We loved it here! My wife and I booked this as an addition to our accommodation stay at Sierra Nevada. Even though the place was full of other couples we felt completely attended to. The food was really good. Fantastic even. All five courses were exceptional and we left feeling very full but also content as we walked through the garden in between meals and could see where our food came from; straight from the soil. Thank you Zin House! See you again in future.

We had the good fortune to make this place our choice for our Christmas lunch. The venue was amazing. The staff were attentive, efficient and overall they were fantastic. The buffet laid out for us was exceptional with no one going hungry. There was plenty for seconds and I saw some patrons going for thirds. The price was fair and affordable with all alcohol included. Having a mother in law that is very picky about here requirements. All people with special requests were looked after as first class patrons and not an afterthought. They were given first choice before the rest of us plebs had a go out the mains. Overall there is not a bad thing I can say about the experience. 5 stars is not enough. Excellent work you deserve all the accolades you get.

I celebrated my 40th birthday at Zin House with a group of 11 ladies. We opted for the set menu with matching wine and both were AMAZING!!! Ben was our waiter and he was accommodating and knowledgeable. We spent 4 hours enjoying our dining experience with the courses split by a wonder through the incredible grounds. We finished off with a wine tasting at Lowes, hearing stories from the winemakers. I HIGHLY recommend Zin House for your next dining experience.

It‘s a beautiful setting (view, garden, seatingarea), amazing food (the ravioli still makes my mouth water!!!!) and the wine pairing was super! The staff was very attentive, nice, informative and helpful - it was a pleasure and worth the price all along!!

EV: charging is fantastic! Thank you so much, Zin House! I highly recommended you come earlier to immerse yourself into the view and outdoor seating. The scenery is breathtaking with golden sunset. Food is great. It lives up to a well deserved 1 chef hat. Service is fantastic. We felt as home and thoroughly enjoy the fresh produce and delicious cooking. Matching wine is great, too with stories. Fascinating. Highly recommended. It’s one of our high light in Mudgee.

Two long lunches over consecutive days was a bit of a splurge. We did the pipeclay lunch the day before, and so the comparison was fresh. Unfortunately Zin came in second place. The food was good, though the portions small. Especially the emu egg pasta. The pace was a little slow, and the suggestion that we go for a walk mid lunch felt a bit vague, as others have mentioned, having a guide or even a destination would have worked better. The wine pours were tiny. And one of the waiters was a bit unkempt, with scraggly hair, partly untucked shirt, and a bit of excited spittle when explaining the dishes. If I were to do two long lunches in a row, I would opt for Zin House first and Pipeclay second.

The Winery and surrounds are lovely. Service was great. Was disapointed with the size of the main dish. We had Confit Chicken with Artichokes and warm vegetable salad. It arrived with 1 Drumstick and 1 small thigh piece. The food was tasty, but doesn't go far between 2 adults. For $95 pp, I expected more food. We left feeling hungry.

Yelp
Fortunately booked well in advance for our party of 6 to enjoy Sunday lunch over a long weekend here. I say that because shortly after I booked they featured in the Sydney paper and were immediately booked out. We had a beautiful day for it and the staff kindly set us up outside in the sun with suitable refreshments to slowly slide into lunch - no hurry. The food was fantastic -house made bread and butter, olive oil to die for, and a set menu of 6 fantastic courses. Bread and dips, beetroot and blueberry tartare, asparagus and stuff, wagyu and carrot, cheese platters and a desert of rhubarb and raw honey ice cream to finish. A must do if in Mudgee.
