We had a wonderfully horrible time at York Dungeon 😂 highly recommended for disabled people especially as the staff were so helpful and thanks to their stairlift he was able to go around all the rooms in very old building. They even tweaked our time so we were with a big group and had a better experience. Lots of fun and certainly something to remember when they got my mum up taken into the docks. Lovely cafes and restaurants also nearby on the riverside. We parked in the shopping centre car park, but would recommend the one near the river as you could easily walk down the riverside in a few minutes to get to the dungeon.

It was a really amazing experience! The actors were really performing amazingly well in their roles, I loved the part where they would engage the visitors as a part of the show. 100% recommend as it’s worth every penny if you’re looking to do something different, have fun and also get a little frightened! If you’re not a fun of spooky stuff then it might not be for you.

We participated in the adult tour they launch every Saturday night. I personally think the drama is very sufficient. The whole tour is mainly story-based and very exciting. If you are expecting a thrilling and terrifying event, you may be a little disappointed, but overall I think it is a real-life show to experience the scene. I think it is worth it and suitable for different people to experience.

We booked tickets in advance. We were 6 people that were both scared and having a lot of fun at the same time. Amazing actors that also include the audience. Being from Norway, I could not believe I was picked out for the dock. Glad that I did not have my bits picked out by the plague lady or shouted at by Betty in the stagecoach 🤣

We had a fantastic time at York Dungeons! Pre-booked tickets made entry smooth, and the sets were incredibly immersive. The actors were brilliant, fully embodying their roles and bringing the experience to life. Highly recommend for a fun, spooky adventure!

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit the actors and actresses were brilliant! Costumes, makeup and special effects were fantastic. Both educational and entertaining. They got all of the audience engaged and it was well worth the time and money. Little bit scary but not too scary for children. I’d love to try the adults only version next time.

Visited recently with a friend and had a great time. The actors were great and it was really fun. Our overall experience wasn’t even impacted by the fact that we were going around in a small group, just meant you got picked on more during the interactive sections. We both enjoyed it

The York Dungeon is an absolutely brilliant and unforgettable experience! This isn't just a museum; it's a hilarious and terrifying journey through 2,000 years of York's darkest history. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is perfectly set with dim lighting, eerie sound effects, and meticulously designed sets. The real stars of the show are the actors. Their performances are nothing short of superb—perfectly blending comedic timing with genuine scares. You'll find yourself laughing one minute and jumping out of your skin the next. They fully immerse you in the stories of infamous characters like Guy Fawkes and Dick Turpin, making the history feel incredibly real and exciting. Audience participation is a key element, so be prepared to be part of the show and create some hilarious memories. This attraction is a must-do for anyone visiting York. It’s a great way to learn about the city’s grim past in a unique and engaging way. The 75-minute experience is packed with entertainment, and every single moment is worth the money. It's a thrilling, educational, and genuinely fun day out that you won't soon forget!
