This Sista Can Cook

I recently stumbled upon your establishment and must say, the name perfectly captures how I felt after trying your food. I ordered fried wings, rice, and vegetables, and each dish was exceptional. The wings were piping hot, and the aroma that wafted from the box was simply incredible. The blend of spices and flavors was perfect, and I was truly blown away. The rice was buttery and delicious, and the vegetables were a wonderful complement to the meal. Thank you for such a delightful dining experience. I will certainly be back for more.

I work nearby and I’ve been craving something sweet so I picked up some banana pudding from here and it was SO GOOD! It was the perfect amount of sweetness, bananas were good and the wafers still had texture to them. If that was just the dessert, I can’t wait to come back for the food!

I was visiting the LA area from Oakland, CA for personal business. I had numerous food choices to select from near my hotel. I’m so GLAD I selected this business. Although it wasn’t the easiest to find (ghost kitchen) the food more than made up for my difficulties in finding the location. Also, I wasn’t particularly adept at navigating their website so I called and received very patient help in placing my order. I ordered the Fried Catfish and Shrimp Dinner w/Collard Greens, Fries, and Cornbread. The Catfish was seasoned well and fried golden brown. The Shrimp were large and fried similarly. Ample/generous condiments of hot sauce, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were included. The Collard Greens were tender and tasty and reminded me of the fresh greens I enjoyed from my Mother’s garden as a child. The French Fries were actually seasoned fries and were tasty although my first choice of Mac N Chees was not available. I’ll make sure to get on my next visit.😋 The peach cobbler I selected for dessert topped my meal off perfectly. Though my order was probably basic, the food quality, proportions, taste, and service rendered, I feel was exceptional. Thus, the review. I live in the Bay Area of CA where I dine out 3-4 times each month. As an African-American, I support our businesses as often as I can. Though it’s taken for granted, SOUL FOOD isn’t as easy as it seems to prepare. I am pleased to say my meal was DELICIOUS and I plan to visit again on my next visit to LA. We love the Country Bowl, with corn, potatoes, shrimp, and sausage it is absolutely juicy and flavourful and delicious.. We also love the Taco Tuesday with all the trimmings, and and the Sunday dinners are just what you need! The catfish with hush puppies is excellent. The food is well seasoned, well prepared and well packaged and the desserts are dee-licious, peach cobbler, red velvet, etc!

We've ordered food from This sista can cook for quite awhile. The service is Always friendly and professional. The food is Always received by all with "great taste" comments. It's a Must try!!❇️🐸

I was bored and decided to get some food and stubbled across this place. Fried chicken is A-1. The peach cobbler to die for. The banana pudding is heaven. The sides are all bomb. NO CAP🧢

This is a fantastic find..The food is smoking good, just about the best Gumbo I have ever had, and the sides completely complement the dishes nice to create a n superior, concert of flavor, taste and satisfaction with a little spice. 5 stars

The food is always delicious! Love 💕 the Country Bowl! Packaging is always perfect and delivery is always on time! I can always have food for a couple of days which is perfect!
