Theoxenia Ouranoupoli Hotel

The location of the hotel is excellent – right on a beautiful, clean, private beach that's perfect for relaxation. It’s definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, the hotel itself is in serious need of renovation. The entire property feels outdated, from the rooms to the common areas. On the positive side, everything is regularly and properly cleaned, which shows a good level of care and maintenance by the staff. As for the food, it’s decent but lacks variety and creativity. The meals tend to look and feel repetitive and visually uninspiring. A bit more imagination and effort in the kitchen would go a long way in improving the dining experience. With some updates and a refreshed approach to the food, this hotel has the potential to be a great vacation spot.

We really enjoyed our family stay. The rooms can be improved indeed (it’s a shame that a 12 year old has to sleep in such a narrow armchair-bed), but on the other, room size is excellent for three people. The location is amazing, one of the few hotels in Halkidiki that are in such a prime spot. Snacks and drinks are reasonably priced and food quality, overall. However, I thought that breakfast can be improved (especially the healthier options available). We thought staff were very helpful and polite—thanks for making our stay so comfortable!

Great value, nice sandy beach which only 2 minutes walking from the hotel, sea is clean, warm, great from swim. Pool area has 4 pools, all great with sea water. What is not great are rooms. They are cleaned everyday, but everything needs to be renowated. We had ant colony at room 153 balcony, but they easily enter room. Breakfast is monotone, dull, everyday the same, below any standard. Dinner, however was good.

Unfortunately I can only give this a poor review. The only two good things where the fact that the location is next to the beach, the other is that one girl provided good service in the buffet. Note I travel regularly for work and leisure and have stayed at many hotels in Greece, Europe, USA and Australia. Here are the details:- - Very, very, very expensive for room type and quality - Family apartment is just two superior rooms joined with door, not like it shows in the photos (as a two level apartment by the beach) - Buffet was not self serve, difficulties communicating with staff - Rooms are extremely dated, and require a desperate update - Double bed was two beds pushed next to each other, with a terribly uncomfortable gap in between, this was horrible to sleep in! - Beds where like sleeping on an old bed from 30 years ago, horrible support for the back, no pillow top - Had to pay the hotel extra for the beach beds! - Shower curtains collapsed and where dirty - Sewer smell would pervade the room frequently - Local street-rats would regularly ring door bell outside room and harass my family, take care of your daughters if staying here! - Mini-bar overheats and does not cool even water - Extremely expensive laundry service - €80 for a bag, which is absolutely disgusting! Other hotels in Greece in premium locations have charged between €10 and €20!!! - Charged for bottles of water at €1 - not clear that they will charge for water. First hotel in Greece (in fact anywhere in the world) to over charge us for (or charge at all!!) for water. Water is typically complimentary. I was shocked at this! - Tyre exploded whilst hitting poorly constructed driveway guttering as my car is larger in size, take extreme care driving here at night as lighting is poor - Funds taken out of our account two months earlier than they were supposed to as per bookings policy details Our friends stayed over the road for 30% less and had no issues….. seriously urge you to re-consider your booking………

Very old hotel ! Very old All inclusive very poor and very bad. Dont take it - Draft beer bad, juices ( sugar and watter - they serve it from some bagss very bad very bery bad.. , - Food is ok but little choises ... Coffe is terrible - if you want something nice you must pay???? if i want apple juice i must pay?? my opinion 2 stars - not more. Everything is old here, everything. Nothing has change for years. People who work are great nothing else here and i will never again come here. Very very bad hotel. Maybe Hb for people with kids Al is expensive for nothing! Same hotel for 20 old years... Veoma star hotel sa bas starim sobama Al inslusive siromasan - dosta stvari koje se nigde ne placaju ovde traze.. za Vody ( flasu) Kafu malo bolju. Sok od jabuke naplacuju.. Bas los hotel nikad vise me nece videti. Never Never again

Hotel is nice, location is perfect right on the beach. We had room with balcony and sea view. Staff was very helpful. But food was terrible, we've ordered half board and we regretted. The restaurant is a very depressing place with flies, wasps and wild cats running around, you don't want to stay there and enjoy your meal, you just want to eat and go ASAP. Also there isn't separate area for smokers, you can end up having breakfast in clouds of tobacco. One day we had a food poisoning (vomiting all night) on that day we didn't eat anywhere else so it definitely was food from hotel and our next door neighbour was doing exactly the same all night. Next day was totally wasted, we laid in bed all day. All the restaurants in city of Ouranopoli are withing walking distance from hotel and lunch or dinner for 3 person without drinks is around 60 euros, gyros even cheaper. We stayed in hotel for 2 weeks. 4 nights we could not sleep, because some crazy guests decided to have a party in the hotel room until 04:00 am. We even got to the point when hotel staff had to call police to calm them down. Hotel manager promised us to move them in to a different room but it didn't happen and we had to live with this until they moved out. One more thing, my wife said that bathroom could be cleaner.

Two stars just for the concept and location. Like all the others reviews, dirty! The food area looks like it from the 1950 😂All over looked so Outdated.We have paid for beach side we got the old side , we just said thank u and move on. Old , dinghy place . All together! the only reason I am giving two stars, is the staff was quite pleasant locations is superb! The beach is a joke with the cabana, 40euros for nothing , not even a towel or a clean space. Everyone smokes so cigarettes buts all over. The water is clear , beautiful and it will be an amazing place if they will remodel all of it. All bathrooms, old rooms, with spiderwebs all over the bathroom, just a mess! Not sure what other hotels are by the water but this a Motel 6 , not a 4star hotel. Shameful that they only sell the location and nothing more. I will definitely not stay here again until it gets remodeled. No iron, mo coffee maker no mini fridge, no ac , it turns off when you leave the room like the entire power is off, you can’t even leave you phone to charge. Tip: ask for a extra key if you at least want to charge your phone . Just a 👎 ohhh and the bed OMG so bad !!!

We booked Xenia for a double couples stay to relax and enjoy. I was a little confused when I read complaints about the food online before, but it was already booked. Now that we have been there, I can say that the food is great. There is always a variation in what you get served and all of it is greek. I hate it when there is food being served from other countries like a "german schnitzel" or else, but here, it is regional enjoyable food only. The breakfast as well as dinner were great. We also had some lunch at the beach bar sometimes which was also very good. The hotel itself is located directly at the beach, you'll have a view of the ocean, sit for each meal at the ocean and can also swim in the crystal clear water. There were also some places for snorkeling too. The rooms are not very modern, but enough for a stay and you'll probably not spend much time in there anyway :D We slept well with the AC and you can put your wet clothes outside to dry them. The shower was a bit small, but sufficient. All the staff in the hotel was very friendly, helpful and awesome! If you plan a relaxing stay at the beach, this hotel may be a great choice (there is also a dive center not far away). If you want more "action" (like clubs, this may not be the right place for you). For us, it was perfect, we really enjoyed the stay and had a great time!
