Thistle Port Dickson Resort

From the very first moment, we were warmly greeted by Sabri, setting a welcoming tone for our stay. The registration process, though using a queue number system that felt a little old school, was handled so smoothly that it became effortless for guests. Sabri explained everything clearly from the remaining numbers to the number of counters available and even offered us a refreshing welcome drink. the reception team worked quickly and efficiently, making check-in fast and stress-free. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well-prepared. The overall environment of the resort is family-friendly, peaceful, and perfect for relaxation. best experience for a newcomers!

Quiet beach and a very large resort. From the outside it looks fancy and well-kept, but inside it feels old and worn. There was visible mold on the walls and ceilings along the hallways, though not in the room we stayed in. Service was acceptable, but quite slow and not especially friendly. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of food, but it may be challenging for non-Malay guests. The pool area is spacious and nice, with two slides, but they feel unsafe for kids. There are no protective rails on the steps leading up to the slides, and the pool guards did not seem to be actively on duty.

During our stay at Thistle PD, Sabri really stood out with his warm welcome and thoughtful attention, especially when he assisted my disabled parent with getting around the hotel. It made a huge difference. The housekeeping crew did a fantastic job too, keeping our room so clean and cozy. And the food? It was just great, with so many options that everyone found something they loved. Honestly, the kindness and help from all the staff made our time there really special.

Booked a 2d/1n stay midweek and checked in early to enjoy the beach. Suriani served me and offered to check me in early and upgrade my room from garden view to pool view. The check in process was smooth and suriani provided exceptional service. Well done to her. Room was really spacious and generally clean. Water pressure could be better and the fridge was not working. Called the front desk and they immediately sent the technician over to check and it turns out the fridge switch at the back had to be turned on. This resort, service and the beach is well recommended especially when visiting midweek when there is less to no crowd. Keep it up!

Travelled during school holidays in December 2025. Saw a guest shouting to the front desk because he's been waiting for a room for 3 hours. But we got our room as soon as we arrived (around 3.30pm). Front desk staff were polite despite being shouted at.. Our room, the Family Deluxe, had a super king bed and a bunk bed for the kids, which the kids truly loved. The bathroom was a bit run down, but that didn't ruin our experience. We loved the huge pools, slides and easy access to the beach. It was a wonderful vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The environment was clean, peaceful, and very well maintained. What truly made our experience exceptional was the service from Saadiah. She was professional, warm, and always attentive to our needs. Her hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return 😃

Fantastic place to stay, beautiful place, wonderful, kind, helpful staff in the resort and restaurant. As our company conference venue, I have stayed here for one week, and it was superb in every way. Delicious food, fresh and tasty, great facilities and rooms, beautiful pool and grounds, and, again, always helpful staff who serve with excellence and kindness. In fact, every single staff member, from reception, restaurant, assisting setting up the rooms, cleaning staff… every staff member was thoughtful, friendly, kind, trustworthy and helpful. This is a fantastic resort, and management are obviously doing a fantastic job here.

We had a wonderful breakfast experience at Thistle - fresh. The spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of dishes to suit every taste from local favorites to international options, everything was fresh and well-prepared. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, making it a great start to the day. What truly stood out was the hospitality. The staff were attentive and friendly, and I’d especially like to highlight AsmahHani, whose warmth and professionalism made the experience even more memorable. Her genuine care and cheerful service added a personal touch that elevated the entire breakfast. Overall, it was an excellent experience, delicious food, diverse choices, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended.

Great pool bar, very expensive compared to local prices, though. The beer bucket was $120RM, which could have covered a full course meal for a family elsewhere. The rooms were very comfy, and the amenities were plentiful. I was there for work, but I wouldn't mind coming back for a vacation, especially with those room prices!

Felt somewhat scammed with the pics and description of the hotel. The pics are probably from the opening day as they look nothing like the actual rooms. The rooms were dated and not kept well. We booked a suite and there was a living room and a bedroom. There was only one tv in the living room. It wouldn't be as bad if the view wasn't blocked by a wall in the bedroom. We were given only two bath towels. Imagine that; only two for the entire suite. And let's not get started with the staff. Would it kill them to smile just a little? The person that checked us in spoke to us in a foreign language even though we spoke to her in English. The friendliest staff were the porter and the lady that checked us out. Go figure.
