This review might sound picky, but for £250 a night I have expectations - as it’s not cheap. We stayed in the deluxe king room.||The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was big - however, the pillows were very flat, and there was nowhere for you to put your things in the bathroom. ||There was also nowhere to do your make up (near a mirror).||For £250 a night, I expect a decent breakfast to be included. All we had was a “hamper” which had a hard, stale croissant in it, some granola and fruit juice - but no tray provided, so nowhere to eat our breakfast? So we had to eat it “loose” on the bed, which wasn’t very practical. ||Very disappointed that hot breakfast was extra, for the price we’d paid to stay. ||Also, they woke us up very early in the morning when they were delivering the hamper. ||It would have been much better if two trays were provided. ||I understand it’s an old building - but if you’re a new couple, the bathroom door was barn / slide type, so didn’t offer much in the way of privacy. Just something to be aware of. ||The skylight window had a blind, but it wasn’t blackout - so the light woke us up in the morning.||The check out time of 10am is far too early - I didn’t realise this until after we’d booked. Also very unusual, and again, disappointing. ||Their booking policy was also very inflexible which is unusual these days and did make me nervous incase something happened. ||The small details really do matter at this price point, and although it was nice, I wouldn’t return and couldn’t recommend i’m afraid, due to the cost. ||(If these points were properly addressed however, I probably would return.)
