Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum is a fantastic place for a day out with kids - educational, interactive, and genuinely fun for the whole family. It’s full of hands‑on exhibits where children can touch, try, build and experiment, which makes learning about science, technology and history feel very natural and exciting. There are themed zones covering everything from the human body and engineering to space and the natural world, so kids of different ages can all find something that really grabs their attention. The museum also offers regular shows, workshops and demonstrations, which add even more variety to the visit and help keep children engaged throughout the day.
The whole place is very family‑friendly: there are clear signs, lifts and facilities for buggies, as well as plenty of toilets and baby‑changing areas, which makes moving around with children much easier. There are also quiet corners to sit down, have a snack and take a break when the kids (or parents!) need to recharge. Staff are friendly and helpful, and they are great at explaining activities and answering curious questions from children. Overall, is a brilliant choice if you’re looking for a museum where kids can learn a lot, burn off energy, and still leave asking when they can come back again.
