We must echo the sentiments of the September 2024 review! While our room was lovely, the pool area was oddly quiet - no relaxing piped in music, for example. We were offered a glass of wine upon our arrival, and assumed it was a welcome cocktail as Patti sat down to chat with us. She then offered us another. The following day at the pool the lovely server, Anthony, asked if we would like a drink. We said yes, and I had a rose that he offered, and my husband a beer. We assumed this was a lovely offering of the hotel - we were never shown a drinks menu, nor was cost mentioned. At the end of our stay we were presented with a bill of 107 euros for our drinks. Doubly odd, as we were told that we could not bring our own wine with us to the hotel, nor was any outside food permitted. Breakfast was very nice, but when asked if we could have it in our room, as we were packing and preparing for an 8:30 taxi pick up, Patti told my husband no food was permitted in the rooms. I texted her to insist, and she acquiesced, but followed the server upstairs to our room to inform us that this was unusual and against their "policy." We felt that we were walking on eggshells, and that we were for some reason "naughty" children. We are both world travellers, and this was, indeed, an odd stay.
