We attended a film at Theatre Mwldan last week and unfortunately the experience was very poor, not just due to technical issues but because of the complete lack of customer service.
Around three-quarters of the way through the film, the screen developed red flashing streaks and one of the speakers near us was broken, causing loud crackling throughout. The film was paused near the end and we were offered the choice to continue watching despite the faults, return another day, or wait around 15 minutes while the system was rebooted — making it clear this isn’t a new issue.
While I understand that technical problems can happen, and I would not have written a poor review on this alone, what was most disappointing was the attitude of staff. On leaving the screening, there was no acknowledgement or apology from the staff member at the door. When my partner politely approached the main desk to ask about reimbursement, they were met with silence and an unwelcoming manner. There was a complete lack of basic courtesy or empathy.
We were given a credit note, and we were happy with this.... But seriously customer service is so important and a small smile goes a long way!
