Theatrix Costume House

I had the pleasure of having Gina and her team from Theatrix run a makeup workshop for all my Drama students. They were amazing! The students had such an engaging learning experience. It was so interesting to them because it was totally interactive and fun! I appreciated how organized and professional Gina's team was. They arrived early; set up the classroom the way they needed it to be; brought make up and brush kitts for the students and, at the end, they cleaned up thoroughly! This doesn't always happen with workshops. If you are thinking about a makeup workshop for your cast or your students, definitely call Gina @ Theatrix!

We had the pleasure of working with Theatrix Costume House for our production of Frozen at Trafalgar Castle School, and we can’t say enough about the experience. The team (Gina, Catriona & Georgie) was incredibly efficient, kind, and organized throughout the entire process. The costumes were absolutely beautiful and added so much to our show. The ease of adding orders, arranging pickups, and returning items made the whole process seamless. What stood out the most was their fantastic response time, consistent availability, and support whenever we needed it. We also appreciated the great flexibility they showed in accommodating our needs. We are already planning to use Theatrix again for our next production and highly recommend them to anyone in need of high-quality costumes and exceptional service.

This was a wonderful experience. We were looking to rent Halloween costumes and when we arrived For our appointment Katrina pointed us and puled a variety of options for us to choose from helping us create a unique costume of a male genie and female fortune teller! These were the best costumes we’ve ever worn and the overall experience of picking them out and Katrina’s assistance was both fun and memorable. My husband loved it. You can tell by the smile on his face.

A friend asked me to be a character for a Dungeons and Dragons themed fundraiser. I looked up costume rentals and stumbled on this absolute treasure in the heart of Hamilton. The guy I spoke to emailed pictures of 4 different outfits he arranged that would have worked. When I arrived I was absolutely blown away by the sheer volume of items available. When I got to the back of the store I saw a huge trident and a dagger, two items on my list of available weapons at my blacksmith shop. I asked if I could rent those too and knowing it was for a good cause she let me borrow them for free. I can't thank Theatrix enough for all of the effort and hospitality. In the end the fundraiser earned over $2500 for the soup kitchen my friend operates. When we do it again in 6 months I'll definitely be calling this place again.

I ordered a custom piece and was hopefully that with the cost would come quality workmanship. I had to return several times and it still wasn’t right. I needed it for a big event. Wore it once for an hour and it was ill fitted and still required to get it further fixed. No one responded to my emails last year. Now that I’m seeking another seamstress professionalism, I’m finding that it wasn’t even sewn properly. I’m so frustrated with this entire custom experience. I’m so disappointed with an order that I was absolutely hopeful and looking forward to. Etsy sent me a better quality outfit. $1000 wasted.

Theatrix made our halloween so successful! They have a ginormous selection of costumes and it was super fun to select something. Pickup and drop off was an ease and both me and my husband received so many compliments!

HUGE thanks to Gina & Catriona at Theatrix.. They went above and beyond to be sure I had the best 70s disco outfit for a hosting gig at the Annual Niagara Health Gala in the Falls this past weekend. Attention to details and bringing options in my first visit.. and then having everything set and ready to go for an easy pickup … made the stress of hosting an event with 800 people in attendance that much easier. Would recommend to anyone! Thanks again Ladies.. look forward to my next event.

When our school decided to perform 'Sense and Sensibility', we knew one of the most crucial elements to the success of the production would be the costumes. Having worked with them before on 'A Christmas Carol' in 2018, I immediately thought to call Theatrix Costume House. What an amazing experience it is working with Gina and Theatrix to get the costumes ready for our theatrical productions! Not only was Gina a pleasure to work with, her and her team are exceptionally thorough. Aside from cast measurements, we had very specific criteria for this show; from the time period, to the colour palette, to a list of required accessories. Gina and her design team found (and created!) beautiful costumes for our entire cast. We were very fortunate to be able to perform our show before the rise of Omicron, and even though the cast was masked, the costumes transported everyone in the audience back in time to a place of escape. That's what theatre is all about and Theatrix helped make that a reality. The costumes were certainly the other stars of the show!
