The hotel is ok. Very modest. Rooms are spacious. Staff was friendly at check in. Location is great. Hotel definitely needs some remodeling, but other than that, all good. I didn’t use any of the amenities, so I can’t say much about it. There is a TON of options for food right next to the hotel. As a solo traveler I felt safe during my stay at Pearl.

The Pearl Hotel is certainly an aged hotel. It could use a facelift in multiple ways. The furniture is worn/rusted. It certainly does not look much like the pictures on their website. The doors do not fit their frames and are very difficult to shut (unless you close them with force) and therefore cool air escapes the room and you are interrupted at all hours of the night by doors slamming. The walls are also not noise proof. We had quite a few noisy neighbors during our stay and had to keep the air conditioner on all night to block out the noise. Most of the rooms either look out at a moderately busy street or at a back area where you can see the Hilton just across the way. The staff are all very friendly. The rooms are not cleaned during your stay unless you request them to come by. The front desk offers Go Pro rentals, which are fantastic for use at Hanauma Bay. The International Marketplace is just down the block. It's a great place to go for meals. Beach access is about three blocks away but within walking distance. There is an amenities fee that is not announced anywhere until you show up. A little research indicates this is the norm for most hotels in central Waikiki. Overall I would say pay a little more for a decent hotel but if you don't mind all these things, the Pearl Hotel is a bargain.

Modest hotel behind the international market places. Close to food and shops/ bus stops etc...7 min walk to the beach through the market place then through the outrigger hotel or nearby alley. Rooms have microwave and fridge and front desk is friendly and helpful. Not a resort and wifi is not password protected.

Average place. When I checked in, it seemed like it was an inconvenience that I ask any questions to the young lady working. However, when I spoke later that day to a young man I wish i could remember his name (Daniel or David) he was absolutely the best, alot can be learned from him. First thing we noticed in our rooms is that they were NOT properly cleaned nor had they been for a while. We found mold in the bathroom in the shower seat that my disabled father did not use due to it being disgusting. We only found 1 floor with a washer and dryer (1 washer out of 3 was serviceable). The pull out couch was also unusable for an adult. I did love the kitchen area, saved us money on eating out. I don't think I can come back to this place, soley because of the mold we found. Needs to be inspected regularly.

The stay was great. Clean room. Great service. Convenient location in the prime location of the Waikiki strip. Due to covid there is limited room service and which you have to call front desk to arrange. This is great. It's to protect the guest and employees. The front desk staff are professionals. One of the team members is excellent, forgot his name but local Japanese, you know who you are. My apologies if I forgot your name. The hotel staff are also great. I dont mind staying here again in my upcoming visit this year. Thank you Aqua Waikiki Pearl. 5 stars for the stay

No Kids zone, which I usually have not seeking this point, but once I experienced it, there was peace, quite, calming vibe. Location was excellent, cause just next of the International market, cozy, nice, diverse restaurants were near by. Plus, easy of access to the beach as well. (~ 10 min walking.) Except the busier season, it will be great cause the staff are also charming, very smiley. Highly recommend to go here.

The photos they post on travel sites are very, very misleading. Perhaps they posted pictures from their best room? My room didn't look anything like the nice rooms they pictured. It featured stained carpet, beat up furniture that looked as if it had been painted with outdoor house paint, very uncomfortable beds, an extremely loud rusty air conditioner that looked as if had been installed by a rookie. In fact, the whole motel looked in disrepair...whoever they have do their maintenance got his credentials from a cereal box. The air conditioner looked slapped in a hole in the wall with some scrap wood nailed around it to fill the gaps. The bed had a single thin blanket sandwiched between two sheets and two lumpy pillows per bed. I requested more blankets and pillows. Unfortunetly, the blankets smelled very musty and not freshly laundered. The Wi-Fi was very bad too. My daughter and mother-in-law stayed in another room down the hall and her room was even worse! Bugs...lots of bugs in her room. The only nice thing about this motel is it's location.

A very nice play to stay in Honolulu. It's located 800 feet from Waikiki beach and it's near the international marketplace shopping plaza where you can find a lot of different stores to supply your daily needs. The front desk personnel are kind and helpful. There's a laundry on the 3rd floor and an ice and vending machines on the 7th. The Wi-Fi connection it's not the best. Some days there was not signal at all. They offer yoy daily beach towels and free movies during your stay in the hotel. The room I stayed was elegant and cozy. It has a minifridge, a microwave oven and a coffee machine with daily reposition of the te/coffee or sugar you used. Air conditioning its an important thing cos it's very hot over there, and it worked very well. The parking it's not included but if you rent a car they offer you some good places to park it. Overall a really nice place I would recommend to anyone who isn't planning to spend a lot of money in hotels.
