A lovely experience for a day out in Mudgee to enjoy the local food, wine and views. We had the classic Zin lunch which was a set menu and paired wines. Highly recommend the experience which was about 3 hours. Menu does change seasonally and won’t exactly match what’s online but very similar. Staff were attentive and matched our pace of eating and drinking.

A Delightful Feast at The Zin House – Highly Recommended! I had an absolutely wonderful time at The Zin House today. The setting is peaceful and breathtaking—nestled between vineyards and gardens, it instantly makes you feel grounded and relaxed. The food truly reflects the best of Mudgee’s seasonal bounty. Each plate was thoughtfully designed and paired to a perfect wine—elegant yet hearty, fresh yet comforting. What struck me most was the pace of the experience. The team never rushed us; instead, they let us savor every course while wandering through the gardens with a glass in hand—pure bliss. The service was polished but warm—exactly how a classic long lunch should feel. It’s no wonder this gem has earned spots in top dining guides and consistently high ratings. If you’re visiting Mudgee, do yourself a favour and book here—this is refined, grounded, soulful dining at its best.

We loved it here! My wife and I booked this as an addition to our accommodation stay at Sierra Nevada. Even though the place was full of other couples we felt completely attended to. The food was really good. Fantastic even. All five courses were exceptional and we left feeling very full but also content as we walked through the garden in between meals and could see where our food came from; straight from the soil. Thank you Zin House! See you again in future.

The food and experience was amazing. We had a group and were seated in a private room. The waiters were just delightful and very attentive. The fact that this serves food made from the local area makes it all the more special. The only criticism if Lowe was that as part of the meal we were able to have a free wine tasting in the tasting room at Lowe following lunch however when we went over to the tasting room, there was no one to greet us or to do the tasting, so we left. But we couldn’t fault the Zin house.

Zin House was the perfect location to celebrate my birthday, the location, the ambience, the decor and service could not be faulted. We chose the 3 course $95 options and there was plenty of food, which was locally sourced and top class. The only negative comment was the slow cooked lamb dish although delicious, tender and extremely tasty. It lacked colour, looked bland and did not appeal to the eye. The staff were tremendous, they allowed us to enjoy our long lunch and afternoon without making us feel they wanted us to leave. Thank you we will be back

We had the good fortune to make this place our choice for our Christmas lunch. The venue was amazing. The staff were attentive, efficient and overall they were fantastic. The buffet laid out for us was exceptional with no one going hungry. There was plenty for seconds and I saw some patrons going for thirds. The price was fair and affordable with all alcohol included. Having a mother in law that is very picky about here requirements. All people with special requests were looked after as first class patrons and not an afterthought. They were given first choice before the rest of us plebs had a go out the mains. Overall there is not a bad thing I can say about the experience. 5 stars is not enough. Excellent work you deserve all the accolades you get.

I celebrated my 40th birthday at Zin House with a group of 11 ladies. We opted for the set menu with matching wine and both were AMAZING!!! Ben was our waiter and he was accommodating and knowledgeable. We spent 4 hours enjoying our dining experience with the courses split by a wonder through the incredible grounds. We finished off with a wine tasting at Lowes, hearing stories from the winemakers. I HIGHLY recommend Zin House for your next dining experience.

Yelp
Fortunately booked well in advance for our party of 6 to enjoy Sunday lunch over a long weekend here. I say that because shortly after I booked they featured in the Sydney paper and were immediately booked out. We had a beautiful day for it and the staff kindly set us up outside in the sun with suitable refreshments to slowly slide into lunch - no hurry. The food was fantastic -house made bread and butter, olive oil to die for, and a set menu of 6 fantastic courses. Bread and dips, beetroot and blueberry tartare, asparagus and stuff, wagyu and carrot, cheese platters and a desert of rhubarb and raw honey ice cream to finish. A must do if in Mudgee.
