Theppakadu Dormitory

The stay was extremely disappointing, with the room being in a pathetic and unclean state, including water on the bed. The absence of an attached toilet was inconvenient, and the weak doors provided no security, especially with large monkeys frequently entering the room, which felt genuinely dangerous. To make matters worse, the canteen food was so bad that it resulted in a case of food poisoning. Given the unsafe conditions and poor quality of both the accommodation and food, it is strongly advised to seek an alternative place to stay.

Booked tiger suite expecting to be in the middle of the forest. Rooms are big but no amenities not even water. Food in the canteen was ok but if you don’t order you won’t get any food.

Good atmosphere.can see lots of animals in the night.only problem is the avilablity of foods.very limited facilites

Couldn't believe that a government property is that clean and maintained. You have the restaurant right before your stay and it's very affordable. You can spot animals at night as there is a river going right in front of the rooms.

Not the best of the dormitories but still you will find all the basic amenities. Better to carry an emergency lamp as you can expect power cuts but not very often. It has the best scenic views and you can find some animals at your door step early in the morning if you have luck. The banyan restaurant will be the only source for food which will be very timely. Overall we had a very pleasant night.

We are 6 + 1 stayed lived in dormitory 3. It’s a good dormitory with a hotel near by banyan restaurant. Service was good. Nice and calm area. Make sure you download offline maps ahead of time. They have water heater. It’s a small room. You’ll see forest habitants like forest pig, elephant, peacocks etc in the early morning near the river. Overall we like it.

Stayed there for 1 night. I reached this dormitory around 8 PM, 2 mins after I had checked in the power had gone and never came back until I checked out around 11 AM the next day. The rooms are below average and smells bad and not worth to stay as a family. The bathrooms are decent. Overall I don’t feel it’s worth to stay there. Only good thing is the price for a group of 8 you will end up spending around 3,300 rupees. Better find a different place if u are not concerned with the price. Next morning we had to checkout without even taking bath as the heaters weren’t working and water had ran out because of no electricity
