"Sure, the water in Miami is pretty to gaze at from your lounge chair. But give yourself a real experience and hop aboard Captain Stan Saffan's 58-foot sportfish boat, with his crew for a day (or half-day) of deep-sea fishing. It’s not just any old tourist who decides that spending a day at sea fishing for marlin, sailfish, or hammerhead sharks qualifies as a good time. The best fishing experience ever! Lots of cool fish and a trophy Barracuda, and Amber Jack along with several other great fish. The trip was for my daughter’s high school graduation trip and she had so much fun and can not quit smiling. Now we will just wait for her trophy Barracuda to be mounted. Captain Stan Saffan got us on a boat with Captain Adam and Mike. Talk about a clean boat and kept clean and ready the whole time fishing. The crew worked hard.took great care of us.

Had booked with my family for an evening trip 1-5 With Capt. Mike and Capt. James. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable, enjoyed their work because they love being on the water with tight lines! At the start I jokingly asked Capt. Mike if we could rig up some Bonita for sharks if we happened to catch any and he jokingly looked and me and asked if I thought he was an amateur. He showed me his coolers of bait, live and dead (including Bonita) and asked what we wanted to catch so I told him a Hammerhead. We didn’t get a whole lot of bites that day but we got two good keeper KING MACKEREL (about 38inch and 36inch) and an undersized one that we released. Once we had secured a good amount of fish they rigged up the Bonita Capt. Mike showed me and within 15 minutes we had a fish on! I know Capt. Mike didn’t dive in a slap a hook in a Hammerhead for me but it was exactly what I asked for, we hooked up on a 7ish foot Scalloped Hammerhead! It was a crazy 1-1.5 hour fight that My dad, brother and I rotated in the hot seat to bring the fish up for a few photos and let her back out. Boy was that an experience! You can’t always go out and catch limit but to catch enough to feed 6 people a few dinners AND to reel in that BEAUTIFUL Hammerhead was blessing, especially with Captains Mike and James knowledge, service and banter. All around 5 stars service, hospitality and fishing!! Would HIGHLY recommend you consider Therapy IV for your next charter!!

I hate when you don’t want to leave a glowing review because it only makes it harder to book for next time! We had an amazing trip out with Capt. Adam and Mike. We booked a full day expecting to mostly hang out with our family and enjoy some nice weather, it was exactly that and more! Packed a cooler of snacks and drinks, met at the dock at 7:30 and off we went! We had the best directions on where to stand what to do, it was awesome seeing how much time and work goes into the day for the crew. The knowledge and technique was amazing to see. They not only taught us a thing or two but we caught some amazing fish! We can’t wait to go back, y’all just don’t book all the good dates up :)

We took an afternoon 4 hour trip. The crew (CPT. Mike and FM James, were outstanding. Made us feel right at home from start to finish and were very patient with our young ones. The kids had a blast, crew was on extremely knowledgeable and took care of our every need. Our kiddos caught king fish and barracuda. The crew was extremely helpful teaching the kids how to handle and hold the fish. Once back on shore they allowed us to take as many images as we wanted, then cleaned our fish quickly. This trip was overall an outstanding experience, Therapy IV will be our go to for offshore trips moving forward.

Google
What a great experience! This was on my bucket list and it exceeded my expectations. We were met by Captain Adam and Mike. We started out slow. After about an hour we hit two massive sailfish five seconds apart, one measuring 98 inches and one measuring 102 inches. Man what a rush. It took about 40 minutes to pull them in. It was pure adrenaline. We couldn’t have done it without the Adam and Mike’s help. They were awesome. I would definitely recommend Therapy IV.

Google
What an incredible experience!!! The crew made accommodations and help us board, as a member of our party recently had knee surgery. Adam & Mike made us comfortable right away & coached us through everything (some of us are first-timers). We honestly would have had a great time even if we didn’t catch a thing, but snagging a *grip* of fish, including a GIANT black fin tuna, was definitely icing on the cake.

Google
First about the crew and the boat! Captain Mike and first mate James were 100% professional. The boat itself was clean with plenty of room inside and out. Now for the best part—the fishing! This company offers a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. We brought in a beautiful 91-inch sailfish! 🎣 We'll definitely be back in August! #Fishing #Sailfish #BoatTrip #CaptainMike #August #Adventure

We were met at the dock and greeted by Captain Stan who’s been doing this for 60 years. He introduced us to Captain Adam and first mate Mike who actually took us fishing. The boat was nice and clean and the cabin air conditioned. Mike did all the heavy lifting baiting all the hooks and setting the lines in the water. When the tuna and Bonita bit it was our turn to reel them in. We had a great time fishing as they couldn’t be any nicer. On the trip in we had a pelican land on the back of the boat as Mike fed him a few fish. He told us the same pelican stops by every trip for 20 minutes; then flew off. At the dock Captain Stan greeted us to see how our experience was and gave us T-Shirts. Captain Adam cleaned and filet’d our fish. I would highly recommend this boat.

Yelp
Great time with captain and crew. Caught around 15 fish for the day, which was considered a slow day for them.

Yelp
One of our group's biggest highlights for the Miami trip was deep sea fishing. It was a perfect activity to do as a group and also a unique activity that can only be done at certain cities like Miami. [Reservation]: I called (1-305-945-1578) and booked a reservation one month ahead. The call receptionist happened to mention that the day of our reservation (July 11th) will be Captain Stan's (owner) birthday. Please note that the company did not send any email or text confirmations on my reservation and I simply called within 48 hours of our scheduled time to re-confirm my reservation. [Parking]: Plenty of free parking spots within Haulover Park Marina (10800 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33154) and please park near Kelley Fishing Fleet (see Google Maps). [Meeting Spot]: The provided address (Bill Bird Marina - 10800 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33154) is the correct entrance, but the boat and the crew were actually located right next to Kelley Fishing Fleet (see Google Maps). [Price]: $950 plus 20% gratuity for 1/2 day (4 hours) deep sea offshore fishing in a private boat + an experienced fishing crew. The boat can hold only up to a maximum party of 6. *** 1/2 Day Deep Sea Fishing for a Party of 6 *** [Check-in]: Initially I had a mini panic because our party arrived 5 minutes late (8:05 AM), but luckily it wasn't an issue and the crew told us to buy bottles of water at the Kelley Fishing Fleet's booth. Our boat officially left at 8:15 AM. [8:15 AM to 8:30 AM]: Captains James welcomed us and went over some basic instructions. I had to sign in and pay first before the boat can leave. The interior of our boat had AC and it was much needed in a hot & humid summer in Miami. [8:30 AM to 9:00 AM]: Our group first started with fishing near the shoreline. The boat stood still and each one of us got an opportunity to hold a fishing pole. Whenever a fishing pole had a movement, our captains gave us a cue and we had to do the classic pull and reel. Our captains said our group was really lucky and everyone in our party was able to take pictures with fishes that we caught ourselves. Apparently we can keep and take fishes home, but our party didn't know what to do with them so all of us released our fishes while our captains kept some fishes for themselves. [9 AM to 12 PM]: For the remaining 2.5 hours, our boat stayed close to shore and cruised/circled around South Florida waters (I recalled our captains said we are in Bermuda Triangle). Our group told us that at this point what we are doing is catching and not fishing. The boat was moving at a good speed and each one of us reeled the poles whenever our captains gave us a cue. Our captains reminded us that we were one of luckier groups as other fishing groups they guided occasionally had dry spells. We did end up having a dry spell at the 3rd and 4th hours, but we still managed to catch few more fishes. By 11 AM our group was beat up and felt very tired, so I told our captains that we would like to back once we hit 11:30 AM and our group came back at 12 PM. We greeted Captain Stan at the dock and said Happy Birthday to him. Lastly Captain Stan will mail out free t-shirts after a review is written on the Tripadvisor page. *** Overall our party had a fantastic & one heck of an experience. Captains were great on leading our group and no one felt seasick. Highly recommend this exciting and exhausting activity to a party of 6 or greater. P.S. - Please don't forget to bring sunglasses and if not then ask captains for free plastic sunglasses. P.P.S. - I noticed the crew uses Sun Bum Continuous Sunscreen Spray SPF 50 and yes just ask captains to borrow a sunscreen if you forgot to apply it. P.P.P.S. - Don't worry about cell reception (no issues with T-Mobile) and so you'll be able (1) to post live catches on social media platforms and (2) to hide inside of the boat for nice AC and browse social media because one of our friends did exactly just that and felt tired only after few catches.

Yelp
My family and I had an amazing experience with Therapy - IV deep sea fishing - we were greeted by Captain Stan at the dock - and taken on our half day fishing trip with Captain's James and Adam. Both were excellent - professional, courteous and patient and boat was quality. The trip was a 5 star - several Bonita's caught and a 7.5 ft golden hammerhead to finish the afternoon off (carefully released - post photographs) - thoroughly recommend.

Yelp
HOLY WOW is what I have to say about this company. Not only did we catch a ton of fish, the service was the best we've ever experienced. First time fishing with this company and we will definitely be back to do it again! We caught multiple (and I mean 5 or 6) mahi mahi, and a sail fish!!! Mike and James were amazing, so friendly, helpful, answered all our questions, and constantly kept the lines in the water! The mahi were biting fish after fish! James worked very hard to give us the most fishing time, and Mike was on point tracking down the areas to fish. James kept the boat clean after each fish, I know I know fishing is a "dirty" sport, but it doesn't mean we have to look at fish guts/blood and smell it the entire time - and he did a damn good job at it! James filleted our fish for us too! Mike & James thank you so much for today!! Stan, you were so awesome to meet coming into the dock - great company!

Taylor C.

Yelp
This is our 3rd year fishing with therapy having james as our mate & he never disappoints!!! The people who work here are friendly, helpful & work hard to make sure you have a great experience! We have been to 2 other charter company's and nothing compares to Therapy! They don't charge extra for cleaning the fish or for you to keep the meat! Can't say enough great things about the company and will be back next year.

David S.

Yelp
Capt James and Capt Mike took us out to the Gulf Stream on a rough day. They managed all of us very well including my 9 year old granddaughter who caught the biggest Mahi in the group. We were catching Mahi and Barracuda at the rate of 1 every 20 seconds. It was awesome! Definitely will book again with other family members and friends.

Monica C.

Yelp
My family went out with Capt. Adam and Ryan last week. Such a wonderful experience! They were so welcoming and knowledgeable. Ryan never took a break from manning the lines and helping us reel in the fish. We caught King, Mahi, and Bonita. Hanging out on the upper level was really fun on the journey to and from the dock. Highly recommended this boat and the crew. Will look forward to coming bac

Ben B.

Yelp
Crew was reasonably friendly, but over-pushy for tips and taxidermy. Fishing was ok. Charged tax on the tip. We tipped 30% and they pushed for more. That's not right. Owner was pushy for referrals too. How about "hey guys, hope you had a great time!!" Instead of "send more people to us and let us know if you wanna get that Amberjack mounted. Just call this number..." We wanna fish for a break from getting fleeced by the rest of Miami Beach, ok?

Tom C.

Yelp
Great day out on the water with Therapy IV. Capt James and Capt Mike were awesome. The day started off slow but my son hooked a massive 10' Bull Shark. My son fought him for over an hour then my daughter and myself took shifts to bring him along side the boat before releasing him. Thanks again to Capt James, Mike and Stan for an amazing experience.

Todd S.

Yelp
A great experience for my kids. The mate and captain said it was slow but my son caught the fish of a lifetime and my daughters each had long hard fights. The crew was perfect and the fishing was pretty darn good.

Mike Y.

Yelp
Our family of four had a great 4-hour trip with Capt. Adam and Ryan on the Therapy IV! Before booking, I called around to several boats and after speaking to Captain Stan, I knew that is where I wanted to book. Therapy IV was also highly recommended by our hotel. One of the biggest advantages is that, because Of where they're docked, you're fishing within a few minutes! Adam did a great job piloting the boat and Ryan worked his tail off setting up and adjusting the lines to make our trip the best it could be. The time flew by and we ended up with almost a dozen bonito and kingfish as well as a trophy 50" barracuda and monster 7-foot shark! When we got back to the dock it was great to meet Captain Stan and thank him and the team for an outstanding day out on the water. Highly recommend this Charter!

Donald D.

Yelp
We came to captain Stan's Deep Sea Fishing company with the task of fulfilling a bucket-list dream - to go deep-sea fishing in Florida and to catch a prize. He and his crew delivered - big time - and we came home with a trophy to be hung on the wall and an experience we'll never forget. We'll brag about it for years to come. Stan was friendly and his boat - Therapy IV - was beautiful and clean. Jamie, our captain for the day, was equally friendly and made sure we were all comfortable on the cruise. Carl was the other crew member for the day and handled all the baiting and helping with fishing. He was a great teacher and coach, who pushed my wife through a 30-minute fight with a 70 lb. trophy fish. She couldn't have done it without his inspiration. Even if we hadn't caught anything that day, we still would've had a great day. We recommend this great crew.

J E.

Yelp
We chartered a half day trip. Capt Jamie and Carl are as good as it gets! Carl worked extremely hard to keep the lines in the water and to get us on fish! The Therapy IV boat is a beautiful boat and extremely well kept. The big fish we caught were 2 Black Groupers (approx 40-50 lbs) and 4 large amberjacks (one had to be close to 60-70 lbs). Such an amazing day! If you are going fishing, do yourself a favor and book with these guys! Thanks Capt Jamie and Carl! Jeremy

Andrew C.

Yelp
Before even leaving the dock, the captain is already asking for 20% gratuity and giving an 15 minutes gimmick sales pitch on how they offer taxidermy and tracking on certain fish caught for an additional $1500. Once in the water, the captain seemed to only care about making sales, his commission/gratuity than catching any fish. While having our shark on the line the captain later came back and offered an $800 "stimulus special" for the same $1500 service then continued to speak for another 10 minutes. It got to the point where I became very annoyed. If you're a veteran, they didn't offer any sort of discount even though they take pictures of you on board holding a flag for their website and really push the narrative that they "support troops". It's very misleading . This charter seems to only really care about profits and their personal image. I would highly recommend going with someone else. Disappointing experience for the rate paid. Managed to catch 1 small shark and 4 bonito on our half day.

Erika C.

Yelp
The Therapy IV delivers fun! Captains Stan & Chris made our first deep sea fishing experience very easy and memorable. They were both prepped and ready for us to board, and we arrived in the Gulf Stream right on time! Chris explained the reel system on our way out and how to reel, and he also pulled the rest of the line out of the water when we had fish on. He also cleaned and cut fillets for us right on the boat. We caught around 15 fish (mostly tuna and kingfish)! Good day! Customarily, the captain keeps a share of fish, but no more than half. Also, be aware that tipping is also customary. Be sure to let them know what type of fish you'd like to take home. We took home only tuna, but looking back, I would've liked to have a bit of kingfish as well just to try. There is a built-in cooler for drinks and food, but I'd recommend bringing another to keep your catches fresh. There's also an air-conditioned cabin. This was nice to take a rest on our way back.

Tj C.

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Mike and Chris kicked ass today while taking 3 of my buddies and myself out for an afternoon of fun. We brought between 50-60 tuna into the boat, a Dolphinfish, and topped it off by catching an 8ft Hammerhead shark. Such a bad ass adventure that none of us will ever forget. The boat and gear were both in excellent condition as well. Thanks to everyone at this company for being so great at what they do to make this so fun and memorable for us!

Kerry W.

Yelp
Highly recommend this charter! These guys go beyond above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience. Worth every penny.

Chris O.

Yelp
This outfit is great! Stan made sure he answered all of our questions before booking since it was our first time going out. Captain Adam and first mate Ryan worked very hard to make sure we had a great time and caught fish! Would highly recommend them. We will come come back next time we are in Miami.

Joey F.

Yelp
Best fishing trip I've ever been on. The boat was excessively large for our 6 person charter trip, which was a plus. The staff was so cool and down to earth. They let us bring our own drinks. But most importantly we caught 30 tuna, 2 sailfish (let go free), and a huge barracuda.

Stephen J.

Yelp
I know that I am technically violating the rules as I never fished here. But I think it is important that people know what very thoughtful and caring people own and operate Therapy IV. My best friend was on Therapy IV last year. It was a Sunday. I spoke to him on the boat and he had just caught his first sailfish. He was in fisherman's heaven. He sent me pictures of the whole party. We made plans for dinner that Friday. He sounded so happy. Sadly, that night, he passed away from an enlarged heart, and I never saw him again. This year, the owners happened to put his picture in their calendar. I called the establishment and asked how I could purchase some for myself, my family and friends. When he inquired why, I told him the story. Within a few days, the owner sent me a dozen calendars for me to share, and a T shirt as well. We all got to see our buddy one last time in the calendar, and I wear the T shirt with pride, and think of my buddy. Thank you to the owners for being so understanding and generous. You are a class A act. I do hope to meet you some day soon.

Mrs. W.

Yelp
We rode out on the Therapy IV to bury my father-in-law's ashes at sea. Captains Dawn & Stan and crew could not not have been more helpful or more accommodating. They helped to make a tough day easier, and really just a wonderful family experience. Thank you - thank you - thank you!!

Doug J.

Yelp
Worked great with Captain Stan to plan our buddy's 60th birthday. The experience was fantastic. Great crew; Mark/Keith. Great boat with plenty of room for six plus crew. The boat is first class, the equipment and gear updated and in great shape. We got the birthday boy his big Amberjack and we all had a great time. I highly recommend Therapy IV for anyone who wants a great open water sport fishing experience

Elaine H.

Yelp
First time fishing in my life, no matter how well it goes, it will stuck in my life for a long long time. Furthermore, we were able to capture the shark! I mean, the REAL SHARK! How many times in your life can you adventure that?? It took us such a long time to pull the string, not too fast so as not to piss off the shark, yet fast enough to make sure it was not sliding away! So much fun! Don't know how others think of fishing, as for my experience, it was extremely rough. Probably I need to work harder to build up my muscle...or probably I just need some simple technique haha. Anyway, it was a cool moment in my life seeing the fish swimming closer and closer and eventually came to me, alive. In the end, you can ask for taking away the fish, cook it or eat it raw, it's your choice.

Kristy W.

Yelp
Awesome non stop fishing. Even got some trophy catches. Cait wait to book again. Well worth the money!

Jeff F.

Yelp
Best fishing experience I had, at one point we had 8 fish on and there was only three of us to reel them all in. I know we had some luck that day but the captain and deck hand made the trip really enjoyable!

Jack S.

Yelp
I have had the pleasure of utilizing this service for a half day of fishing for the last three out of the four days. Captain Jamie and Keith did an excellent job putting us on fish and bringing fish into the boat! Types of fish that we caught Bonita king fish barracuda. They are very professional and provide great service from the beginning to the end of the trip. Including for laying out whatever amount to fish you want to take home with you. I highly recommend them and will most certainly use them the next time I am in the area. Stan, the owner, does a great job in pairing you up with people to help reduce costs if you are willing to do a split charter with someone. Very personable and a great guy.

Y N.

Yelp
This was my first time in Miami as well as deep sea fishing and I must say Therapy 4 is the only way to do it. It was a very personable experience, and our crew was AMAZING! We caught over 20 fish and took back seriously 10 lbs of blue fin tuna back. They were about to keep giving me more! I would not even consider any other place but these guys!

Teal N.

Yelp
I'm already disappointed and I didn't even book a charter yet. Called Captain Stan to inquire about rates, availability, food & drinks, ect and to book him (Prior to seeing the Yelp reviews). But as soon as he answered the phone he seemed bothered that I was calling. He rushed through what seemed like a phone script and made me uncomfortable to even ask any more questions because I felt I caught him at a bad time. So instead, giving him the benefit of the doubt, I emailed him with my other questions. But no response back. And to top it off, I wanted to schedule it for this Sunday and he said since there's a storm now, to call after Monday (5 days from now). What?? This is supposed to be a birthday gift! After all the positive reviews I JUST saw on here and on other sites before, I thought this would be a good experience. Made it an easy decision for me to go elsewhere.

Jeff M.

Yelp
Pros: $180 per person for 1/2-day. This is an excellent price for what you get, which is essentially 4-6 hours on an excellent boat with two seasoned fishermen helping you along. On some trips where the fish are biting left and right, this is probably the best deal you can find anywhere in Florida. Neutral: BYOB. This isn't anywhere on their website, but I'm glad that I read another Yelp review that said this before I went on the excursion. They'll let you bring food, beer, liquor, whatever onto the boat and they have cups and ice chests and fridge space to store everything. The only thing they provide is bottled water. Cons: They pressure you into giving a 20% tip up front - BEFORE THE TRIP STARTS. What? I don't tip you until the end of the trip, and you are not ENTITLED to a tip unless I think you deserve it. I didn't give into the pressure they put on me, so I waited until the end to give them what I thought they deserved, but I saw firsthand how them asking this made the other passengers feel uncomfortable. They try and talk you into taking your fish (even if it's a 5-lb. bonito fish), to a taxidermist that they are partnered with so that they'll make more money on the side. They don't fillet the fish that you catch and let you take it home. They keep it themselves or sell it. Captain Stan (the proprietor of the company) is a jerk. Just as an example, he flies a large Trump flag from his boat. He treats children poorly. He doesn't have ANY manners when dealing with his passengers. I'm definitely going to use them again if I ever come back to Miami because in the end, they're the best deal. I'll just be sure to bring cash for tips, my own food/drink, and request a boat where Stan isn't the captain.

Jacob J.

Yelp
Had a great experience on the Therapy IV. Captain Bob put us on all kinds of fish. Marc the first mate did an amazing job keeping all the lines baited and ready to catch fish. caught a bunch of MAhi Mahi in the morning then to wind out the day they took us close to shore to catch some Barracuda. The guy next to me caught his monster Cuda in the first five minutes. Myself on the other hand, didn't have much luck. Bob kept making passes close to the inlet never giving up. Marc was weaving the fishing line around seaweed so the bait would appear tasty to the fish. Bam 45 minutes later I caught a awesome fish. These guys are true pros and would recommend whoever wants to fish with the best in Florida to go out with these guys. The owner Stan was even there to great us at the dock.

Luka M.

Yelp
We had a great day on the charter. The captains were really nice and certainly knew what they were doing. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good charter in the Miami area! We caught 4-5 tuna , 2 jacks, and a monster barracuda.

Joey S.

Yelp
Stan runs a great business. We caught 4 fish. And they were determined to get fish on board, and we did. They also sent us T-shirts after the trip! Easy to do business with and all around a greedy experience.

David K.

Yelp
This is the best fishing experience you will ever have even if you do not catch anything (that is why they call it fishing and not catching). I am retired military and was treated with so much respect by Captain Bob and his first mate Chris that I will never fish with another crew for the rest of the time I charter a boat.

Ashley R.

Yelp
We did a half-day fishing excursion for 16 people between 3 boats. Everything was great (From the ease of booking, to day-of logistics). Great customer service, and great customer experience! We will be back for sure!

Randy M.

Yelp
Great charter! Captain Bob and Chris were great. Caught 91/2 foot hammerhead a 6 foot hammerhead and a blackfin tuna all in 4 hour charter. Unbelievable!!!!

Scott M.

Yelp
Great fishing trip! The weather wasn't very friendly to us, but the Therapy crew was up for the challenge so we went. Good call on their part as we caught some really nice AmberJacks. Looking forward to fishing with this group again next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Great Crew + Great Weather = lots of Tuna and a King Fish! The Leisure Family from St. Louis chartered Therapy IV on Friday, 7/30/16. We had the best day fishing and would highly recommend this company whether you've had any experience or not with deep sea fishing. Very clean and a fantastic crew.

Yelp
Man, what an awesome boat and crew!! Went out last week and we had 5ft to 8ft swells and thank god we were in Therapy IV which handled the ocean nicely. The crew was great in making sure we had everything we needed and did an excellent job catching 9 mahi-mahi's!! Definitely will do it again with them on my next visit!

Yelp
I gave them a 1 star review for the way they treated us and basically pinned us into buying a mount for the 2 barracudas our kids caught. Maybe the guides had a rough night, but we felt like we were being a pain to the guides by "making them" take us on the water, it could've been a much more pleasant experience and I was really disappointed in how they backed us into a corner with buying the mounts. They put the hard sell on our 2 kids, both under 10, from the moment we set foot on the boat. As they pulled up the fish.... "oh man, that's a trophy fish right there, that's the type we've been talking about, you can hang that one on your wall when you get home, man that's going to look great" and on and on. Admittedly, we as parents should've said no. We were all captivated with their hard sell, including the parents. They use an outfit called Gray taxidermy that is by far much more expensive than most of the other places I've called around to price it. Unfortunately the same amount of savings we would have had in our pocket to have it made elsewhere was the same amount as the hefty deposit they required on the spot, well over $600. The thing is, you don't even have to catch a fish these days, they make the mounts out of molds, so you could easily call and use anybody else you want for the mount. The fish went back in the water and you send a picture to the taxidermy company of your choice with the measurements and voila, you have yourself a mount. I wish we would've read some reviews about this process or educated ourselves about it prior to going. It would've also been more ethical and right of the guides to educate us on the fact that we could use other taxidermy services instead of shoving it down our throat and making us feel like we were required to use Gray taxidermy and had to sign up on the spot before we got off the boat or just simply not tried to make us look like we were "bad parents" if we didn't buy the mounts. It's no doubt that these guys get some form of a kickback, otherwise, they would've been more forthright with other outfits we could've used.

Yelp
As a hotel concierge there is a reason I recommend THERAPY IV to my 1Derful hotel guests. Therapy IV is known as The Best Deep Sea Fishing experience in Miami, BECAUSE IT TRULY IS! My dad my husband and myself had an incredible day out on the ocean fishing with Captain Stan, he is so professional, so nice, kind, generous and an incredible fisherman!!! We had so much fun experiencing a 1/2 day Deep Fishing in Miami. As exciting as it was safe. I will come back fishing again with Therapy IV. Thank you captain Stan for the memories you have created today!!!!

Yelp
Great experience celebrating 40th birthday for our brother w/ Chris helping us throughout. Very fun and sociable staff. We caught numerous small fish and a couple huge fish that really worked our forearms to pull in. The captain moved around where the fish were and switched between bottom and trolling when necessary. Chris cut our fish for us and provided ice for our cooler. BYOB is important to remember. Very memorable experience and would recommend them to anyone. They also appreciate military and gave a discount.

Yelp
Capt Mike and Keith were great guys. Took my 11 year old boys, cousin and father in law. Half day trip was perfect (8-12). I recommend renting the whole boat (6 people)...it was almost the same as costs as renting for 4...then the boat and all fish are your groups. We caught two huge dolphin fish and multiple black fin tuna. Both capt Mike and Keith first mate were very accommodating to our family. Great experience and highlight of our Miami vacation.

Yelp
Captain Stan and first mate Chris are the real deal. We came down for a bachelor party and asked our concierge to recommend a deep-sea fishing guide. I must say I was left speechless. From the moment we got there both Captain Stan and first mate Chris treated us like kings. They rock! You don't find people like Captain Stan anymore. That old school deep down american loving gentleman. They went above and beyond to give us a great time. We had a bad experience with another deep-sea fishing guide in FT. LAUDERDALE, but Therapy IV is and will be the highlight of our weekend because of Captain Stan and First mate Chris. I recommend them above anyone else.

Yelp
This was an AMAZING experience!!! Captain Bob and 1st mate Keith did an incredible job!! The weather was raining and not good at all but that did not matter to these guys, they put us down on fish and we had the best fishing experience. Afterwards, Bob and Keith filleted some fish for us and we went to FIFI'S restaurant where they cooked sushi, grilled and fried our fresh catch with veggies!! Best trip ever! THERAPY IV is the way to go if you want an awesome experience!!!

Yelp
Second time we go out and both time these guys have been great! They are always looking out for you so that you have a good time. Both times we caught our fair share of fish to grill later that day. Don't waste your time trying get one of these cheap charters. These guys are worth the money spent.

Yelp
This was an unfortunate experience. I originally anticipated going with a different captain that I've been with before where we caught sailfish , barracuda and the captain spent time with the kids. The boat wasn't as fancy but the captain was completely dedicated to a good experience. I was convinced by the concierge of the hotel I'm in to change direction and try this fishing outfit. It was the biggest disappointment and regret ever. The captain hardly spoke to us. Each kid caught one Bonita which we used for bait fish to try to catch larger fish to no avail. The captain was completely disengaged. The deckhand was doing his best but there was no communication. The kids we're not encouraged to fish. It was a very boring experience. I truly regret spending money on this charter. I've chartered fishing boats up and down the coast. My worst experience by far. And I wouldn't normally post a review like this but the manager of the operation seems unconcerned with my complaint. So I figured consumers should know.

Yelp
Took my cousins, nephew and a few friends out fishing on THERAPY IV. We did a half day charter and loved every minute of it. We caught bonitos, kingfish and a couple of sharks, we tagged and released. So when you want to go on a FABULOUS charter with a GREAT crew to match, do not hesitate and call Captain Stan at THERAPY IV Charters. I will be back for a full day charter next time.
