Nice place, not too far from the center by foot. Recently converted old boozer. Nice, if small room (bit too Farrell and Balled though) - we had the larger classic room. Lovely staff (Storm was very welcoming and friendly). Breakfast basket (hardly a hamper) was nice, but uncomfortable eating as no place other than the bed to eat off - a large tray was provided which helped. Very comfortable, large bed was amazing. Fairly busy road outside but no issues. One star off for the rip-off mini bar.

Came here for an evening drink and it was such a lovely atmosphere! The staff are very attentive and it felt like a quiet escape for a few hours! Would recommend their spiced crumble for a cocktail, paired with the soft cheese board was lovely! Would love to stay in one of the rooms in future!

We had the pleasure of staying at The Yard for two nights and it was a truly wonderful experience! The location is absolutely perfect, just a short 6 minute walk to the town centre, which made exploring Bath so easy. We stayed in one of the courtyard rooms and it was incredibly quiet and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room itself was lovely, with thoughtful touches and a Nespresso coffee machine that we made great use of.||||One of the highlights was breakfast, which was delivered to our room. Fresh croissants, yoghurt, fruit, and granola, it was such a lovely touch to have breakfast in bed! The bathroom was equally wonderful, modern and spotless.||||The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay, always on hand to assist. Each evening, we enjoyed cocktails in the beautiful courtyard area, which was the perfect setting to unwind. The cocktails were amazing, and the whole atmosphere was just what we needed.||||Highly recommend this gem of a place. We can’t wait to return!

We stayed during the Christmas market. Hotel was perfectly cosy and Christmassy for this time of the year. Amazing location to access the city centre and nearby parking at Charlotte Street. Beautiful room decor.. we did have the dreaded ground floor/street facing room that has been mentioned in previous reviews. It didn’t really cause an issue for us. There was a sound that kept coming on and off all through the night and I had a pretty poor sleep.. but this is something I understand can happen in an older building and isn’t really the hotels fault! I enjoyed the breakfast so much.. the hampers left on the door are such a nice unique touch. I really wish you could stay with dogs as we would definitely return! But this was a one off trip without our pup so would have to consider dog friendly hotels/air bnb in the future. Definitely recommend for anyone else though!! :)

This review might sound picky, but for £250 a night I have expectations - as it’s not cheap. We stayed in the deluxe king room.||The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was big - however, the pillows were very flat, and there was nowhere for you to put your things in the bathroom. ||There was also nowhere to do your make up (near a mirror).||For £250 a night, I expect a decent breakfast to be included. All we had was a “hamper” which had a hard, stale croissant in it, some granola and fruit juice - but no tray provided, so nowhere to eat our breakfast? So we had to eat it “loose” on the bed, which wasn’t very practical. ||Very disappointed that hot breakfast was extra, for the price we’d paid to stay. ||Also, they woke us up very early in the morning when they were delivering the hamper. ||It would have been much better if two trays were provided. ||I understand it’s an old building - but if you’re a new couple, the bathroom door was barn / slide type, so didn’t offer much in the way of privacy. Just something to be aware of. ||The skylight window had a blind, but it wasn’t blackout - so the light woke us up in the morning.||The check out time of 10am is far too early - I didn’t realise this until after we’d booked. Also very unusual, and again, disappointing. ||Their booking policy was also very inflexible which is unusual these days and did make me nervous incase something happened. ||The small details really do matter at this price point, and although it was nice, I wouldn’t return and couldn’t recommend i’m afraid, due to the cost. ||(If these points were properly addressed however, I probably would return.)

We had an unfortunate situation where we needed to move our booking due to illness, but the hotel showed absolutely no flexibility or understanding. Despite explaining the circumstances and offering to pay any difference in price for a new date they refused to reschedule and stuck rigidly to their policy without any compassion. Extremely disappointing experience—we won’t be booking here again. Probably expected given The Yard’s 3* rating. Looking forward to our trip to Bath next month in a 5* hotel with much better customer relations!

Stayed here for a local wedding - could not have been more impressed by the room, bed, friendly staff (even though we got back very late!) and location was so good for the Bath sites and shops! Great resultant recommendations too - thanks all 👍🏼👌🏼

Nice little place with paid parking in central location. Breakfast is served in rooms due to lack of common space. It’s an old inn and a little cramped. An excellent choice for a brief visit. Happy with the deal we got from Booking.com too.
