Isabelle Star LaBlanc's Guide to Minneapolis - AFAR

"I have nothing but praise for Theater Latté Da and count it among the city's exceptional stages; it's one of the theaters I love to support and it ties into a great pre- or post-show routine—when I go there I often head to Young Joni for a drink." - AFAR

I LOVE this theater group! Every performance is incredible and the actors are so talented! The venue is perfect size, so every seat has a great view! And they had ASL!

The theater is a dark, dingy warehouse without any charm or visual appeal. I had the misfortune of agreeing to accompany a few friends to "Passion." Poorly lit, ugly stage design. Most of the time, actors were in the dark, behind a curtain, or had their backs to the audience. Two miserable hours of a woman crying and crawling on her hands and knees pleading for the love of a man. What century is this?? I wanted to vomit! Plus, they were absolutely clueless as to the terrorist act that happened so close by. I'm so disgusted I wasted hours on this nonsense. First and last time at this gross place.

We have always heard good things about this theater and on our first time here it exceeded our expectations! It is a wonderful old time small to mid-sized theater that has been lovingly remodeled/reconditioned and has a very cozy feel. The orginal outside marquee is gorgeous!

Every performance we gone to has been amazing. Love the diversity of the people on stage and the small venue makes you feel like you are part of the cast. On our last visit the usher and supervisor were able to help find a better seat for my 89-year-old friend so she did not have to climb so many stairs - they were so thoughtful and kind!

Totally enjoyed Cinderella, go see it. Such an excellent modernization of the beloved classic. I loved this story much better than the original and I saw the 1965 live broadcast when I was 5. Amazing set design and costuming enhanced the story and the casting was fantastic. Incredible outing for the whole family this holiday season.

My first time at this intimate venue. Saw Once and it was marvelous ... though I’d be the first to admit that I’m not the most discerning theater patron. I just know whether or not I enjoy it! The musical performances in the 30-minute pre-show are well worth getting there early. The staging for Once was very interesting in a good way. Cast did a great job in most musical numbers though a couple may have been singing outside their range. All in all this was a great experience.

Yelp
Had a friend playing in Cinderella here, so got a chance to experience the quaint regional theater. I don't think I would have known this place existed if it wasn't for this play. The theater itself is pretty small, seems to seat about 200(ish). There is some seating that is in a balcony and there are some stairs. All in all, it was a fun space to see a play and will definitely be on the lookout for more performances in the future.

Yelp
I've been to this theater twice so far this year: once to see "Jelly's Last Jam" in April, and in early July to see "Twelve Angry Men: A New Musical". Their productions are top-notch and their actors with their singing abilities is something quite remarkable. Check-in is quick and easy and seating in the theater is comfortable. Free parking across the street in a lot is convenient and easy to enter and exit. Restaurants and bars in the area are plentiful and varied for before and/or after enjoyment of food and drink.
