The Yard Boutique Hotel

Along Tong Shin street near vicinity of Bukit Bintang populous tourist district. You can get lost without a map as it is situated in one of a back alley street. It is a quiet haven with cheap food available and walking distance (about 10-20 minutes - depending on your speed and familiarity of the area) to main populous area (Paviliion, Sungei Wong, Lot 10 or the LRT). ||||Stayed there for 4 nights with minimal difficulties or "complains". Service staff is friendly and approachable. The room I stayed was cosy and just nice for one or two people. Basic needs are available inside the room (Kettle, shower gel/shampoo, slippers, tea and coffee sachet etc). The bed is comfortable and cosy and the toilet is well somewhat spacious. Perhaps they should put a bathtub there. That is how spacious it is. ||||Something to improve are - Wifi (as usual for me) & the key & card for the room is only 1 and they do not have an extra other than a master key. Manager should look into that. Also the card to access the main gate to enter into the compound did not work and the service staff did not know how to activate it. Manager should teach and guide the staff as it is a hassle everytime to exit and enter the compound, needing to press the doorbell for the staff to open the gate for you especially if it is at night. It could disturb the other guests. ||||Overall, a good value and affordable stay and will come again after trying out other hotels.

Stayed one night at The Yard Boutique and it was an enjoyable experience. ||||The room was great, nice shower, nice bed, and although our room had a bit of mosquitoes, we feedback to the service staff, and they offered to put mosquito coil outside our room and it's good.||||There are many food options near the hotel, and there is a bar street within 3 - 5 minutes walk. ||||Would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cozy and affordable spot for one or two night.

Was looking for a basic place to stay in KL in between hotels- I would not recommend this place to anyone! I arrived and the bathroom was smelly and not properly cleaned. I found a worm in the shower which I reported to the front desk who seemed more irritated than anything else to have to sort it out. The clean up job was less than satisfactory.... The room was also full of mosquitos so was given a coil by the front desk. Cleanliness/bugs aside I don’t recommend the area either and as a female solo traveller wouldn’t opt for it again. It’s also incredibly noisy at night so difficult to sleep. In terms of customer service- the day shift guy was grumpy and irritable, while the night shift guy was a lot nicer.

We stayed here for three nights in May 2019. The locations is fantastic, close to Jalan Alor but still relatively quiet and peaceful. The hotel itself was average at best, the "yard" looks more like an unfinished garden with half of it being Astroturf. Our room was okay but not exactly clean, the bathroom was quite filthy. All in all a decent but forgettable stay, recommenced if location is important as it's hart to beat.

Went back to KL for a short business trip. This is right smacked in the center of the city. Super convenient to get anywhere from here. Easy to flag down a taxi, and reachable by Uber or Grab car. But the room I was in must have been right under a water pump or something, there was this constant machine churning sound all night for both nights I was there. Deco was nice, bed was comfy. Service was prompt and helpful but they could not change the room for me as they were fully booked.

I stayed in here just for one night. Outside of the hotel was very unique and cute. Full of painting , we can take a picture just like in somewhere. And we can see KLCC tower from outside. Inside of the hotel quite clean and comfy , silent. If you’re just passing through it can be your choice to stay

Location is great. But the rooms are small and poorly maintained. When we first checked in, the floor was dirty and there was hair uncleared in the toilets. Be prepared for mosquitoes for companion in the room. The toilet ventilation fan is noisy, and is turned on with the aircon, so it runs the whole night long.

a hidden gem in KL. very comfortable, very reasonable price for the complete facilities, feels like home, easy check in/out. staff are friendly, strategic location in Bukit Bintang, you'll be happy to stay and have a rest here. although the tv channel is so little but it doesn't matter, it still comfy and cozy.
