The Yellow is a gem in Fort-de-France, combining a good wine list with a well-curated menu that delivers on quality, portion size, and flavor. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
For dinner, I had the rump steak skewer with garlic cream, served with black rice and sautéed vegetables - a generous portion with well-balanced flavors. I paired it with a 2019 from the Rhône region.
To finish, a Clément 1976 vintage rum was the perfect way to round out the meal, and the gesture of keeping the bottle was a memorable and appreciated touch. The service was top-notch, Gaby is attentive and friendly, and it adds to the experience.
The wine selection is good, featuring well-known French appellations at fair prices.
Overall, The Yellow is a must-visit when in Martinique. Excellent food, great service, and a fantastic atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back next time!
