the maple syrup an egg on top would top it off. Good ambience inside I thought at 9am Saturday Australia Day weekend it would be pumping but a lot of locals maybe away. A must see if in town, I'd love a wine on deck if it was later in day.

This was our first meal at the Ballaarat Yacht Club, it won't be our last. As we explore the menu our rating will probably quickly improve. We had the Turkish Bread & Dips together with the Seafood Plate for Two. The dips were tasty without being over bearing. The seafood consisted of prawns, calamari and whiting, it was fresh and well prepared n presented. The house Chardy was an appropriate compliment. The setting was very relaxing, the service friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit.
