We recently stayed at Thirty Seven with our children (ages 12 and 9). Patti and her team have created a beautiful place, filled with fabulous art. Every corner is so stylish. The breakfast was delicious. But the really fantastic thing about Thirty Seven is Patti and her team. They made sure we had everything we needed, shared advice on where to go, and booked us into some fabulous restaurants. They made our visit to Gozo so enjoyable and easy that we were really able to relax.

Our family had the absolute pleasure of staying at Thirtyseven Gozo for seven unforgettable nights. We were blown away by the luxurious experience that offered a refined, deeply personal escape on the island of Gozo, Malta. It is tucked away in the peaceful village of Munxar and felt like a private sanctuary from the moment we arrived.||Giuseppe and Patti Piazzi, the husband-and-wife team who own and lovingly operate the property, created a warm, welcoming, and charming experience for us. The property itself is meticulously curated and exudes charm, character, and sophistication. We found beautiful “moments” to be experienced around every corner. We had breakfast outdoors among olive trees, vibrant bougainvillea and other plantings designed and nurtured by Giuseppe.||Patti Piazzi handled every detail with grace, offering white glove concierge service that made our vacation feel effortless. From tailored itineraries to thoughtful touches, her intuitive nature transformed the entire experience. She had a recommendation, solution or tip for every experience we sought out.||Our rooms were a dream—cool and quiet, with crisp, pressed linen sheets and beautifully eclectic furnishings gathered from around the world.||I’ll close by saying that every corner of the property felt like it had a story to tell that resonated with the stories of Gozo we experienced on our own—The Salt Pans, The Citadel, sunsets, hikes and compelling local restaurants. ||Seven nights didn’t feel like enough. Thirtyseven Gozo isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience, and one we’ll never forget.

This really is an exquisite and exceptional place. The property is incredible, located in restored historic old farm buildings in a rural village, restored with incredible taste, flair and an eye for detail. What makes thirty-seven Gozo stand out is the kindness and generosity of the hosts who have a genuine concern to ensure you fully enjoy your time on Gozo. From the start , Patti made us feel really at home and lent us the benefit of her passion for Gozo to suggest places to visit and dine on the island and so kindly made bookings for us. She and Guisieppe are exceptional hosts. Thirtyseven Gozo may not suit every traveller - if you prefer a hotel chain with piped music throughout and 24 hour in room catering, then maybe think elsewhere. But if you want an oasis of calm and kindness in a unique and very special setting on a beautiful island, it's hard to imagine anywhere better. The service was exceptional from the team, delicious breakfasts, perfect (and very keenly priced) drinks by the pool). The only extras we were charged were the drinks we ordered and all were fully listed. We arrived exhausted and left 6 days later renewed and refreshed with a real appreciation for this exceptional place created by two people with style, flair and real kindness.

We must echo the sentiments of the September 2024 review! While our room was lovely, the pool area was oddly quiet - no relaxing piped in music, for example. We were offered a glass of wine upon our arrival, and assumed it was a welcome cocktail as Patti sat down to chat with us. She then offered us another. The following day at the pool the lovely server, Anthony, asked if we would like a drink. We said yes, and I had a rose that he offered, and my husband a beer. We assumed this was a lovely offering of the hotel - we were never shown a drinks menu, nor was cost mentioned. At the end of our stay we were presented with a bill of 107 euros for our drinks. Doubly odd, as we were told that we could not bring our own wine with us to the hotel, nor was any outside food permitted. Breakfast was very nice, but when asked if we could have it in our room, as we were packing and preparing for an 8:30 taxi pick up, Patti told my husband no food was permitted in the rooms. I texted her to insist, and she acquiesced, but followed the server upstairs to our room to inform us that this was unusual and against their "policy." We felt that we were walking on eggshells, and that we were for some reason "naughty" children. We are both world travellers, and this was, indeed, an odd stay.

This was my first time in Gozo and I absolutely fell in love with this island and this beautiful oasis that Patti and Giuseppe created! They made me feel right at home, especially since I was traveling solo, that was so important to me. I felt so safe and taken care of! Everything was so personalized and special. Patti is amazing at recommending the best places to go and things to see and she has it all set up for you! She’s the best! Staying here made my time in Gozo so much more special and I definitely recommend it! I’ll for sure be back! |Dana D.

My family and I had the loveliest time at Thirtyseven Gozo, the owners Patti and Giuseppe were the nicest people who made our stay feel like home. They went above and beyond throughout the whole process, they made the booking very easy, were super responsive with questions we had, they made really good recommendations and helped us book dinner reservations for our stay and a private boat ride to the island of comino. Patti is a very lovely person who made sure to anticipate our needs and made us feel comfortable in every way. We highly recommend and will surely be coming back to thirtyseven gozo!

We’ve stayed here twice now & never normally return to the same place. Patti and the whole 37 experience is fantastic! The surroundings are really stylish, and Patti & the team go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. ||We were here for a week with our daughter who had a fantastic time, and then we were joined by my brothers family (with 2 kids) & all very much made to feel like VIPs. ||Massive recommendation from us!

I've needed a few days to compose my thoughts to write what I think is a fair and honest review, in the spirit of helping fellow travelers. Upon looking at the poor reviews of this property, our experience was right on target.|On many levels this is a lovely, small family run boutique hotel. It's clean, well maintained and quiet. The owner Patti was communicative prior to our arrival and organized a car rental and dinner reservations, which were all lovely and appreciated. And she's obviously proud of her property and hospitable...but only on her terms. Two things and be true at once; It's a lovely hotel and Patti made some wonderful efforts to improve out stay. And she was shockingly rude to us on multiple occasions.|She offers breakfast and no other meals or snacks which is fine. Any outside restaurant worth eating at is driving distance and on a holiday sometimes its nice to just laze by the pool and enjoy an afternoon bite. But you are forbidden from bringing in any outside food. It was just so odd to be by the pool a few days, have absolutely no staff around and yet not be able to supply ourselves with a small bite to eat and it put a really bad taste in our mouth, pun intended. In essence you feel micro managed and on edge, like you're a bad house guest. |There were times we felt Patti was extremely rude to us, we could easily over hear her speaking in a way that was truly shocking. While thinking this was perhaps a one off incident and she was having bad week, other travels experiences lead me to believe this is not uncommon. I can give her grace that running a property is trying and exhausting but without getting into detail, this behavior coming from the owner that went on without incident or apology is unacceptable when you are traveling across the globe for a holiday. Will you have a lovely time staying here? Most likely, yes. And possibly, no. In looking at her other reviews, the poor ones seem to be about the rude attitude from her, so I would suggest she try and improve this.
