We were greeted by a smiling, professional looking receptionist called George, and he checked me and my colleague in. The rooms are very clean and fit for purpose, and I love the layout. We are both members and came down to enjoy a complementary cheese board and wine. After a night out for dinner, we retired to the lobby to enjoy a coffee and night cap served by Tania with a smile. The setting of the hotel is great if you visit Glasgow. Thank you very much. I will definitely be back.

Loved my stay here! Being a member is definitely worth it—complimentary cheese and wine every evening? Yes, please! The vibe was relaxed, and the perks made it feel extra special. Huge shoutout to Nathan and Tania—both were incredibly friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience feel warm and personal. Can’t wait to come back!

As a solo traveller, I booked a single room. It was compact and windowless. It's the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. However, it was clean for the most part. The vinyl floor in the room could use a good scrubbing though. I had just put on a pair of white socks and after walking around the room a bit I noticed how dark the bottom of my socks were.|The staff at this hotel were amazing. All the staff that I interacted with provided excellent customer service.

This hotel is great if you want to be central to all the main attractions in Glasgow! Rail links and amazing restaurants are within walking distance. I lost my necklace which was of some value and they found it and handed it back to me the next day. It made my day. Thanks again!

I stayed here with my partner in January for a night away in the city. This was our second visit to Z hotel. This time we booked via Z hotel as a member and saved money on the room. We had a large room overlooking the front of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with sky tv which was pretty cool. The only thing I think that would be a great add to the rooms media capability would be if you could link your devices Bluetooth. And use your own streaming services etc. the staff were really lovely and helpful we had a couple of issues pre arrival the Z hotel site never took our room payment so they let us pay at the hotel. Which was a nice gesture. As well as being understanding to us being slightly later than planed due to a traffic accident slow travel inti the city. All in all we had a lovely stay and will definitely use Z hotel again in the future

The staff is so nice here!! The rooms are simple but have everything you need and are close to all major transportation hubs. Water pressure was some of the best I’ve had in any hotel. My AC didn’t work very well and I couldn’t get the tv to change the station but overall it was a good little room for two nights.

Room should not have been sold as a double. You should not have to climb over the other person to get out of bed.||The bed was hard against the wall with the tea-making table at the bottom of the bed meaning the only option to get out of bed was over the other person. There was no window. They charged over 200GBP for one night, breakfast not included.||This was easily the worst-value hotel room I've ever stayed in. The toilet and shower were screened off by a frosted-glass partition. If there is still any mystery in your relationship there won't be after a stay here.||I have stayed at the Z-Hotel before as a single and it's clean and handy for the town centre. The staff were all very pleasant.||If you get a good rate and you're on your own then it's a good option however I will never consider staying here again as a couple - there are much better-value options in town.

The Z Glasgow employees once again reminded me why I returned for the 2nd year in a row!!! Charlie welcomed me at the door like I was returning family, so professional yet genuinely friendly. I could not have asked for a better welcome, several of the staff remembered me but I could be mentioning a long list of names and several names I do not know sadly. Housekeeping is excellent, front desk and managers on duty could not have been better, simply awesome! I enjoyed the wine and cheese each evening and also several well made coffees. I had a single room and it was perfect for my needs in everyway. The staff at Z Glasgow made my trip once again a wonderful experience and I will return if all goes as planned. Thank you employees Glasgow Z

Yelp
The location is awesome, two short blocks from the Queen Street Train Station, and easy walk to the Central Station and underground as well. It's just off George Square, and within easy access to plenty of restaurants and shops. As for the room, while I think the black/glass look, there are quite a few issues with its amenities. First off, we got a first floor room which did not have any window. A windowless inside cabin. My husband said it's the first time he ever stayed in a hotel room with no view, however bad the view may be. Second, the room itself is small. Ibis and other hotels have small room too, but with better functional design. The restroom here has a large footprint, but there's no closet, just two hooks and a few hangers on the wall. In the restroom there was only a small hook enough for one towel, when they could easily have installed a rod or a few more hooks. The sink is so small it's challenge not to splash water all over. Last but not least, the bed sagged in the middle. Then again, the location is great, staff is friendly, so if you can overlook the small and dark room and don't plan on spending much time in it, this is not a bad place to base your travel.

Yelp
Cute & cozy .. & by "cozy", I mean REALLY tight quarters (We now know that is the standard for "Z" hotels). The staff was professional, engaging & attentive. Everything was clean, we felt safe & loved that we could walk around to places (even to the Bus terminal to catch the Bus back to the airport, which was much cheaper than the Uber we arrived in) The price for 2 nights at this location in Glasgow was on point! Hubby was a little claustrophobic, so we'd have to get a larger place next time. The Alchemist across the Street is HIGHLY recommended.

Yelp
I was so relieved to arrive at the Z Glasgow after where I had stayed the night before in Edinburgh! This is the second Z property over stayed at and thankfully, as I was hoping, it was exactly as I have come to expect from this chain. The staff was friendly, very welcoming and extremely helpful with recommendations, directions. The room was clean, well maintained and almost identical to the one we had in London. We arrived early, dropped off our luggage, received some sightseeing as restaurant advice from our host and off we went to enjoy beautiful Glasgow. Upon return later that day, we were able to check in and were advised that our luggage had already been out in our room. We quickly freshened up and came to the lobby to enjoy the complimentary cheese and crackers. An appreciated touch. The parking lot is not far from the hotel and costs £25 a night so it's not cheap but it is what it is. I highly recommend this hotel and the next time I'm here, I will definitely book with them again.

Yelp
I booked this hotel because it was reasonably priced and centrally located. I booked a standard room with no window which was about £45 a night. I was given my keycard and I entered the room. It was located on the ground floor. I went in and the room did not look like a hotel room. The bathroom area dominated the space. It seemed a bit industrial and horrible. I went back to reception and asked to pay for an upgrade. I decided to pay for a window room which was on the second floor. This made such a difference. The room actually looked like a proper hotel room. The large Samsung TV was placed on the wall at the foot of the bed. There was a free bottle of water. All the sky channels including movies and sports. The bathroom is frosted and not silent proof! The best thing was coming down between 5-8pm for a glass of wine and help yourself to cheese! The OH was offered a bottle of beer, and he could pick any from what was available (innes and gunn, Heineken etc). I received a 175ml glass of wine. There was a good selection of cheese but I was mostly interested in the Brie and the blue cheese. There was crackers, oatcakes, and sour dough bread. Chutneys, grapes and strawberries to finish. Overall it has been a good stay, but I would say that it is better to upgrade the room.

Yelp
I loved the Z Glasgow! Amazing location next to George Square and sadly only a bit from the shopping (sad because everything is expensive relative to the USD). The room was immaculate, and a good size for a single person. I stayed in a much more minimalist hotel in Glasgow last year, and the Z outshined that hotel. Check in was seamless, and they have a nice little bar on the ground floor. In fact, they host a free wine and cheese every evening in the cozy bar. One major caveat is that there doesn't seem to be any security at the front desk. Anyone can walk in and roam the halls. Another issue is the staff I dealt with left a lot to be desired in terms of customer service, and were not your typical warm Glaswegians. Better trading and a customer facing orientation would make a big difference. In short, however, I highly recommend the Z Glasgow. Great value for money.

Yelp
Having just checked into this hotel, the format is perfect for the price. Excellent and friendly staff. Very nice rooms, very modern (4 days old), a lovely shower and bathroom. Finally, the bed is huge, there is a power socket exactly where you want one and to top it off, Sky TV in my room. I forgot to mention I got this room for £50. Definitely, definitely recommended. Citizen M have got a serious competitor for my custom. EDIT: I booked into a different room, this hotel is about as far from finished as possible. Above the ground floor everything starts to come out.

Yelp
"Perfect location with great extras!" The wine and cheese at night was a very nice touch, as was the cafe in the lobby where you can sit and work. The location couldn't be better and the staff is very friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable! The rooms are VERY small and leave little to the imagination when it comes to the bathroom, which is semi-translucent glass and right next to the bed. I would not stay here if you value your bathroom privacy!

Yelp
Great vibes. Lots of helpful young people working here, great food and I love the free wine and cheese in the evenings! The beds are comfortable, TV had a million channels, great shower, quiet. The location couldn't be better. 10/10 would stay here again!

Yelp
I wish I could rate this higher as I like the format, and location but a hotel should have decent beds and the bed here is literally the worst. Hard as a rock and with a dip in the middle. Had to layer pillows but still couldn't get comfortable. For $250 a night the bed should be better than that. Z, take a page from Marriott. The other thing is minor but when checking in at the end of a day I don't want to be given an iPad to enter in my name, email etc. the hotel should have this already from my reservation or someone who is paid should do the input.

Yelp
Stayed there 2 nights in August 15. The place still looks brand new (it is!) and the rooms, even with no windows, are nice and comfy. Breakfast is a tad expensive (7.50£) but hey, it comes with a fresh bacon roll ! Nice touch : 1 night in the hotel = 1 complementary glass of wine in the pretty café area and free access to the late afternoon cheese buffet. With scottish blue cheese. Paradise.

Yelp
Stayed here for a couple nights during July 2016. It was just what we needed for a short stay- the rooms are definitely small, but clean and modern looking. The complimentary wine and cheese buffet from 5-8 was a nice touch! One major thing to note is that the bathroom in the room was basically a partially frosted glass box with close to zero privacy. Since I was staying with my husband, this was fine, and even a source of amusement to us, but definitely something to consider before you stay there with someone you feel awkward pooping in front of.

Yelp
Spent two nights here on the beginning of my whirlwind tour of Scotland. I booked based off the recommendation of another-to-remain-nameless travel review site (with a website motif splashed in greens and yellows). I think the best way to describe Z Hotel is a no-frills hotel with all the frills. It's definitely budget conscious. You are paying to rent a room with a bed, TV, toilet, shower, and a tea service...but of the highest quality. I was very comfy in my Glaswegian Z hotel room. Staff was nice. They also double as a cafe? So they have a continental breakfast for a bit of a steep price but you get a bacon roll with it. It's alright. It gets a star knocked off because the hose to my shower head sprung a leak my first night which made showering difficult (but not impossible). It was a minor inconvenience that I told the staff about a couple times but there really wasn't an effort to get it fixed while I was there. It certainly didn't ruin the stay but if I was staying at a different (frillier?) hotel, the service would have been more prompt. Sorry, Z Hotel....but you still get a generous 4 stars from me.

Yelp
It's totally acceptable quality of room compared to price. Free wifi reasonable breakfast quite room I want to complain about no permission of elevator for customer and female manager, Loredana Rotaru's impolite attitude about Foreigners.
